Brewer-Clifton Tasting Room

I had a wonderfully tasting experience outside with a group of 4 of us. We were the only ones in the tasting room and felt extremely safe. The wines are outstanding and I am so happy I was able to enjoy the Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs and come home with a bottle of the 3D Blanc de Blancs Sparkling Wine. I highly recommend this tasting room. Excellent service and wines! Cheers!

The wines and the service for our tasting far outweighs the ambience. Inside was simple but comfortable. The outside patio was just “ok”. Nonetheless the wines were so lovely we purchased a case to bring home.

I was lucky to get a spot here when it was completely empty! (They had just opened) All of the wines we tasted were fantastic. The tasting notes provided by the host were spot on. When you perfect something don't change anything. That is what this place has done. The seating area in the back was very cozy. It provided good shade during the sunny morning, but not so much shade it was hard to see (or cold). The only drawback to this place might be that it is not super accessible for handicap people as the back is gravel and the front is a staircase. That said, they may have other entrances that I did not see.

The Pinot Noir are so delicious and fruity. The staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend to come for a wonderful wine tasting.

I had a wonderful experience at the Brewer-Clifton tasting room. Martha and Christine were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wines that they were sharing. Greg Brewer has a sixth sense when it comes to his wine making decisions and has the guts to follow his instincts, resulting in thought provoking wines that make you question your precious assumptions about what you should or should not do with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Highly recommend!

It does not get any better for fans of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Greg Brewer’s style is elegant, classic, and timeless. Our hosts were amazing, shout out to Martha who made our day. Top of the heap in Santa Ynez wineries. Beautiful and comfortable tasting room. Six stars. Bravo!

I had high hopes and expectations for Brewer Clifton's tasting room and it exceeded them. The room is very comfortable and well-appointed. The flights come with helpful tasting notes. The staff are very friendly and also informative and really make the experience both fun and educating. And the wines really are great. We made the trip to Los Olivos first and foremost to try more Brewer Clifton wines. And then tasting helped us understand their style better as well as the range of wines that Greg Brewer makes. I'm really happy we went and hope to go back on a regular basis!

Walking into the tasting room with its beautiful understated decor was a great start. Our party of 6 had a choice of all red or a white/red mix for our tastings. The Pinot noirs were all excellent and I appreciated the selection of my Chardonnays ..Cassidy took great care of us..Brewer Clifton now on our must-visit list on our returns To Los Olivos

This was the best wine tasting on our trip. The Chardonnay and and the Pinots here were the best we tried. Definitely bought a couple of bottles. This place was very patient with us as we had a child and the patio worked perfectly. So glad I tried this place. I honestly would consider joining the wine club. Check this place out if your in the area. I definitely will go back.

Had a tasting right at 10am on a gloomy Sunday morning. You wouldn't know based on the experience that Cassidy and Blake gave us. They were so friendly, so engaging, and so knowledgeable. What a phenomenal way to start our excursion. Thank you both for your time!

The service is really good at Brewer-Clifton. We were introduced to the wine several years back in Lompoc. We have been a fan ever since. The pinot noirs are amazing and the 3D chardonnay top notch. The tasting room allows our small dog which is always a plus. The tasting is not hurried, the decor is nice, the couches comfortable.

Easily one of the finest wineries in the Santa Rita Hills area. Outstanding nationally recognized and highly rated wines. Exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and well educated staff. Reasonable tasting fees, especially considering the quality of the wine (waived with certain wine purchases). I was so impressed that I purchased a case during the tasting! They deliver. This is now one of my favorite wineries.

I have been buying and drinking Brewer Cliftin wines for years and was pleasantly surprised to find a tasting room in Los Olivos during our wine tasting trip. i had actually researched this winery before our trip and was under the impression that all tastings were by appointment only at the winery when we inadvertently stumbled across the tasting room in town which had been opened about a year ago. For those of you not aware of this wine, Brewer Clifton is a highly decorated winery receiving numerous 90 plus scores from Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Jeb Dunnoock .. etc where their top varietals are delicious Pinots and Chardonnay. The recent 2017 3D Chardonnay was just awarded 97+ from Dunnock is an indicator of how good their wine is. Needless to say, I had found my tue Nirvana in Los Olivos on this day. Relative to the tasting experience, At $25 it is a little bit steeper than other places in Los Olivos but the price is commiserate with the quality of the wine and worth every penny. Additionally on this day they were pouring a 2014 library of their aged wines that were absolutely at their peak and delicious. OMG, my luck was continuing on this day and if I hadn't drank so much wine I would have bought a lottery ticket. Relative to the staff they were super friendly, gave us extra pours, and extremely knowledgeable on their wines and vineyards which made the tasting so much more enjoyable. At the end of the tasting i ended up buying a case of the heralded 2017 Chardonnay and arranged for free shipping to Michigan and waiving of our tasting fee. This wine is on a mailing list only at present which again was a major stroke of luck to get my hands on this prized wine. Overall this was a wonderful experience and one I highly recommend. Whether you are into wine or not you will recognize quality when you taste it and you will enjoy the educational discussion over a delicious glass of wine. Five stars plus plus.

