Absolutely breathtaking location. Nice, clean, updated hotel. Great service! All the staff was so nice and responsive. I would like to especially note the server - Javier. By far the best server I’ve ever experienced. Whether we were on the beach or at the restaurant the service, responsiveness, and friendliness of Javier has to be noted!!! We left so happy and satisfied, can’t say enough of good things!

We have been to Breathless Cabo 5-6 times and the location can’t be beat. I will say however that things have changed quite a bit since our last visit 2 years ago. The resort seems very short staffed as wait times for food orders was exceptionally long even when we were the only ones in the restaurant. One day we were told there was only one cook so it would be better to go to the buffet for breakfast instead or have to wait approx 45 min. The rooftop bar was not opened the entire 4 nights we were there and seems like all activity is now set up at the main lobby bar. Staff was great and they did their best. Bartenders were awesome and Williams was the BEST with our pool drink and food service. Oh, and there were no lore pool parties (dancers, foam etc) - the “party pool” is overall pretty chill and uneventful compared to the past. All in all, it’s a good resort but we will probably not be back simply because Cabo has so many all-inclusive options.

This hotel truly sets the standard for Globalist recognition. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely valued and welcomed. The service was exceptional, and every detail reflected their commitment to top-tier hospitality. I’ve stayed at many Hyatt properties, but the attention and care I received here stand out. I deeply appreciate the way they honor Globalist status—this is how loyalty should be rewarded. Thank you!

Food was amazing. Too good. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The vibe was great. Pretty location with nice clean room. Very happy with all the resort staff, pool servers, dining, etc. No it doesn't have a swim up bar but doesn't need it. The servers are all over it and fast. One thing to note that you can't see in the photos- the neighboring resorts are loud. The high energy music is ALWAYS on after 11:30/noon so this isn't going to be your "serene book-reading by the beach" spot. Cool part is you can hear and see sea lions very often. I highly suggest trying out the classes- we did a hike, yoga, and sound healing yoga. All fantastic for us and we have both regulars and newbies in the group.

Breathless Cabo absolutely lives up to its name—this adults-only resort is pure vacation goals. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with top-tier service, stylish surroundings, and an unbeatable marina view. The rooms are modern, sleek, and super comfortable (hello, rain shower and private balcony!). One of our favorite parts? Sitting on the balcony watching the boats come and go—and spotting sea lions lounging in the sun. So fun! The energy here is lively without being overwhelming—there’s always something happening, from poolside DJs to themed parties, but you can also find quiet corners to relax and recharge. The food is beautifully presented and plated, with a great variety of flavors and some seriously tasty cocktails to match. The location is unbeatable—steps from the marina, with walkable access to downtown Cabo nightlife, but still feels like a luxury escape. If you're looking for a mix of party, pampering, and gorgeous views, Breathless Cabo is the spot.

Google
Not a 5 star resort. Don’t expect decent food with any flavor or quality. Staff is lovely and attentive. However, that does not make up for the sparse rooms, run down buildings and terrible food quality. If you want to be in downtown Cabo, this could be for you. But, do not expect a resort experience. This property feels more like a cheap cruise stop.

Google
The service is excellent! Everyone’s very friendly and the drinks are made well. 9/10 for service. The rooms online make it seem more than what it is. The rooms could use some decor like, textured wallpaper/art on the wall. Bathroom has horrible lighting. I’ve been to better resorts 5/10 for the resort, I probably wouldn’t recommend.

UPDATE review on our stay at Breathless. Service has been exceptional since our hiccups on Day 1. The Concierge is outstanding and has checked in on us during our stay. Every staff member has been friendly so far; especially the dining staff and pool staff.||PROS|- Rooms are larger than many other resorts|- Great staff|- Views of the marina, downtown, and hills are incredible |- Close to the marina (parasailing, jet skiing, etc)|- Food is not as bad as some say. Really depends on what you order, but being an AI we’ve had worse|- Vibe is more chill and less partying which is what we prefer||CONS|- Marina can get loud during the day (but quiet at night)|- Some room service foods are too salty (but you can request less salty as well)|- There are two sides to the resort. So in order to go to the main restaurants and pool you have to walk out of one building (rooms) to the other. But not so bad|- We heard other guests getting the timeshare hassle, but for us it wasn’t the case||Overall, really good experience. The reasons for us to come here again would the location and service primarily. Food is okay but it’s close to downtown if you don’t mind spending money on better quality.

Yelp
This is my second trip to Breathless and is my favorite hotel. Not too fancy not too trashy. Pros: -All rooms face either the ocean or marina. The views from the room are gorgeous. -Walkable downtown marina area. -Staff is super friendly. Shout out to Carlos and Mariano. -Beds are comfy and room air conditioner works wonderfully. -Wink the lobby bar is the best bar. -Bites is the most consistent restaurant with better food. - DJ was great. The pool in the 2nd building is definitely for a younger crowd or people who don't like loud music. -Security is all around the building outside. Cons: -The sea lions are menaces. They can get loud at night. - Food was inconsistent at Kibeh - Timeshare sharks are annoying but just be firm with your no thanks and be on your merry way. -the two separate buildings can be confusing your first visit. This place is not perfect but honestly the most important things to me were not an issue. I do plan on coming back as we always encounter good people.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at Breathless on Oct 10-Oct 14, 2024 and I really would like to give more stars but unfortunately I can't. I don't like giving bad reviews but I feel the need to share so future travelers know what to expect. First, I want to say the staff was really nice and they worked really hard at their jobs. I truly appreciate the Breathless Team! My issues are with the resort not the team. The resort is mediocre at best, not worth the money at all. As soon as we arrived they try to upsell you on upgrades and timeshares (they call it something else but it's a timeshare). After a flight and 45 minutes drive to the resort, no one wants to be bothered with a sales pitch. We were on vacation and this is not what we were there for. When you decline their presentation, they seem upset and their attitude changes immediately. Don't fall for it!! By this time we were hungry, tired and just wanted to start our vacation. Finally, 2 hours after arrival we got a room! Room was average, nothing special. You will definitely hear the sea lions but it didn't bother me. The Marina is a bit nosy so if you are looking for a quiet resort, Breathless is not for you!! Party boats day and night! The food was HORRIBLE!!! Breakfast, lunch and dinner...all HORRIBLE!! We tired every restaurant in the resort and none is more than 2.5 stars. I wanted things to get better but every meal got worse so we had to eat outside of the resort which defeated the all- inclusive experience. The drinks were hit and miss depending on the bartender. The VIP lounge had the best drinks but you have to upgrade to go in there lol. The best part of the ENTIRE resort was the Spa!! I love every minute of that...now that was worth the upgrade!

Yelp
Wow, where do I begin? What a great place to stay, especially as a woman I felt super safe here we were in a group, but even at night I was able to walk around and not be worried. Cabo was a dream and it was awesome to be able to swim in the actual ocean I heard that this is one of the only beaches that you could swim safely in Cabo. We were right near the marina and honestly, I didn't hear a lot of noise in the morning but I'm also a pretty good sleeper. This is a very large resort. Definitely to get your steps in. Food was good with smaller portions since we were in a group we shared a lot of items. All the employees were friendly and service was incredible thank you breathless I hope to see you again. I am sober from alcohol, and I really enjoyed the coffee bar ! I went every morning and even afternoon and got so many different drinks and I just want to thank the people at the coffee bar making my vacation, I know it sounds so silly, but it really made a difference in my world.

