The good - Food was nice and decently priced. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly. The bad - We were told cash only, however subsequently we saw other customers paying by card. We ordered an English breakfast which includes coffee or tea (we picked coffee), and also ordered toast and tea. However, we were charged for English breakfast, toast and coffee just to earn a few extra pence from us (the a la carte coffee is £3.30 while the tea is £2.50). Not sure if we are being picked on because we are Asian tourists.

We popped in here for breakfast on a Saturday morning as we were passing on our way to the tube. So glad we did. The food was great and the service was friendly and prompt. Really good value too, especially as its so close to tourist attractions. I had the bacon, sausage and egg sandwich and it kept me going all day!!

Just a few meters away from the busy Trafalgar Square. We ended up here because the Crypt Cafe was closed. We were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, fast service.

Lovely place. Friendly efficient No fuss. Local meaning ...No hordes of Instagram people 😎 i think IT was 10 pound now the full english or vegetarian. Revisit found first two years ago.still the Same. Good. Welcome Feeling but AS someone Else Said leave when finished they have few tables. No toilet but open ones in Crypt nearby or Trafalgar or Waterstones.

I got three bacon rolls to take away from this place this morning, rather than whatever was on offer across the road at Charing Cross station. They were absolutely excellent. Everything about them was perfect. It took a few minutes but was well worth it. Big recommendation if you’re on a morning train and looking for a life affirming sandwich. Thanks Breadline!

Google
Beware of food hygiene rating! Couldn't get the information across to the owner on how the coffee I received was scorching. After, had to literally "beg" him to "just make another please". Obviously had to pay again, and the owner requests a higher price than I just paid a few minutes before. Audacity. Also the "coffee" is filtered coffee that is used for espresso, cappuccino and all the others instead of espresso shots.

Very affordable food given its central location. Simple, no frills, gets the job done

Yelp
I has a mum and pop feel to it. Simple sandwiches and breakfast food. Fresh baked cookies and tarts. There's a lot cheaper than my hotel breakfast so I came here to get a breakfast sandwich to start my day. Pretty good location in reference to all the major attractions in town. Customer service was very nice. Plenty of seats inside to sit or you can order your food to take away.

Yelp
Food was awesome and reasonably priced. I know yelp isn't usually the go-to review place for the UK, but for us visitors it's helpful. We ordered jacket potato w cheese and beans and English breakfast. They came with tea or coffee. We went twice and tried both. They were hot and delicious. Not sure how both of us were able to eat for less than $30 ( yes that's $ not £) but I think it was a great deal considering the hotel wanted 30£ each for their buffet. Don't expect fancy here. It's quick, hot and clean. You'll be on your way fast which is why you're there, right? This is near charing cross road tube and across st from crypt at st Martin's (clean toilets).

Yelp
Friendly staff, simple and good food served quickly, fair prices. This was a great find. We opted for English bfast and eggs with avocado and toast. No frills - again simple and easy. Would definitely return

Yelp
We were staying right at Charing Cross and somehow, missed this place until the last day of the trip. I wish we had found it sooner. The service was fast and the price was very reasonable, considering the location. The breakfast offerings felt like what Londoners actually eat for breakfast. There isn't a ton of space to sit, but you could take the food to go, easily.

Yelp
English breakfast. Cold, hard, and stale. The food was pre-cooked. After the meal, the cashier girl tried to make us pay for the meal with either cash or a debit card with a pin code. No credit card. Word of advice. If yoy want people to pay in cash, post a sign, CASH ONLY. It's that simple. I highly do not recommend this place.

Yelp
Service was kind and speedy. The food was absolutely delicious. We came around 10:30 on a Saturday and it definitely gets busier. Convenient location right next to The National Gallery.

Yelp
Cute little shop with some of the fastest service I've seen in Europe! I was looking for traditional English Breakfast and this meal hit the spot. Very centrally located so I would recommend coming here if you are in the area.

Yelp
Love this place! I had 3 days in London and ate there twice. Breakfast with coffee was 8 quid. Not a lot of seating but I didn't have an issue when I was there before 8AM on weekdays

Yelp
My family happened by Breadline by accident our first morning in London in August of 2023. We ended up eating breakfast here the next four mornings. The shop is small, and the food is simple, ample, and tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. Seriously, if you're in London, go here for breakfast.

Yelp
The guy who took my order was extremely impatient and rude. My food was cold, specifically the bread that my egg lay on which was untoasted for my sausage egg and cheese. There are many better places to go. I will not be returning here.

Yelp
This cafe was a great stop for lunch. It's just a hole in the wall and probably wouldn't pay it any attention if you past it; however, you need to! The service was great, the place was clean and the food was good. While sitting you could tell that this place was the place where everyone came to on their lunch break. They serve a full English breakfast all day, fish and chips, salad, sandwiches, soup etc... You pay up at the counter and your food is brought to your table. Also, it is right near Trafalgar Square!

Yelp
On my first visit to London in 1993 I looked for some breakfast. By chance I found Breadline. Since then I come here whenever I visit London. By the friendly atmosphere the day starts well. For breakfast, lunch, dinner or just some snack, there is everything. Especially the chocolate chip cookies are fabulous. The interior has not changed since I came here first and I always look forward to returning to Breadline.

Yelp
This cafe made me to leave a review for the first time since I have used this app. An old man(seems like a manager here for sure) took my order, and I tried to pay with cash. Since I'm not familiar with paying with pounds, I gave him a dime instead of 50 cents accidentally. And then he said "What is this?" with pointing the coins, quite rudely. Is it really hard to say "Excuse me, you gave me a dime, not fifty cents." instead of "What is this"? Is it too long to say it? I even tried to be very nice when I ordered a coffee BECAUSE I know it is quite stressful to work under busy environment since I have worked in a coffee shop for a long time. But now he just made my day. One funny thing is he was very nice to Caucasian customers, which is not me.

Yelp
Breadline is a small sandwich shop with reasonable prices, steps away from Trafalgar Square. They have a friendly staff and serve a wide variety of sandwiches, including a very tasty egg salad sandwich. Parking is terrible, but Charing Cross Station is just on the other side of The Strand.
