Bridge House Lodge Bar & Restaurant

This review is for the restaurant, which was outstanding. The menu has a lot of options, we ordered the fish & chips and ribs. The ribs were tender and flavoursome, and the fries had the perfect level of salt. The fish was crunchy on the outside and juicy. The food came extremely fast, and customer service was excellent, the waiters were so friendly and professional, will be coming back :)

We dined and stayed here recently, and while the location — just minutes from Warkworth — is a definite plus, the accommodation itself could use a refresh. The rooms are spacious enough, but as some reviews have noted, the bathrooms in particular are starting to show their age. That said, the dining experience was the real highlight. The restaurant has a cosy, almost alpine charm to it — a cross between a classic pub and a ski lodge, complete with timber beams and a roaring fireplace. It’s a warm, inviting space that immediately puts you at ease. The food was very good. I had the lamb, which was beautifully cooked and pulled apart effortlessly. My partner chose the fish and chips — a generous portion, well-executed. While the lamb was the standout, the accompanying mash and creamed leeks could have used a touch more seasoning and a bit more finesse in presentation. Overall though, a thoroughly enjoyable meal in a lovely setting. We’d happily return.

It was a great place! Loved the food — everything was delicious. The desserts were amazing, and the drinks were equally impressive. Highly recommend this spot for a wonderful dining experience!

Went to their restaurant here, definitely recommend the mussels with creamy sauce. Really good. Steak was abit small portion for my liking. Beers are good with especially their tap beers always fresh with plenty of fizz and cold. Went back here twice as there’s nothing else good locally for choices at night.

Had a meal here recently on a Saturday night. The scotch filled steak was extremely chewy and served barely warm and chips not hot either. Salad was mediocre. Wouldn't recommend

I really enjoyed the time there and meal. My big complaint is that to get to restaurant there are only steps I really struggled . I'm sure if you put a rail onto step both side or made a ramp somehow. ,you would be more accessible to people that have disabilities. Increasing your turnover.

Arranged a family of 16 get together for lunch. Sat outside at a large table area, weather was good and we all enjoyed our meals bar one. This was our second time meeting here, very relaxed atmosphere. Will meet up again, all had a lovely time together

We had an incredible experience at The Bridge House in Warkworth this afternoon. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was a hit! We enjoyed the steak sandwich, individual smoked chicken and bacon pizza, mussels, and kurma fries, and they were all fantastic. The customer service was top-notch and couldn't be faulted. A special shoutout to Noah, who went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. Such a welcoming and attentive atmosphere made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommend this spot for amazing food and outstanding service

Decent-to-good bar and restaurant in a historic location in Walkworth. Very good service. Main complaint is that it's expensive for what it is - a solid bar/restaurant serving fairly standard meals. The calamari was a bit overdone, but otherwise no complaints. Nice side deck area overlooking the river, but you'll have to deal with smokers out front.
