Super delicious!! Awesome place!! Service was very kind and efficient. Food was out of this world! We had the Elk Bolognese, Venison, Polenta starter - all were exceptional! Also had several of their cocktails and they were great too! So good, in fact, that we made a reservation for the very next night!! :)

Google
We enjoyed everything about this restaurant! The lamb meatball appetizer and the braised short ribs were absolutely delicious 🤤 The short ribs melted in your mouth. We enjoyed our cocktails and dessert as well. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back soon!

We stayed in Ouray for a week and this is by far the best restaurant in town. It may be a bit on the pricy side but it was amazing. Everyone looks so happy to be at work, friendly with each other and the atmosphere reflected that. We went 2 nights in a row, almost a 3rd. 100/10 recommend.

Google
Very nice little steakhouse with classic elegant cuisine and friendly staff. You can make reservations but they were still able to seat us with no notice. They don't have mocktails on the menu but our bartender did an excellent job of making one for us. We got the elk Bolognese and rabbit fettuccine this go around and both were very good. Will have to try the steak next time! Great dessert menu as well, the toffee carrot cake was delicious.

Google
Absolutely enjoyed our dinner here. Food is delicious. We had the elk and rabbit pastas. The food is prepared well with quality ingredients and had nice flavors. We enjoyed our experience being served by DeAna. She is friendly and helpful with her suggestions for our orders & drinks. She offered us to sample the wines just to ensure it was right for our liking. Thanks DeAna for making our Ouray dinner extra fun and special! Your friends from Los Angeles

Google
We sat upstairs on the rail and it was nice to people watch. The bolognese was delicious and the short ribs were very tender and perfectly cooked. We also had a cheesecake which I forgot to take a pic of but it was also delicious. Our server was also amazing. Glad we stopped in for dinner

The building was cool and we got set immediately. They took us down a dark hall up to a table where the floors were constantly vibrating. It was strange. I liked the decor and my server was nice so that was good. I saw at the bottom of the menu a bunch of disclaimers about we add this we add that .. and I saw something that I had not seen before. Something about we add 3% for the kitchen staffs living comfortably. I don’t know. I think you should pay them a good wage as their BOSS and not put that on the customer that supports your business. As a previous service professional for over 15 years I have to say it’s disgraceful. The prices were not even cheap so I don’t know what is going on there. The food was okay and the portions were fair. It was a popular place definitely but tacking on fees to the customer is in fact, tacky. So if you want to just throw all you’re money at these people, have fun.

Expensive, but worth it. There is a s'more dessert you can toast yourself if you're looking for something unique!

Yelp
Honestly the best food and restaurant in Ouray. It's a nice fancier spot to check out if you don't want burgers and the other bar foods on Main Street. We didn't have reservations but we were able to get seated upstairs towards the back next to the bar. It was a beautiful view since we were able to look outside of the streets. They had a special menu when we visited but all the food were 10/10! Oysters (4 pieces)- clean sweet and plump, added with yuzu and vinaigrette Elk bolognese- very good, meaty, and tasty! Lobster pasta- flavorful, a bit on the sweeter side Short ribs-they were nice to be able to add foie goie from our request. It balanced it out so well with carrots and broccolini Drinks were also crafted well and a good break from me drinking beer all week.

Yelp
Was in Ouray for a couple of days to do some off roading. Food is always important to my wife and I and after doing some research we decided to have diner here. Great choice to dine at. Started with a cocktail and appreciated the breadth of their short menu list. I chose the "Corpse Reviver Number Two which is an old time classic and almost never seen on modern menus while my wife had a nice glass of Prosecco with hibiscus flower syrup. Both were perfectly chilled, well balanced and very enjoyable. For starters my wife choose the Farmer's Greens salad (beets, strawberries, quinoa and feta with a white balsamic vinaigrette while I went with the burrata appetizer (heirloom tomato jam, olive oil & basil poached cherry tomatoes, grilled roasted garlic bread). Both the salad and the app had great flavor and were also beautifully plated. As we ate quite late in the evening were focused on food and not photos, so, alas no pictures. Foe the main dishes my wife went with the Elk Bolognese (pappardelle pasta, rosemary mascarpone sauce with elk) while I had a hankering for red meat and went classic style with Steak and Fries (hanger steak, sautéed spinach, black garlic butter). Again, both dishes were very flavorful cooked perfectly (ordered medium rare and got exactly that) and delivered quite promptly. Overall, a really solid meal, and the next time we come back to Ouray we will have this on our must eat list of places to go to.

