I want to start this review off by first saying that I understand how hard food service can be, I understand how hard customer facing jobs can be. And I want to say that if you’re considering coming here you absolutely should. So myself and my girlfriend have been here twice in the last week, once for Valentine’s Day and once on a random weekday giving it another shot. V - Day. Cajun wings. Great. Crispy, flavorful. Tangy Carolina whatever wings. Horrible. Basically fried a wing and what tasted like congealed shelf stable salad dressing dumped on top. It tasted almost identical to the dipping sauce for the fried Brussels sprouts, it wasn’t good, disgustingly sweet, thick, not home made. Garlic tater tots, good. Garlicky, crispy, oily. Service was prettt meh, think our waitress had a bad handoff from the opener, she wasn’t rude but just wasn’t friendly. Didn’t even tell us her name, no introduction—nothing. Random weekday. Garlic wings, not good at all. We didn’t even finish them, it was basically fried wings with half a jar of raw garlic and a bag of oily parm dumped on. We COULDNT finish them, they were nauseating. Cajun wings, phenomenal, same as the first time. I ordered steak tots, got plain tots, I get it, it’s loud and it was a phone order. Last thing I’ll say is I stood for a good 10 min in the doorway before someone greeted me to see I was picking up an order. The manager who we saw on V-Day is essentially a waiter. We were one of 4 tables dining in on V-Day at 4pm sharp and weren’t greeted once by him, nor was I greeted as I stood like a complete idiot for 10 min as I waited to be acknowledged for my food pick up. We’ve heard a ton of great things about this place..but we already gave it a second go around….maybe a third in the future but as of now…I don’t know. I just expected more

My boyfriend and I went there last night. We sat at the bar. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. The food was excellent! Appetizers, dinner and dessert. We both brought food home and I ate my leftovers today. Still delicious!

Nice local bar with great food! The fish and chips was excellent and mor than plenty, the whole belly clams were as delicious as if I was at the shore! Cooked to perfection! The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend 👌

I usually go just for the rueben. If you get lucky, I went during a ribeye special night. Ended up with a gristle infused rueben that was absolutely incredible. Might never happen again. Glad, I lived it.

Just love it here! You get lots of food for the $ and everything is fantastic! The Brussel sprouts app, garlic parm wings, baked scrod, ribeye, we've had all these and soooo delicious! The staff is wonderful and love the home town atmosphere.

They ran.out of T-bone on T-bone Tuesday! The fish&chips were excellent and the Brussel sprouts exceptional. I am looking forward to going again.

This is our second visit, and we have been delightfully surprised both times. Staff was friendly, and attentive. Food was well portioned, and tasted as good as it looked. We enjoyed the buffalo shrimp, and the fried scallops, and fried clam strips. Prices are also completely reasonable. Glad we stopped in again.

They don't answer the phone and when they do, they hang up in your face. They clearly don't need my buisness.

What I have gotten to eat is pretty good. Really disappointed that at least 5 times we have come to get pigs fly wings and they never have them

I stopped by this restaurant after Geocaching in Ludlow. It was fun and festive and the service was great!

This is one of my favorite local places and they have the best whole belly clams around... Service is always good. People are always friendly. Cocktails are pretty good as well. A little hole in the wall this place is a hidden gem

Some of the best wings in Springfield. Great bar options for decent cocktails. Pretty average prices. They occasionally have lunch specials that are great too.

Amazing food, decor and staff!! Great kids choices and kid friendly!! Waitstaff all work together for you.

What a disappointment. Never had a problem with the food here in the past but tonight was terrible. We ordered wings and they took 45 minutes to come out. When they did the ranch wings were just plain wings with some ranch flavored powder sprinkled on them....most of the powder was dumped on the plate with some of the wings bare. The burger we ordered was well done when we ordered it medium. The tater tots that we ordered with the burger came out 10 minutes after the burger. I have always loved their corned beef Rueben's...this time the corned beef was fatty and the bread was grilled until it was burnt. The waitress, Megan, was wonderful and very apologetic. Unfortunately we will not go back again and will not recommend it to anyone.

The food and service here was amazing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious. The salad with bbq short ribs - amazing, the fish and chips was fresh and awesome. Some of the best buffalo wings I've ever had.

This might be a good place for a drink but we came for lunch and it wasn't very good. The tots were good but not the specialty nor cheese burgers. Food was 1-2 stars but gave them 3 stars because the drinks might be good.

We randomly found this place while traveling and it is so good!! A little loud but it was Christmas Eve and a party was going on in the bar. Highly recommend!!

I had the delicious tuna melt. The bread was very tasty and the tuna albacore. I liked that they didn't go heavy with the mayo. My dining partner had the pastrami sandwich and liked it as well. The service was friendly and quick!

Another location I had on our list while in town. We came here for dinner it was packed and I can see why. Cool vibe, nice and relaxed to chat and have fun with friends and family. The food was excellent he boys had the steak special, I had some wings (excellent) and salad with steak on top the portions were perfect for everyone.

