Jackie was our waitress and she was amazing! The food was delicious! The specialty drinks were so good! We will be back soon.

This is one of my new favorite places to eat. The service, food and atmosphere all very good. My husband and I have been there 3 times within 3 months. The Big Ruben delicious. I would also recommend the scallop Po Boy, Autumn harvest salad, Carne Asada. Honestly myself and the people we have went there with all liked our meals every time. The only thing that I didn't like was the pasta salad. I absolutely love this place ❤️ 👍🏻👍🏻

Google
Wonderful, this was my first visit to Brick Works but I would definitely go back. The menu selection was great but the food…..over the top! Whoever runs the kitchen knows what they are doing. They even got me on a homemade pumpkin cheesecake that was fabulous! This place is a must try for everyone. Please keep up the good work

Google
I order nachos everywhere I go. I can honestly say these are the best ones I've ever had in my entire life. Stefan agrees! And the desert!!! Chocolate pretzel stout cake with chocolate pretzel stout ice cream. Definitely will return.

This restaurant and customer service was pretty decent. They food was overall good, but my wings were slightly overcooked, and the fried pickels were salty. The Calamari was delicious, tho. Nice place to watch the game on Sunday or go for a happy hour.

Google
This was my first time here. They have a great menu and the service was fantastic. The black bean burger was tasty but it fell apart. More like a black bean sloppy joe. The brisket and blue cheese spring rolls were delicious. My pecan pie is better. Good selection of beers and we ordered a flight but I felt they were all watered down. Overall a good experience.

I haven't been to this place in years but went for taco Tuesday and got the fried pickles. The fried pickles were amazing. The waiter was very kind and knowledge on the menu but when my tacos came out there was literally once piece of steak on my taco.

Google
Everything I tasted at the table was amazing! I ordered cream of crab soup for an appetizer, and I could tell it was handmade and someone put some love into it. Lumps of crab 🦀! I ordered the brisket sandwich and once it arrived, it was a glistening mound of delectable, pull-apart meat, topped with a unique and wonderful jalapeno apple 🍏 slaw which gave off just the right amount of heat. The brisket didn’t need additional sauce, as it was cooked to perfection! Additionally, I ordered the Planetary Pollination and I couldn’t stop saying “mmm”. Definitely will return! The place has it down!

Yelp
Got the chance to grab a quick lunch on a Saturday, and enjoyed our time quite a bit. The beers were solid, and there was a nice selection. Went with the black-n-bleu burger as a recommendation from our excellent server, and it was excellent. Fries weren't that hot, but otherwise all was great. Menu looked like it had lots of other good choices - will absolutely be back and enjoy again. Thanks!

Yelp
Love going to Brickworks, and now is a great time to visit them! It's the start of fall and they always put on terrific specials celebrating Oktoberfest. Service is always good and friendly servers. We had a humongous pretzel served fresh and hot served with a nice ground mustard, beer cheese, and cinnamon butter. Delicious! I ordered the schnitzel special and it was excellent. The pork was thin and tender and not overly breaded. Excellent red cabbage and tender spaetzle. A nice drizzle on top of the schnitzel rounded out the entree. Of course they have not only their own brewed beers but guest beer from other local breweries. Accommodations are nice with seating inside, in the bar area, or outside in a nice patio area. Perfect for enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Try Brickworks if you're in the area. Ih, and they have a loyalty program you can save a little if you come back!