Had a great flight with David who explained a lot to us about the wines and the region. The wines were very good to boot and generally not available in stores. The tasting room itself is beautiful.

Fabulous tasting room experience! Immediately we were greeted and despite being 15 minutes early, our table was waiting for us. Hailey (sp I'm sorry!) was so knowledgeable not just about the wines, but the wine making process, the area and even other varietals to help us compare each glass. The wine itself was superb and it became instantly clear we would be leaving with bottles. We ended up splitting a large shipment within the group and are so excited for it to arrive! If you order a case+, your tastings are also waived... which was a really nice touch since I had prepaid to book our reservation. The tasting room is in the cutest little town and we enjoyed every minute of our experience.

Are you a Pinot wine lover? Then this is your place. Very inviting, clean place with great vibe. The wines are mineral tasting with good nose. They offer a variety of selections but they are all Pinots and whites. The hostess Hailey, was a delight. She was so flexible in accommodating us with our preferences. Very nice lady with good knowledge of the winery. Great quality Pinots. I am not a big Pinot fan but if you are it's worth visiting this place.

Great little tasting room in Los Olivos. I was a little hesitant to come here because of the unrefundable prepaid reservation, but it ended up being worth it. The service was outstanding. Our host was very attentive, and brought each tasting out right on time. My glass was never empty. We sat outside, and they have a great little patio. The inside area is nice too but we had kids with us so we opted for outside. The one thing I wasn't so impressed with was the wines themselves. These are very big, ripe wines. They definitely aren't for everybody. I originally came here because the wines are so highly rated and wanted to see what the fuss was about. If you like ripe and in your face, these wines are for you. If you want restraint and finesse, then not so much. I even let our host know these weren't really my style of wine and he was very understanding. He even gave us some great recommendations for other tasting rooms in town that served wines in a style we might like. I probably won't be back because the wines aren't my cup of tea but I did have a great experience here.

Simple, yet beautiful decor in an inviting space was my first impression. Of course, the warm and inviting aesthetics are quickly forgotten, as the very best thing is the superb wines created by Greg Brewer for so many years. If you want the best Pinot Noirs from Santa Rita Hills, look no further than B-C. Cheers! RS

I've truly enjoyed Brewer Clifton wines and was very excited to bring my friend in for a tasting and have her experience the wines and hear all about them as she is a wine lover like myself. While the wines we tasted were excellent, as always, the "tasting room experience" was the disappointing part; the server brought us each wine and merely mentioned, for example, that the wine being served was a Pinot Noir and may have said the vintage. There were no mentions about the winery, history, winemakers, owners, stories of terroir etc that we experienced at other tastings. One might think this would be due to an overly busy server but there was only one other small group being attended to by another server. Would love to have given 5 stars, but for $70 for the two of us, it's a 3 :(

Great tasting room amidst the 40+ options in Los Olivos. Why you ask? Well, the wines speak for themselves and the service was super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Brewer Clifton specializes in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills AVA and the winemaker Greg Brewer has been knocking it out of the park for years. What I love most about the portfolio is it's range. Some wines are Burgundian in style while others teeter on new world styles. Nothing is over the top, shows beautiful restraint and probably because of the neutral oak program. Boo ya. Dog friendly, clean bathrooms and an inviting space. Check this place out while tasting, you won't regret it.

I really love the Pinot here, so delicious and refined. The tasting room setup out back was very comfortable and the staff wanted to ensure our comfort given that it was a bit breezy. I really liked the tasting room staff, they were warm and knowledgeable.

Just had the most amazing experience tasting and talking. Hailey was with us while we tasted. She was knowledgeable, friendly and a delight. I highly recommend stopping in for a some great wine and ask for Halley.

Amazing wines only beaten by amazing hospitality from Laney. We were walk-ins and she treated us like VIPs. The only thing I'd change is being able to tip with a Credit Card. We had no cash and wanted to take care of Laney.

Amazing pinots. You can't go wrong if you're looking for pinot. Kate was so informative and nice!
