Why 5 stars? Because as simple as it was, it might have been our most memorable eating experience in Munich.

This kind of reminded me of the Auntie Anne's of Germany, but oh-so much better. With that statement, you'd probably assume that their pretzels are amazing, but honestly, I prefer Auntie Anne's. The pretzel here was fine, but AA's is the ultimate comfort food, IMO. The star of the show were the potatoes.
Potatoes mashed right in front of you with sour cream and cheese. We could have added even more toppings, but that's all my wife wanted. It was absolutely amazing and perfect. As I write this review, I'm regretting not going back here for round two before we left.
The reason I compared it to Auntie Anne's despite having vastly different pretzels is because it was in a small kiosk in the train station, and looked like the kind of place that would be anywhere that kiosks exist.
This was the first place we visited after getting to Munich, so we had a bit of culture shock when realizing that not everyone who worked here spoke English. There was one person behind the counter who did, and she was very friendly/helpful!