First experience decent. Today, NOT SO MUCH. Drove 1.5 hours from Boston with plans to eat @ family's house and bring a nice display from Brickhouse. Had an order written down to feed 10 hungry stomachs and called 30 minutes before arrival while on the highway. When they answered phone they told me only 1 cook today so NO TAKE OUT FOOD. Legit ruined our day. Get yourselves together over there. Have a manager step in, someone extra to help, call a friend, beg borrow or steal - who knows. But this was a shameful display of a mismanaged restaurant. And that comes from someone who's been in the industry for 25 years and understands both sides of the coin. With takeout orders, unlike dine in, you have the ability to say 45-60 minutes for pickup instead of just saying NO. Pathetic and amateur. Just lost about a dozen customers. Good luck.

Service was great. Food not at all. I felt so bad for our server. She was overworked for sure. She did amazing serving the bar and a lot of tables. Now the food, I ordered teriyaki steak tips. Meat was ok but very gritty. Flavor was blah. My friend ordered ribeye rare. She got what looked like something that was sitting around for hours. Well done and not very appetizing. This was my second trip there. First wasn't great either but wanted to give it another try. Sorry I won't be back. Service 4 stars food 0 stars.

They never answer the phone . We try to call and place order for pick up and it's always going to voicemail. Very frustrating and not good for business.

All the things were good - it was solid, but we loved everything. Server was great. She joked with us and was knowledgeable.

The food was very good , we sat by the open air window seat looking out at the street. A great neighborhood feel. Our server, the barmaid, was chatty enough for a warm social mood and very informative. All around good experience

Was in the area and stopped in on a whim. Burger was pretty basic (notably looked they same as the Jr. burger I ordered for my daughter), but the garlic park tater tots were good. Service was great

My brother absolutely loves this place and every time I'm in town we always come here. On my last visit the weather was perfect so we sat outside. Both he and I have always been happy with what we order, plus service is always outstanding. They're really good about having a variety of seasonal - local beer. They had this Fall pumpkin beer which the waitress added cinnamon and sugar on top of. I have to be honest, I didn't know how I was going to feel about having cinnamon and sugar added to my beer, what if she just ruined it? but Lo and behold, it tasted amazing. Here's a tip, when you order the basket of fries... they really bring you a basket of fries (see pic). Perfect while drinking beer.

Your classic hometown tavern which was a perfect fit for us on a return trip from the North Shore back to New York. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and place was busy with bar and table groups but not crowded. We had our 6 year old in tow and place was very family friendly with a kids menu (he got chicken fingers and they even gave him an ice cream sandwich for dessert). We were in mood for apps so we ordered the soft pretzels and two dozen wings. We ordered 12 hot Buffalo and 12 honey habanero. Both full of flavor with a slight kick but not overpowering. Wings were meaty and crispy and blue cheese was cold and tasty. Waitress was attentive and kept checking in and food came out pretty quickly. Only hiccup of our visit is we were given the wrong tab but that was corrected and we left full and happy. Off street and on street parking available. 5 minutes off of the Mass Pike. Reasonable prices. Sports on the TVs throughout.

Made a stop en route to Maine for dinner and was happy with the food and service. Sweet server and good food! Husband and I got a burger and son got a Reuben and all was great!

Excellent food and service despite being constantly packed! We had to come back twice, first time we can the kitchen had closed and the second time they pulled us back in because a table opened up just in time and I'm glad it worked out for us so we didn't have to try again a third time to visit!! The only issue was that it did take time for us to be served, we were there for like 3 hours total for dinner for the two of us which is pretty long but it's understandable because they were truly mobbed when we were there, but the food quality did not suffer at all as a result. I got fish and chips which were perfect, my husband got steak tips and fries which were perfect as well and it also came with coleslaw which I thought was weird for steak but was still very good. Our wings were accidentally given to someone else but they refired some for us and took them off the bill which was wicked nice - we took them home and had them later on, they were still SO GOOD even after sitting for awhile which I thought was miraculous. They definitely know what they're doing with the food luckily. Service is great otherwise and everyone is very nice, looking forward to going back and finding a good time to visit that's not during a busy rush period

I was traveling through Springfield, headed back to Boston, starved. I yelped for a classic burger, and BHT popped up. Exceptional burger, absolutely delightful service, a huge win.

Very friendly staff. We sat on the patio by choice and were alone outside but service was still wonderful. We had Buffalo Shrimp App (Huge), tots (crunchiest around), the daily special beef tips and gravy.... and these AMAZING Sweet Potato chips!!! We had read about tots in other reviews but you GOTTA get those chips- they are cut to order super thin and just the right texture .... the sauce is great too. It's not spicy but the flavor mixed w that sweet We will def be going back - may even become a great place to stop by for a drink on the way home from work as well!

Really cool vibe. Staff was friendly and super helpful. The food is amazing! The mashed potatoes taste better than homemade. They were even nice enough to serve the gravy on the side. Their bbq sauce is to die for! Go check them out!

