Bridge House Hotel

Recently stayed here for work for 1 night. Did not have time to use any of the services or eat in the restaurant unfortunately. The room was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was incredible. The room was very warm, there was no thermostat in the room and the window would not stay open. I had to shove two towels under the window to keep it open to allow air in. This is the only fault. Everything was clean, water bottles and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The usual wear and tear of a hotel room. The staff were super helpful and friendly! Location is very central, free parking for hotel guests as well.

Recently stayed in the Bridge House and it was a very pleasant stay all round. The staff on reception were very friendly and the carvery lunch in particular was fab. Piping hot as it had just opened for service. Great choice of menu also. Breakfast also very good and floor staff very helpful . Will definitely visit again .

We stayed and ate at the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore this evening. The hotel itself is well kept, it's a little dated, in the style of an old Irish hotel or stately home. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the Char restaurant, a 4 course meal as part of the package we chose, which includes 2 night B&B and one evening meal. There were 4 starter and 4 main course options, so not a huge variety. The full menu had more options. The food was tasty. Not exceptional but tasty and well presented. The restaurant was busy and staff were kept running around, serving diners. It was nothing to write home about but at the same time, no complaints, which is more important.

We have just had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel, our room was very comfortable and quiet with a nice bathroom, the beds were super comfy too. I had a treatment in the spa which was great, thanks to Leona. We will definitely return again when next in the area, all the staff were super friendly and the entertainment in the bar was great.

My husband and I booked a night away here with dinner and checked to see if there was gluten free food available as I am coeliac. We were assured that there were many options and that they take it seriously. I checked the menu when we sat down upstairs in the Italian restaurant and there were great options, so I ordered and made sure to make our server aware that I needed gluten free as I was coeliac and not just a choice. When my food came she repeated back to me that my food was gluten free so I confidently ate my pasta. Unfortunately about 1.5 hrs later I realized I had been glutened. I was extremely unwell until almost 5am and still feeling the effects 5 days later. When we were checking out I let the person at reception know what happened just so they could be made aware of cross contamination or incorrect pasta used. He assured me that the duty manager and the restaurant manager would contact me to speak about it as soon as possible. Unfortunately I have not heard from anyone and think it's very unprofessional. I had let the receptionist know that I would be leaving a review to let other coeliacs or people with allergies know that the risk was high. Very unfortunate as the hotel itself was so lovely. **Edit** The restaurant manager called my a few hours after I posted this review, she hadn't been working until that day and did not know about the incident. She was extremely understanding, had already spoken with one of the chefs, she remembered where I was sitting and had served me herself. She assured me that she was going to go through proceedures with the kitchen to ensure an avoidance of cross contamination in the future.

The rooms were very tired. Grout dirty, shower not great and generally needed an upgrade. The pool area was just awful. Really shabby, old fashioned and needs a major upgrade. BUT the food and service in the Italian restaurant was just fab. Emma and Paulina were outstanding. We were a party of 26 runners after doing the Tullamore Half Marathon and there was an 80 year old party there too. Both fabulous ladies who couldn’t do enough for us. Please commend them. The breakfast wasn’t great. Trays of food and over night oats were not replenished even though they had plenty in the kitchen. I think a few more hot options besides from poached eggs would be appreciated. Again huge thanks to Emma and Paulina who were on again at breakfast.

Service and hotel was perfect. I requested an accessible room and there was no trouble. Just to note, there are steps to the hotel, but I was clearly informed the hotel's fitness suite entrance right next door has an elevator. There was no issue.

Great stay, had a family suite, 3 singles on one side, a side and queen double on the other. TVs in both rooms. Showers are brilliant. Service at reception and bar were excellent. Very friendly and a credit to the hotel. There was a debutante ball on in the hotel that nightand we were co cerned we would be kept awake all night by the band, but honestly, we did not hear anything. It was delightful. Location is ecmxcellent, in the heart of the town.

Treatments here are great. Staff are always so nice and helpful. Best thing is there waxing is good and quick! They also have great offers every month! And if your a regular you get 20% off if your back within five weeks! Needless to say I always get that and they have just started gel nails!!!! The eye combo is great I'm delighted
