"Romantic Sleigh Ride at Lake Louise There’s something romantic about a horse-drawn sleigh ride, but it’s even more special when it traces the shores of historic Lake Louise. Imagine snuggling beneath a fleece blanket on an old-fashioned sleigh as two mighty horses pull you away from Chateau Lake Louise and into such pristine wilderness that it’s protected both by Banff National Park and as a Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage site. The one-hour journey takes in stunning views of the Victoria Glacier, sculpted ice waterfalls, and, of course, Lake Louise. The season runs from mid-December until mid-April, snow depending. It’s recommended to make reservations in advance, particularly on special occasions like holidays or Valentine’s Day. Tours run hourly, from 1pm until 8pm."

This was one of the most, if not the most, special experiences that my wife and I had during our mini-Honeymoon trip to Banff. I have loved and worked with horses for much of my life and have a special love for draft horses. To dress up in our warm winter clothes, snuggle up and enjoy the spectacular views on a horse-drawn sled was pure magic. The experience is not cheap but we were able to go after being gifted some honeymoon "adventure money" from family and friends. We were pretty choosy about what we did on our holiday and I am so happy that this was one of the things we chose. It was romantic, exciting, beautiful and luxurious. The sun was shining, it wasn't too cold and our guide was a ton of fun. Giving local history and facts about the area. All of the staff, from the folks who helped us with the booking, to the driver / guide to the hotel staff were patient, kind and accommodating. Well done Brewsters! Lake Louise is not to be missed anyway, but to experience it this way was an incredible gift. If you can, definitely treat yourself to this adventure.

Did the full day ride with Johanna, the views were spectacular and she was amazing! Would do it again! I would recommend only experienced riders only because 7 hours in the saddle is more than some people realize, but for experienced riders this is a once in a lifetime ride!

Our trip out west has been full of incredible experiences but our 2 hour ride to Lake Louise Lakehead was truly spectacular and the highlight of our trip. It was my husband, myself and our two kids (aged 11 and 13). None of us has ridden a horse before but the trail is pretty flat and our guide, Jenna, was excellent. An incredible way to take in the beauty of the lake and mountains. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience with the horse sleigh ride. It is 1 hour tour. The staffs are very helpful and organized. Each seat fits with two adults and one child. Good for small family as well as large groups. The tickets are available in the lower lobby of Fairmont chateau Lake Louise. Earlier booking is highly recommended.

Did the Lake Agnes Tea House ride in June. Nicole the guide was awesome. Knew her stuff, kept the group informed and together, and made it a wonderful experience - especially for our 9-year-old first time rider. Helmets are provided for those who want them, though they’re mandatory for riders under 18.

I had a wonderful time on the 4 hour Plain of Six Glaciers trail ride. The views are breathtaking making this a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide, Joe, was great, he was calm and friendly throughout. Although I rode lots when I was younger, I haven't ridden in a few years and never Western style and so I was a little apprehensive. Fortunately, I felt comfortable throughout the ride and my horse, Billy, was a star. Though the trail is at a walking pace, the terrain on this trail once you get past the lakeside is quite challenging, with some very steep passages and loose rocks. The horses handle it expertly but I would only advise the 4 hour trail ride for people with riding experience. Highly recommend 👍