Yelp
My 4th all-inclusive adults only in Cabo and sadly my least favorite by far. The staff was not accommodating, food choices were limited, and the staff seemed annoyed with any request. They tried hard on the up sale when we first arrived and were annoyed when I kept saying no. They wanted us to attend a meeting in the morning on our vacation, which was a hard no for us. From the servers at the pool who did not want to bring us the correct beer, and kept bringing us other brands, to them acting annoyed when you asked to see the menu. It was so odd for an all-inclusive. Even at the restaurants, they wanted to bring out what they suggested, instead of letting us pick what we wanted from the menu. I still don't understand it. Breakfast spots were out of potatoes and other items each morning. Room service never came when called. Wine by the bottle is not included but they didn't mention that before sneaking it in there. We had to dispute $150 in wine charges, even though we were at an all-inclusive. Hotel was loud and they didn't clean up dirty plates in the hallways or by the pool. You get my point- Stay somewhere else.

Yelp
As a first-time visitor to Cabo San Lucas, I was eager to experience the magic of this coastal paradise. My choice? The Breathless Cabo San Lucas and let me tell you--it exceeded all expectations!Nestled right by the marina, this adults-only resort offers the perfect blend of luxury and relaxation. My suite, what a treat! From my private balcony, I had unobstructed views of the marina and the vast ocean beyond. Being a savvy traveler, I used my Hyatt points to cover my entire stay. It felt like a win-win--I got to enjoy the luxurious amenities of Breathless while maximizing my loyalty rewards. The hotel's location couldn't have been better. I strolled along the boardwalk, exploring charming mini shops and savoring street tacos. The proximity to restaurants meant that I could sample local cuisine without venturing too far. If you're seeking a blend of sophistication, relaxation, and culinary delights, look no further than Breathless Cabo San Lucas.

Yelp
Great hotel and even greater staff! When we arrived we met Alejandro. He was super helpful and very friendly. He made our stay perfect! The hotel is a good size. They have many restaurants to choose from. Hotel rooms are nice, you get a great view of the marina. Staff is very friendly. At the xhale club lounge we met Luis which was great! He made delicious drinks and was very friendly! The staff at Ocote were also very amazing! They cooked fish that we caught spear fishing. Some of the best tasting fish we had! Also the room upgrade is definitely worth it! I highly recommend this resort!

Yelp
My husband and I went here for our second wedding anniversary/honeymoon! Things we loved: it's all-inclusive, so I loved having access to unlimited food and drinks. We were not part of the XL membership and genuinely don't feel we missed out much. We met some friends there who had signed up for XL, and really, the only difference is the check-in and the top-shelf liquor in your room. Again, I don't feel like I missed out on much because I wasn't really in my room for most of my trip. The resort is in a perfect spot in the Cabo San Lucas area. It's pretty much within walking distance from the downtown area, with lots of restaurants on the pier and souvenir shops; it has a perfect view from the second building of the ocean. I loved the private Sand Beach. The beach itself is public, but they have an area just for Breathless members so you can sit back and enjoy the sun in the sand. They always had daily activities for people to try, like painting, workout sessions, beach volleyball, and more! If you're looking to stay at the resort only and not go outside to any restaurants or excursions, the resort has a lot to do to keep its guests busy and happy, so I think it's entirely possible to stay there if you really want to. It's also adults only, so that is another positive. My husband and I tried every restaurant except one, the Spumonte. If I go back, I want to try it because the food looks really good there. Many people raved about the Ocote restaurant, but my husband and I weren't big fans. The worst dish we had was at that restaurant, but it just wasn't as mind-blowing as everybody made it seem. I visited the bites restaurant the most. Their breakfast items are delicious. I think I tried something different every single day. I was in heaven. The service was terrific. Everybody was so lovely. Also, if this is your first time, I recommend bringing money to tip the servers and service staff as a nice gesture. If you're from the US, we just brought a few ones and tipped each time we were helped. Also, most of the staff speaks primarily Spanish, but for the most part, as long as you're not asking anything too tricky or detailed, they understand what you're saying. My husband and I spoke Spanish, so we had no issues. One thing that I didn't realize, or maybe I forgot, is that this resort is divided into two different buildings. The spa, gym, and second pool with the DJ are in the back building. There's also a second-party rooftop (they play every other night). We weren't really given a map or instructions when we checked in, so we kind of figured all of that out on our own. Our room was nice. We had a view of the pier and the boats. In the morning, the boats are a little loud, and the businesses that run those boats are not entirely quiet. Also, I had to use a hair clip to keep the curtains together because too much light was coming into the room, even with the black curtains. I loved the view, though, and at night, it was really pretty. Another review said it was the team's version of Greece, but I think it's so much more than that! Cabo is a truly pretty area. All in all, I don't think I had a bad experience at all. The food and drinks were really good, and it's definitely a relaxing spot for anyone looking to celebrate birthdays, honeymoons, anniversaries, girls' trips, etc. They set up a cute honeymoon tag on our front door, and I thought that was so thoughtful. When we walked into our room, we had complementary wine and cake! I would definitely come back and recommend this resort!

Yelp
Breathless is an all inclusive adults only resort that is in the middle of both the beach front and the marina with walking distance to the downtown boardwalk. We paid extra for the upgrade of the Xhale room /Lounge . Personally I don't feel it was worth the money so you can skip it if you can save the cost. You do have special access to the Xhale lounge with a more private bar and sushi bar from 4 to 6pm but the sushi was not very good. The rooms all have amazing views of the beautiful marina. Our room was not really updated with the hallways currently under construction. The night time entertainment was really good with a roof top club / DJ, some nights fire dancers, and always afternoon events at their party pool. There are two infinity pools. One is more intimate and quiet the other has lots of upbeat music and events. There is also beach access with lounge chairs and a shower to rise off. They have free paddle boarding rentals from the hotel. The hotel is walking distance to the downtown marina with lots of bars, store fronts and restaurants. Be prepared for all the hagglers trying to sell you trinkets, excursions and what not. It's part of the experience. The restaurants at the resort were really hit or miss depending on who was in the kitchen that evening. We were very lucky to attend a cook out where they had fresh street tacos, a chef who was grilling meats and lots of hot sides. If you can, I was told by many other guest and also experienced skipping the Italian restaurant because the food was horrible. It was overcooked, over salted and poorly prepared. The seafood restaurant and Bites were my favorite! They have a coffee bar / barista in the morning to afternoon. They make drinks from coffee, lattes, frapps, protein shakes, and smoother with pastries and min desserts. They have a 24 hour bar for alcholic drinks. The service through out the resort was excellent as all the staff are super friendly and nice. You can always go to the front counter to ask for change in US dollars if you want to tip. We didn't bring any pasos and we're fine. Everywhere in this area accepts US dollars, except they give you change in pasos. I really enjoyed the convenience of the room service. Ask for fresh fruit and their fresh squeeze orange juice in the morning. The daily house keeping did a poor job. Half the time we had fresh towels. The other half of the time they forgot to refill our fridge with water and the coffee maker with new pods. We even called house keeping which they assured us was going to happen, but didn't. If you do their 90 minute spew during breakfast for their time share like event, they hook you up with ameitites / excursions. We got $250 spa and $250 excursion credits. So bargain away with something you really want to do! The spa was beautiful and amazing. I got a 80 min deep tissue massage and it was so good. They also have a hot tub, a steam room and sauna which you can access without purchasing a spa treatment. You do have to request it. Overall, the resort has an amazing location, despite the rooms and hotel hallways looking scuzzy, the staff were all very friendly and kind, the restaurants very hit or miss, the night time entertainment was fun, the pools / pool parties entertaining, the beach access is great, and walking to downtown cabo so very convenient!