Yelp
Wowza! What a gem BrickHouse 737 is. Especially given its location in the Colorado mountains amongst endless basic pub food options. By the time we entered BrickHouse, we had been hopping from small town to town in Colorado for about a week. We had grown tired of fried food and bored of burgers. We were already excited by the variety of options on Brickhouse's menu before entering the restaurant. Then, upon trying the food, everything exceeded our expectations. We started with the roasted root vegetables. I must say, I have never enjoyed root vegetables, but particularly carrots, so much! The sauce and seasoning were truly spectacular. We also had the palisade peach bruschetta. Of course palisade peaches are already excellent, but I was impressed at BrickHouse's ability to make a combination sweet/savory dish so satisfying. This dish is a MUST if you are visiting during peach season. And lastly, we both had the elk bolognese as our entree. What was so excellent about this dish is that BrickHouse didn't rely on the elk to provide all of the dish's flavor. Rather, the seasoning, tomato-based sauce, and handmade pasta were all carefully crafted to complement the elk. If you are in Ouray and open to a slightly more expensive meal, your itinerary has to include BrickHouse 737.

Jon W.

Yelp
Our meal was fantastic over every course but the dressing on the field green salad stood out and my elk Bolognese with handmade noodles was amazing as was my friends short ribs and steak. Our server was personable and checked in just the right amount

Bonni R.

Yelp
Brick house is a great restaurant with several different dining areas and two bars. We had dinner upstairs and the service and atmosphere were perfect. The menu isn't huge but there's something for everyone and there are nightly specials. They have two outdoor seating areas and both face main street so there's plenty to look at. If you're looking for something more Colorado and less burgers or pizza, this is the place for you. The menu includes elk bolognese, venison, rabbit ravioli, and trout. I had one of the specials - lamb linguine - and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors and textures blended perfectly and it had golden raisins that gave it a touch of sweetness. Definitely a must for anyone dining in Ouray.

Vince M.

Yelp
My family and I are at BrickHouse 737 on our last night in Ouray. We were able to get an 8pm reservation for 4 and were promptly seated when we arrived. Our table was upstairs in a nicely furnished and cooled room. Such a treat compared to other restaurants we frequented during our Ouray visit. Cocktails and appetizers were fantastic, and the meals we ordered were all greatly enjoyed. My short rib entree was fantastic and the highlight of my dining in Ouray! The staff was attentive and welcoming and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Kris L.

Yelp
We had a lovely meal starting with the trout and avocado dip, an inventive and excellent combination. I had the seared chicken with harissa on polenta which was also excellent. Be sure and make a reservation as they fill up quickly

Joel R.

Yelp
We spent five days in Telluride and by far this was the best meal that we had. Our waitress Kelly was phenomenal and the food was equally as good. I ordered the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly like I asked. The ambience was perfect for a date night and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Josh M.

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant that deserves its five star reviews. My family and I all ate here during our stay in Ouray. It was by far our favorite meal of the trip. I got to try many of their dishes and every single one of them I enjoyed. My favorites were the short rib and pork chop. The kale salad was phenomenal as well. Our waitress was very professional and attentive even tho she had many other tables to take care of. This restaurant had a very unique look to it with a disco ball hanging above our table which I kind of liked. All the food was reasonable priced for the quality you were getting and we all left with a full stomach and smiles all around.

Shelby N.

Yelp
This restaurant is so cute and the food did not disappoint. Highlights for us were the palisade peach burrata and the short rib. Will definitely be back when we come to Ouray next.

Melany G.

Yelp
The food was delicious!!! We stopped in on a busy Saturday evening with no reservation however we were welcomed and accommodated at the upstairs bar. My sister in law and I both had the steak and fries, my mother in law had the short ribs and my husband had the venison. Everything was delicious! If you are in the area treat yourself and make sure to make a reservation before you come. You will not be disappointed. Expect that it's a higher end restaurant but the price is worth it!

Christi C.

Yelp
I am absolutely obsessed with this place.. I'm convinced it's one of the best restaurants in all of CO! The food is absolutely amazing. I am thoroughly impressed every time I dine here, & make it a point to come any time I'm in the area. Also, I mean C'MONNNN, Ouray is the best lil mountain town there is! I crave this polenta every day until I have it again. Please do not sleep on it!! The shrimp and corn fritters were absolutely delicious and so crispy. The braised short rib was so juicy and tender. The potatoes beautifully creamy, and the veggies cooked to perfection. I can't wait to get back to Brickhouse already! My mouth is watering just writing this. Lol

Rick P.