Yelp
More of a restaurant look and feel than a brewery, and the place was split up with multiple rooms. The outdoor patio was a cute little area with comfy chairs and nice string lights. Jess K was our server. She was nice, but not super attentive, she really only came over to take our order, bring our food, and bring our check. The food was just ok, drink reviews are on Untappd. We came on Taco Tuesday! Pickled cabbage, pico, queso fresco, chipotle aioli on all the tacos. The prices of each are: $3 chicken. Beef. Portabella. $4 brisket. Pork. Fried avocado. $5 shrimp. Steak. Cod. I do not like the pickled cabbage flavor at all on any of the tacos. It's kinda a weird flavor, I picked the bigger chunks off. It would be better if they replaced it with a slaw. I tried the chicken, brisket, fried avocado, and cod. Chicken 7/10 Fourth favorite. Little dry. Wish it was shredded and not in a large strip. The end of her chicken was so crispy, it had a crunch to it. Brisket 7/10 Third favorite. Good flavor on the brisket but a little dry. Fried Avocado 8/10 Great avocado flavor. Really good. Maybe my favorite one. Fish Tacos 8/10 Second favorite. Was battered and fried. Juicy cook on the Cod. Idk why this was much spicier than the rest of them, but it was so good. Pork belly Cuban 7/10 Dry sandwich. The bread is poking my gums, little hard and crunchy.. the flavor was basically just meat and roll. There is pulled pork and pork belly, which I wasn't expecting. You can taste the pork belly well. The cheese is basically melted to a crisp, so you couldn't taste it at all, it blended in with the crunchy roll. Basically needs some more of everything though... ham, cheese, pickle and definitely more mustard. Jalapeño apple slaw 8/10 Vinagery. Little sweet from the apple. Not too spicy. Not a bad slaw. Smoked Gouda griller Had a pretty long strand of hair in it. We all watched him pull it out of his sandwich, it was pretty disgusting. He didn't want to be rude so he just picked it out and kept eating it instead of sending it back.

Yelp
The warm scallop salad is on the menu for me. Scallops and Brussels sprouts are my favourites. I have not seen this combo anywhere. I came on a Thursday night during happy hour. The bar is busy but not packed. Bartender was very nice. I stopped by earlier during the month with my puppy since the place is dog friendly. Unfortunately the patio is closed in winter so we had to turn around. Just be aware dog parents...

Yelp
The fact they owned up to their mistake and got me to go back is worthy of updating review. We all make mistakes. We all have bad days. Which is good for me because I love good beer and good food and they have both. Had 2 different beers and enjoyed both. I got seafood gumbo appetizer. Very good and hearty but you better like it spicy as I do to enjoy. Got crab cake which was awesome. Girlfriend got Ruben on Sourdough which was truly excellent. Fries are just how I like too. Good service, good beer and good food. I will be back.

Yelp
Food and service are always great here. We always feel welcome and love the variety of food and drink choices. The restaurant is always clean and it has a nice community feel. We usually run into people that we know here so it seems there are a lot of people in the community that share our views!

Yelp
For a small state, Delaware sure has numerous micro-brew to try out. This one being located in Smyrna, a bit further down south than the hustle and bustle of Wilmington. Their menu is pretty diverse as it offers typical pub food, as well as a bit more refined comfort food. Beer flights are available if you can't decide which brew to try out. Good atmosphere to spend with family or friends. Staff are friendly, and efficient in their service. Entrees taste great, and the portions were large. We will definitely be back to try other entrees that we didn't order. For some reason, our to-go dessert took a long time to come out. Perhaps some communication error in the kitchen and the wait staff. Overall, a good experience to dine and relax.

Yelp
I wasn't impressed. And this is my 2nd time back in like 2 yrs. Why? Waitress: she wasn't fully attentive. Never cleared our appetizer plates from our table. Took forever to get my sister's beer. She had to get another las to get her attention. The place was hardly busy. My food: the wings were overcooked. The street corn was a lil much...too much sauce on it. And my burger was meh. I just picked it apart an ate at the tasteless meat. The beer: out of the flight that my sister n I split...I didn't really like any of them. I got the "summer Shandy" like beer instead.