Yelp
NEVER STAY AT THIS RESORT. BUYER BEWARE. I came here for a vacation but got trapped in a 3.5 hour presentation and they wouldn't let me leave- and no, that wasn't an incentive for the vacation. It all happened after check in. I travel 8+ times per year and have never had a more frustrating experience. Clear mishaps and they have no desire to fix anything. Everything is someone else's fault. Upon check-in, I was told that we have purchased the basic package. I showed them the reservation that I purchased through Southwest vacations that specifically read: * Unlimited international and domestic top-shelf spirits I emailed them the reservation and they said they would call us later. We had to wait until 3 PM to check into our room. No one called so I called back around 6 PM and they said they would let me know and call back. Around 8 PM I went down to the front desk and asked again That it is not included even though my reservation says it is. While the receptionist was kind and professional, she indicated after checking with her manager that it does not include top shelf at a certain bar even though our reservation indicates otherwise. At check-in, they told us to go downstairs with someone who would tell us more about the resort. Instead, he had a sign up for what he said was a one to 1 1/2 hour presentation, not about timeshares because there's no maintenance fees. Anyhow, it ended up being 3 1/2 hours long the next day And we did not receive the perks promise because they were not available. They would not let us leave during the presentation and kept making excuses to keep us there, asking us to wait and then coming back lowering the price by tens of thousands of dollars. What a scam. Lesson learned- do not be lured in by these types of tricks. If you are, make sure you get the benefit up front and tell them at exactly 90 minutes you have to leave. And if you are, they offer several free days at certain hotels just to watch the presentation.

Yelp
I love this place, and so does my fiancé. Thank you to Manuel, Vianey, JC, Steph, Nelly, Brenda, and Jessi... And YAMILL especially too. These are the people who make this place worth coming back to trust me my fiancé and I will be coming back here. We are working on planning our wedding here for the future. We don't know when it will be, but we definitely know it will be here. The food drinks staff rooms service, and every single element of our stay has been incredible. I have no idea why there are bad reviews of this place. Everything is perfect. Es PHENOMENAL. Especially if you are coming here from the US, it is very good value for your money. I stay in resorts in the United States for much more money and it is less service. The service here is insanely good. Especially if you want to do activities on the beach or at the pool, these are your people to go to Breathless Cabo . They attended to her every need and our anniversary was well celebrated especially with decorations in the room and desserts and champagne. The fire show was amazing as well as the server ISAAC at OCHOTE.. Incredible. Right now, I will tell you that this place is safe, fun, and worth your money and time. This is my second time here I went with my friends the first time and the second time I am now here with my fiancé/husband to be. Everyone I mentioned will make her stay incredible so make sure to directly ask for them.

Yelp
My entire family stayed at breathless resort Cabo San Lucas for me and my sister's birthday. We love the breathless franchise we've stayed at a bunch of their different resorts across the world and I would say that the food here was the most disappointing part of the resort. The restaurants are located on a lower level in a building that is detached from the breathless resort which makes it quite difficult to navigate. As you're walking from the main resort building to the restaurant and pool building there are outside hagglers trying to sell you things that aren't appropriate. All in all we had a wonderful time once we got the lay of the land. The concierge on Night Shift surprised me with a bottle of champagne and firework sound effects for my birthday which was such an amazing thing for them to do. The service was impeccable and the concierge help my boyfriend design my room with thousands of rose petals and a huge bouquet. There were folks in our party that did not have the XL package and they still were able to partake in everything that the XL package part took in so I would say don't waste the extra money for the XL package you get the same experience with the exception of one lounge that has premium booze. It is inconvenient that they don't offer premium booze throughout the entire resort you just have to go to that one lounge.

Yelp
The place is a solid 3.75. The good: the views are nice, it's like the Shein/Temu version of Positano; prime location for boat activities; downtown area; for nightlife. We even got a mini firework show because of the location and it was so pretty. The hotel rooms inside and the common areas are not in bad shape but the hallways and doors to rooms are old af. The hotel sets up daily activities for guests to enjoy. My favorite was painting overlooking the ocean. Every employee we encountered was bilingual. Is their English perfect? No, but come one now, you're in another country. The cons: The hotel is a total of 2 buildings. The first building has the check in/lobby area when you arrive. Then you take an elevator for rooms access, cafe, small bar, quiet pool, one restaurant. So having to keep walking to the other building where they have more restaurant options and the louder pool gets annoying. There's a few restaurants but the meal options are so limited. There's only one buffet and not much. Also, like other review mentions the toilet paper is scented. So odd. Lastly, the typical timeshare sharks always lurking. Got rid of them being very assertive but their ego was severely damaged. PS for any boat activity it was easier and way cheaper to book online to be prepared and avoid all the marina sharks trying to sell.

Yelp
I've been to Cabo about 6-7 times now and stayed in both downtown and further away at secluded resorts. I'm surprised by some of the reviews for Breathless Resort on yelp. I thought it was a great little resort if you want to stay in downtown Cabo at a reasonable rate, that is adults only & all inclusive (you enjoy eating/drinking). Here are a few key points: 1) If you're a picky eater, you shouldn't choose an all inclusive resort. 2) This hotel is geared towards outgoing people who like to party. There's a pool party at the resort hotel with loud music blasting & heavy drinking. It's also an easy 15 minute walk to all the popular bars/clubs. 3) If you don't drink alcohol, don't bother - you won't get your money's worth. 4 If you are a light sleeper, stay outside of downtown. There is a lot going on within the marina but the seals/sea lions are barking all day/night - it's very loud and annoying. 5) Downtown Cabo is old, if you prefer something newer, you should look outside of downtown and find one of the newer resorts. I enjoyed my stay here. I love to drink. I know how to set my expectation for food at an all inclusive considering the price range. If I'm paying thousands a night, I'd expect the food to be fabulous but I was completely fine with the food/service...as a foodie, I can figure my way around the buffet and various menu's. Bites was by far the best for lunch/dinner. I really enjoyed many of their dishes, especially the ones with their fried shrimp (tacos, po' boy). In the evening they have a few options for sushi - totally acceptable. The rolls were fine and the raw fish was decent quality. Don't compare it to the sushi restaurant in the states. Spoons (buffet) is the best option for breakfast. I saw all the guests ordering the omelette which I thought was a crazy thing to do in Mexico. Their chilaquile was legit & made to order (request both red/green sauce). Fish Net was my favorite restaurant with the best view. If I were to do it over, I'd dine here every night. We had the steak with chimichurri sauce & the paella was delicious as well. Spumante (Italian restaurant) was mediocre and I'd skip it. The hotel has 2 buildings and 2 pools - their pool scene isn't anything spectacular compared to other resorts in Cabo. I stayed in the building with the lobby/front desk - it's the quieter building with the quiet pool.. The pool party is in the other building and most of the restaurants are in the other building. It's a bit of a walk but with all the eating/drinking we can all use the extra step count. The lobby bar was my favorite - they had live music the nights we were there. A few bartenders were legit and a few were awful - remember the good ones, it makes a huge difference as there isn't consistency. Their Miami Vice was a tasty drink to have pool side (but each time it tasted different). At night, I asked one of the bartenders to make a pear martini and it was good enough to be served in a trendy restaurant in LA. Rooms are old but clean and had a beautiful view of the marina. I had a few issues with the stocking of fridge (awful beer!) and the room service can be slow. The beds were comfortable. All in all, I'd totally recommend this resort to people who are low maintenance, love to party & want to be in the center of everything. I enjoyed the drinks, food and the overall quaint ambiance of the small resort.

Yelp
wish it was better.... to start, the staff and servers were awesome. we are globalists with Hyatt, and when I booked I also used a suite upgrade award. I think we had the best room they offer. corner room with a huge balcony complete with cactus surrounding a big tub, tub turned out to be useless because we could never get HOT water anywhere in room .tub inside also would only get warm, showers were the same. had to run sink and shower water for 45 mins to get a slightly warmer shower to clean soap off body. they have signs in bathroom to conserve...... cant imagine how much water was wasted over 5 days. 2 doors down was having same issues. both tubs looked great but were useless. on to the food... very hit or miss. I think who ever procures the meats here is buying the cheapest available. I think the folks cooking are doing their best with what they are given. they have to salt the heck out of it, but still wont be tender. others we spoke to also swelled up hands and feet. I had to take my wedding ring off while I could. we were lucky they did not even ask about the vacation presentation, highly suggest you just say NO. I will say the place is clean. bring tip money for the bar tenders and house keeping and those who go above and beyond. would we come back here ???? hell NO !!

