Brennan's Bed & Breakfast

I booked a room for my Partner and I as a little getaway to celebrate Father’s Day before our Daughter Joins our family in a Few Months. This was the first real date experience we’ve had since lockdown of the pandemic and we were not disappointed. The house is immaculate, filled with carefully maintained details. It’s easy to see how cherished each room is to Noreen and John. They were fantastic hosts with the perfect balance of making us feel included and offering us our privacy. They delighted us with History and Tales that really appealed to our interests and made us feel like we were visiting family. The breakfast was delicious and the view is spectacular, I already miss the porch swing and morning breeze from the river. We will make a point to stay again!

Beautiful stately house, tastefully decorated with incredible wood interior architecture located in a well-kept picturesque neighborhood right in front of the Saint John River. Owners are a lovely friendly couple who greeted us with such wonderful maritime hospitality. Rooms are well decorated, spacious and super clean. I highly recommend this B & B.

Absolutely lovely! Noreen and John are very welcoming and helpful with tips for navigating around Fredericton. Rooms are very clean and the bed is quite comfy. The home is very interesting with unique architecture and detailed woodworking. Breakfasts are marvellously delicious! Stay here! You won't regret it.

Loved this B&B! The owners are lovely people and go out of their way to satisfy you. The rooms are very nice, we saw 3 different ones, and all were beautiful Victorian style with a nice blend of modern tech like wall mounted flat screens and heat pumps in the rooms. The price was excellent, and you can walk easily to the farmers market or downtown. We had a 1 and 4 year old, and Noreen set us up in a room with a kitchenette which had a king size bed for my wife and I, a twin bed for our daughter, and still lots of room for a pack and play for our son. They even had a bed rail for our daughters bed. The breakfast was made to order and had a different selection each day. Fruit and granola with yogurt was served first, followed by a delicious hot breakfast. We were impressed to say the least. If you love beautiful views of the Saint John river, old world carved wood everywhere, and quiet relaxing rooms, you won't be disappointed. We loved it so much, we ended up going back a second time before our vacation was over.

The best ever B&B experience. We were a group of 7 on our last stop of a two-week road trip. This definitely was one of the highlights of that trip. Beautiful victorian house with large rooms nicely decorated. Breakfast was exquisite and served in delicate china. The experience reminded all of us of Downtown Abbey! Noreen and John are wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed John teliing us more about the history of the house and its neighborhood. Very reasonable pricing as well. A must if you are in Fredericton.

Had the pleasure of staying here during August of 2020, in the middle of a pandemic. The hosts were amazing! Very professional and warm but also very hands-off unless needed and willing to give us as much privacy as we wanted. The house is GORGEOUS; you'll really feel like you've stepped back in time architecturally but are living with all the comforts of the modern times. Our room (#2) had a comfy jacuzzi tub, great air conditioning and good internet/cable. Bed was pretty comfy, better than most places. Breakfast was also a real treat, served in their beautiful dining room with a full spread of coffee, fruit, yoghurt and granola and a great main course of sausage and waffles. Such a good start to the day and gave us fuel to go exploring. I'll be back as soon as I'm in the area again; one of the best B&Bs I've ever been to.

I stayed for one night @ Brennan's, I was not disappointed. A beautiful home just a short walk to the downtowns many bars and restaurants. The proprietor was a lovely woman, very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and the room was incredible. I will be staying again, without a doubt. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a stay here while you are in Fredericton.

Absolutely gorgeous place, one of the most stunning B &B we had the chance to stay in, inside like outside. Great hospitality and good location, minutes away by foot from downtown and the pedestrian bridge. Highly recommend.

You will never go wrong by choosing to spend some time at Brennan's. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, the beds are clouds that embrace you, and the hosts Noreen and John are the kindest sweetest people I may ever have met. The heated bathroom floors were a treat that I was not expecting in such a grand old home but that just proved to me once again that nothing is overlooked when it comes to their guests' comfort. Breakfast is always wonderful, and what delights me every time is that the people with whom we share the table are always interesting and delightful breakfast companions. If you are visiting Fredericton, treat yourself to Brennan's.

On par with Grey Gables, ("the place by which I will forever judge all other accommodations in every possible category including price and atmosphere") Brennan's B&B is a beautiful old home located on the Saint John River within walking distance of the downtown area and all it has to offer. My girlfriend and I stayed in the King Suite which included an amazing bathroom with a huge Jacuzzi tub (Best. Bathtub. Ever.), fireplace, flat screen TV, kitchenette and super comfortable bed. The house is gorgeous inside and out and the hosts make you feel at home with helpful tips for what to do in the area and a genuine interest in your travels. The big breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, jams, ham and your choice of eggs. If you need to stay in the Fredericton area, do yourself a favor and look no further than Brennan's, you won't regret it.

For the past two years, I've been staying at Brennan's when I come to Fredericton on business. I think I've stayed in every room, and I've never had anything less than a wonderful experience. The beds are super comfy, the rooms are spotless, and Noreen and John are warm and welcoming hosts. And those breakfasts! Brennan's sets the standard. Highly recommend.

I must agree with Aaron the bathtub enthusiast that Brennan's B&B is quite lovely and the only place I would stay in Fredericton. Not to offend New Brunswickians, but some parts of NB were a little underwhelming. Fredericton, however, was a lovely gem and the area surrounding Brennan's was even better. The old homes on the river are huge and amazingly well-kept. With a walking trail across the street, views of the river and a great neighborhood, this location was perfect. The innkeepers were very genuine and pleasant but without being intrusive. I never felt like I was invading their home. Despite the age of the home, it was wonderfully updated with a great and spacious shower. I can only imagine they expanded a closet to put it in and yet it did not feel cramped or tacky. This took great foresight and planning to make a well-functioning B&B without ruining the character of the building. And it had LOADS of character without the dust or fussiness you might expect.

Really great stay! The bed was really comfy, the ambience amazing, and to top it off the floors in the bathroom were heated! Great location and very helpful hosts. The breakfast was amazing!!! Noreen and John are perfect hosts. Well worth every penny.

John and Noreen are the ultimate hosts; warm and friendly offering the B&B experience exactly as it should be. This amazing historical home is exceptionally well maintained and provides a lovely balance of old and new (antique furniture and decor with new bath fixtures and comfortable beds). I highly recommend Brennan's to anyone visiting the area.
