Ever travel to beautiful Rotorua, don't miss eat street and once there, BREW restaurant. The pilsner I've had there was awesome, lager for my missus was perfect too. Beer is a high quality drink and the chips we had with it was perfectly fried and crispy. Very well treated staff, the guy with beard is very cool and friendly. Well ordered seats and nice atmosphere to enjoy meal and chat. And for the burger, im lost for words. It was unearthly, super thick, juicy with a perfect sauce and yummy nz cheese. Extremely recommended.

recommend for dinner. friendly staff. beautiful food. we enjoyed the duck, ribs, wings and Tuscan chicken (i give this one a 12/10 highly recommended) all were great! I don't however recommend the fried pickles, more batter than pickle slice. if they can work out a thin tempura batter it would be good.

Great atmosphere. Staff was friendly. The food was fresh and tasty. They do beer flights, which was nice.

On the higher end for pricing. Food was okay, not overly flavorful. Great customer service.

Had been going to Brew Bar every time we’re in NZ since 2015. Nice vibe, great locally brewed beer (with some interesting guest beers on rotation), and good food.

Absolutely loved my meal here, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The pork belly starter was fantastic with really amazing sauce. The icing on the cake were the ribs they serve. Slow cooked, served with a generous portion of fries and salad. This place has set the bar for ribs and I will definitely be back again!

We were exploring Rotorua on a cold NZ winter night and discovered this insanely cool downtown area. We were hungry and walking through the dark streets looking for anything that might be open and also have gluten free options for me. A few streets down from us we heard music and saw neon lights flickering in the distance. Like unsuspecting deep sea fish we felt magnetized to the sparkly lights in the dark of night, luckily for us that once we reached them we were the ones doing the eating! This restaurant is located on a really cool street partially covered by a neon light canopy, sort of like going into a spaceship. We saw the menu of Brew Craft and were sold. The inside has a nice intimate atmosphere with low lighting with a casual gastropub design. In addition to a large selection of brews, they also have an upscale dining menu with tons of options to choose from. Our server was very friendly and helpful and pointed out their many gf options designated on the menu including unconventional items like chicken wings, chicken tenders, and pizzas. We decided to share the gf chicken wing appetizer and the slow roasted lamb shank main. Both were incredible. The chicken wings were crispy and saucy and kept me going back for more. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender with a delicious mashed potato. We wanted to order so much more, but as we were staying in a hotel and couldn't take leftovers home with us, we settled with just being full instead of indulging to the state of miserable. It was absolutely delicious though and definitely recommended for anyone who's celiac and looking for a safe gf place to grab some not so casual eats in a relaxed chill environment.

BREW is an excellent gastropub and beer bar in Rotorua. We came here for great hot food on a cold night and were not disappointed. Rotorua has few breweries, one being Croucher. BREW is also their taproom, with the brewery itself not open to the public. We opted to sit inside because it was cold and rainy outside, even though the area was covered with heaters provided. We sat at a high top in the dark bar area and had Iki as our waiter. He was attentive and helpful with our questions. We ordered a few delicious options and shared: NZ beef sliders and lamb shank. It was just what the body needed. As this is technically a brewery, I tried everything I could. They had mainly Croucher beers on tap, with a few local guest taps. Their flight glasses were generous, the beer fantastic. Bartender Matthew was helpful discussing the brewery and beer with me as I enjoyed. We loved our visit.

Really great place! We are staying at the Novotel right down the street and came here for brunch. My husband got the brew breakfast plate and I got the chicken maple bacon pizza, it was all so delicious! Huge portions, great fast service, and the staff here is very nice. I highly recommend!

Sat down with my family who have just come over from the UK on holiday to a nice lunch at Brew. Was perfect for a hot summers day.

My husband and I stopped in here on our honeymoon. He wanted to try some local craft beer and I wanted some pizza! We both left happy and full. I had the Tangaroa pizza, which was topped with tons of tasty seafood, and a Rekorderlig strawberry and lime cider. My husband had the lamb shank, which he enjoyed (once he added a little extra salt). He also had a Croucher Galaxy IPA, which is so far his favorite beer on this trip. Our waitress was friendly and I dug the outdoor vibe along Eat Street. Prices were a bit high for food, but quite reasonable for drinks. Overall, we'd come back!

Pretty decent bar. Make reservations for holidays. Good number of beers on tap and bottle. Good for people watching on Eat Street.

A nice casual spot for a beer and dinner. They had a nice selection of local beers on tap. Pizza was tasty and a nice size (a little big for one person, actually). Scotch fillet was actually medium-rare and very tasty with the polenta. This seems like a great spot on the tourist restaurant strip of Rotorua.

Delicious burgers (veg and beef) - large portion size of jalapeño poppers. Great service - no problems customizing burgers a little. Live music not too obtrusive.

We had the cajun chicken burger and calamari. Both were definitely above average. I think I'd try the fish burger next time though. Good beer selection albeit pricey.

