First time in Adelaide for me. I had a wonderful time. The location of these apartments is perfect. I stayed with three friends. We had specifically requested 4 single beds. Arrived to find two singles and one queen bed. The staff were unable to offer any solution. The apartment was tiny. The living room furniture is very low-end and the decor is drab. Kitchen is very basic and the cupboard doors felt like they were about to fall off. For the price, you can probably do better.

We were in Adelaide for a festival this weekend and arrived a bit early to our check in due to a morning flight. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly and we were also able to check in earlier which was awesome. It is a budget hotel but honestly it hit the spot for everything we needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable, fridge had long life milk for morning coffee and overall the place was pretty tidy. Would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a place to stay in Adelaide. The ladies behind the desk during the day were lovely and very helpful! Thank you

It was an average stay. Closeish to the city, convenient parking. Great if you want a long stay with some amenities. The room we stayed in didn't have a washing machine or clothes drier. Basic nonetheless. If you are looking for somewhere close to RAH or close enough to the city, this is a food spot for you.

BreakFree Adelaide Apartments – Great Value and Spacious Not flashy, but definitely spacious and does the job. We had a couple of apartments, and the two-bedroom layout was perfect for four people. There’s only one bathroom, but plenty of space with a good-sized lounge area to relax. The location is convenient—right near the university and a short walk to Hindley Street. While the decor is a little dated, everything was clean and functional. The kitchen is well-equipped and ideal if you’re staying for a longer period or traveling with family. We didn’t use the parking, but overall, it’s a solid alternative to a standard hotel room. More space, more comfort, and a great place to unwind. I’d highly recommend it.

Awful place. Reminded me of commission flats with the outdoor concrete corridors. A few undesirables hanging around made me feel uncomfortable. I was in a 2 bed "apartment". Lounge furnishings were fine as was the bed. But the whole place looked shabby and tired and was just grubby. The paint on the walls has just been put on over unfilled/badly filled holes. Cheap carpet that made the place smell musty. Tap in the shower falling off the wall, air conditioner in the lounge noisy and kettle was grubby. I had to wash the cutlery to use it - all for $195! Moved to the Wyndham which whilst not apartments was cheaper and more lux. So I literally broke free from the Break Free!

We stayed at the Breakfree Adelaide for 5 nights sharing a two bed apartment with another couple. |First thing you need to know is it is smack bang in the middle of the university quarter, so is noisy at night time and most of the eatery’s and bars in close proximity are geared toward the students, so pretty average. We did enjoy a lovey stop at Peter Rabbit Cafe for brunch.|Our room was on the end of the building, opposite a car park, with loud people and rubbish trucks coming and going at all hours and load thumping music till 2 am.|Needless to say not great sleeps. |Room was clean and tidy, average condition.|Bathroom was very small for 4 people and we were only allowed one roll of toilet paper at a time which we had to collect from reception, along with any extra clean towels we required . I mean to say really !!!!|Reception staff were friendly and helpful but deff played by the rules.

Solo stay late July Nice upgrade as Accor Gold from Studio to 2BR Apartment Easy undercover secure parking at good rate. Nice staff throughout stay. washing machine, dryer, full kitchen with freestanding oven/cooktop. Comfy bed and at back so minimal street noise. Nice shower, spacious living room, high speed wifi. Walk everywhere through Adelaide city, Coles and Woolies nearby. Can't wait to stay again!!!!|A nice takeaway across the road aka lamb or chicken or pork yiros, but be prepared to wait as constantly packed for reasonably priced yiros!

Breakfree has just become my go-to for Adelaide. If you're a budget traveller using the airport, look no further. The location is great - bus stop for the J1 Airport bus just around the corner. My room had a microwave, washing machine and dryer - all greatly appreciated. It is walking distance to the CBD, and you could roll home from many a nearby watering hole, as I heard many people do on Halloween 2025, when Hindley Street was nothing less than batshit crazy!! If you're staying over a weekend and looking for quiet, request a room facing away from the action. Glad I brought my Loop earplugs!