Yelp
Hit up this restaurant on way home from Bethany Beach. To set the stage, the restaurant had three sections, main dining area, bar dining and huge temp controlled sunroom. Main dining closed with chairs on top of tables, sunroom empty and bar dining had 2 seated tables and 6-8 ppl dining at bar. Miserable experience...showed up at 1:50pm, sign said wait to be seated, no one showed up, went to bartender, kitchen manager came out and said sorry as they just cut hostess. Seated in sunroom, great atmosphere, temp-controlled with a big screen with Olympics on, so a good setup for my family of 5 (10, 7 & 4). Server was terrible, she came out after we were seated for 8-10 mins, seemed disinterested, took our drink order and returned in a semi-timely manner. She then fell off the rails, this is a place that puts in the order electronically at the table, which could work well, but not when the waitress doesn't seem familiar how to navigate, we ordered apps, including fried pickles, Nashville hot wings, Bavarian pretzel and bacon wrapped dates. Apps took 30-45 mins to be delivered, didn't see waitress once or anyone else for that matter the entire time...Kids drinks empty for 1/2 the stretch...luckily Olympics were on. Apps came out, the good were the wings and fried pickles, bad was stale pretzels with chunky/crappy dipping sauce, and the ugly was stuffed dates burnt to a crisp, which no restaurant on this planet with a clue would send to a table. As I'm saying that the dates looked burnt the waitress was gone, and that meant no drinks for kids would continue. 15-20 mins later waitress shows up at table to drop entrees. I told her the bacon dates were burnt, she agreed and grabbed them and took off. Came back 10 mins later. I asked her why everything took so long. She seemed confused, I reaffirmed that everything from the start was taking an unacceptable amount of time and especially given we had 3 young kids and since their restaurant is empty. She then argued that the restaurant was busy, I kid you not, I said we walked by 2 empty dining rooms and 2 tables in bar area. She said bar area was now full and even sitting main dining room and kitchen doing their best to catch up on tickets. This was crazy for a few reasons, we were 3rd table sat in an empty restaurant therefore whoever arrived after us shouldn't matter when it comes to the kitchen and most importantly when we walked out of restaurant after we finished there were still no tables in huge sunroom, no tables sat in main (she lied) and 3 tables in bar area (less than half-lied again). Why argue to begin with, but especially since the restaurant totally botched it and we'll see with our eyes that she's lying.... I told her to get refills for all drinks and honey mustard for the chicken tenders that 2 of my kids wouldn't eat without it and had been waiting for 10 mins. She returned quickly with what I asked for, but then disappeared for 20 mins, which was 10 mins too long because kids were over it and we needed out. We paid and I tipped 15% (3rd time in adult life) instead of typical 20-25%. My theory....we sat near a glass door in the sunroom that accessed the back of the restaurant where the kitchen access was to the outside. During the 1.5 hours we were there, I saw multiple culinary staff coming and going from outside, including same ppl multiple times, the "manager" being one of them. So, I think ppl were screwing around instead of working and the waitress mailed it in unbelievably so because the restaurant lacks in leadership, training and culture, but probably blames the available workforce and unreasonable patron expectations, instead of looking inward and fixing glaring flaws. My kids wanted to go to Dairy Queen...they are wise beyond their years. Good luck BrickWorthless.

Yelp
Service was not good. Drinks were never refilled. Asked our waitress for sweetener and she never brought it. Salsa was in a cup the size of salad dressing on the side and consisted of chopped tomatoes and some kind of acid. Definitely not what you could call salsa. Shrimp appetizer was very different than described on the menu and not good. Sandwich and burger were good but that would not be enough to ever make me go back.

Yelp
Love this place! Amazing food, friendly and attentive service, great atmosphere! I love the Citrus Mistress wheat beer. Haven't had a bad meal yet.

Yelp
The Brussel sprouts are fire! Yum! Had a great lunch on my visit. Staff was kind and attentive. I also ordered the chicken sandwich which didn't meet the hype but it was ok. I'd need to come back one night to try some beer!

