Cute little place. Eclectic music, a little something for everyone. "Chalk board" picnic tables out side, some Adirondack chairs on the grass, two tops inside. We met family for a late breakfast/coffee Sunday morning. They were doing a steady business even at 11 a.m. on a sunny day when everyone should be at the beach!
We all had bagel sandwiches of some sort or another. Locally sourced eggs, NY style bagels. Everything was tasty...I had the Jackie O - everything bagel, egg, NY cheddar, caramelized onion & tomato slice. The only complaint - the tomato could not be called a slice by even the wildest stretch of imagination. It was paper thin, shaved even. A skilled, light hand on the mandolin, possibly. Was I disappointed? Definitely. Did I complain? No, they hopefully would've made it right if I had. Would I order it again? No, but that would not stop me from returning. The maple flavor was detectable in the bacon, everything was visually appealing.
One gal behind the counter was clearly experienced, friendly and skilled. The other gal - I'm going to chalk up to being new. A place like this needs both good food and good service as coffee & breakfast sandwiches are everywhere. The atmosphere is a bonus. The prices are not outrageous as indicated in other reviews, sure you're paying more than Dunkin' Donuts or McDonalds, but it's the whole package-quality food, comfortable setting and supporting small, local business.
