Interesting “time capsule” house with lots of original Victorian architecture, furnishings and family belongings. Combined museums ticket makes it great value. Doesn’t take very long to enjoy the whole property, and received an information sheet as I arrived. Would perhaps have appreciated some more information in each room with insight into who used the room etc.

Excellent place!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Breidablikk Museum. The gentleman in the beautiful historical costume provided us with a fantastic guided tour of the house in flawless English. He shared the captivating history of the house, showcased the exhibits, and offered insights into the lives of the affluent in the past century. It was incredibly fascinating, and I highly recommend it to everyone. I regret not being able to express our gratitude to this gentleman with something delicious :(

This place is like a large dollhouse from the 1800th century. Greeting staff is dressed as maids and gives a warm welcoming. Feels like the people who used to lived there is about to step in through the door at any giving moment...

We arrived and we’re the only ones there! The gentleman very kindly offered to give us a guided tour seeing as there was no one else about! It was so interesting to learn so much about the house and for those who enjoy a historic house then this sure is one to try!

This was our 3rd stop as part of the Stavanger museum. I think this house was the best to visit just because of the architecture and decorating style. It's very 1800's Germany style which is very ornate and elegant. It also has a different layout than the other 2 Estates in the area due to the architecture difference. It's worth a stop in because the ticket covers all 3 Estates, the maritime museum & Stavanger museum as well as the canning museum.

Beautifully maintained Victorian era house in a lovely area. Fully furnished. Lots of wonderful wooden Norwegian charm and elegance.
