I have been a guitar player for more than 50 years and have had my Sonus guitar chair for about 6 months. Every time I practice I am amazed at how comfortable the chair is. It fits me (and my guitars) perfectly. I find it stabilizes my playing posture in a comfortable way that makes playing more relaxed and accurate. Time also tends to fly when I practice now. I didn't really expect all that. What I really wanted from the chair was less back strain and more playing comfort. It delivered both of those in spades and makes playing the guitar something I look forward to even more. It's expensive, but in my opinion, EASILY worth it. And it's also a beautiful work of art.

As a woodworking enthusiast, I decided to take a tour of the workshop yesterday afternoon. I was expecting to see a lot of expertly crafted furniture, tight fitting joints, and beautiful pieces of wood.  What I wasn't expecting was the cleverness and ingenuity Brian and his team display in the design of the manufacturing fixtures and machinery.  It is clear to me that the artistry of Brian's team extends well beyond the furniture itself. I would highly recommend the tour for anyone interested in furniture, woodworking, or small manufacturing. And if nothing else, you get to experience the furniture in person, the website simply can't capture the reality of the pieces nor can you experience the comfort of the chairs through pictures.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Brian's designs are truly special. His attention to detail is exquisite. Taking a tour of the facility, you come to understand all that goes into making his wonderful pieces of art - and his furniture really is art. Highly recommend taking the time to visit while in Asheville.

I have had my Sonus chair for 2 months now . Its a wonderful chair..Improves my posture with very little effort on my part. And as result I feel or hear better tone coming out of my acoustic guitar.. plus I am playing longer ...the chair is wonderful on the eyes you see it and you just want to sit down and play..Wonderful people at Boggs very patient and joy to work with. all the best!

Brian generously gave a presentation and a tour of his shop to our woodworking hobby group. Gave us a lookback at his journey to create and own a successful business that combines not only beautiful wood, and intricate joinery, but also amazing engineering skills, to produce the most comfortable wooden chair I've ever sat upon!

We had purchased an end table from a crafts person at one of the Berea Kentucky craft fairs. We figured we'd get one at a time, based upon their price. However, when we went to get another one, he was no longer exhibiting. Then we remembered Brian's absolutely stunning works of art.. yes, they're functional, but they're heirloom quality. Our 2 tables are gorgeous and actually are better made than the table we purchased years ago from that unknown crafts person at the Berea Crafts Fair. Brian is a gifted... gifted... gifted furniture maker, artisan, heirloom creator... choose your pick! barb thompson (richmond, KY)

Visiting Asheville, North Carolina, from out of town, we wandered into the Boggs' showroom on a rainy weekday afternoon. I dabble in woodwork and wanted to see a Boggs' chairs in person. I think Melanie and Brian were wrapping up their day; but, they welcomed us graciously and paid us a generous amount of attention, guiding us through the showroom and answering many questions. Brian even allowed us a peak into his work space and explained details of materials, process, and tools. We should all have the experience of sitting in a fine and proper chair, the kind that the Boggs' make. We should all also own such a piece of craftsmanship, art, engineering, and comfort. But until you do, at least visit the show room when in Asheville--even if it's raining. (Oh, and skip the new computer purchase next time and buy a nice chair!)

Brian Boggs gave a presentation and shop tour for our woodworking group. I was impressed by Brian's passion for chair design and manufacture and the skill with which he and his staff produce true works of furniture art.
