Always a great place to eat. Amazing menu. Amazing quality of food. You can’t do better in the summer sitting out on the deck by the river and winter sitting by the file. Should have taken a photo of the amazing mushroom spinach linguini with a side of greens. Taste explosion and it never alters. Just waiting now for the crème brûlée

convenient place to stay in the heart of Warkworth Great daily service of room, towel replacement etc, bed making, wonderful Aircon/heat pump , huge TV with enough channels to keep you from your pH and the ability to screen share if you needed to. All the other usual amenities available in the room Tidy and clean space, modern renovation with enough charm to keep the character. Lovely friendly hosts. Restaurant and bar next door overlooking the Mahurangi River Amazing food and service. Will stay again amazing value for money. 💖🌞🌈

Very pleased with our meals. The snapper was delicious and the steak came out perfect . A nice atmosphere , with professional service .We were pleasantly surprised and definately will go back.

We had the chowder and the ribs and both dishes were delicious with a real home-style feel. The atmosphere is cosy, the place looks great, and the riverside promenade right next to it adds a lovely touch. The service was excellent – friendly and quick. We’d happily come back again. Highly recommended.

Took my family to bridge house for my son's birthday. I spoke to them to see how I could get my mother to the tables as she struggles to walk . When we arrived they had coned off a park right outside the gate and opened it so she could walk through the gate and sit at the table . They even brought a pillow out to put on a chair . So if your in a wheelchair or struggle highly recommend as a restaurant for those with disabilities. That was just the start to amazing meals . Thank you chef . Service was exceptional . I'd like in particular to mention the service from a young gentleman called Steven Richards . Thank you for going far and beyond and listening . I can see you managing a restaurant one day . My husband and I booked a table at the Bridgehouse last Saturday for our wedding anniversary meal. We ordered our drinks and meals at the same time. The waiter returned some time later to check our .enu orders. Then around 5 minutes later my husband's meal was served and I was told that mine was taking a bit longer. In the time it took my salmon dish to get to the table , my husband had finished his meal. So I was left to eat my meal and found the the salmon was raw in the middle. Another staff member was alerted and when told the fish was raw and that I wanted it returned and to have the same dish my husband had eaten, I was told that they would check with the manager. No apology yet. Then I was told that the salmon would be taken off the bill and replaced with the dish I preferred. No apology yet. When the meal arrived I was told they were sorry and that our drinks would be taken off the bill. This was poor customer service, as we didn't eat a meal together, the service time was far too long and instead of a complimentary meal, the drinks were removed from our bill. As a positive, a dessert was ordered and arrived quickly and was delicious.

Today members of my family met at the Bridgehouse for lunch. A special meal celebrating my late Mother's life. The wait staff ever friendly were great as usual. My eggplant meal arrived was not cooked enough. I could not get my knife through the chewy, rubbery fruit/vegetable. Tasted raw and was inedible. I returned the meal and the staff replaced the meal with a macaroni dish. We each had a drink and dessert. When paying the bill, I saw the obergene dish charged for. I asked an older Samoan woman Ramona to reverse the accidental charge. She refused and was very rude about it. She said 'we have the best chef's and if you don't like eggplant don't order it'. I reminded her I've been a regular customer for 14 years. She said she didn't know me, then proceeded to yell that I returned a lot of dishes, often. I've never, ever returned a dish. She was disgusting, rude, unprofessional and a downright liar. Bad for business, I'd say. Five of us and a large bill, some good meals and some inedible food, very poorly presented. I'm owed $34.00 BRIDGEHOUSE. $34.00 SAMOAN RAMONA. I'm local and your rudeness and dismissal of me is unacceptable RAMONA. PS. The food is hit and miss at best. Not recommended

Work trip. Stayed and ate here. The food is AMAZING but you can probably tell that the chef cares just by reading the menu… Staff were pretty friendly and fast. The steak was cooked PERFECTLY and the Chimichurri was so yum but the cheesecake blew my socks off. Rooms are fairly basic but clean and warm. Will make this the new spot when I’m up here!

Decent-to-good bar and restaurant in a historic location in Walkworth. Very good service. Main complaint is that it's expensive for what it is - a solid bar/restaurant serving fairly standard meals. The calamari was a bit overdone, but otherwise no complaints. Nice side deck area overlooking the river, but you'll have to deal with smokers out front.