Hubby and I stayed at Breathless for 5 nights over Thanksgiving with another couple. Great location overlooking the marina. If you are a light sleeper, you may not like the sea lion alarm clock. But I had no problem at all because I slept well in their comfortable bed every night.  They decorated and had welcome desserts ready to celebrate our 20th anniversary and also hubby's birthday month. It's just a few mins walk and you are in the downtown shopping and eating area.    Pros -Everyone is friendly and hard working at Breathless. Big kudos to everyone! Definitely bring small bills for tips. We had the best meal at Fish Nets - order those octopus tacos! Quesadilla and soft tacos were delicious at Bites. Green drinks, waffles, and pancakes during breakfast at Spoons. Good drinks all around, especially at Xhale lounge bar. Daily caffeine dose at The Nook Cafe. We ordered room service a couple times for early breakfast, the PB&J with bananas was delicious! Didn't get a chance to use the gym, but we did a couple runs around the marina in the morning. Took a water spin class, it was a hoot! We made use of the spa 2x.  If you get a massage in the PM, you may be required to wear headphones as the spa is right next to the noisy party pool. They need to upgrade the headphones to noise canceling ones. But otherwise, the massage was wonderful. Thanksgiving pavo dinner was delicious. Stephanie and Perla did a great job guiding our hike to Cerro de la Z. Alexis with amazing service at Bites by the pool. Hilda tried her very best to get us on the whale shark tour, but we were just too early by a couple days.   My only con - We thought Rafael was VERY pushy.  We were pressured into attending a presentation for UVC trying to get you to spend a lot of money to become a member of their travel club. It took 2-3 times as long as he said it would and we were getting upset by the end.  It was a very unenjoyable experience. He also went ahead and put down a deposit for our party of 4 for a sunset cruise when we had never confirmed it. I'm not a big fan of cruises in general but we felt pressured and obligated to go.  Again, the cruise was not enjoyable because I got really sea sick.   There was no hot water the morning of check out, and I wish there are towel racks in the bathroom. I used Hyatt points to stay here, would recommend staying here for the location and the beautiful marina.

Yelp
I had a time at Breathless Cabo San Lucas!!!! One of the most important highlights is the customer service of every employee within this facility. Not once did I feel like I was bothering anyone because they were all so pleasant and accommodating. Yes, I know it's their job but they were all so intentional with ensuring we had a great experience. The ambiance and drinks were flowing all day and night. Good

Yelp
My husband and I went to Breathless for our anniversary. The rooms were nice and all areas were constantly being cleaned. The hotel always smelled clean. Bathrooms and beds were cleaned daily. Hotel staff is all very friendly and make you feel welcomed and not like a nuisance. There is a lot of vendors who pressure you to buy a vacationing package which is pretty sweet, but expensive. You can chose to give them your time and attention for some coupons or free activities or you can simply reject the presentation they want to share with you and continue on with your vacation. The hotel does offer a lot of activities, so be aware of them and take advantage. The guide for paddle boarding and snorkeling was awesome. Take advantage of his knowledge and patience and go snorkeling or paddle boarding with him. It was amazing. Also, there's an "entertainment" booth that helps you organize your activities while you're in Cabo. Take advantage of their help with setting you up with tours and activities. The restaurant's are ok. I think the best one was Bites. The food options are minimal but most of the options were tasty. Three of the restaurants by the beach are very picky with your attire, so for the men- take some "nicer" sandals to enter these restaurants. At Bites, Jesus (waiter) was very attentive, always made sure we had everything we needed. There is a mall and grocery store (Chedraui- which is inside the mall) right off the marina. Maybe like 5-10 min walk from the hotel. There's also a Walmart nearby the mall. Sea lions do bark a lot like around 3-6 am, but they didn't bother us at all. The first night they woke us up quite a bit but after that night, we didn't wake up bc of the sea lions. There is A TON of partying on the side of the hotel that is by the beach. Music is loud and they are basically clubbing around 12pm-6pm. The side of the hotel were the rooms are is much quieter and calmer. We spent most of our time on this side, and walked over to the other side for breakfast and to go to the beach. It is quite a bit of walking to and from the different sites of the hotel. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant time.

Yelp
Gorgeous resort. Terrific service. Loved the yoga class by the spa. The gym was convenient. But the food cost cutting was disappointing. The sushi was essentially a ball of rice with truly only a pearl-sized amount of seafood inside. And we tried it multiple nights. Chicken Chilaquiles was surprisingly a bunch of sliced tortillas with sauce (served like pasta!) and little to no chicken. Upon check-in, my friend and I were forced to listen to a 15 minute spiel from a salesperson who works off of commission. For goodness sake, we had just landed in Cabo, tired and hungry. From check-in, they followed us to dinner at Bites and kept talking. We were polite, thinking it would last only 5 minutes, but it seemed more like 15. They spoke about discounts if we attended a timeshare presentation for sister properties. It is the very last thing we wanted to do after a long flight. Just leave us alone, for Pete's sake! It's my first time staying at an all-inclusive resort, so maybe they are all like this, but I expected better food from a 4.5 to 5 star resort. Not much to do in downtown Cabo aside from eating/drinking, so I recommend avoiding all-inclusives (or not paying much for it). Spumante seemed to serve the best food of all the options on the resort (we didn't try Ocote). My friend and I also got food poisoning on separate nights: Me from the ceviche, her from either some shrimp ceviche or possibly a pina colada or lobster ravioli. So we didn't get to try the free water activities, like paddleboarding or snorkeling (which are offered only on certain days). I recommend downloading the AMR app so you can view their activities and menus in advance. Tips: Proctored COVID tests (mandatory for flights back into the US) are $35. Must be scheduled in advance. Can be done via the app after you check in, or with Concierge. Also, the ATMs here and at SJD airport only dispense USD, not pesos. But on this resort, USD is fine or you can use your credit card -- if you need to pay for anything at all.

Yelp
Depending on what you're looking for, I think Breathless can be more of a party hotel than a quiet relaxing getaway. My husband and I went to Cabo for the first time this summer. We were looking for a warm getaway to relax and celebrate our 10-year anniversary in a new spot. The Breathless Hotel itself is beautiful, adults-only and all-inclusive. My husband loved the layout of our room and the view facing the marina. The ONLY thing I really didn't enjoy was the noise coming from the marina itself. Don't think about sleeping in, on some days, as early as 8-8:30am the tour boats start playing loud music, sword fighting, and at least 1-2 ships blew their horns around 9am on their way out of the marina. It got quiet again,b but then the 12p and 6p tour does the same thing with the added bonus of playing the song "Shot! Shot! Shots!" while passing out tequila to their guests. I think the marina eventually quiets down around 6:30-7p just in time to enjoy the sunset. (BTW-I believe ALL the rooms face the marina. So you're out of luck if you want to avoid it.) Also there are 2 pools, one that's much quieter than the other, which is a nice option for some guests. The more popular pool near the ocean blasts party music until 6p'sh. So if you're looking for a spring-break type atmosphere and then that's your best bet. My husband and I felt like the cocktails were 100% watered down at the party pool, which is why I'm not a big fan of "all-inclusive" resorts, it's their M.O. One day, I had 4 Aperol Spritz and a frozen mango margarita and I didn't feel a thing. (I'm usually buzzed after the 2nd drink.) I eventually switched to whiskey on the rocks, which was still clearly watered down, but I eventually got my buzz. So maybe ask for a shot on the side and then add it to your drink yourself. Other than your room and probably the spa, there's not many quiet spots in the hotel. They do have one of the few swimmable beaches in Cabo, which I loved. But if you're looking to get some zen on the beach and listen to the waves crashing in then you're out of luck. The neighboring venue blasts music all day long and into the night too. It didn't really bother me too much, but it all depends on what you're looking for. As for the food, overall it was good. The morning buffet was disappointing and limited, BUT all the other restaurants within the hotel exceeded our expectations and we revisited them several times during our stay. Just steps away is the beginning of "town" which surrounds the marina. It's a great location to be, but be prepared to be hounded by countless street vendors along the way selling everything from hats to jewelry to water tours. Also, stock up on sunblock before you get there as their prices are 2x-3x their American USD value. Final thoughts. The marina noise did become an irritant and drove me a little crazy to be honest. I was coming into this vacation thinking it was going to be a relaxing getaway, BUT I soon got into the party groove. Everyday, we had a choice whether to chill by the quiet pool or spend our day at the part pool and we chose the party pool every single time. It wasn't what I was expecting, but we had a great time with each other none-the-less.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel the first week of may 2024. In late June I noticed that the hotel reception was making micro charges to my AMEX. Someone at the reception is making fraudulent charges so please be careful with using credit cards. Clearly I put a dispute in as fraud with Amex. Will never go back.

