"Officially opened in 2010, this impressive bridge designed by Italian architect Michele de Lucchi connects the historic old town of Tbilisi to the west and Rike Park to the east.  The modern design of this bridge over the Mtkvari river received mixed reactions. Locals and several well-known politicians and public figures criticized the structure for its extravagant design against the backdrop of the historical landmarks in the old town. The bridge stretches more than 400 feet (150 meters) across the river. A walk across provides a great view in both directions, capturing many of the city’s sights such as the Metekhi Church and the iconic statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali. The bridge is composed of many large curved, steel beams with multiple glass panels. Around each panel are multiple LED lights that make the bridge an iconic sight during sunsets." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

The structure of the bridge is honestly awesome. It’s made of glass and is twisty at the ends and simple yet detailed. I noticed that when I was at a higher level looking down at the bridge, that whenever someone walked on it it looked like they were walking on the water instead. Nice location right next to the Rike Park and the tramway to the Mother of Georgia and alongside other stuff. Definitely nice views of the mountains and the Mother of Georgia from the bridge too. For sure a good place to visit when coming to Tbilisi because it’s not just for the bridge, it’s also for the park, tramway, and other stuff in that area.

May 2024 It's 30 minutes stop to walk on the bridge from our tour in the city. Wonderful architecture. There are few buskers performances that kept the walk interesting. We warm. Also a peacock caretaker. Do not take any of the photos from a close shot. He will demand you pay for the shots taken. The river flow was high and fast. It was raining on this day. We took a few photos of the bridge. It's difficult to get a shot with many people on the bridge.

A landmark in the city and worth checking out both during the day and at night, when it’s lit up beautifully. It connects between a lovely park and a great spot in the city for dining, so is well located. Some wonderful modern art in the city.

Peace Bridge, Tbilisi, Georgia: The most picturesque spot in Tbilisi. The essential modernist bridge links the newer part to the older part of Tbilisi. A muddy Kura river runs through it and you get the best vista of the city, with the palaces, fortresses and churches all serving as the perfect, romantic backdrop. #eatstylishtravelstylish

The bridge is a beautiful construction and a must visit attraction in Tbilisi. On the day we visited, there was a handsome singer on the bridge. His voice was beautiful. We had a great time listening to his music and enjoying the view from the bridge.