Yelp
SO GOOD! We were in the area over the holiday weekend and this is a Smyrna gem. My friends and I were so impressed with the menu. They have the classics - hamburgers, pasta, etc. but also so many of their items are new takes on classic items. There was something for everyone here. The Brussel sprout salad with scallops was our favorite along with the potato salad. The folks here were kind, happy to answer any questions we had and were quick. It was an extremely hot weekend and we sat outside in their closed air conditioned space and it was awesome. It was like we were outdoors because of all the glass but with none of the heat or bugs. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area and recommend it to anyone!

Yelp
Overall decent food and good service! Great spot for a casual date night - nothing serious, but still fun!

Yelp
Expensive for no reason. The Mac and cheese I ordered was not something I would go for again. The waitress was not very attentive. The atmosphere was stuffy.

Yelp
Walk in to brickworks. No one in there except us. We ask to sit at the bar. We asked for a growler of beer. Sorry we don't have any. We ask for Jameson. Sorry we don't have Jameson. Ok how about Jack Daniels? Yes, we have Jack Daniels. OK good. Can I have a Jack Daniels and Gingerale?. Oh sorry we don't have Gingerale either. We walked out. Don't even bother going there. It's pathetic. What kind of bar doesn't have a growler to put beer in, Jameson whiskey, and ginger ale? May as well just close your doors now.

Tom L.

Yelp
Just ate at Brick Works , my wife and I left stuffed. For an appetizer we got the jerk wings and the crab and artichoke dip. Both were very delicious. The dip came with pretzels, didn't know how it would be but it went together very well. The in-house made chips were delicious also. For our entrees I got the Megatron burger, with a fried egg and scrapple, delicious. I thought the food was pricey at first but then I tasted the food. Definitely worth every penny. My wife got the pub burger, also delicious. Glad to see that we have a place that has good food in our area, because I don't do fast food burgers at all. For the price of that crap just go get a REAL burger at Brick Works. We will be returning to try something new, good food good atmosphere staff very friendly, best place in Smyrna.

Yelp
I went on a Friday afternoon to have dinner and what a crappy experience. My waitress forgot about the beer I ordered and only remembered once I asked another employee. She then proceeded to charge the regular price for the beer even though I ordered it at 5:15 (happy hour ended at 5:30) but since the waitress "forgot", she didn't put the order in until 5:40. She then proceeds to bring me a semi cold beer. Doesn't apologize for forgetting or anything. Then the food- I ordered the carne asada and it was terrible. I mean the steak was ok but the rice, beans and pico de gallo tasted all manufactured. The picked onions looked grey and the jalapeños looked fake. The waitress never came back to see how we were doing but just asked if we needed anything else. I was super disappointed and will not be returning

Yelp
The food was great, the service was very subpar, some of the worst we have experienced. Not good at all. We waited a good five minutes to be seated, when I finally looked around the corner to see if anyone was there, the employee was taking photos of her nails. After we were seated, and drinks arrived, our waitress explained she forgot her notepad (or whatever she called it) and she would be back in just a minute, it was over 15 minutes before she returned. After ordering, our meals took an extremely long time to arrive, the waitress did not come back one time to check to see if we needed anything else or to see if everything was okay, before or after our food arrived. Two things about the waitress: She never apologized or explained the delays, and she did not crack a smile or presented herself in any way other than we were a bother. We were traveling thru the area, and thought the restaurant looked presentable from the outside, that is why we stopped. The food was amazing, the service not so much.

Yelp
Great food, fantastic service and the patio is beautiful! Definitely will return. One of the best brew pubs in Delaware!

Nick T.

Yelp
Awesome as always!!!!! Get the Buffalo flatbread. No regrets!!!! Great beer. Great service and worth the wait.

Yelp
The vibe is amazing and the patio is a cute place to hangout and eat however it was a hot day and it was sweltering hot with no breeze. Aside from the temperature, the food was superb. They seemed to be understaffed as our waitress seemed to be tending to all the tables outside. We waited awhile to order our drinks and appetizers but the food was delicious. Sadly they were out of the pulled pork but I would come back to try it!