Yelp
I had an incredible hot stone massage here - actually one of the best massages of my life! #ThankYou I'll be brief. The food here is awful. I got Montezuma's revenge on day 2 at Breathless. You stay at a resort in Mexico to avoid getting sick. I know it was from Breathless because it was the only place we ate. Once I was feeling well I was afraid to eat or drink here. We moved to another resort in Los Cabos. The pools did have beautiful views of the marina.

Yelp
Breathless is probably one of the best all inclusive resorts I have stayed in Cabo. We recently went to Sandos and it blew Sandos away! The food and drinks were way better at Breathless. The rooms are much more updated compared to Sandos and have a better view of the marina. There was turn down service every night, and the staff would constantly clean/mop the common areas which was appreciated. The restaurants were decent for an all inclusive resort, but service was slow which is typical for resorts like this. The staff was very friendly. Breathless is a smaller resort but the overall vibe of the resort is fun! Always activities to do and it is definitely catered towards adult entertainment. The only downside was they were doing construction at one of the pools and it was very annoying - but I am glad they are putting work into the place and it is being updated. I absolutely recommend Breathless for anyone looking to stay at an all inclusive resort in Cabo!

Yelp
We are having an amazingly relaxing time here. The Breathless Resort is unique in that the location is at the intersection of Sea of Cortez and the marina (and near the Pacific ocean). When you look out from the infinity pool area you have the ocean view on one side seeing the beautiful rock and the marina view at the same time on the other side. This magnificent view is further magnified from one level up at the spa/spa jacuzzi (a separate service but included with the Xhale upgrade). This resort has Medano beach access where you are privileged to walk right up onto a clean beach witnessing shades of beautiful blues and clear water washing up to your feet. One of the very few spots in Los Cabos where swimming in the ocean is allowed due to safety. My SO would not trade that for anything. There is a calm and beautiful feel looking out which is outstanding. The service from the Breathless staff has been nothing short of exceptional. There was one strange incident with the safe in the room, fortunately nothing was missing. Overall the folks are attentive whenever you need them. By the time you leave you feel like you are leaving friends. Shout out to Christopher from the club lounge who helped make our trip seamless. Many others stood out as well including the beach activity instructor (he also holds pool cycling classes, teaches Spanish and hosts the tequila tasting), and Francisco from the Ocote restaurant who went above and beyond. Some servers remembered our names and greeted us as we walked by the next day. The Breathless offers a daily cleaning service plus an evening courtesy turn down service unless you leave the sign on the door to decline this additional service. Room service is prompt. There are sanitizing stations all throughout the hotel with unscented disinfectant and one in your room. All staff wear masks. Your temperature is taken upon entering the resort to check in. The resort makes the covid test requirement getting back into the US a breeze. We made an appointment they were able to take us earlier than the appointment time. It took all of 5 minutes right on the comfortable resort premise it was so convenient. The resort is situated right on the marina, you literally step out and start walking along side it which is awesome. No need to call a car to get to the shops. On the other side of the same token, since there are many tour boats on the marina, you hear all the music from the boats as all rooms in the resort face the marina. You hear the sounds of seal-calls in some months into early morning. Definitely bring ear plugs because it is always a big party. Since your vacation time is valuable, know when to say no thank you and walk away when someone tries to upsell you. This starts from the airport to the hotel and to the vendors outside. In Cabo the weather has been amazing even in January. Even when the forecast shows cloudy it always turned up sunny after a couple of hours while we were there. So sit along side either of the infinity pools in this all inclusive and wait for the drinks and food to come to you! If you are a hard core drinker you may need to specify the number of shots in your margarita. Remember to keep the immagration slip from customs because you need it to leave the country. If you lose it it is $32 USD to replace it.

Yelp
We absolutely loved Breathless mainly because of the staff and the location! This all-inclusive resort is perfectly located next to downtown Cabo San Lucas. You are literally a 5-10 minute walk from downtown. The beauty of the marina, the resort, the beach overlooking The Arch are all amazing! I was able to get so many amazing pictures of the resort, marina, and beach from this location. The resort itself is very clean. Rooms are minimalistic. The bathrooms are set up with the shower on one side and the toilet on the other side of the bathroom which is convenient. All of the rooms have a balcony that face the marina. There are six restaurants to choose from at this resort (all are included except for one restaurant). They have a variety of restaurants to choose from (Italian one being our fave). The resort itself is three buildings. The first building has Bites restaurant which is 24hrs. The bar and coffee shop next to Bites are also 24hrs. The infinity pool overlooking the marina is also right there outside of Bites. The second building has meeting rooms and the Xhale Club lounge (for guests that book an Xhale suite). The Xhale lounge has its own bar and lounge area. The third building has the main infinity pool where the DJ plays music every day. The third building is also where they have Spoons, three other restaurants, and access to the beach. The pool service is great as there are plenty of attentive staff ready to take your drink or food orders and deliver them to you poolside. There are plenty of activities set up each day for guests to enjoy (hiking, yoga, spanish lessons, aqua aerobics, tequila tastings, and late night entertainment). We did all the activities there except for the daily spanish lessons. So many wonderful people work there. Trinidad, Kevin, Miguel, Camilo, and of course Nely all stood out and went out of their way to serve us! The food is good but don't expect to be eating at a James Beard-award winning restaurant or Michelin restaurant. The servings are small but of course you can order as much as you want. I would also recommend booking any excursions or travel to/from airport directly through the Breathless staff (little cheaper booking through them). You do hear the sea lions all night on the marina but what do you want the staff to do? The guests that complain about that just need to stop complaining. There are much bigger issues in this world than loud noises at night from sea lions. I can't wait to go back to Cabo and to stay again at Breathless! Truly had an amazing time there with my brother and sister!

Yelp
The hotel itself and staff are amazing. The only downside was the food, most of it wasn't enjoyable but the service at all the restaurants was great. Drinks were also very good and all the activities were fun as well. Would most likely stay here again especially because of the area and view I just wish the food was better.

