This is a beautiful venue with history behind it, which in my opinion is the only reason to come here - because the food is a joke. I specifically asked if the mushroom soup was homemade, because of bad experiences at other restaurants, and they said it was. But when it arrived... it was obviously instant dry soup. Yet the waiter kept insisting it was homemade, even when I showed him the blocks of badly mixed powder in the soup.
It's one thing to overcharge for cheap supermarket processed food, but at least be honest about it, don't try to fool your customers.
At least the waiter offered to bring me a new dish since I was not happy. But that the least he could do, really.
