Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa

The resort was as presented online. Starting to show some signs of war and tear, but overall in good condition. Clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Small and quiet on the Breathless side, more lively on the Secrets side. Most restaurants are over there as is the beach. A short walk to Breathless beach area but further to restaurants. A cart ride is available. Food was good and fresh. Staff was courteous and always helpful. If you are looking for a quiet laid back resort this is it!

I am so glad I didn't pay attention to some of the negative reviews. This hotel is absolutely worth the money it is very clean, the staff is at your beck and call. The views are amazing the beach is clean and the restaurants are great with fresh food. You can not go wrong. If you ask the bartenders to make it strong, they will, which is recommended. I am out of the box thinker, and there were multiple times where I needed the staff to accommodate some requests like moving furniture setting up special areas they accommodated every time with a smile on their face. You will not regret it. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews you have seen. Those are probably people that have either been paid to talk negatively or have taste that far exceed anything a country could provide. I have been out of the country multiple times at different resorts, and all five stars rated. This one definitely stacks up.

We did our anniversary here, we stayed in the Xhale rooms that come with butler service. Our Butlers Shane and Rory were 2 fantastic people. And that goes for the entire staff that work at this resort. This was one of our biggest takeaways from Breathless is how incredibly polite, friendly and accommodating every single person we encountered was. The butlers showed me a bunch of different options, I threw them some money for supplies and they did such an amazing job decorating room, coordinated with me to be done while I was at dinner and it was just amazing. No complaints throughout the entire stay. Food and hospitality definitely up to par. Our room was beautiful and the credit to the grounds keepers because the landscape and pools were absolutely spotless. They definitely do a nice job there

Great location...only 25 mins from the airport. Love that it is adults only....the service was great! Rooms are cool...hot tub on every balcony from what I can see. Good amount of entertainment and fun even in the off season. And being able to access Secrets next door is great too! If you can afford it do the Exhale Club room with butler service. The butlers are amazing. Travis is the man! I made mention of something and he took care of it. I came for my birthday and they made me feel so special. Decorated door, complimentary champagne and cake. I will absolutely be back!

Impressive hotel if I say so myself. Adults only and not over packed with people. I have never stayed here before, so I am pleasantly surprised. It was a recommendation from the younger ones in our party. The balcony had a good size hot tub. In fact, all four of us fitted in. This could be set to our temperature settings to our comfort. There was also a chilling lounger, which was great for that lazy afternoon overlooking beautiful scenery. The only advice would be for management to update the rooms. It's the attention to detail that always gets that 5 star rating. The woodwork needs replacing or updating, especially the drawers, wardrobe doors, polishing the marble, etc. The overall appearance of the rooms is great. We had a junior suite, which was spacious enough for my friend and I. The view of the photos was sunrise and hence slightly overcast. The majority of the staff, actually all of them except one mmmm but it was dealt with appropriately. We're amazing, great customer service, and we were completely satisfied. Thank you to all the people, particularly the catering department, who addressed my needs. I felt over and beyond.

Small resort not much of a party vibe, plus I got food poisoning here. The room and view was beautiful but had to call room service to come back in to clean the toilet after I noticed a pee stain. Oh! And the shower had soap scum on it! Nonetheless, Everyone was pleasant. Not worth the $3,000 we spent. I’ve been to much better, will not be back.

When I go back to Montego Bay I will not ever stay at Breathless again unless they upgrade the rooms. I'm not sure what everyone is talking about how beautiful the rooms are. The rooms are horrible. There was water damage through the entire room. You can smell the mildew as soon as you walk in the room. My wife and I wound up switching rooms because the phone wasn't working. The room wasn't clean. The second room we were put in phone didn't work again the water was leaking outside of our shower by the bed. It's definitely not worth the money they charge.

Few things have changed since we visited in 2019 & 2021. Overall we had an amazing holiday & loved getting away for a family Christmas in the sun. The staff at Breathless were super friendly, fun and helpful. A credit to the brand. The staff over at secrets a completely experience. Kenneil at secrets who's been with the company for a long time outstanding service. Went Xhale in Breathless so we could book restaurants through our butler. That's all we had them do, Olivia came and chatted with us most days.
