The BreckConnect Gondola is absolutely fantastic! The ride is smooth, scenic, and incredibly convenient perfect for getting from town up to the mountain without any hassle. The views along the way are breathtaking, especially with the sweeping mountain panoramas and wildlife sightings. The cabins are clean, comfortable, and run frequently, so there’s hardly ever a wait. It’s a fun experience for families, skiers, or anyone who just wants to enjoy a gorgeous aerial ride. A must-do when visiting Breckenridge! There are parking spots available, I paid $18, and the gondola ride was free.

Whether you’re skiing, sightseeing, or just heading up for lunch, the gondola makes the experience effortless and enjoyable.

Gondola and parking are free in the summer. Kids love soaring over the condos and the animal preserve. Gondola takes you up to the ski base area. In summer, they have a lot of (expensive) adventure activities. Slightly cheaper to buy online for pickup at the will-call window rather than the on-site window. Look around to see what you'd like to do, then see the information booth in the center for pricing options. Then use the available QR Code and your smartphone to get the online discount. Take water. Like at any ski location, food and drink are nearly+50% to double the cost downtown. I will say the Alpine Slide is a unique thrill and worth a try. It's a three to four minute ride depending on how fast you go. The area is US Forest Service land so you can also go hiking.

The BreckConnect Gondola was open on the way up to the slopes and the views were absolutely beautiful—no complaints there. Unfortunately, the experience on the way back was completely different. The gondola was closed due to high winds, which is understandable, but the situation was handled very poorly. Staff were rude and disorganized, with little clear communication. The lack of coordination made the return trip vis bus unnecessarily stressful, leaving people feeling anxious and agitated. A disappointing ending to what started as a great experience.

The gondola was super fun, despite getting stuck up there for 25 minutes. The views were beautiful! The attendant Austin T. greeted us with a smile and kind word each time we got off (we road several times).

I had never been on a ski gondola before so this was a cool first for me. We actually drove up to where we wanted to go which was the Grand Colorado but the only parking for non hotel guests was 1 parking garage area that was like $50.00. We knew we weren't going to be there very long so that just seemed a little ridiculous for a few hours but even all day. Down below, parking is like $25.00 and the gondola ride up is free so I was all for that and it meant I got to enjoy the views on the ride up. It was an experience for sure and honestly, I would have felt cheated missing that part of being in a ski resort town.

The Breckenridge Gondola (also called the BreckConnect) provides a way for skiers, boarders and tourists to have access to the ski resort from Breckenridge. The gondola takes you to the base of Peak 8 and is free to ride. Each cabin can carry up to eight passengers and goes 7,600 feet in about 10 to 12 minutes. The gondola makes two stops before making its way to Peak 8. If you want to go to the Independence SuperChair lift, the gondola makes a midway stop at Peak 7. Just make sure you have a lift or Epic Pass on you so that you can board the lift. The other stop is at Shock Hill Station and is for residents only. The gondola's main station is located just about a block from Main Street on the North side of town next to the Breckenridge Transportation Center. Even though it is free to ride the gondola, you still have to pay to park. There are also restrooms nearby. We enjoyed our ride up the gondola and the conversations that we were able to make with other skiers. The ride was smooth and you can't beat the views of the Breckenridge Ski Resort mountains. The gondola is open to everyone to ride (including dogs). The gondola isn't just for winter season activities. It is also a great way to visit the Breckenridge Fun Park during the summer season.

You absolutely have to ride this if you're in town. There was no wait. Start your day with this because the area is prone to storms, so if you don't want to miss out the sooner the better. There's stuff to do once you get to the stop, just expect to spend a pretty penny on all adventures.
