Brewster by the Sea was superb, and Amy was a phenomenally accommodating host. The Beach Blossom room was cozy and charming, and even though the weather was preposterously hot during our visit, our room easily maintained a comfortable climate. The on-site pool was relaxing, and the breakfast was not to be believed! In particular, the orange zest French toast tasted like something from a dream. Amy herself, too, was kind and so helpful! She provided us with all sorts of tips for activities, and communicating with her via text was a breeze. If we find ourselves back in Brewster, we'll almost certainly try to stay with Amy again!

Google
Brewster By The Sea is a charming and peaceful place to stay. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. Amy, the owner and innkeeper, is incredibly friendly and personable, ensuring that all our needs were met throughout our visit. Each breakfast was not only delicious but also very satisfying. If you’re looking for a quiet and quaint getaway, I highly recommend Brewster By The Sea.

Google
Enjoyed another wonderful stay at Brewster by the Sea. This is our go to place in Brewster and we have never been disappointed with the wonderful rooms, delicious and very creative breakfasts, and exceptional hospitality of Amy our innkeeper. Amy can’t do enough to ensure that every guest is comfortable and all their needs are satisfied. The Refugio Suite is one of the nicest rooms at any B&B that we have stayed in, although all the rooms at Brewster by the Sea are beautiful as well. We are already looking forward to our next visit!!!

Brewster By The Sea is a small inn, perfect for a quiet uncrowded adult getaway. The grounds are calming and beautiful, featuring a salt-water pool, and plenty of welcoming seating areas. Amy, the innkeeper, is a gracious host who provides a delicious breakfast each morning. She and her staff ensure that the inn's 4 king-bed rooms are clean, welcoming, and comfortable, featuring her own Sonoma Wool Company products in the bedding. We look forward to our return!

Brewster by the Sea is a gem. The inn is beautiful and in the perfect location. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and had all the amenities that anyone would need. The owner Amy is amazing. She made the most delicious breakfasts we have ever had. We would highly recommend this beautiful Inn for anyone’s vacation. We can’t wait to go back.

Right from the very beginning receiving a video to watch the contactless check-in, as well as a tour of the beautiful inn, i knew we were in for a treat. Amy was able to greet us when we pulled in, but we felt familiar with where we were going and what we had to do because of the great video. Without question, our room was one of the nicest ones we ever stayed in. Clean, spacious, and comfortable, seems like an understatement. We didn’t have the urge to whisper like we do in some places we’ve stayed. Breakfast was tasty and accommodating to vegetarians. Overall, could not be happier

Google
Genuinely outstanding. The property is beautiful, our room was clean, and Amy's homemade breakfasts were so delicious that we looked forward to waking up early, even on vacation. Everything about our stay was perfect—my highest recommendation.

We enjoyed another wonderful spring stay at Brewster by the Sea. Accomodations, location and creative, delicious breakfasts can not be praised enough. Each time we stay I resolve to take pictures of the orange brioche french toast, or eggs caprese with a drizzle of balsamic, but by the time I remember my plate is clean! Best of all is our hostess Amy, owner of the Inn, and ever considerate, thoughtful and mindful of her guests. We will return.

Yelp
If I were allowed, I would give Amy and her charming inn ten stars. This lovely bed and breakfast checks every box for those looking for hospitality, comfort, friendship and the most welcoming, inviting and enthusiastic assistance in finding your way in gorgeous Cape Cod. I'd also add that I've never in all my years stayed at such an immaculate inn. The bedding was exceptional and after composing this review I will make my way over to the Sonoma Wool Company website (what Amy does in her spare time-LOL) to order the luxurious wool pillows we were lucky enough to sleep on. Breakfast is a delicious daily treat, which we were fortunate enough to have each morning poolside, amid the gorgeous gardens on the inn's grounds.

