We stopped in this pub after a long day of hiking the Brecon Beacons, and it was the perfect end to our day. The beer was good and at less than £5 a pint the price was great! The bartender and patrons were friendly. They weren’t serving food the night we came so we had to go to a nearby restaurant, but we heard there would be music so decided to return for another pint afterwards. Very cosy and friendly atmosphere.

Charming country pub with very friendly, helpful staff. We popped in after a morning of hiking and enjoyed a hearty lunch. The food was typical pub grub, but good grub! I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a couple of vegan dishes. The woman serving the food was really lovely.

Great food and friendly staff. Also had Sunday lunch here a few years ago and that was excellent too.

Food was fantastic. My wife had gammon, chips, mushrooms, peas, onion rings and an egg and it was a really good portion. I had the bridge burger with one of the biggest beef patty I think I've ever had. Brie bites for starter were amazing. Lovely friendly staff and a lovely seat next to a roaring fire. We'll worth a visit.

Went for an amazing walks around the valley. Some stunning views and some interesting wildlife. Finish the walk at the pub for a well deserved Sunday lunch. Was able to sit outside over looking the bridge and the river. My lunch was delicious and the service was great. Overall I enjoyed my hole day out.

The friendliest pub I've ever been in. Lovely beer, and a beautiful beer garden that sits by the stream to sit and watch the fish. Highly recommend a pint of Butty Bach.

A proper pub serving great food and a fine pint of beer. Lovely location with a nice beer garden too. It’s deservedly popular with locals and visitors alike so best to book a table if you want to eat.

Yelp
I recently visited a charming local pub, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! The hospitality was outstanding--warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The food was simply exceptional, with every dish we tried being a testament to the kitchen's skill. We started with the pork meatballs, which were massive and served with classic mashed potatoes and peas--a comforting and perfectly executed dish. The meat pie was another highlight, with its incredibly flaky crust and a flavorful filling infused with unique local touches. The daily special, fajitas, offered generous portions that left us thoroughly satisfied. We also tried the curry with prawns, served alongside mixed rice and chips--a delightful fusion of flavors that worked beautifully. The butterfly chicken, paired with a fresh and tasty salad, was another standout. And the most delicious thing was the sticky toffee pudding. We ordered before dinner because we wanted to try it before we got full and it was the most delightful thing to warm up our pallets. Plus, my mom thought she didn't like sticky toffee pudding and then she tried tho and it has covered her over. A quick tip: check the hours before you go. We arrived at 5 PM and discovered they don't start serving food until 6 PM. However, you can order drinks and relax while you wait. And trust me, the food is absolutely worth it! The atmosphere was exactly what you'd hope for in a local pub: cozy, inviting, and full of character. This place is a gem. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Wish this was in my neighborhood!