Went to Brickhouse Tavern for a girls night out since we've all been cooped up so long. There were7 of us so we had to sit at separate tables because you can't have more then 6 we all got drinks i got the watermelon martini that was amazing we heard the wings here are amazing and they really are. My table split 20 wings half garlic and then golden fever both flavors were awesome!! I had for dinner the buffalo chicken quesadilla (app) and it was great. My friend ordered the braised short rib grilled cheese and it looked amazing. I ordered 20 wings to go half honey jalapeño and evoo garlic and it was a big hit. All and all i would come here once a week just for the wings. So if you love wings you have to try it here. We had an amazing waitress as well her name was Sandy and she went above and beyond!

What great place and atmosphere. I'm from California, and was looking for a place to have a drink. Let me tell you, the service was prompt, the drinks were really good and the pretzels really surprised me; delicious!!!! Keep it up.

Super busy and locals love the place. That said, service is pleasant and folks are friendly. There's a LOT of fried food on the menu and plates. That means if you're looking for something fried, this might be the place for you. They served a decent basket of sweet fries. The fried scallops and whole belly clams were good. Wyf loves the garlic wings and hot buffalo. Both were crispy and flavorful. Music is loud. It's not a place for conversation but once the crowd dies down and the pace isn't frantic it was nice. Three stars reflects the menu. It's bar food: wings, sandwiches and wraps. There is a specials menu, but it's limited.

Ok, been coming here for years every time we're in town. We still make it a point to eat here every time. Some places lose their excellence over time but Brickhouse has not. Went for lunch today and it was just as good, if not better than the first time over 7 years ago. I had the pastrami Rueben sandwich and the wife had a meatloaf sandwich. Mine was excellent and the tater tots were also great. The wife said her sandwich was very good and the coleslaw was exceptional. As always the service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Also, the place just looks great. They have art and things on the walls that I found fascinating. I would tell anyone, try this place, you won't regret it.

Went late on a Sunday afternoon thinking it would be slow. So wrong. Crazy busy. Had to wait at the door to grab a high top table. Right after that, a line formed at the door and went out it. After 5 minutes, a server came over and told us they were shorthanded. I'll say!! Anyhow, got our orders in. Wings were delicious, as were the steak tips. Wraps were good too. They have a choice of fries, TOTS! , or sweet potato fries. I LOVE tots and they didn't disappoint. Beer choices are in the dozens! We will be back!

Food is alright, but if they have a special that you are interested in buy that. Specials are very good! The beer assortment is good and I haven't tried any mixed drinks. Wait times are a little on the longer side but they're not terrible. You probably drive by this place all the time and it's worth it to go in and see if it's for you.

I've been coming here for over 5 years now and I cannot say enough great things about this place. It has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I haven't gotten anything here I didn't like. All the drinks specialty and regular are always so good. The staff is so friendly and helpful and it's usually always the same waitresses which makes it even better in the sense that it must be a great place to work as well as dine. Everything on the menu is always delicious, I have to say the fried scallops are the best thing on the menu and the best scallops in the area. Every single time, they are fried to perfection and are such a beautiful white on the inside, the coleslaw and tartar sauce are always very good as well which can definitely make or break the plate; it also comes with fries, which are cooked perfectly as well or you can substitute for their amazing tator tots or onion rings. There's also loaded tots here which are a ginormous amount of tots and toppings that all come together to make such a great dish. Also a great stop for some mouth watering short ribs or a Reuben! The menu is very diverse and they hit the head on the nail with every dish.

Found this place from you guys here at yelp as I never would have seen it driving by as it's tucked off to the side. I got a classic reuben made with pastrami along with some sweet potato fries. Order came out quickly and the waitress was courteous and friendly. A couple of tvs over the bar and plenty of seating. The sandwich was good as were the fries. I drove past it at first and had to turn around. Plenty of parking on the side of the building. I walked around front to gain entrance but there is a side entrance I didn't notice.

Great food, only been there a few times but the staff are nice and the wait isnt too long, the garlic and parm stuff is very tasty but also oily

My daughter and I ate outside patio. Though it abuts a busy street it was comfortable dining there. Service was great. Staff very attentive. Food choice very good, fairly priced with a good selection of daily specials. Delicious cocktails too.

Brickhouse Tavern Fish and Chips are the best that we have found in the area. My wife and I have been visited a number of other Western Mass and Connecticut restaurants over the last few months. Brickhouse Tavern Fish and Chips beat out the chain restaurants, a downtown Sp'fld restaurant, two places in East Longmeadow, one in N'ton, and two Irish Pubs in the area. The food came out hot and quick. The staff is welcoming and attentive. It's a friendly neighborhood tavern.

Food is very good, staff excellent. A little pricey but the authenticity of the food is worth the $. We had pizza, salad & kids meal spaghetti. Awesome. Thanks

Love the food here! Very fresh and delicious! My only complaint is they need more help ! Busy place with only 1 person doing everything front of the house... Seems rediculous to me not to have any servers on .