Yelp
This was a great stop in Cape Cod we stayed here for one night and the experience was great. The room that we booked was upstairs and super clean! We went for our anniversary and they had a slice of cake for us waiting in our room which was great! The main bed and breakfast area has the owners dog who is so friendly! I would definitely book this again and try a different room.

Yelp
This nice little bed & breakfast has lots of high points and perhaps a couple of low ones. We booked the Refugio Suite and it was very large and very comfortable. The bedroom features an oversized California King bed, a desk and chair, television and lounge chair with ottoman. Beautiful French double doors lead to one of the loveliest features of the room which is a private deck with chairs. The living room has a delightful fireplace, comfortable sofa and another television. There is also a tastefuly done little kitchenette which was stocked with dishes and glassware as well as a mini fridge. And off the living room is the attractive bathroom stocked with toiletries and comfortable robes. Right outside our room was a Flavia coffee and tea maker as well as another refrigerator with complimentary creamer, soda and bottled water. The table in our bedroom also had a complimentary decanter of sherry and two scrumptious chocolate truffles were left on our pillows each evening. Although most of the inn's rooms are in a separate building a few steps away, breakfast is served each morning in the main house and in the company of Harrison, the inn's resident and well behaved Labradoodle. An afternoon sweet treat of cake or cookies is also provided in the main house and there's always a bowl of chocolates if you need a sweet to tide you over. We had the bad luck to not have the inn-keepers, Donna and Byron, in residence during most of our stay as they'd suffered a death in the family and were out of state. However, they'd left clear instruction with their staff about our arrival and we were warmly greeted and welcomed. During our stay, the staff was quick to answer questions about the area and to provide restaurant recommendations. The room itself also contained a lot of information about local attractions and restaurants. The night before our last day we came back to our room to find a complimentary bottle of champagne and note from the innkeepers with their sincere regrets for having been away during our stay. That was a very nice touch and was greatly appreciated. On the down side, we actually didn't think much of the breakfasts as they were largely flavorless and frequently included microwaved bacon. We wondered if the food suffered due to Donna's absence because she was billed as the cook. Both Donna and Byron were back on our last morning and it was Donna who prepared our breakfast that day. The food did improve under her stewardship but we'd still say it compared poorly to other B&B's we've visited. Our room, though lovely, did have some oddities. All the plumbing fixtures were installed backwards so that all handles turned in an atypical direction and the shower pipe was loose which restricted some of the water pressure. The impression was that the work had not been professionally done. In the bedroom, the bed was oddly situated with one side far too close to the wall despite more than ample room on the other side. It made it uncomfortable for the person sleeping on that side to get in and out of bed. Finally, we do have somewhat of a pet peeve with inn-keepers who advertise suites, which should be two separate rooms divided by a door, even though the room does not meet that criteria. In this case, the only separation between the bedroom and living room was a screen. Nevertheless, the inn was quite nice and Donna and Byron were charming hosts who had trained their staff well. Brewster is located mid-Cape and convenient for day trips to Hyannis and Provincetown which makes this a good choice for a place to stay and there are some lovely beaches right by the inn. Overall we enjoyed our stay on Cape Cod very much.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for 7 nights at the end of Sept/beginning of October 2018. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and our 2nd wedding anniversary. The Loft was the only room left when I booked the reservation just 3 weeks before our arrival. We enjoyed the privacy and peace and quiet of our accommodation very much. It was on the 2nd floor of the main house and at the top of some pretty steep stairs (be forewarned!) The innkeeper, Amy, was a delight to chat with and kept us well fed. Breakfast never tasted so good! Indoor dining as well as outdoor dining was available. And in the afternoon, there was always a home baked treat in the lobby. Very nice that there was a coffee/tea bar available to wash it all down. The weather was not warm enough for swimming, but the pool was still open and was nicely landscaped. Highly recommend this establishment for anyone who wants to explore all areas of the Cape.

