Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa

For those wanting a quick assessment of Breathless Punta Cana, we can say it is great! We went for 11 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were great, the food was delicious and plentiful, the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Everything is very clean. Nightly entertainment was very good, but only had a 7 night cycle, so if you stay longer, expect repeat shows. Having access to Dreams Onyx next door is a nice perk too. Great adults only resort. The food was good, the resort was gorgeous. The rooms were nice and clean. Normally we can't wait to get back to our bed at home, not here, the beds/pillows were ridiculously comfortable! Love that I can go from to the pool to the beach and back to the pool seamlessly with little effort. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful, I didn't need water shoes at all. I brought my own mask and snorkel and went snorkeling 3 different days. It was great to just jump out of the pool grab my snorkel/mask and hit the beach!

My wife and I went to Breathless Resort & spa all inclusive, adults only in Punta Cana Dominican Republic. It was amazing. They really know how to take of you. We were greeted at check in with fruit drinks and plenty of knowledgable staff They rolled our the red carpet each and every day. We ate at Spoon when we arrived for lunch. It was a buffet with everything one can imagine. Then breakfast on the beach everyday at well not sure of the name but at night it was the Strip Grill. Buffet with everything from cereal to smoked fish, bacon, eggs oatmeal every kind of doughnut, pastries, hot foods, plantains, cheeses, desserts, eggs made to order, pancakes, french toast. They had everything you wanted and more. At night we dined at Sofrito several times, which we loved and the Strip Grill as well. The manager and the servers were top notch Templeator #12, SanCarlo, Wencelaro, JeanCalvos, and Wilson O. to mention a few were the best I have ever seen. The were the nicest, professional, knowledgeable, smart and very intelligent as well as helpful servers. We loved seeing them and talking with them. They made each and every meal unbelievable. I tip my Toque to the entire staff at Sofrito and The Strip Grill. My wife asked the manager and Chef for a special Spanish meal with crispy rice(concon) which was delicious, chicken, black beans and arroz with shrimp, plantains, momofuko? I can't remember the name, but it was incredible. The Chef and all the servers came to our table to say thank you. They all were incredible and made our days so very special. My wife and I just wrapped up a 5-day stay at Breathless Punta Cana, and I can honestly say it was world-class. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff; I’ve rarely encountered such a dedicated group of professionals. A massive thank you to Emely, Giovanni, Miguel, and Karen for making us feel so welcome. A special shout-out goes to Yeral at the Wink Bar—absolute legend! I also want to recognize Marcos and Deivi; we were lucky enough to have them take care of us at the buffet and again later at the Italian restaurant. Their service was flawless. And of course, big love to the homie Franklin "El Sazón" at the Barefoot Grill—best vibes on the beach! The grounds and facilities are stunning and meticulously kept. If you’re looking for a party, the nightly pool bashes are electric. It does get loud, but that’s exactly what you sign up for here! If you need a breather, the water park at the sister resort next door is a great escape for some peace and quiet. Funnily enough, even though it’s a family-friendly area, the kids were often better behaved than the adults! Don't hesitate to book your trip here. We had an amazing time and are already missing it!

We stayed at the resort for 7 days and our experience was fantastic. The resort is very well maintained, and the highlight for us was the excellent service and the super friendly, polite staff. The food was amazing, especially the buffet. Buffets at resorts are usually not that great, but this one truly surprised us with a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Our room was spacious and spotless. The pools were great, and the entertainment was enjoyable as well. I also used the spa and the massage was fantastic. We had access to the neighboring resort too, and the water park there was a lot of fun. We were a group of 8 and absolutely loved the experience. Highly recommended!

Breathless resort in Punta Cana was hands-down the best family vacation we have ever had! |The resort was very beautiful, but it is the staff that makes this place magical !!! |We have travelled to many different resorts in Dominican Republic and have never felt like we were family!!! You could feel a good vibe from all staff. Many of them said that it was their pleasure, but it was truly ours! |The minute we arrived it was 4 o’clock in the morning We were shuttled to our rooms by Victor ( with the coolest hair). He made sure that everybody got in and settled and had everything that we needed to start our vacation.|The next morning we headed to the steakhouse, which is by the beach for the buffet breakfast. |This is where we met our amazing concierge, Big Willy, who did everything to make sure that our stay was the best it could possibly be! |The staff in the restaurants always went above and beyond, making sure that we didn’t want for a single thing and making us feel like family !!! Elio, Carlos, Payano, Allaney, zeke, ancellese, yovidie and I’m sorry if I forgot anyone!!! |We spent a lot of our days by the ocean, which is beautiful, very clean no sargassum. The beach staff are unbelievable. WILKIN!!!, Andrea, Melina Melina, Andrea, Yuli and Ana were amazing! |Nico (weeeeeee) and Miguel are the managers of the pools and do a wonderful job! After 20+ years of traveling we are writing our first review. Like everyone else, we spend hours reading reviews and watching videos. If you like a very lively pool with music, some drinks and fun-this is your place! We lived the pool vive!! Customer service was absolutely top notch and they could speak to you and they understood what we were saying. Food was very good and we lived not having to make reservations at night. Not a negative but the only tiny negative we could say was the resort was just a touch dated but very clean and well kept. 100% loved this place and easily makes our trip 3 places we’ve been too!! We will be back. On a side note-don’t ever fly American Airlines-we got delayed 3 separate days and it turned a 7 day trip into 11 day.

This is our 3rd time in the Dominican Republic. We went in 2014, 2023 and 2026. All three times, it just seemed the hospitality of the country was not the best. It was like they really didn't care if we were there or not. Of course there were a few individuals that were very friendly and then there were some that only were nice for tip. All three of our resorts that we stayed at were awesome. We most recently stayed at Breathless Punta Cana and it was super nice. Again, the entertainment was good but, it was just really hard to find the activities and locations. The staff was not the best at engaging--except for Shanthy! He was an amazing dancer and entertainer. He always spoke to us and helped us find things. We also visited the "sister" resort, Dreams and it was very nice as well! We did book party boat excursions--note to self: make sure you know the locations. The shuttle to the beach for the boat from Breathless was a little sketchy! Yikes! It was a trip. When we booked a party boat in 2023, it was right on our beach that we stay at and was super fun and easy peasy. Noise level at Breathless could be an issue, but we used a sound machine so it was not a problem. Overall, it was a great trip but, we will probably not return to DR again unless, we win a free trip. Weather was beautiful. I do recommend going in the late winter, early spring months. We did go in June in 2023 and it was BLAZING hot, mosquitos everywhere and almost miserable. Also of note, is the distance of the hotel from the airport. The drive is usually uneventful but, the farther out, the more nervous one can get.
