This hotel has it's own little beach and a jetty over the clear waters. The island is very hilly and with only one road surrounding the National Park in the centre, the hotel is on the edge of town. Only negatives are that due to the rustic construction, sound carries from the living areas downstairs and from other rooms very easily so suggest earplugs if a light sleeper and a sleep mask as the curtains and front door allows light to flood in. Fani on reception is such a star... even helping us when my hired scooter got a flat tyre. Trips to other islands within Karimunjawa national Park are easily available and the snorkeling is wonderful. Great place for a true off the beaten path paradise escape. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to being built into the hillside though. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended

We spent one week on Karimunjawa and the Resort and loved every single minute. It's in a wonderful setting not too far from the village. The beach is small and lovely. We stayed at the Esplanade Suite which is nicely furnished, the huge terrace offers great views. The staff is very friendly and engaged. |The food at the restaurant is probably the only negative. The dishes are lacking taste and even the spicy items are rather bland. But maybe this is how the (western) tourists like it? However the village isn't far and offers plenty of options.

We stayed at the resort for 5 nights during New Year. Our first impression upon arrival was a bit disappointing as we found the lobby/restaurant messy. The room (beach view studio) was alright, however: 1. There is a matted glass in the front door through which the light from the hallway is shining which is very disturbing when going to sleep. 2. The walls between the rooms are not soundproof so you can here the people next door clearly talking etc... 3. There is not sufficient lightening in the room and no light outside on the terrace (very annoying). 4. the AC of the room next door is right next to the terrace...when sitting on the terrace you have constantly the sound of this. 5. The nightstand lights have no switch, you need to unplug from the socket every time. 6. The shower cabin is not very comfortable and the doors close/open very difficult/not at all as this is a shower unit that is made out of plastic and moveable. 7. The mirror is not in front of the sink so not practical. 8. The mosquito net looks romantic but is very annoying when sleeping as it hangs like a cone from the ceiling. 9. The mattress is of poor quality and already sagged. 10. Curtains were broken and nobody cared. The owner was sitting at his office in the restaurant next to the staircase all the time and only on day 3 did he acknowledge us and said hello... The staff need better training; they started cleaning the room when we were still inside instead of waiting till the guests left for excursions, towels are only changed when asked for, any request is met with confusion. Breakfast was good considering where you are (remote island) Price/quality (we paid 1.350.000 rupiah/night) is out of balance according to my opinion. However you will not find anything better on the main island of Karimun Jawa except maybe if you rent a private villa. Btw I have been working in the travel industry as marketing manager for 24 years in Indonesia as a permanent resident.

This is a beautiful place but when we visited for a meal our experience was massively at odds to our surroundings. Terribly slow and confused service and absolutely awful, badly cooked and semi-cold food. A little it Fawlty towers but not as funny.

The owner managed to create a true paradise on the marvelous island Karimunjava. The staff is warm and friendly, the rooms are very clean, spacious and have all breathtaking views. We extend our stay, and slept in 3 different accommodations in Breve Azurine. But in the superior suite you feel royal. I want to live here 😊.

This resort was very beautiful and tranquil. But needs some work to make it perfect.||Firstly, it sits right on its own perfect little beach with palm trees and sun beds. You can hire kayaks for free. The breakfast is quite basic but tasty. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. It’s a small hotel with maybe 15 rooms. The staff are super friendly. The room was clean and spacious.||Downsides are that it’s on a steep hill so lots of walking. Not wheelchair friendly! It said there was world;s available to borrow, but there was just one broken snorkel ( no mask). The restaurant requires you to order 24 hrs in advance so we just ate out each day. Finally, the pool was in a state of disrepair, and no attempt to even make it look acceptable. Broken barrier, green sludge at the bottom, and a sign saying ‘ warning poison’. You have to walk past it every day. Either fix it, or just make it look ok…. After all, this is meant to be one of the best places on the island!||Overall, the stunning location and beach. Are up for the pool, you’ll be happy staying here.

This hotel has lovely bungalows with beautiful views. They have a private beach with decent snorkelling and great kayaking and they provide free snorkelling equipment and kayaks. They provided a good breakfast and the restaurant was nice. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful environment.

We stay here from 16.06.2023 till 22.06.2023 ... the owner ask me to put the date of stay here - so let's say 2 weeks ago! 3*+ The Resort lays 2 km from Karimunjawa Village on a quiet hang at a hill. It has a small but senic beach between rocks and under coconut trees. They provide sun loungers (mostly broken) and kajaks for free. Some corals in the water and a few fishes. Maybe it's a good place to learn snorkeling. We stayed 6 nights in a "Seahill Cottage" with a nice sunrise view over the bay. The cottage is good equipped, with AC (if it's working), small fridge, coffee facilities and free water refill in the resort. Don't forget your mosquito repellent and sun lotion (you are in the tropics 🦟🌞) but the hotel provides insect room spray. After Corona, here and there in the resort are some fresh paintings and maintenances urgent necessary. The breakfast is very basic and has no variety. The dinner has no surprises as well. Unfortunately, although the harbor with the fish market can be reached quickly by foot, there was no fresh fish available in the restaurant (only lobster on reservation). We always went to the Alun-Alun Square, bought freshly caught fish, delicious grilled on the spot and take it to enjoy it with a bottle of white wine in the resort. Special thanks to the very helpfull and polite ladies 5* from the restaurant.
