Breidenbacher Hof Düsseldorf (Dusseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s a colorful backstory to the Breidenbacher Hof Düsseldorf, perched canalside on the city’s famed Königsallee boulevard. In its 19th-century heyday, this luxury hotel hosted dignitaries and Russian czars; the building was destroyed by bombs in World War II, rebuilt, then demolished again to make way for the glamorous current iteration. The elegant Lobby Lounge, with its coffered ceilings, dark wood paneling, and silk brocade, evokes the past, as do the retro brasserie, The Duchy, and the black marble bar. Rooms and suites are refined yet contemporary, featuring plush lounge space, spacious Italian marble bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, king-sized beds, and tech-forward bedside touch panels to control lighting and temperature. Downstairs, there’s a high-end spa with an indoor pool, two Finnish saunas, and a steam bath. While beneath street level, look for a portion of Düsseldorf’s old city walls on display, uncovered during a recent round of excavations." - Tablet Hotels

My first time in Dusseldorf and I booked this hotel hoping it was up to standard. It certainly was and more. Very spacious rooms, with a lovely bath and separate shower. First class service in all aspects of my stay. Great breakfast. Nice …

My trip was s short one but a memorable one! The staff was great, super friendly and forthcoming. The breakfast was incredible. Only the parking situation was a bit frustrating and I ended up taking the train. Apart from that it was great and I will be back next year!

Vector from the PA team was absolutely outstanding and made our stay unforgettable his professionalism, and genuine care elevated our entire experience. Everything ran smoother and felt more personalized because of him. He didn’t just do his job he went above and beyond in every way, making our visit 10x better. The hotel is truly lucky to have someone like Vector on their team!!

My first time in Dusseldorf and I booked this hotel hoping it was up to standard. It certainly was and more. Very spacious rooms, with a lovely bath and separate shower. First class service in all aspects of my stay. Great breakfast. Nice modern gym (perhaps a little small) and the location is unbeatable, near a verdant park (good for a run) and all the best shopping. I loved the guests only living room area too. Only minute hiccup was the laundry bag was not replaced when the room was made up, but very very few hotels seem capable of doing this, even the world’s best!|Anyway, I will certainly stay here again and it contributed significantly to a wonderful visit.

Wow, what a great hotel in a wonderful city. My wife and I spent two nights in the hotel and we wished we could have stayed much longer. The whole hotel was perfectly maintained and designed and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had booked the Dutchy Suite and the room did not disappoint, it was very large, with a full living room, work area, large bedroom and very large bath with a jetted bath. the location in ideal for access to the main attractions and shopping district. We felt very well taken care of and would recommend the hotel very highly. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

Wow where to start? We went with 8 family members to celebrate my mother’s birthday. It was our first time in the hotel. From start till end was excellent: superb service, amazing breakfast and a very lively and nice bar in the evening with live music. The rooms are stunning and very well equipped, comfortable and high tech ( especially for a historical city hotel very modern). Perhaps the only thing missing was an outdoor area to sit and enjoy a drink. I personally found the restaurant in the evening too expensive missing the right price/quality balance. Despite this we will for sure return one day and can only recommend this hotel!

The location, the facilities and the service were magnificent. The personal assistant and the pleasant living room area (with tea, coffee and a very comfy area to relax) are unusual nice features that add value to the stay. The rooms are tastefully decorated, with colors that give a sense of calm and high quality furnishing.

The hotel staff are well trained and accommodating. The rooms are very well proportioned but starting to show their age. Toiletries and amenities in the bathroom are not of the quality previously available. ||Perhaps I was unlucky but I encountered a couple with a yappy, noisy dog in both the main floor lounge (during the afternoon) and 1st floor dining area outside the bar when I was attempting to have a peaceful dinner. The dog was poorly behaved (barking and soiling the carpet), the couple were quite uncouth (the more they drank the worse it got). Hotel staff did not even attempt to manage this properly on either occasion. Any reputable hotel that allows pets must ensure both the pets and their owners are well behaved.||Also at dinner, I was served by a rotating cast of 5 people which was off putting and not well handled. The service was far too long||Finally, the noise external to the hotel at night was unusually load. While the hotel obviously has limited control of this, it should install better soundproofing on the windows.||I have stayed at this hotel happily before but will think carefully about a repeat visit as my stay was disappointing.

