Super super cute! Loved hanging out with the goats while I waited (wasn’t a long wait at all) They ship in their bagels from NY, but if you’re from NY you’ll still be let down - it’s just never quite right, but that’s nothing new. They’d be better off with fresh bagels made here, but would still come back such a nice place!

Google
Where else can you drink your coffee sitting next to goats and chickens?!? This place was delicious and so cute! Loved it!

Kyle Madej

Google
The food was outstanding. I ordered the loaded potatoes and my wife ordered the Brewed breakfast sandwiches. The staff was also kind enough to make my 7 m/o daughter a scrambled egg which they typically don’t do, but I appreciated very much. Coffee was also hot, fresh, and tasty.

Google
We enjoyed a delicious (really delicious) breakfast bagel. The indoor seating was a bit tired. No bakery goods at all in the display. More dining in the back barn with large open doors and picnic tables. We will definitely go back.

Google
For a roadside breakfast it was top notch. If you're looking for a place to sit and eat I don't recommend. But if you're happy to take it to go you'll love it. We had the Dude and the Pesto breakfast sandwich with sausage added. And my Americano was also good. I'd go back for more blueberry lemonade which was super refreshing. Friendly service, good food, what more do you want?

Google
One of my favorite places in Wells Maine to eat a quick but quiet breakfast, or brunch. The coffeehouse itself is quaint and kitsch, with intimate seating. They've opened part of the barn for additional seating and I enjoy that new space. Food is large and extra stuffed bagel sandwiches, tea, coffee, and pastries. There's also goats and chickens on the property which is a fun addition. I look forward to seeing more of the barn, it'd be a great intimate event space or good for live music. The truck out front is an adorable photo opportunity.

Google
Sunny and quaint, pricey but delicious food. Tables, goats and chickens for kiddos, just across from the water. Great spot for summer mornings in Maine!

Google
This is one of the cutest breakfast places I’ve been to. The decor and color schemes are so satisfying and peaceful, the food is amazing and the coffee is delish. Highly recommend this place. :)

Yelp
Awesome! Long lines but worth the wait! This used to be a hidden gem...even the tourists are catching on!

Li K.

Yelp
Nice little spot for good coffee and fresh bagel sandwiches. The people are incredibly nice and the food was made fresh to order.

Kate F.

Yelp
They have goats and chickens. That's all you need to know if you have kids. My one year old was mesmerized by the goats and it kept her calm enough for all of us to eat our bagels. The bagels were delicious with fun fillings.

Yelp
Disappointing experience today. We have been customers for the last 5 years and have always had a positive experience. Attempted to place an online order several times without success, instead called Brewed Awakenings to place a phone order. I was quite rudely told by the woman who answered the phone that the online ordering system was easy and that other customers were not having issues. She refused to take my order over the phone. We will not be back.

Carolyn M.

Yelp
Loved the cranberry apple ginger iced tea. Had a breakfast sandwich as well, on a homemade English muffin , very good. Staff was friendly, cheerful and accomodating.

Kevin W.

Yelp
The place is so good. The two women working/taking orders were friendly and seemed to be truly invested in giving my family delicious food. We ordered a coffee cake muffin as an "appetizer" and it was gone within seconds. It was excellent. My kids loved it. I ordered a new item on the menu - The Dadwich (hot pastrami, grilled onions, egg, and cheese). It was AMAZING. I will think about this bagel sandwich for a looong time. Mt wife got the classic lox bagel which was also VERY good. Please check this place out for great coffee and high quality bagels/pastries.

Yelp
Y'all this is the perfect quaint and trendy Maine coffee shop that we all need in our life vacationing or not. I wanted to get a tad bit away from touristy Ogunquit, so I turned to Yelp and found this spot. So glad I did! I love coffee and I cannot do a morning without it, and I especially love cute coffee shops. The weather was perfect, so not having indoor space didn't phase me at all. I also didn't have time to sit and hang out but they had chalk and a bubble machine for the kiddos so that's always a win-win when you are a parent! I grabbed one of my kids and ordered a coffee, a breakfast sandwich, and a blueberry scone. I ate that all myself- don't judge- it's vacation . My latte was good. It doesn't stand out as anything exceptional or terrible but hits the spot. The breakfast sandwich was nothing short of amazing! The bagel they said was a NYC bagel- it was perfect amount of chewy. The bacon, egg and cheese were perfect as well. The gold star here though was the blueberry scone- and they said I bought the last one! Blueberries in Maine are so much better than back home, sweet in themselves. In Maine they don't have to overpower dishes with sugar because the blueberries are sweet enough. It was probably made with buttermilk and it was not too sweet, it was just perfection! So much so that I wanted my husband to taste this delicious scone- which was absolutely a highlight of my trip. We stopped by on our way out of town on a Wednesday to find them closed . We went to a coffee shop an hour or so away and it was awful so that's sad. Places in Maine have weird opening and closing days so don't be like me- check if it's open first! Lastly, there were little farm animals nearby and oh so cute! My daughter enjoyed seeing them.

