The room is very well appointed and spacious. The stairs are narrow as noted before. No service to the room for my 3 night stay, but water bottles at the door daily. Coffee maker was good, no microwave. My complaint was the noise. The A/C unit was so loud that if it came on, I could not hear the television. Also until early morning the sound of glass bottles into the metal trash from the alley (entry to the hotel) was continual and loud. The Location in the North End (little Italy) was fine. Many, many restaurants and bars, ALL Italian. Good food, but no variety.

Management and staff are mainly helpful and great. The location is spot on, lots of restaurants, bars and bakeries along Hanover Street. As said before, no elevator but staff help with suitcases. The last people who used our room left the safe door closed, management were unable to help. The taps in the bathroom were faulty and dispersed only luke warm water at a very slow rate BUT the big turn-off is the noise. All day and night loud noise from a generator or machine from within the building. It was mentioned to a member of staff who stated many people complained about it but, obviously, management turn a blind eye (or ear) to it. We travelled on a ferry out of Boston, my wife agreed with me that the boat's enginge noise was similar. Such a shame, it really lets the facility down.

Excellent location and service. Can be quite noisy with the restaurant extractor fans and traffic, but didn’t keep us awake. Very much enjoyed our stay, great pensione rooms.

I stayed with a friend and her almost 2 year old in a 2 bedroom suite for week. Like the other traveller's reviews, There is no elevator, so we literally got our steps in. However, the waiters were always willing to help. The only issue is there was a slight language barrier, and it did feel a bit odd having to pass through the busy restaurant everytime we came back. However, the location was amazing, the food at Mare was delicious. And I would definitely go back for a couples trip.

We loved the welcome we received. The room was beautiful, the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Great location in the North End. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it's a walk-up with steep narrow stairs and noise from the street. The staff was accommodating with assisting with the luggage. It is not necessarily a good place for seniors or those with mobility issues. Not sure if they have a first floor room. If they do I would definitely go again.

We stayed a couple nights at Bricco Suites and can't wait to come back!! It was in the perfect location. Food everywhere you looked - easy walk to subway - easy walk to the older, touristy parts of town. Nice to have room to spread out in, and not just a single room.||Just to be aware...we were on the 3rd floor. As others have stated, there are no elevators - just steep, windy stairs. Some may not like it. Check In is in the restaurant, but easy peasy. ||Only change that would make it even more perfect - coffee maker! We appreciated the tea offerings, but coffee would have been nice. But I guess we just got more exercise making an early morning coffee run, lol!

Positive: The location and friendly staff. Negative: We would have enjoyed a better view as our room was on the backside of the street; however we didn?t hear street noise, which was very nice.

the night before our stay i called and was told somebody would be available to help us at 9. we came at 8:50 and found the place empty and received no help. finally a worker took our bags and said we could check in at 3. we weren’t checked in until almost 4. we were unaware that we’d be staying in a building a block away from the check in point. i was staying with my elderly grandma in a 3rd floor walk up above a restaurant. we were also right next to a major highway and recieved no accommodation by the staff. loved the north end and would come again but stay somewhere with better service and accommodations.