Yelp
Outstanding hotel with the best in class service from the staff and the little attention to detail in the rooms. You go through the "Living Room" to get to your room with a personal assistant escorting you to show you all the details. We went over the Holidays and the hotel is very convenient to the Christmas Markets and high end shopping is very close by. Max who was running the front desk was outstanding in helping with several requests that we had. Stephanie was our personal assistant who was also very charming and helpful. A must stay while in Dusseldorf.

Yelp
5 stars is not enough..... My colleague was able to swing some very competitive rates when he booked six months ago. During the trade show we were here to attend, they go for $2300 per night. They were less than $600 when we booked many months ago. That is actually competitive when compared to tiny horrible places we have stayed before for about $400 a night. My company is generous and understanding so this type of hotel is definitely a treat. Hard to call my wife back home to describe the marble interior, the spiral staircases, the private living rooms, fully stocked and complementary mini fridges, waterfall showers, huge tub, bidet, electronically controlled drapes, luxury towels and robes, turn down service, killer bed and pillows, garden views, perfect location next to Old Town, fast wifi, the most amazing complementary breakfasts and killer lounge. Yes, dear, business travel sucks.

Yelp
Amazing hotel. Would not change anything. Good location to walk to old town and bar and restaurant were phenomenal. Breakfast buffet amazing and so many choices to order Al a carte and on buffet.

Yelp
Lovely hotel with a good restaurant and great late night lounge Brasserie 1806 Located in the Breidenbacher Hof hotel, Brasserie 1806 offers a tasty breakfast and an enticing dinner menu. Each morning we looked forward to the delicious eggs and fresh squeezed orange juice. For dinner we devoured the veal meatballs and the original Wiener Schnitzel. The chef's offering of veal tartare, fried blood sausage and Dusseldorf beer was a delicious introduction to dinner. CD couldn't get enough of the pate and French bread. The cheese plate was also incredible.

Yelp
Excellent hotel and definitely 5 star worthy. Location: It is situated in the heart of everything. It is next to Königsallee, where all the high end shopping is. It is similar to the Rodeo Drive of Beverly Hills or the Champs-Élysées or Paris France. On the opposite side, there are many restaurants and bars to frequent if you so choose all within a stone's throw from the hotel. Everything you need or want is within walking distance. Hotel: It is very clean, the décor is very contemporary with very European influences. There is a grand stair case on the right when you enter and the check-in desk is right after the staircase. There is the living room which has refreshments such as tea, coffee, soft drinks, along with some snacks such as fruit, crackers, candies, etc. It also has a very nice Michelin rated restaurant called Brasserie 1806. I did not get to eat dinner there but would definitely go back. I did not get a chance to check-out the spa/fitness but I was told it was very nice with an excellent pool. Room: I had the Capella Suite for two nights. As it is in the heart of Dusseldorf and with Germany beating Italy in the UEFA Euro 2016, it was very loud with lots of horns honking and people celebrating but that was to be expected and would have been a completely different feel if they had lost. The Capella suite had a large living room area with a very large and comfy sofa and a office desk. Behind the desk were bookshelves with several books which made the room feel like home. The minibar was free which included coke, Coca-Cola zero, orange juice, apple juice, sparking and still water. There was tea and also coffee maker. There was a small bathroom with heated floors. The bathroom was quite small and the door when opened looked like it would hit the sink area but it was nice to have a separate bathroom in the living room area. The entire suite was equipped with touchscreens to control lighting, drapes, etc. The bedroom was very large and the bed was supremely comfortable. The nightstands on each side both had plugs built-in to the drawers inside the night stand along with touchscreens. The bathroom was very large and included a huge walk-in shower, a Jacuzzi tub, and a toilet with a bidet. The views were ok. The room was very clean and large and I would highly recommend staying in the capella suite. Service: The service was excellent. Lucas, guided me around the hotel and the room and was very helpful in planning things for me and giving me directions to where I needed to go. He helped open doors for me and always addressed me by name. I had called about aspiring and it was brought up within 5 minutes at around 3AM. The service was top notch and the service alone is worth the visit. The personal assistant was very helpful in getting us reservations to a sushi restaurant and also referred us to an excellent vegan restaurant near the Rhineturn. Recommendation: I would highly recommend it and would definitely come back if and when I get a chance.

Yelp
I love this hotel, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food in both the restaurant and lobby is excellent as is the ambiance. My family have come and stayed in the hotel and had nothing but great things to say about the comfort and ammenities in the rooms. Definately an much needed addition to Düsseldorf, hope it remains a step ahead of all the rest.