Rachael G.

Yelp
Minus the unbelievably long wait (once to order and once to get the food - over an hour) it was perfect. And to be fair, long waits are expected in summer. The loaded potato was absolutely delicious. People were very friendly and the atmosphere was playful and comfortable. One recommendation is to get more tables or put an awning over the front tables.

Lesley H.

Yelp
Adorable little spot and the bagel breakfast sandwiches were AMAZING! would recommend to everyone. Service was top notch!

Stu U.

Yelp
Great coffee, if you're driving by it's definitely worth stopping. Friendly staff! And a clean restroom very much appreciated.

Kaitlin M.

Yelp
Ambiance, food, and service are all amazing here, but hours on Yelp is wrong and website does not have them listed.

Taals B.

Yelp
Love this place! They have been open for summer. The bagels are great, I usually (which means we have been here more than once) order the pumpernickel with an extra shmear! The owner has a little farmland right behind the shop that has goats and chicken. Kids love spending time around that place. The owner is very nice and they take the orders seriously, especially since we always have special requests like extra cream cheese, or no bacon etc. They are very friendly and will also let you in on farm news (we heard the goat gave birth to a kid - yes that is the actual word for a goat offspring!!) Definitely stop by for a bagel or more and the coffee can't be better either. The decor of the place puts you in a happy mood! It is a rude awakening(pun intended) but good rude ;)

Joseph P.

Yelp
Amazing food, lots of outdoor seating, a garden, goats, chickens, flowers. Beautiful area and delicious food! Staff were very nice and welcoming and service was very fast!

Alex C.

Yelp
Best scallion cream cheese I've ever had! Delicious breakfast sandwiches. A must try.

Jason L.

Yelp
One of our favorite breakfast gems in Maine. Wonderful place, with outdoor tables in the front and back of the restaurant. We sat at a cute picnic table in the front. Lots of different food and drink options. Our group had a mix of breakfast sandwiches and bagels. Bagels were fresh, toasty and very good. Eggs, sausage and bacon in "The Dude" shouldn't be passed up. Our drinks included a homemade strawberry lemonade that they recommended, that was great. Real pieces of strawberry and fresh lemon taste, just wonderful. We had to get a 2nd one before we left. I also had their Chai latte, very good too, could tell they made it with actual Chai tea, instead of a sugary mix. Very enjoyable. Staff/ owner was responsive and super nice, which just makes good food and drink taste better. Yelp claimed they were closed, but when we drove by they were open. So just check the hours on their website instead of Yelp.

Mark S.

Yelp
Can't speak on the food, but we ordered some drip coffee and a latte and honestly for roughly $8 and change we should have hit a gas station or McDonals and paid half the price. Drip coffee was super watery, tasted more like coffee water and the latte - I don't know what that was.

Roman A.

Yelp
Drove here based on the hours listed in Yelp. It's closed - maybe open seasonally only? Either way it's a bummer and wish the hours listed were correct.

Danielle C.

Yelp
Stopped by Brewed Awakenings today to snag breakfast. I didn't get a chance to snag a picture of my coffee - but it was perfect, fresh and drank prior to getting to my car. :) I did snag a picture of my to-go Poutine-O! Absolutely delicious and great portion! It took approx 10 mins for our food to come out and in the meantime we went down to say hello to the baby sheep and the chickens! :)

Nate J.

Yelp
Very friendly and the bagels are excellent. Sometimes a little inconsistent, but usually very good.

Melissa P.

Yelp
Pretty unsatisfactory experience. Placed a pickup order and arrived well before my pick up time but waited until my order said it would be ready. The barista told me and others they would call names out for pick up orders. 10-15 minutes AFTER my time I still had not gotten my name called while customers who walked up got their orders right away. Finally, 20 minutes after my pick up time, a different barista finally found my 5 coffees (ice either melted/hot coffees were cold) and informed me they thought I was waiting on food for some reason (which I was not) so that's why I was never given my order. Super frustrating experience to only have mediocre coffee. Wouldn't recommend placing a pick up order here if you plan to go.

Ray P.