Casual easy going place. Service is great and friendly. Jerk chicken burger is good but could use some more heat. Pizzas are excellent. Pork belly is very nice. Craft beers are excellent. I'd give the beers 5 stars. Nice work Brew bar

The beer is fine, the food is slightly above average in quality but terribly bad on portion size. Entrees are snack sized. Service was good. I wouldn't recommend or come back

best beer selection in town featuring several taps and bottles as well from smaller kiwi craft breweries including a good handful from Croucher just down the way. servers are some of the friendlier in town and more attentive then most places here, but don't expect much. good kids and welcoming. food is decent pub grub, well portioned, average price for this touristy part of town. had the fish and chips one night, the sausage trio (which is indeed three different types - I assumed, but the menu didn't specify and I didn't ask) definitely be back if I find myself here again.

We found this place after turning up to another supposedly upmarket restaurant which was more of a case of false advertising. It's conveniently located on the "eat street", great atmosphere and top notch service. Good selection of seating options inside and out with a mixture of small and large tables. Menu has a good range of entree size tastiness, pizzas and main meals. The 12 hour braised pork belly is super tasty. Excellent place for just a casual crafty beer in the sun or a full meal.

While staying in Rotorua this was the best place to stop in for a pint after walking around all of the shops and sights. The beer here is hands down some of the best beer to be had in New Zealand. I wish they exported their brews! The food here wasn't too shabby either with excellent wood fired pizzas. I think over three days I stopped here at least three times. Don't miss this spot.

We came here for a really late lunch/early dinner after a full day of exploring Rotorua and its surroundings. I was quite possibly bordering on "hangry". So my wife wisely selected a place that also served beer. And they were pretty good beer, too. We got a flight so we could try a few NZ beers in one sitting. For food, we opted for the small plates, thinking they would indeed be Tapas size. They turned out to vary in size. We ended up with the Hand-cut Chips w/ Rosemary & Lemon Sea Salt (size L), Chorizo, Corn & Potato Croquettes with Aioli (size S), Grilled Halloumi w/ Roquette Pesto (size S), Pumpkin Soup of the Day w/ Garlic Bread (size L). The Hand-cut Chips needed more seasoning. The Croquettes were delicious. The Halloumi was our favorite, but how can you go wrong with cheese? And the Soup was perfect for the cooler weather we were experiencing. Service was a tad slow, but friendly. Overall, a good experience, and would recommend to those visiting Rotorua.

We went to Brew for lunch on a local friend's recommendation, and we had a great meal! Great service and a good selection of comfort food. Apparently the monthly beer club meeting is also good times. I had the Brew Dog, which was huge - pulled pork on a bratwurst with potato wedges. The pizzas also look tasty.

A good place to get a drink but the food wasn't very good. It's also super touristy. When we were there in early May almost everyone there was American.

Absolutely 5 stars! Cannot fault this place! The food was amazing and exactly what we wanted - delicious lamb shanks with mash and mushrooms and a rib eye on the bone also with mash, mushrooms and onion rings. Price was really good at about $56 for both meals and we had a sneaky drink as well on top of that. There was an awesome band playing called River Jesters and the atmosphere was happy and relaxed with everyone sitting around with a drink listening to the band. We arrived after 9pm and the kitchen was still serving which was a surprise too. It was a bit busy and we waited a few minutes to order but the food was fast and they brought drinks to us so we didn't have to line up at the bar. Did I mention they serve craft beers?!?! Well I had the cider which was great. Do yourself a favour and eat here or just have a drink.

The food was good, the service outstanding. We had the seafood plater and enjoyed it. We also had the pumpkin & tomato soup. The soup was okay, it was more tomato than pumpkin.

As noted in other reviews the beer is good here, although they were stocked out of choice #1 and ran out of another variety while I was eating. I had Croucher Lowrider IPA (a light beer from alcohol standpoint). Quite nice. For starters, a half-loaf of pilsner bread with herbed butter was excellent. More carbs than I needed but couldn't stop till it was done. Trio of Sausages was my main, incorporating three different sausage types, peas, mashed potato and gravy. Quite good and variety was better than three of the same. The problem was service. I noted many customers looking over their shoulders for staff. I expected typical pub service when sitting across from the bar: bartenders immediately offer you a drink, jump when you're ready to order, etc. Not so this day and it wasn't a busy night. Maybe the right plan is checking stock of your drink choice. If available find a table. If no server in five minutes or first choice drink unavailable, leave at earliest opportunity.

Great atmosphere. Tons of seating outside and a lovely staff that is happy to recommend. Be sure to sample some of the Croucher beers from Rotorua.

Went there for dinner on a Sunday night, great atmosphere had a young women playing live music and she was fantastic, the food and service was both excellent. Highly recommend checking it out

Fantastic service and food! We went in during a busy happy hour, and the waitress moved some reserved tables around to make sure we were seated quickly. Our food was great- bangers and mash (one lamb/rosemary, one pork/cranberry, one beef/onion/garlic) and fish and chips. Fun atmosphere and great service. Our water was never empty for long!