Yelp
My husband and I just enjoyed a wonderful elopement at Brewster by the Sea! We both wanted a private and stress free--yet still special--wedding. Brewster by the Sea was just the answer. The innkeepers, Donna and Byron, assisted with planning everything. Essentially, I called them, told them what I wanted in terms of room accommodations, flowers, a cake, etc. and they made all it all happen! They referred us to two officiants, and allowed us to choose who we would be more comfortable with and also referred me to a local salon for hair and makeup. We paid a fee to Brewster by the Sea for all the services, which made planning the wedding so easy. The room we stayed in was lovely--modern, comfortable and very clean. The in ground pool was a great spot to relax, and the breakfasts were delicious. The B&B is super close to a beautiful beach, too. Donna and Byron were so sweet to us and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone looking to spend some time on the Cape.

Yelp
We were very pleased with our November visit. We came to re-coop after a family wedding in the area and it was perfect. Donna and Byron are attentive without being intrusive. Breakfast was great. The convenience of self-help tea and coffee service in both buildings was welcome, as well as the afternoon tea service in the dining room with freshly baked cookies. One delightful aspect of the property are all of the private corners of the gardens. There are many places to curl up with a book and without the company of other guests. The central location provides easy access to anywhere you want to go on the cape.

Yelp
Can't say enough! The Labor day weekend brought us to our second stay at Brewster By The Sea. The hospitality is genuine and the inn keepers welcome you into their home with open arms, warm cookies and freshly made lemonade. The room was warm and cozy and everything you would want in your own home, without the hassle. I am sure we will be back!

Yelp
Amy and her staff provide a welcoming setting at this beautiful, charming Cape Cod B&B. The welcome packet insures any questions you may have regarding what you may want to do are answered. Amy's knowledge of the area helped point us in the right direct each day of our stay. Breakfast was an amazing delight and the afternoon treats after a fun day of exploring the area were a treat. We were away from the hustle and bustle of the 'ocean' side of the Cape which was just what we wanted. Our first visit to the area but not our last. A wonderful getaway!

Yelp
A friendly and gracious owner and staff provide a welcoming setting at this charming and romantic Cape Cod B&B. Scrumptious breakfast and yummy afternoon treats ensure you are well nourished for beach going and exploring.

Yelp
If I could give 6,7, or 8 stars I would. My wife and I came here for our 10 year anniversary/vow renewal ceremony and could not have been more pleased. Every single accommodation was top notch, and we wish we could have stayed longer; my wife teared up when we left. First, the B&B itself: First class, high-end and luxurious. The owners/hosts are the nicest, sweetest most attentive couple you could ever ask for in a B&B. Byron is avuncular to the 10th power, and Donna is as talented in the kitchen as she is personable. Every morning a 2-course gourmet breakfast was served. The first course was expertly prepared fruit that was as healthy and tasty as it was beautifully presented. The 2nd course was either some sort of ridiculously delicious pancake/waffle or a chef-inspired protein dish (e.g., a frittata with garden fresh squash and sun dried tomatoes). Both came with either scrumptious bacon or savory maple sausage. Everything came with fresh-squeezed juice and fantastic coffee. In the afternoon, there was always satisfyingly tasty baked goods available with coffee, tea or lemonade. The patio where breakfast was served was perfect. One night my wife and I got food to go from a good restaurant and decided to take it to the patio to eat instead of in our room, and of course Byron and Donna provided us plates, silverware and napkins without even being asked to do so. Seriously, they are the nicest, coolest hosts ever. The room was wonderful. Nothing like a generic hotel room. Felt like you were staying at a guest house of a rich family member. The bed was huge, the linens were super-comfy and the bathroom was immaculately clean. The vow-renewal ceremony: For a variety of reasons, when my wife and I got married, it was not the dream situation most women would want. So for our ten-year anniversary we decided to go all out for just ourselves. My wife got the money wedding dress, I bought a new, fine suit and we had selected the Silver package, which included endless photography, hair and make up for my wife, plus flowers and a bouquet. Everything was PERFECT. The day before the ceremony Byron drove us to 3 different possible locations, giving us the history and snapping pics of us the entire time. We selected Pains Creek for the ceremony, which was beautiful. The day of the ceremony, the woman who did my wife's hair (Nicole), showed up on time, and made my wife look absolutely stunning. When we were ready to go, Byron drove us down there, took everything to the site, while we waited in the car in the cool air-conditioning. Then as we walked to the spot, Byron snapped dozens of pictures. When we got to the site, highlighted by the Cape Code beach rocks, our minister -Faith Lavender- was there waiting for us. She delivered a sincerely romantic and special speech, then my wife and I recited our renewal vows the whole time the tripod camera Byron set up is recording everything, and he's simultaneaoulsy snapping pictures. It was awesome. Afterwards we took more pictures, and then went to dinner at a terrific Italian restaurant named Buca's at the recommendation of Donna. B&B provided us with a gift certificate to the restaurant and also changed our reservations at the last second for us. (Buca's will be reviewed separately - 5 stars). The next day we had to ourselves, and of course Byron and Donna were there whenever we needed them for anything. This was one of the best vacations we've ever had, and we will never, ever forget the time we spent at Brewster By the Sea, and will never forget how charming, hospitable and "like family" our hosts Donna and Byron were. I can't imagine a better B&B existing anywhere on Cape Code or anywhere else.