Yelp
I stopped by twice based on hours posted online and was twice disappointed to find they were not open. Third time's a charm though and I was glad I had not given up. Friendly service, absolutely inviting and beautiful atmosphere between seating in the barn and multiple outdoor options among the gardens. Awesome goats :). The Americano I ordered was excellent as was the breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. Nicely done - will be back!!

Brian H.

Yelp
This place was absolutely amazing! Been coming up to Wells for 25 years and can't believe this is the first time I've tried it. A little long of a wait, but worth it.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
What a wonderful place! We're in town for the weekend and - natch - needed a place for coffee. Happened upon Brewed Awakening and boy are we glad we did! Coffee is delicious as is their Chai. The bagels smelled amazing but we didn't get any. They've done an AWESOME job making it a friendly, comfortable place to hang out. Lots of seating in different locations - in a renovated barn (really!), in a garden, on the front patio, inside... fun stuff for kiddos too - goats, chickens, corn hole... come visit this place now!

Jason M.

Yelp
So delicious. Friendly and great service too. Still my fav breakfast place in Wells. Tip - order ahead online (usually 30 mins) since there is usually a line from Memorial Day through Labor Day. I love the 'hot potato' breakfast.

Kim R.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick breakfast and couldn't have been more pleased. The owner and her mom were lovely, everything was clean and COVID-safe, the goats and chickens were a big hit, as were the chalkboard tables, and even our pup was comfortable and welcome. If you find yourself in the area, stop by for some good food in a wonderful setting.

Brian M.

Yelp
Terrific selection of good breakfast food. Their drink selection is plenty and diverse. The staff is very polite and professional. The simple ambiance works for relaxing and talking with who you are with.

Ellen F.

Yelp
Fun coastal and rustic ambiance. Coffee was awesome. As tourist we appreciate the fun vibe and great quality.

Jack C.

Yelp
Great coffee and great breakfast sandwiches. Lots of seats outdoors and inside a nicely refurbished old post and beam barn. There's also a goat pen and garden area. Very cool spot and the owner and her staff are great!!

Melanie D.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop with a surprisingly large breakfast menu. They have a pastry section but also a variety of bagel sandwiches and breakfast entrees. Service is quick and friendly and the iced coffee was delicious on a hot, humid summer morning. It's very kid friendly with outdoor picnic tables with chalk for drawing. This is a nice casual spot that offers good variety and a pleasant experience!

Ashley B.

Yelp
We usually go to Bagel caboose when we want Bagels but decided to try this place out and was NOT disappointed one bit! The coffee, bagels, cinnamon roll and strawberry lemonade was amazing!

Tricia L.

Yelp
Wow! A must go to when in Wells! New England charm matched with even better food and coffee. My party had the loaded potato, plain Jane, Thru the garden and a toasted everything bagel and we ALL enjoyed! As a New Yorker it's hard to find good bagels up here but brewed awakening has figured it out! Felt just like home. Cant wait to go back!!!

Boris B.

Yelp
When I travel I seek out coffee and cafes as fast ask I can. I was so unbelievably thrilled with this joint. The sign out front was a bit misleading. It did not say, come around to side to order. It had a large phone number printed and says call to order when arriving. But rest assured you can exit your vehicle and go round side to order. I decided to try the Maine Made bagel. Blueberry cream cheese smeared all over a blueberry bagel. It was my first bagel in probably 2 years, which means I had high hopes and deep expectations. I'd highly recommend that you ask for it toasted. That would have made the bagel 100 lit. The latte, well that was smooth and rich. Big flavors for a bold brew. Two thumbs and 1 big toe up for this joint.

Mat M.

Yelp
Great little local coffee shop! The guys working this morning were very friendly it was such a great way to start the day. They make a tremendous bagel sandwich and the espresso is the best around. Have to stop in here if you're rolling through Wells.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Such a great little spot! Got coffees that were fast and delicious, menu also looked great. They have goats and chicken and a little garden, kids loved waiting for our drinks and did not want to leave!

Zoe D.

Yelp
Cute little place. Eclectic music, a little something for everyone. "Chalk board" picnic tables out side, some Adirondack chairs on the grass, two tops inside. We met family for a late breakfast/coffee Sunday morning. They were doing a steady business even at 11 a.m. on a sunny day when everyone should be at the beach! We all had bagel sandwiches of some sort or another. Locally sourced eggs, NY style bagels. Everything was tasty...I had the Jackie O - everything bagel, egg, NY cheddar, caramelized onion & tomato slice. The only complaint - the tomato could not be called a slice by even the wildest stretch of imagination. It was paper thin, shaved even. A skilled, light hand on the mandolin, possibly. Was I disappointed? Definitely. Did I complain? No, they hopefully would've made it right if I had. Would I order it again? No, but that would not stop me from returning. The maple flavor was detectable in the bacon, everything was visually appealing. One gal behind the counter was clearly experienced, friendly and skilled. The other gal - I'm going to chalk up to being new. A place like this needs both good food and good service as coffee & breakfast sandwiches are everywhere. The atmosphere is a bonus. The prices are not outrageous as indicated in other reviews, sure you're paying more than Dunkin' Donuts or McDonalds, but it's the whole package-quality food, comfortable setting and supporting small, local business.