Yelp
Hello readers , this was my first trip to Cabo and we started at Breathless for 6 nights. I'll break down my experience by parts. Room Pros: great view , comfortable bed , clean , well designed. Room Cons: shower only has an overhead shower head with poor water pressure, toilet paper is scented and chemicals are not good for your privates , refrigerator for the drinks is not cold - it barely keeps items cool Service Pros : lovely people, respectful , and overall great staff. Food - overall the food is bad but there are a few options that were doable: Room Service food Pros - salmon was good, chicken wings pretty good but there is barely and vegetables and the ones they give you are not fresh, chillaquiles good. Room Service Food Cons: (1) Chicken Soup - nothing but salt, if you have high blood pressure just rub away (2) Pizza's - over cheeses, bad dough, and looks like it was premade hot pocket that's made of plastic (3) seafood pasta - could have been great but had so much salt it wasn't edible ml (4) breakfast sausage if ordered at the room is terrible , you're eating this moosh with grease - super bad! , not enough potatoes like a droplet gathered from the kitchen , orange juice is nothing but sugar, they gave me beans that had no beans in it just the sauce Bites Restaurant Pros - (1) Alfredo pasta with shrimp good , (2) fish tacos was good but not enough so you need at least 3 portions (3) steak burrito good but not really a burrito it's a quesadilla (4) guacamole always something not fresh in there The Nook : No desert is good, tastes aweful. Overall anywhere you order something sweet is either not fresh and just tastes really bad (1) good coffee at the nook Downstairs restaurants( kibbeh, Fish Net, Italian) . Just don't eat there. Just don't do it! You can have decent breakfast at the spoon - we ate there every day until one day we decided for room service breakfast which was a regret Lastly, DONT DO THE AFFILIATE MARKETING - RIP OFF . Chefs should be retrained, service staff absolutely lovely . If you are willing to come to breathless strictly for the rooms, it's worth it. Eat at Solomon's landing , also tried the El Peregrino - fresh food , taste good but they screw you on what they say they are giving you. I ordered bbq ribs and got two ribs and the rest was pork chop meat lol. My husband ordered a rib eye and received like a New York steak but price was good.

Yelp
We spent a weeks vacation here, beautiful marina view and a bonus beach access. The resort it self is nice but the employees are out standing, everyone from wait staff, bartenders housekeeping just went above and beyond. You always have a few favorites Yolanda pool side services was impeccable. Erby and staff at wink bar were like hanging out with your friends, attentive, kind and just great people. There were so many that made our trip amazing. Close enough you could wander around the marina lots to do or take a ride downtown, we chose to hang around the resort-2 pools, 5 full restaurants, throw in a few bars and you have a fabulous time.

Yelp
Stay away from Unlimited Vacation Club! We went there for a "presentation" for their vacation club. We met with Clint and Rick. What a complete waste of our time. After all was said and done, and we didn't buy, we were rudely escorted out by Paola. She was rude and literally escorted us out the back and said if we wanted to claim our free gift, we would have to walk to the marina. She said it would only take 10 minutes. On Waze, it was an 18-20 min walk and we would never have made it to the boat ride. So we called our taxi ride/host and he informed us that she cancelled our transportation back to our hotel without telling us. If this is how they treated us, I can only imagine how we would be treated if we bought! Total waste of our time! Don't fall for their trap!

Yelp
The good thing about this place is it's walking distance from downtown and sits on the marina. Now the bad the service is awful I sat at one of the bar lounges for a hour and was and was not once offered a beverage The rooms are dated and cold in looks and the place is filthy. the whole layout is just weird how you get around going from one building and through another building upstairs down long hallways. I've never seen anything like it. I would not recommend this place it is a complete disaster take your money and go elsewhere.

Yelp
Don't waste your money on the day pass!!! $180.00 USD, breakfast buffet was good, but lunch is mediocre order off the small menu of basic food that could be cooked by a 4yo. Chicken wings are RAW, stuffers pizza would be better. WASTE WASTE WASTE!!!!

Yelp
My husband and I hosted our wedding week at Breathless Cabo San Lucas from August 7, 2023 - August 12, 2023. We used a third party vendor Blue Sun Vacations that also does business with Go Go Travel. We had a total guest count of 42 people excluding ourselves. Our stay at Breathless was problematic, riddled with disheartening moments and caused an extreme amount of stress on what should have been the happiest event of our lives. We were told that we would have separate group check in as we were a large party, that did not happen. The front desk had to be told who we were, what we were there for and what the check in process should be by my husband and myself to get the ball rolling. They blankly stared at us as if they were unaware of our arrival. The confusion and lack of critical thinking skills on the front desk's behalf was the first of many incidents. I, as the bride, had to separate my guests and lead them to the correct check in points based upon my own guest spreadsheet I created prior to arrival to calm anxiety and chaos. Once we were checked in my husband quickly realized through several calls from our guests that the baggage collection during check in was done incorrectly and our guests were not getting their luggage in a timely manner. My husband had to go downstairs and sort through luggage and direct the bell boys to take the names of each guest as they arrived and put it on the luggage so that it could be easily identified. As we came in as a large group we let that issue go and moved forward. My sister booked and paid for a stay from August 7th-August 11th but due to a work issue could not come into Cabo until August 9th, the morning of our wedding. The resort was not able to accommodate an extension of their stay on the back end so she took the loss in money after days of back and forth emails. When she and her wife arrived on the property they told her due to a resort in house error her room was not ready. This was 1 hour prior to my wedding starting! It appears to us that the resort booked their room that they paid for for the days they knew they were not going to be there to another guest to double up on their money and the other guests had not yet left! As the bride I had to cut my bridal getting ready photo shoot short, come down to the lobby in my bridal pajamas and be extremely assertive to get a manager to fix the issue. My sister was not given any accommodation for her trouble just an "I'm sorry"! I am of Afro Latino descent (my self and my family are of a darker complexion) and my husband is African American. One night during our stay my husbands family was in the Xhale lounge after our welcome dinner event, as was my brother. The bartender behind the bar began to speak disrespectfully about my husbands family in Spanish to her colleagues not knowing my brother speaks fluent Spanish and was a part of the wedding party. Once my brother addressed the bartender back in Spanish she saw fit to kick my brother and my husbands family out under the guise that they were "too loud". Clearly a racial, cultural and language difference made her believe they "probably should not be in here anyway" and needed to be removed. A room was given to my husband as a courtesy to use as the setting for his groom getting ready photo shoot. The photographer wanted to have a portion of the video and photos where the groomsmen toasted with a round of shots. There were a total of 10 people. They called down to room service and asked for the 10 shots and they were told no because that was not resort policy. Only a total of 4 shots allowed. My husband explained the reason for the request and asked could there be an accommodation made. He was told no and was hung up on. While we understand resort policy we believe that accommodations need to be made and put into place for an occasion as special as a wedding. If you offer these services you need to be prepared to deal with what comes with them. Our daughters stay was booked, paid for and confirmed from August 7th-August 12th. On August 11th she was locked out of her room. My husband and I were off the resort taking some alone time and had to come back to handle the issue because our 19 year old was not being listened to by the resort staff. When my husband and I inquired about it at the front desk they insisted her stay was over. I made them call a manager and pulled up the email documentation. Once the manager confirmed I was correct instead of an apology I was told by Nadia, "Well your guests had too many changes so this is what happens". My mother and another of our guest were locked out a day before their stay ended as well. To top off our stay, 6 of my guests and myself all have been diagnosed with food poisoning! We've all communicated and have narrowed it down to the fish tacos each of us ate while at the "party pool". The entire wedding staff at this location was absolutely amazing from first to last interaction!