Yelp
Make sure you do reservations. Place is nice. Very rustic looking. Walked in and because of the reservation were seated right away. Sat upstairs in the bar area. Started off with drinks and roasted Brussels sprouts. Drinks were margaritas for cyndi and candyce and a local red ale for me. Brussel sprouts were great. Caramelized with nuts and bacon. Very good. Don't pass them up. Main course was elk bologase for me. Salmon for cyndi and chicken for candyce. I tried all 3 dishes. Very good. Super tasty. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream. Recommended by the waitress. Great Recommendation. Don't pass up the Brickhouse.

James M.

Yelp
Great view of downtown and the mountains. Food was fresh and prepared beautifully. The venison was delicious. Service was great. Our server took really good care of us even though it was busy.

Joshua K.

Yelp
Yes, food was good. Drink service was a little sketchy because you had to go get your own drink as opposed to being served, but the view was nice. The weather and the atmosphere was good.

Alice Z.

Yelp
Had the most perfect dinner on the patio. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance. They allow dogs which was amazing. Our table overlooked the mountains at sunset and it was so nice! We tried the burrata, elk bolognese and pork chop. Every dish was insanely good. If we spent more days in Ouray I would have come back to try more.

Stacey B.

Yelp
Wonderful. Celebrated our anniversary at Brickhouse and loved it. The space is beautiful and the food was fantastic. We had a palisade peach and tomato salad, short rib, and sirloin steak. The food was delicious and presented beautifully and our server was warm and friendly. We will definitely dine here again on our next visit to Ouray, it's a great option for something a little more upscale.

Kimberly N.

Yelp
We called 40 minutes ahead requesting a table for 6. They were able to get us in! Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by friendly hostess and seated. I love that! They had a good variety of wine options, whiskeys, bourbons, and cocktails. The building was historic, beautiful, and well kept. Casual atmosphere and elaborate dishes! Our server was very attentive and friendly despite how busy she seemed. The wait for food was minimal. We spent 90 minutes there for 3 courses. One of the specials was a caramelized onion sausage soup. My husband and daughter loved it. It came to the table piping hot with lots of melted cheese. For appetizer, we had the curry mussels. The flavors were complex, sweetness from fresh fruit and delicious spices from the curry. Mussels were soft and perfectly cooked. It came with sliced, crisp bread to dip in the yummy sauce. For entree, we had steak & fries, lamb fettuccine, elk bolognese, and braised short rib. Every dish was fantastic. My entire family ate every bite. For dessert, my kids opted for the s'mores. My kids enjoyed making s'mores at the table with their cute setup. I had the toffee carrot cake with ice cream. It was unlike any carrot cake I've had. The medjool dates bring it to another level of delectable. Our total for party of 6 with 2 apps, 3 entrees, 2 kids meals, and 6 drinks was $289. The quality was definitely worth this, maybe more. I've been to more costly restaurants that were not as good. I would recommend visiting this restaurant and I would return next time I'm in town!

Kevin T.

Yelp
We arrived without a reservation after coming down from the mountain on our bikes. Hostess was great enough to work us in at a bar top overlooking the street. Food was excellent. We both had the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes. It was an incredible dish! Topped it off with a couple scoops of fresh ice cream! Service was excellent as well. Would highly recommend

Lisa Y.

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with our friends here. Dishes that were ordered: Baby Kale Caesar with salmon; Skuna Bay Salmon; Short Rib; New York Steak. All were delicious! We also ordered the shishito peppers and the brussel sprouts for apps. It was a bummer that there was prosciutto in the brussel sprouts. We had three pescatarians at the table and didn't realize this fact so they were unable to eat that specific app. Not a big deal, as we had enough for dinner. The service was impeccable. Friendly, Quick, knew the menu, and was overall a wonderful waitress. The restaurant had tables both indoors and outdoors. Great ambience.

Brandon L.

Yelp
Amazing dessert! Also enjoyed a perfectly made Manhattan + the filet was above expectations. Only true fine-dining in Ouray. Bartenders were fantastic, place was lively. Upstairs and downstairs bars, nice decor, kind staff. Try the Butterscotch Pot de la Creme and add some local Brown Cow ice cream...the ginger snap & dark chic peppermint were legit.