Yelp
Brewster by the Sea was amazing. 1000 count sheets on top of an amazing bed. The owners cook you a 2 course breakfast every morning that consists of some sort of fresh fruit as on of the courses. They are also spot on with their food recommendations and beaches to walk at low tide and sunset.

Brian M.

Yelp
Words can't describe how wonderful this experience was for me and my gf on vacation. This is our first bed and breakfast stay and everything was perfect. The breakfast in the morning to the cookies on the counter. Perfect location to stay if you're in the Cape!

Mike W.

Yelp
Our stay at Brewster By The Sea was 5 stars. Donna and Byron were excellent hosts and very responsive to our every need and request. My gluten allergy did not faze Donna in the least. She went all out to create special gluten free breakfasts and afternoon treats every day, yummy! The accommodations were fresh and very comfortable and the grounds were lovely. We typically stay in high end resorts and the inn was definitely high end, with a personal touch!

Yelp
Close your eyes and picture an idyllic Cape Cod B&B. Then picture an amazingly gracious and helpful proprietor. Nice try. This is better. The only possible negative thing that I can think of is that the photos on the website do not do justice to the coziness and hospitable surroundings.

Lori L.

Yelp
Amazing stay! I wish I could have spent more time at the inn! Super clean room, with flowers , chocolate and wonderful lavender to bring home! The bed was super comfortable, the room had everything we needed, including a magnifying mirror in bathroom, which might not sound like much, until you need to put on makeup without glasses! No detail was overlooked. The breakfast's were amazing , 3 course meal. All was a perfect "I want to take the chef home with me "meals. I never thought I was a bed and breakfast type person, in the past , my preference was large hotel, with not to much contact. This place totally changed my view. The rooms are in a separate building from the residence of the inn keepers, so you did not feel like you were in someone's house you did not know. A plus for me. I had a facial and massage, which was beyond relaxing! Both expertly done! With the end result ,getting rid of a days long headache, and glowing skin. I can't think of a downside to staying here . Great little town and shopping , central and easy to get to all major Cape Cod destinations. Thanks for a great stay!