Yelp
I did not want to result to writing a review so negatively about Breathless Cabo but the grace period I have given them and the outcome is very distasteful. Let be first start by saying the resort has a great location and very close to some amazing beaches. The food they offer for an all inclusive resort is amazing. But I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with the experience my family and I had during our recent stay at the resort. Given the high expectations we had for such a significant event, the series of issues we encountered were deeply disheartening and far below the standards advertised. Firstly, the setup for my wedding was significantly delayed. Despite my clear instructions and the agreed-upon schedule, the setup was not ready at the promised time. This caused considerable inconvenience and disruption, affecting the overall success of my wedding. The wedding was supposed to start at 6:00pm and at 6:15 pm they were still hanging up lights and flowers. Why would anyone still be setting up while guests are arriving. My family started to help to speed up the process. This caused undue stress and anxiety on what was supposed to be a joyous and seamless event. The delay disrupted our schedule , affected our guests' experience , and undermined the meticulous planning we had undertaken for months leading up to our special day. The quality of the food provided at the reception was grossly inadequate. The resort food taste better than the catered food. The meals served were not only unappetizing but also failed to meet basic standards of taste. This was particularly embarrassing given the importance of the occasion and the expectations of our guests. More alarmingly, when checking in I asked for an upgraded room which it states in the package I purchased, it was based on availability. The lady at check-in informed me that there were no rooms to be upgraded to. When informed that our room was ready, I was horrified to find guests already present and engaged in an sexual act. This incident was extremely distressing and unprofessional. It raises serious concerns about the security and management of this facility. It also is a serious breach of privacy. It left me feeling violated and deeply uncomfortable in what should have been a sanctuary for relaxation and preparation. At this point we were than upgraded to a room which I requested in the beginning. If the upgrade was given when asked this event could have been avoided. I called the hotel to obtain the General Manager name and email address in which they stated that cannot give that information out. So I than went to google to find anyone that works for Breathless Cabo San Lucas. I than sent an email on Sunday August 4th, 2024. I did not receive an email back to speak about the situation until Tuesday in which I spoke with Mauricio. Mauricio offered me a 1 night stay back at their resort which I informed him that was not acceptable. We stayed here for 5 nights at the Xhale rate on top of paying for the wedding and vendors. He than informed me that he would call me the next day which would have been Wednesday August 7th, 2024. It is now Thursday August 8th, 2024. No email, no phone call and no solution. On top of things, my wedding was July 28th, 2024 and ii have yet to receive my weeding pictures. I trust that Breathless Cabo San Lucas understand the gravity of these issues and the significant impact they had on what was meant to be one of the happiest days of our lives. I am seeking an appropriate resolution for this series of unacceptable experiences.

If you need a break from everyday life-this might be your answer. The prefect mix of fun and relaxation. Don't miss the spa experience if you come as an xhale guest.

Yelp
Hi, This resort Breathless was the worst. Rude people, food was awful. Asked for. Quite room was behind the party pool. When we complained they said nothing we can do. Bull... They shove drinks down your throat but don't help with the important stuff. Fights in the hallway had to complain.. boom box going off had to complain... Couldn't get a decent cup of coffee. This is for 18 year olds do not go there if you want to relax because you can not. A/c load Wifi out three days, shower leaked all over floor, safe broken. Noise just obnoxious.. no shows unless you went to the kids side. Your shirt is no one communicates with anybody there it's awful and Expedia was even awful cuz I wouldn't even refund us any money nor with a hotel no one spoke to anybody couldn't get a ride anywhere cuz supposedly no one speaks English Americans go there they should speak English they come to America they want us to speak Spanish. Awful awful resort can you give it a one. Debbie M.

Yelp
Nice resort in a great location where there are plenty of shops/restaurants to choose from. We had an "all inclusive" package, which I would never do again. Rooms are spacious, clean and very nice. Hardly worth the price however.... Food is TERRIBLE! At. Every. Restaurant. on the property. Drinks are bottom of the barrel choices--- you can pay more for better choices, but prices are steep and we prepaid our package. Never again. I can't underscore enough how bad the food is...... also, this resort caters more to a younger crowd--- pool volleyball with obnoxiously loud music and live band music well into the night. Something that was even more unexpected was the major language barrier. Hotel staff spoke broken (at best) English and could rarely answer questions or even properly take a meal order. Very nice personality and helpful, but would expect much better from a Hyatt property. Had a great time with my girlfriends despite the lack of "wow" at this"resort"Likely will not visit this resort again, ever.

Yelp
Never again. They claim to be able to handle allergies, which we discussed with numerous folks before booking...I could eat at exactly TWO places on site, when we actually got there. And one of those was only open for dinner. Our room had broken blinds, which took a while to get fixed, with no offer of moving rooms...this was BEFORE our room had an attempted break in, by staff. There was no compensation, no offer of moving rooms, NOTHING. Our package was also supposed to include a complimentary dinner at their "high end" restaurant...yet they had TWO entree choices (overall, I'm not even speaking to my Celiac.) Premium alcohol is also a joke. The personal concierge, with the Xhale package is non existent. We managed to make our trip great, as we did basically everything off site. Will never stay here again and highly recommend that you don't, either. Everyone we spoke to had similar feelings to us--this Breathless is subpar compared to all their other properties. The two stars is ONLY for our pool server (who promptly ignored me when she realized we were leaving,) the morning poolside yoga, and the cool people we met. Did I mention they did NOTHING about the attempted break in? We were scheduled to be off site and ended up not going and napping.....hence being in the room. Our travel agent ended up making this right and, she absolutely did not have to, out of her own pocket. Shame on Breathless.

Yelp
Love our stay here at Cabo! Breathless is in a wonderful location on the marina. You can literally walk out of the hotel and step onto the marina. You can walk the whole marina and find plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and just about anything else you may be looking for. What a fun environment. The people at Breathless are wonderful. They were so hard to make sure our stay is wonderful. The food and drinks don't stop. The hotel is located right on Medano beach which is one of the most desired beaches in the area. They have two infinity pools to enjoy and a private beach area where guests can enjoy the beach. The hotel has about five different restaurants to dine at. So far we have not had any issues finding a table. A great experience and I believe we will definitely be back. Go Cabo and go Breathless!!!

Yelp
Do not waste your time and money on this hotel! food was terrible, service was slow. The majority of restaurants on this property require's you to take stairs, if you have any type of physical ailments you are out of luck, I'm 65 years old and had trouble climbing there stairs. This hotel has 2 buildings that need facelifts and elevators. My wife and I enjoy drinking Vodka! there so called stocked full mini bars have no Vodka, we called the manager to express our feelings, waste of time. They do not have small bottles of Vodka, and the Vodka they serve is terrible. TERRIBLE HOTEL IN CABO

Yelp
Wow! Worst food and loudest all inclusive I've ever been to as an adult! Yes, I've been to more obnoxious places in my late twenties and early thirties but as a full grown adult this has been the worst experience so far. Food is under seasoned, bland and has ABSOLUTELY no spice at all! As a hotel, it is acceptable, but as an all-inclusive resort it leaves a lot to be desired! I've never been to a worse resort in Cabo!

Yelp
I want to share my recent experience at this hotel to help fellow travelers make informed decisions when choosing accommodations for their vacation. During the final day of our stay, we encountered an unsettling situation in the pool when a highly intoxicated individual approached and began verbally harassing us. This distressing encounter escalated when he physically grabbed and kissed me on two separate occasions. My physical disability (cerebral palsy) limited my ability to respond quickly to these advances. What made this situation even more distressing was that the staff at the poolside restaurant witnessed the entire ordeal. Rather than checking in on us or offering assistance, they started serving us alcoholic drinks that we had not requested, which only added to our discomfort. Fearing another encounter with the assailant, whom we watched berate several staff members and fall over at least three times trying to leave the pool area, we chose to stay in our room for the rest of our stay (from around 3 PM onward). After contacting the hotel's management to report the incident, we were disappointed by their response. They consistently downplayed the severity of the situation and seemed to shift blame onto us for not reporting it immediately, even though their staff had been aware of the problem but had responded by providing us with alcohol. They continued to reiterate that their staff are trained on this and have a no-tolerance policy; however, I am not aware of any assault or harassment training that suggests liquoring up the victims. A weekend getaway with my best friend for the first time in years was utterly ruined. This is just a warning to be aware of your surroundings and safety should you stay here. The safety and support I believed would come with an all-inclusive hotel or even the support I assumed would come from staff witnessing such a situation, sadly did not exist. Pros: - Great location and view from the pool Cons: - Very poor wi-fi, especially in the room (I had to pay for extra data on my phone and use that as a hotspot to get anything to load) - Dinner options, especially room service, were just very bland. The only good meals we had were off-property.