Austin G.

Yelp
Ouray Colorado didn't disappoint with the views or the food. This restaurant was delicious! We sat outside by the fire and it was such a nice evening! The Brussels sprouts were amazing and my wife loved the dessert she ordered. My only Caveat is that it's pretty pricey. But the food and views were good so we were fine with it. The service was also solid so if you're in town this is good dinner spot!

Anthony B.

Yelp
The food here is great, the service is excellent and the ambiance is just what we expected for a mountain town. We eat here every time we go to Ouray. Keep up the great work!

Michele B.

Yelp
Food and Service were phenomenal, drinks were quite tasty as well. Will definitely go back when we're in the area.

Tracey S.

Yelp
This is the first restaurant that I tried while visiting in Colorado. It is a beautiful restaurant that features delicious contemporary American cuisine. We walked in for dinner without reservations, but we were lucky. I highly recommend that you make reservations beforehand. The here service is top-notch. I loved the fire pits, too. There are great mountain views along with delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Paula N.

Yelp
This was our favorite restaurant in Ouray! Good service, interesting cocktails, and quality food.

Ace A.

Yelp
The food was good !! Call if you can do a reservation! We got lucky walking in!! Had to wait for a bit!! But they were nice enough to get us in!! Ambiance is what you would think for a mountain town!! Appetizer get the Shashitos peppers they are excellent!!

B M.

Yelp
One of the best spots to eat in Ouray. Very quaint restaurant and tiny bar. Drinks made well and friendly bartenders. Bone marrow was awesome, salads meh. Had the pork chop which was teeny tiny for 40$. Cooked well but too small. Felt like an end cut. Wine list small but manageable. Menu didn't really have a theme. Restaurant was good overall. Couple service misses but they made up for it.

Allison T.

Yelp
This place was the perfect place to celebrate my wedding anniversary. We originally had a reservation for 7 but walked in around 5, we were immediately welcomed & accommodated to have our dinner a few hours sooner. I can't remember our waitress name but she was on top of it & answered any questions we had about the menu & gave us good recommendations. The peppers were awesome, we always order shishito peppers if it's an option and these were one of the best we've had. I wasn't a huge fan of the soup but my husband loved it. I went with the Elk bolognese, noddles were thick, sauce was tasteful & a usually gamy meat tasted perfect. Husband got basil & shrimp pasta & that was equally as excellent. The basil sauce was fantastic. Would definitely recommend Brickhouse if you're looking to splurge or celebrate a special occasion.

April L.

Yelp
Biggest tip, GET A RESERVATION. We tried to walk in here in September and they were totally full all night. We came back in January and knew we needed a reservation and were not disappointed. We actually showed up early just to check and ended up getting seated well before our time (truly luck, don't recommend this). One of the best meals I've had in Colorado. Servers are super friendly. Brussel sprouts appetizer and the meatball appetizer were delicious. Our server had excellent recommendations and even invited us out to sing karaoke with the employees afterwards (we didn't partake because we were exhausted). Overall just a perfect experience.

Stacie V.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for dinner in Ouray! I keep coming back here for the delicious food. I recommend making reservations as seating is limited to their staff. When it's extra busy, they open their upstairs seating. Perfect for date night with the low romantic lighting. I ordered the baby gem salad, smoked scallop crudo, and the chai crème brûlée. The ingredients are quality and the service is great! I also added photos of what I ordered back in Oct 2021! The chocolate decadence is my favorite. The smoked trout and avocado dip, fried Brussels sprouts, and (when they bring it back) pork rillettes are all great options.

Zandra H.

Yelp
The food and service were great. I had the boneless Short ribs and loved it. My husband had the Elk bolognese also very good.

James F.

Yelp
BrickHouse 737 is a fantastic restaurant with a very eclectic menu. The service was excellent, and the ambiance is what I would call mountain upscale. The shrimp and sweet corn fritters along with the Palisade peach and heirloom salad were great starters. My wife had the Skuna Bay Salmon, I had the Venison, and our guests enjoyed the short rib. All of the entrees were perfectly cooked and great portions. The cocktail menu is extensive with lots of different options. I highly recommend the BrickHouse!

Julia S.