Joshua C.

Yelp
My partner and I randomly stopped in while out on errands. During COVID they have window service and it's service with a smile! The team member who took our order was very kind and thorough. Both of our breakfast sandwiches were well above expectations. I can't wait to go back!!!

Scott K.

Yelp
This place is such a gem. Service was excellent. Breakfast sandwiches were very good. And coffee was delicious. Very reasonable prices. Don't miss it if you are in Wells Maine.

Anna O.

Yelp
The staff at this spot truly has the sweet of Maine. Genuinely kind and peppy. The burning down the house breakfast sandwich was fresh and delicious on an English muffin. For my non-meat eaters this is a perfect breakfast sandwich. The iced mocha and iced americano were moderate is strength of coffee but well flavored. One of the best coffee spots and breakfast on the go places in Wells.

Stacy M.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite coffee shop around. Their iced americanos are better than many cafes in Boston. I love their coffee cake muffins - so delicious! The egg and cheese bagels are made to perfection. The New York bagel is fresh and doughy and the cheddar cheese is yummy. You can't go wrong coming here for a quick breakfast!

Kailey W.

Yelp
So good! If I could give this place more stars I would. Excellent staff, yummy food made quickly, and coffee that hits the spot. Atmosphere is cute and exactly what you'd like in a breakfast place!

Anthony F.

Yelp
Stopped by this place on my way back to the Portland area. Looked like a cool place to stop with a mint green antique truck out front. Went inside snd two very nice ladies helped me with answering questions. An awesome selection of breakfast sandwichs of which I tried burning down the house which include a farm fresh egg, cheddar cheese, tomato, guacamole, and sriracha aioli. It was absolutely delicious and the bagel seemed very very fresh. Also got ice coffee which tasted very good. They do accept credit card which was a plus. They also had a bunch of bakery goods that looked delicious but I did not indulge in. Over all this was a great experience and would highly recommend.

Michael K.

Yelp
Love it here. Been coming in for years. Coffee and Johnny the fisherman bagel are the best!

Nicky L.

Yelp
Great bagel breakfast sandwiches, delicious iced chai lattes and wonderful homemade strawberry lemonade!

Liz J.

Yelp
Bagel sandwiches were awesome! I woke up very hungry so I decided to go with the dude sandwich, which has two eggs instead of one, bacon, sausage patty, and cheese. I ended up taking off the sausage patty because it was just too much for me. It was also a tiny bit greasy. The rest of the sandwich was perfection, though. I got a hot vanilla latte which was perfect. The right amount of sweetness and foam. My husband got an iced coffee, which was very bland. Maybe the hot coffee has more of a kick! We will try next time. They have a nice sized menu with a lot of bagel options and baked goods that looked great. The atmosphere is great. Very hip and shabby chique. There is an outside seating area that is cute as well. It got a little crowded around 9:30, but still room to sit because most people are picking up. Overall, I would recommend this place for a good and quick breakfast. We will be back!

Kauai V.

Yelp
Excellent service, food and setup for covid-19 prevention. Would gladly return. They also have goats and chickens. Babies are adorable.

K. B.

Yelp
Great place to stop and get morning coffee before heading to the beach. I had a salted caramel iced coffee and a dirty chai iced latte, both were excellent. The decor is adorable. Four stars instead of five, because the employees seemed to lack an understanding of their products. I asked a couple of questions about the menu, and I didn't really get helpful answers.

H T.

Yelp
Really cute spot in a great location with the best bagels in Maine!!!! Loved their coffee and teal decor

Hm G.

Yelp
My friend and I were looking for a local place to grab an iced coffee. We found Brewed Awakenings online. Hours stated they were open until 2pm. We pulled into the parking lot at 1:02pm and we were told that they closed at 1pm. Unfriendly and non-customer oriented.

Brian F.

Yelp
This is a really nice shop. All of the drinks I have gotten were delicious. The service is really friendly. They are very nice people. Also, the baked goods are amazing here. On my last visit I heard people raving about how good their snacks were so I decided to try a muffin. I ate it there and liked it so much that ended up ordering another one.. yum!