Adriane D.

Yelp
I went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was extremely pleasant. The food was delicious. The staff was great and I would go back.

Yelp
We were stuck in the car for 5 hours driving home from OBX with 4 kids...so needless to say, we needed alcohol...and we should probably feed our kids too. We never heard of this place, but definitely got lucky with this one. The beer was very good and not overpriced. The food was excellent with generous portions. I got the firecracker burger which had just the right amount of heat to make me sweat without being overbearing. My wife had the vegetarian black bean burger which she loved. she doesn't eat a lot of meat, so finding a restaurant that actually makes their vegetarian burger is hard to find. That was definitely a plus! The kids ate from the kids menu and were actually quiet for 7 minute...it was like a date night with my wife. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was for two reasons... 1) We ate outside which was nice, but the amount of flies that were all over our food and table got out of hand. 2) the vegetarian black bean burger gave my wife so much gas, that it ruined my night. Oh, and be on the lookout for the drunk octopus in the restroom that wanted to fight me. (See pic)

Michael S.

Yelp
Very diverse beer selection and a menu of amped up food choices. Attentive and helpful staff. Industrial vibe. Reasonable prices.
google avatar

Louise F.

Yelp
The restaurant was not open yet, but my friend and I had each traveled quite a distance to meet there. They welcomed us in anyway and we had a great meal. Their hospitality was over the top and food delicious.

Yelp
Stopped for lunch during a road trip. It was the first time I was here. Great little spot with a cool menu. We ordered a beer flight with some fun y beers, the brisket and blue cheese spring rolls, a black bean burger, and chocolate pecan pie for dessert. The beers were OK but seemed a little watered down. I loved the spring rolls the black bean burger was good but it fell apart so it was more like a sloppy Joe. The pecan pie was good but mine is better. The service was fantastic and it was an overall good experience.

Mia D.

Yelp
food is always great, sometimes service not as much, atmosphere is very relaxing and good for families. We do enjoy going here.

Roger G.

Yelp
The food was absolutely fantastic, flavorful and came out piping hot. We had French Onion soup, blackened salmon, a cheeseburger, brussel sprouts and key lime pie. Our server was Carrie and she made our visit and more pleasurable.
google avatar

Paige H.

Yelp
Have been a couple times for my kid's fundraiser, the service is hit or miss and the food occasionally takes longer than you can find at other local restaurants. The open kitchen is a great design choice but can easily hear chef's frustration and kills the vibe. The food is good though if delivered fresh and a nice change from the other local options.

Yelp
We heard that this is a great place to go. Food was not up to our expectation, I don't know if I go back here. It was a decent atmosphere. We heard this place is really good, we went out with our friends for a double date night. The atmosphere was nice, the people look like they were having fun, and we were as well. We got our food at all look good the Mac daddy macaroni and cheese, Look like it was a little dull. We then I'll look that up soon and they kind a look lifeless, especially because I got the fire cracker burger. All of the food came out ice cold. We were very upset about it but you know like everybody else no one wanted to say anything. One of our friends just ate the food. We then let the waiter know the manager came out, he just took all our food back without verifying that it was even cold. I understand the Covid and stuff but how would he know how cold it was. I think bringing a thermometer or something would have been helpful. We had the fire cracker burger, Mac daddy, carne Asada, in the short ribs grilled cheese. I can't really tell you how the food was, we kind of got worried that they might mess with it as we are very frustrated. We've been waiting to go to this place for so long but, we are so upset. We also had the strawberry field lemonade, a flight of beers, and Brickhouse punch. The drinks were fine so we ordered more. The atmosphere was nice spacious lotta people look like they were having fun. It was just such a dark cloud after we got our food, we're actually sent it back and left without eating. One of our friends took their food home. It was very awkward and Made things very weird between us and our friends. I don't know if we go back to this place, the manager was kind of nonchalant. They said they took off the food which they did but somehow the checks were still expensive as heck. We just paid and left. We overheard some workers say it's very stressful, when we went to the bathroom. It seem like people are just running around, trying to get everything together as far as food.
google avatar

Patti K.