Yelp
Make your reservation ASAP! This place is top notch and a treat for those who want something a little more than the usual fare. We didn't have reservations but was luckily able to get seated outside with a table top fire pit (added to the ambiance and kept me warm). For starters we had the shishito peppers. They were slightly sweet for my preference but were cooked to the perfect texture. We had the bison pasta(kids menu), wedge salad, tomato bisque and the braised short rib. Everything was devoured... Every dish was amazing and thoughtfully executed. Service was top notch as well. Check it out when in Ouray!

Chuck R.

Yelp
This is one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I'm from NYC. I'm not the absolute fanciest guy but I've been to some nice restaurants. But the food here was phenomenal. Easily the best Mussels I've ever had and the pork porterhouse was fantastic. They weren't cheap with the sides either. Good portions. If I was in charge of Michelin Stars, I'd give this place one.

Rob F.

Yelp
Solid place for food, service and nice outdoor eating area. It's a little pricey though for the fair. The wedge salad is good and we had elk bolognese. We split it and was enough.

Scott O.

Yelp
We had the Shishito peppers appetizer and the 16 oz Angus Ribeye. $63. This restaurant was recommended to us by a Utah State Park ranger. We were glad. When the appetizer arrived we were both worried about the massive amount of peppers we were going to have to consume. But, only one in that huge pile was spicy at all. The rest were sweet and savory. It was quite a delight that we will try to make on our own when we can. The Angus Ribeye was very tender and juicy. It was all that we hoped and the accoutrements were very nice as well. Normally I'm not a fan of shallots but these were nice. The steak had a great flavor. We were seated upstairs with a great view of the commotion on the street below. The only down side to the whole experience was that our waitress seemed out of it which led to some very long waits at unusual times. Maybe she was new?

Brenda F.

Yelp
One of the best steaks we've ever had, wow! The flavor was amazing! Their mash potatoes were also pretty delicious. Thank you so much.

Mike R.

Yelp
This is a great place for dinner in a beautiful part of Colorado. The service was excellent. From walking in the door on a busy Friday night. Got seated right away, and the drinks and and meals were fantastic. Highly suggest the Trout dip, Shrimp and corn fritters and the Wild mushroom polenta. And their home made Rhubarb Crisp will top off a lovely evening. You can tell this is also a favorite with the locals. Highly suggest a meal at the BrickHouse 737. Cheers

Karlee O.

Yelp
An absolute must when you are coming through Ouray. Every piece of meat was cooked to perfection with delicious sauces. We loved the environment, but make sure to make a reservation because they are very busy and popular! DeAna was such a delightful waitress :)

Casey D.

Yelp
We called for a last minute reservation on a Saturday night, and I'm so glad we did! We sat at the bar and had braised short rib and elk bolognese. I can't wait to get back to Ouray to have that again!

Emma L.

Yelp
We loved sitting outside enjoying a good glass of red wine while in Ouray! The staff is absolutely wonderful and the overall ambiance is great! Quick and fun service!!

Lee B.

Yelp
Nice venue, good food, but slow service. It took 50 minutes from when we ordered until we received our entrees (we were only a party of two). It seemed others were experiencing similar wait times while we were there. We were interested in dessert but skipped it as we didn't want to experience another extended wait. Hopefully this was just a fluke night.

eric L.

Yelp
As always food was excellent, had the venison and short ribs. Service excellent and very welcoming/friendly

Linda H.

Yelp
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Service was great and food was even better. I had the short ribs they were so tender and flavorful. Melted in my mouth. Husband had basil shrimp pasta he loved it. Loved our experience here.

Dustin C.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service. We did not have reservations on a Friday night but they accommodated us and we had a great time. We will definitely be back!

Sumana K.

Yelp
I'm SO happy we came here. The food was unbelievable - literally every item we ordered was delicious. You definitely need a reservation unless you get lucky and they have room at the bar. Pricey but definitely worth it.

Julia K.

Yelp
This is mine and my fiancés FAVORITE restaurant. We are major foodies, and live in Texas. For Christmas from each other, we decided on no gifts, but a trip to Ouray. We love Ouray of course, but truly BrickHouse is why we come. We've talked to the owners too and they are so stinkin' cute and fun. The food is to DIE FOR. We're on our way now from Texas and I'm a little heartbroken that the wedge salad and tomato bisque are not on this seasons menu -- but excited to try new items!

Angela M.

Yelp
We ate here twice during our stay in Ouray and loved it! We sat at the bar both times and had a great food and great service. The atmosphere is cozy. Highly recommend!
