Imagine eating some really great food... on the grass next to PBI's busiest runway. That would be marginally quieter than BrickTops, one of the busiest eateries on Palm Beach island.
A pair of roaring Pratt and Whitney engines, at full throttle, have nothing over a very live room full of loud chattering Eargo-wearing New York septuagenarians, and their grand kids squealing out notes that would make even a Toronto street violinist and mime sound sweet. It meters out at a headache inducing 78 dB decibels.
Servers should get earplugs, or maybe the restaurant should spring for some sound padding for the ceiling.
The bar is heavy a couple of chairs. There's one that puts you in front of a post/wall. Another is a single that occupies a tiny strip of counter between server pick up points.
Greed, for want of a better word, isn't good.
How's the food, you ask? Mixed bag.
Pork chop? Total awesomeness. The mashed potatoes, no greens? Less so.
Ahi tuna? Not spectacularly fresh, although the preparation was good, for your MBA-restaurant 101 sesame crusted tuna that stopped being novel about 2011.
Located in tony Palm Beach, this chain eatery is blue blood Chili's, a costly cattle call.
Parking is valet, or street by divine providence, during season.
If you have exceptionally uncontrollable children, and/or people from the longer island, or the Jersey shore, who set up a Fender amp to do dinner talk, this is your place!