Yelp
Excellent food, great service! Menu is diversified. Cocktails are just ok. Definitely worth trying

Wil T.

Yelp
We went there about a year ago, had our infant with us, we discussed with the person seating us what would work for us and they were okay with it. Another host came over with other guests and loudly stated that the seating arrangement wasn't going to work despite another staff member telling us it was okay. It was pretty embarrassing and the way the second staff member approached us was very rude. We left without eating, will not return.

Yelp
Saturday night. Long Island was ALL lemon. Loaded nachos had no aioli but all sour cream. Brisket rolls cold and greasy. What happened? Used to go often to this place. Turned off.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
My favorite local spot! Their Cesar salad with grilled salmon and truffle fries on the side is my go-to! Excellent service every time and even when we order via doordash the food is just as good. Super cute inside too!

Debra F.

Yelp
Service was below average and food has gone down since they opened up. Food was just bad and taste less.

T.L. W.

Yelp
The food and service were amazing! You may have wait a few minutes during the rush to get your order in, but the servers are all considerate, communicate and keep you up to date on your order.... And every bite is worth the wait!!!! 100% recommend and we will return soon
google avatar

Tony B.

Yelp
Great place for lunch or dinner. Must try is the Shrimp and Grits, like everyone else, they have their own take on it, but it is freaking fantastic. Also the Mac and Cheese dish was great as well.
google avatar

Brad H.

Yelp
Good selection of beers. The stout was amazing. Staff was attentive without being overbearing. Wife had the Schnitz, which was very good. I had the signature ribs which were outstanding. Portions were huge. Prices reasonable. Several interesting desserts available. Would definitely return.
google avatar

Sharon M.

Yelp
I have to say I've avoided coming here since my son graduated from FSMA 3 years ago as the food was over salted. We came back with friends and was pleasantly surprised. The waitstaff was a bit confused as to had out table. Only reason for 4 stars.

Yelp
Came here on Monday... clean spotless gastropub meets big small town charm. It was slow when we came in though fun to just chill and catch up with my friend who brought us that I haven't seen in 6 years... we each had two beers and two samples and chatted over chips and guac... I hate being that difficult friend or out of towner so didn't really look at the food too hard... I'd imagine in a state like Delaware a vegan is like seeing ghost... well maybe not that rare... more of us coming out of the wind all over... but I get it... can't go wrong with fries either. If I come back next visit I'll give the kitchen a chance. Stephen (I think that's your name or hope so)... the charming guy behind the bar who helped/served us... was super nice and easy going... one of those people who can just go with the vibe or scene and manage to brighten your day with a cheerful smile, humor or genuine conversation. He checked up on us whenever he could as we were the only ones on the bar side. It seems like even when this place is busy everyone is very attentive and helpful. Brick Works has a decent selection of house stuff and a more than okay bar selection of things beyond craft brew. Honestly if I new what they could due vegetarian (possibly vegan) I'd probably give them 5 stars after I tried it. Until next time...

Sameeka R.

Yelp
The food and the environment is dope! Everything is made from scratch and the head chef is the absolute best!

Yelp

Yelp
Came here Friday night and the wait was about 40 mins. They first tried to sit us at the bar which was fine when we were hungry but there wasn't a seat when we walked over there...very confusing. We finally got a table and sat down. We ordered the brisket nacho appetizer, my friend got the burger and I got the shrimp and grits. Our waitress was attentive at first but then after awhile didn't return to fill our glasses for awhile. Nachos had REALLY salty tortilla chips, the beer cheese was weird tasting but the brisket was good. My shrimp and grits was interesting. I never had sweet pepper grits before. It was good but not a big fan of it. The shrimp and the pork belly in it though was amazing ! My friend liked her burger as well but she requested specifically no pink but there was still alittle pink in her burger. Food needs some work but it's a promising place. Have to come back to try some beers !

