Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa

My husband and I both celebrated our birthdays with this amazing trip, and it was one of the most incredible experiences we’ve had. We stayed for six days, and every part of it was perfect. From the moment we arrived, the concierge and every staff member were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pools were spotless, and the drinks were a perfect 10/10! Every server and bartender went out of their way to be attentive and make sure we had everything we needed. The buffet was absolutely fantastic—everything was fresh and made the same day. We didn’t do any excursions because we wanted to relax, but I’d highly recommend this place and would definitely come back again! 💧⛱️ 🍸 🥥 🍉 🍍 🥭

I had a great time staying at this resort. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe and enjoyed my experience. I would come back. The food was quite good and the beach was nice (there was seaweed, but the beach is cleaned in the morning. The hotel was very clean. I always had a ton of water in my room, which has been an issue at other hotels I stayed at before. The activities were very fun and I managed to meet amazing people. I had a lot of fun. The staff was great too. On the beach, Eduardo was great. Very sweet, welcoming and attentive. In the animation team, everyone was 10/10, including Chris Brown, Espaghetti, Mickey Mouse and Chocolate. They made sure I had a great stay.

Visited for 6 days for our Honeymoon. We thought it was the perfect amount of time. We worked with a travel agent which we loved because she took care of our transportation, flight, and booking needs for the entire trip which was very nice. It was our first time out of the country and first time at an all inclusive resort. Overall we had an amazing stay! Breathless was perfect for a combination of party/entertainment while also relaxing. Overall there was a variety of age groups there but I think a lot more close to our age - 20s/30s. It's Adult Only though which we wanted but had access to go over to the resort next to us and eat and enjoy their amenities. The staff was great and super helpful at getting any food/drinks you wanted! ||||We went on two excursions but the rest of the time enjoyed time at the resort. We were Xhale Members which we loved as that got us access to The Strip Grill in the mornings for a relaxing breakfast that wasn't packed and you didn't have to wait in lines. Our check in and check out process was in a separate room with a bar and very easy. We also had access to two other pools that were super relaxing and more private. I recommend Xhale!||||The only downside to this time of year was the seaweed by the beach was really bad. We are total beach lovers and only ended up going to the beach once due to that - but it has nothing to do with Breathless, I think it's pretty frequent in the Caribbean this time of year we heard. Luckily, during one of our excursions we visited Macao Beach which was gorgeous white sand, clear blue water, super refreshing - so that made up for it!||||Overall we would recommend Breathless and we would come back here again. Great honeymoon destination!

My wife and I recently stayed here for 5 days and it was one of the most amazing experience. Every single staff member starting with the concierge was friendly and welcoming. My overall experience at breathless was good. This was my first time out of the country and staying at an all-inclusive resort. The hospitality was amazing. The workers were exceptionally friendly throughout my entire stay. The resort was beautiful. I like that it had easy access to the beach. All of the pools were amazing. They were nice and big and they were separated nicely. A few things that I was not a fan of was, I did not have hot water my entire 5 day stay here. I called the front desk multiple times and they would send someone up but all they would do was turn the dial left and right but still the water would remain cold unfortunately. In addition to that, there were these little bugs flying around my room when I arrived I didn’t think much of it on the first day, but the next day I woke up with bug bites, which one of them were on my face which made my face swell up during my stay, which was unfortunate. I woke up with bug bites every morning. Housekeeping was OK. Every time they would come in and replenish, they would forget something. For example, they would leave washcloths but forget hand towels, or they would leave new towels, but would not replenish my washcloths, which then I would have to call downstairs to the front desk and wait until someone brought me washcloths. Which would be fast, but it’s just the inconvenience of having to wait to take your shower. Lastly, the food was not that good. I mostly ate at The Spoon during my stay which is the buffet. The fruit was always fresh and amazing but the hot food was a hit or miss mostly a miss. All the food looked really good but it just lacked flavor so I had to add salt and pepper to everything. The sweets looked delightful, but they still lacked flavor which is weird because how do you mess up a dessert. Our last night we ate at hibachi, which was really good. The food there was nice and flavorful. Unfortunately, we were unable to eat at any of the other restaurants because they seem to always be closed or have weird hours. Overall, my stay was good for my first all-inclusive resort would I recommend a friend? Probably not.

I didn't want to write this negative review but they have certainly earned it. Our stay at Breathless was the absolute worst ever. It is not up to Hyatt standards at all. This is not a 5 star resort. It is a 2.5 at best. The property is very dated which I didn't mind too much BUT: They barely clean the beach up leaving all the seaweed rotting away. If you are looking for a beach vacation, CHOOSE A DIFFERENT RESORT!! Neighboring resorts clean up their beaches and Breathless' response was "its natural" "we can't control it". Well you can certainly control cleaning it up like the neighboring resorts. We ended up spending our time at neighboring resorts and lost out on being able to order food and drinks on the beach. What did I upgrade to Xhale for? Avoid at all costs. And if you already booked, switch resorts!!

I wasn't sure how it would be due to the last couple of bad reviews and almost even canceled for a different resort, but I took the chance and was the best decision. I would 100% be back. The hotel is very pretty, big, luxurious and the food is delicious. Normally at resorts the food is standard but here it is pretty good. Different kinds of foods for all tastes, the drinks are great and the staff was amazing. They have 2 big pools. One for the ones that like to party and a bigger one for the ones that like to relax. The music is from 3:30 to 6pm so I'm not sure about the complaints for loud music at night. At least me, and my guests had a great time.

We went a few years ago for a friend’s birthday celebration. Our first impression of the resort was the grounds were really nice. However, once we got to the room, I felt they could use some updating. The food was okay. I think my favorite was the duck at the French restaurant. The service was wonderful! Our concierge was so friendly and attentive. If you’re an ocean/beach goer like we are, I would recommend staying on the other side of the island, where the water is crystal blue. On this side, the beach is lacking that quality. All in all, I feel for the money we spent, we could have gone somewhere a little nicer for the same price, if not a tad bit more. Excursions: We had an excursion booked with our travel agent before arrival with Remy’s tours. We were thoroughly disappointed. First, getting on the boat, they took us barely out of the marina and had to turn back around because that boat wasn’t functioning. Which, fine, fix that problem while we are close! Then, they knew we had a group of 10, but they didn’t have enough alcohol for everyone. The meal they served, we were told was to have lobster, but we never saw it. Lastly, when we were on the island they took us to, we caught one of the guy’s going through our bags, and even had one of our friend’s cell phones out, looking it at! **Beware: if you join the Breathless Real Guests Facebook group page, the resort DEFINITELY gives off swinger vibes. If you’re into that, totally your choice! Just putting it out there for those who may not want to indulge in those activities. While we were there, we definitely got those vibes but everyone was respectful and friendly. Just an FYI!
