No accomodation is off8cially available. I would, however, highly recommend trying every available door as you may be in for a little surprise 😉

The light house is not completely open but you can still visit and go inside the gate, there’s nothing much to see in the light house but it’s all about the view you get from there and the things you get to see while walking to the light house. To get here you need to take a ferry from Lerwick which costs £2.8 (two way).

Had a great week here! Accommodation is basic but adequate and clean! You have to remember that this is a small island on Shetland. The warden Frank was very friendly and helpful. He definitely gets 5*****'s as does the stunning location!

Great getaway from Lerwick and a sweet spot on its own. Stay in the cottage or park up a campervan.
When going out for the coastal walk, which is definitely recommended, don't forget to look back at the lighthouse to see the natural arch just below it. You'll probably see it on your return as the coastal walk goes around the whole of Bressay; a long walk.
Lots of Northern fulmars are gliding along the cliffs curious to see the passersby and there's great views of the island, Mainland and Noss. Keep an eye out for cetaceans!

Possibly the greatest break ever. A relaxing sleeper train from Euston to Aberdeen. A day in Aberdeen exploring the city and then an overnight ferry crossing to Lerwick. We spent the whole holiday using public transport and the Royal Mail postal bus.
Sea otters, puffins, seals, gannetts, sea urchins, Arctic tern and orcas. All within 500m of the lighthouse.

Lovely view of the South Entrance to Lerwick Harbour, on a delightful Island with many great amenities.
Also a Pokéstop.
Highly recommended and I will certainly return.

We were at Bressay Lighthouse in July 2013. Great place, and beautiful surroundings. It was excellent back then and I would not hesitate to stay again. From Malta