Bruce A.

Yelp
I order the Hot Pastrami sub with fries and my wife had the Big Reuben with potato salad, we also had Hush Puppies for an appetizer. The Hush Puppies tasted like they came out of a frozen food box and place in a oven to warm, but that wasn't the main thing, my fries came out cold, and my server was told and brought me another order of fries, this order was like they have a bunch of fries made from the day before and they just placed it into an oven or microwave to heat up. Fries should not be that hard to do, you don't give a customer old cold fries then when you give them another order you just warm up a stale batch of fries and expect that they will enjoy them. I think that if you want your customers to be happy you need to place yourself in their place and realize that if it doesn't look appetizing to put on a plate that you should not place it on a plate and working in a kitchen with food you need to have certain standards for yourself and your company. I would never eat here again, I can understand a bad night but this was a bad kitchen nightmare. Only good thing was our server was nice and attentive.

Yelp
I ate at Brick Works on the way home from the beach with family. We have unvaccinated children in the group and try to be COVID safe, so we chose Brick Works based on their large patio. It smelled absolutely awful. Just outside the fence on one side was an overflowing dog waste container, roasting in the midday sun. On another side was the restaurant's dumpster. We informed staff of the smelly dog waste, and they told us that there is also a sewage treatment plant next door, which could be the root cause of the smell. It got better after they removed the dog waste, but wasn't completely better. It's tough to enjoy food when you're smelling that. My salad was decent, but the experience was ruined by all the gross smells.

Yelp
Great little pub. 4 of us went and all were happy with their meal. Yummy craft beers selection and you can sample them which was great. They also have something called a flight which is a larger version of the samples. Got the brisket nachos(5), I got the cheeseburger(5) hubby got the pork snitzle Sandwich (4), my son the Bandit chicken sammie(3.5), and his GF got the beef brisket sandwich (5). Apple slaw (5) French fries were fresh cut and supper yummy. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere was nice too.

Yelp
Good, but please fix the coleslaw recipe..... Food: I went with the Brisket Sandwich....definitely ate the whole thing. So good. The slow-cooked brisket was very juicy and flavorful. Sandwich was not soggy, bun had a golden toast. I ordered the fresh cut fries, which is additional. However, where the sandwich fell short is the coleslaw. I'm sorry, it just needs revamping.... like really BAD. It's dry, and has a bitter taste, it looks like lettuce with a greenish tint. And to make matters worse, the slaw by itself is just inedible.... My Mom couldn't eat her order and I took most of it off the sandwich. Disappointing because there was no coolness of the slaw to offset the tangyness of the bbq sauce. It just taste like crunchy lettuce. The Gidgit drink special was the bomb though. Service: Our waitress Nikki was very friendly and personable. She was super busy but still greeted us pleasantly and was attentive of our needs. They also text you when your table is ready....although the host just came and got us. Venue/Décor: The place looks bigger on the outside. They have the bar side and a dine-in side with an open kitchen. Dining is also outside as well. The color scheme and a view of the brewer is a nice touch, but it has somewhat of a divey/informal feel. As I was looking at the open kitchen, there is a large Pepsi refrigerator smack in the middle of the kitchen and a receipt machine with wires hanging over the counter. Didn't view the restrooms. ***Also we got the chance to try a potential vegetarian dish that was delicious! Not sure if Dover/Smyrna's clientele may appreciate it. But I think this place has a lot of potential to grow*** Would definitely return.

Yelp
After a nice night walk on the beach, we were craving a cold beer and nachos. Brick Works was the perfect stop! Only a few minutes from Woodland Beach, Brick Works provided us the service and nourishment we needed. The waitress was patient as we tried the various beers, which are brewed in house and recommended the Nacho Mama platter. The platter had delicious toppings and was so large we needed a to-go box.