Yelp
On historic Route 6A is the lovely Brewster by the Sea Bed and Breakfast Inn located in Brewster, MA on Cape Cod. The owner and innkeeper offers gracious hospitality with three-course breakfasts, fireplaces, and elegantly decorated rooms with exquisite linens and most comfortable bed. The inn's location makes this a perfect Cape Cod get-away centrally positioned to visit and explore other key destinations such as Provincetown, Chatham and Hyannis. We have stayed here in both early Spring and late Summer. The rooms are immaculate and the staff is very friendly. The fireplace in our room in the cooler month was extremely relaxing. The past stay in summer was a delight to enjoy the patio pool (which is now redesigned to rejuvenating salt water). Can't say enough about the amenities here such as the chef prepared daily breakfast which is outstanding, Other options and packages are available e.g., spa services. The lovely rooms are clearly defined on the website for making a choice for rooms or suites. Truly...Nothing compares to Brewster by the Sea.

Yelp
My husband and I have not been able to stop talking about our experience. He and I decided to elope on The Cape and are thrilled that we found our perfect place. Donna was in touch with me prior to our arrival to discuss details of our wedding vision, the perfect cake and flowers...and she took care of EVERYTHING before we arrived. She arranged that Faith Lavender would officiate our ceremony and Faith made sure that every detail was covered. Elizabeth met us upon arrival and was so sweet and knowledgeable. Showing us around and was ALWAYS available for anything! Byron...well he just set my nerves at ease throughout our visit. The day prior to our wedding day he drove us to beautiful settings for casual pictures as well as to several beaches to choose our perfect spot. Donna, Byron and Elizabeth went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect for us. And it was!!!!!! Our wedding was stress-free and perfect. The accommodations are stunningly beautiful. We will celebrate every single one of our Anniversary's here. We cannot say enough about our stay. Perfect from start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Just went to Brewster By The Sea on Sat for a couples massage. One word - Awesome!. They have a great area to get a massage - 2 very professional massage tables in a nice quiet room (or any type of spa treatment). My wife and I did the couples massage. Very relaxing and the masseuses were perfect. Not too hard and not too soft with the deep tissue layer massage. We both felt very relaxed for the rest of the evening. We will definitely go again this summer. I know you can get almost any type of spa treatment here, so we will have to see what is next for us!!

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Brewster By the Sea, formerly Brewster Farmhouse Inn, was a great romantic spot to spend the weekend. The rooms were individualized, quaint, and comfortable. The food prepared by the innkeepers was gourmet and very filling. Breakfast, sadly, is only served from 8-10 AM; If you can get yourself out of bed its worth it. Guys: its a great way to score some browny points. Enjoy!

Yelp
I booked a one night stay through Hotels.com after doing quite a bit of research with online reviews and the Sea Inn website. We booked the luxury suite because I wanted the extra space with my father being with me and my 4 year old son. We were very excited about this short stay because I grew up in Westchester County, NY but spent summers in Brewster because my parents owned a house there until I was 17. On the drive up the owner, Amy Chesnut, sent me a text message to ask about the name of the other guests staying with me. I gave her the name of my father and son. She replied back shortly stating that their B&B is ADULTS ONLY!! On no partner website or even their own B&B website does it state anything to do with their facility being Adults Only. You can imagine the disappointment finding this out so last minute and the bad conversation that commenced after. After I did my best to stay calm and explain the situation it still resulted in Amy saying that she is refusing services to us and suggested another local B&B. We actually ended up staying in a great family suite at Brewster Old Sea Pines and I already have another family vacation planned there this summer. I cannot say enough good things about the service from Michelle/Steve at Old Sea Pines and how much of that great Cape Cod feel their B&B delivers. Opposite unfortunately for what I would say about Amy Chesnut at Brewster by the Sea!

Yelp
Donna and Byron were great. They were very friendly and helpful, both with the reservation process, and during our stay there. The room was beautiful and well decorated (Sea Breeze, or something like that). My wife and I had a great time there, although we stayed for just one very cold night so didn't explore anything outside our room all that much. The rooms are not all in one building, so we had to go out in the cold to get to breakfast in the main building, the only downside. Breakfast was leisurely and delicious, served in the main room, which they have somehow managed to make feel both spacious and cozy.