Yelp
Tons of artificial energy coming from the DJ and thonged one-piece pool staff but it never really got going. When compared to the Me Cabo pool scene, it's a one-star. The person playing the bongos was/is good stuff (Thursday afternoon.) He made a notable difference on top of the overplayed "club mix" soundtrack. They do bring in live dancers and Circe-like performers that are fun. I'm here for a large group of bday celebrations. We each paid for our room but figured this would be easier for the large group's needs. I think we were all a little disappointed. They do a champagne shower for birthdays, bridal parties, or divorce parties. It was fun to see people celebrate and be celebrated. Lucky tip: order a "California margarita" to get a special floater making the marg epic even with low-end pours. The restaurants won't know what this is, but each of the bars does. The restaurant continued to disappoint (with the exception of Ocoto) Now to the food: good, not great. It's all-inclusive, so I didn't expect much, but it's just good. But then it could have been how long it took to be served the food that made it taste better than expected. Breakfast is horrible. You would be better off taking a taxi over to the Office for their breakfast on the beach. The pool spin-class was a fun/unique experience. The hotel layout is funky. With two separate buildings and lots of stairs to get where you want--after several cocktails, I kind of gave up trying to navigate and end up being sedimentary and not trying other spots. I had full access to all bars and restaurants, but I found myself not venturing far from the main pool (building #2.) you will have to walk ~5 -10 min trek from the back pool to get to the front lobby if you want to venture outside the all-inclusive hotel. I did figure out; it's faster to go out of the beachfront area to get to the Mango deck. (Judge me all you want, but I was bored enough to go somewhere else to people watch and drink.) They have a quiet pool located in building one with a bar looking at the marina, but it's tiny, which means you can be left wanting for a spot unless you get there early. Nonscientific data. The average age of the guest is late thirties to late 40s. I'm here in mid-August "post" covid. "Welcome Home." Is their welcome/trained greeting. My "personal concierge" was absentee for my entire stay besides for the morning phone call reminder to book outside events through him for his commission. The top-shelf drinks at "xhale" check-in location were better but not worth the hike from the pool. The food service was horrible. It took over an hour to get food at lunch and dinner. They convinced us to order family-style at the Italian place. It took over an hour to get the main course, and we had to double our orders of salad and pizza because they served so little, and it took so long. They served the extra salad after the main course. Dessert took 30 mins, and they only brought out enough for half the table again. The worst meal of the week was a birthday celebration too. Btw, they talk up the marina view when you are making your reservation. The entire hotel faces the harbor. The other side is a construction zone. The view of the harbor at sunset is amazing and worth planning your evening around. I won't be back. I prefer every other Cabo hotel I've been to much more. Even a simple "timeshare" spot like the Casa Dorada is better than this experience. It's pretty hard to justify the expense. The room was stark and not nice at all. It was overpowered with aromatics. I had to air out the room for a 2 hours while i waited for my bags. The bathroom door rubbed (and made a loud scraping noise) every time you closed it.) The walls were stark white, and I didn't care for it. Nasty stains on the bench near the bed--were/are disgusting. Why come to Mexico to trap yourself in a hotel that looks and feels like a prison. We had to ask for bottles of Vodka and Tequila because the staff could not keep up with our needs at the pool--so we became our own bartenders. We were here for 4 nights with 7 rooms at the xhale level.

Yelp
The food was really disappointing, I know it's an all inclusive but for the price I was expecting better quality food and options. Service was ok with the exception of Jessie, the activity coordinator, she was extremely attentive and made us feel welcomed every time we saw her. The location was great if you like to party, people watch and don't mind loud environments. It was centrally located in down town cabo surrounded by all the nightlife. May go back if they improve their food options.

Yelp
I am an unlimited vacation club member and i must say, the service here is terrible! The worst by far of their hotels and ive been to quite a few. Hotel is lovely but the service is just super bad. The employees look unhappy and annoyed. Food is below average. Only the italian restaurant is ok here in the hotel. Also, the amstar the transportation representative jonathan vargas is by far the most rude representative I've ever met. Just because we did not want to do any tour with him from day 1, he was rude when we asked him about our departure time for transportation to the airport. Saying "it's not my job". And made dumb faces at my wife and i when we were trying to explain that the flights always have updates and if he can check for us. Tried to talk to management but ofcourse, the management team were no where to be found. I would not recommend this hotel, sad to say. We will not be coming back to this hotel in cabo. Lots of nice hotels around here for cheaper. Oh, and their wifi is terrible here, so good luck if you are trying to work on your laptop....

Yelp
I attended a family wedding in March at Breathless Cabo San Lucas. This is in the Hyatt Inclusive Collection. My expectations were high based on what I read about this collection. Sadly, I was very disappointed by my experience and stay. The first morning I discovered the coffee maker was broken. It was replaced for the 2nd day. I requested more coffee and restocking the mini fridge. Neither of which happened. I discovered every day the room was cleaned and resupplied on a random basis with no consistency on what was restocked or how the room was prepared. The resort is spread out over multiple buildings, elevators and access. Numerous people in the wedding party were confused and uncertain how to navigate through the property. Lack of signage or assistance made finding your way around frustrating. The three restaurants at the Beach Club were closed (which was supposed to be an inclusive benefit). Instead they offered a buffet on the beach with no handicap access, which for several people in the wedding party had extreme difficulty getting there. The buffet featured a salad bar that was not restocked or replenished. The last ones through the line were picking at morsels to make a salad. They had a grill with fresh steak. However, it was so tough and full of gristle that most of us could not eat it. The other buffet items reminded of typical warmed over buffet restaurant lines with limited freshness or appeal. The best feature of this resort is its central location, but I think you could find much better choices and amenities nearby.

Yelp
We were taken care of from the minute we arrived. Christopher, Frank, Paul, Neli, Daniel and so many more hard working individuals, taking care of every request. 5 stars to the staff! Although we tried to tip everyone, we should have paid more attention and drank less tequila, because I am certain we forgot some.

Yelp
A group of us had a lovely week at Breathless in Cabo. If you are going for a quiet all-inclusive beach vacation, this resort is not for you. It is located directly on the extremely busy marina of Cabo and both the sea lions and party boats/fishermen will make it difficult to sleep (without a noise machine). It is a fun experience to walk around the marina and try out some of the outside shops and restaurants, But, be prepared to be haggled! The layout of the resort is very interesting - it is 2 separate buildings which are not connected, so there is a lot of walking to get to the gym, one of the pools and nearly all of the restaurants. All of the service staff is absolutely phenomenal; they go above & beyond to make sure you are a happy customer! If you have the opportunity to upgrade to the Xhale club, I would recommend it, as the VIP lounge and bartenders alone are incredible (Vieny was our absolute favorite). Excellent restaurants, there is not one meal that I did not enjoy! (I would recommend making reservations.) The activity staff- Carlos, Nely & Stefani, are lovely and we enjoyed going for an early morning hike as well as many pool activities!

Yelp
Not impressed at all!! Food was horrible...especially at Bites! To top it off...as an all inclusive they want to charge $45 per person to eat at one of their restaurants "Ocote" unless you are VIP...RIP-OFF!! If you like to rest don't book here...we were woke up in the middle of the night every night we stayed due to people jumping in the pool and yelling at 2am one night and 4am another night...and woke up multiple times every night by sea lions barking! Horrible experience! Way too expensive for the quality!!
