Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar

We were a party of five and had dinner there. Although we had a reservation we had to wait to be seated although the table was ready. The food was good, but the service was not very attentive. The waiter informed us that the sandwiches included a soup, but not that some of them had an additional cost. But the worst part was that we were basically in the dark. The dining room had some lights, but our table was away from them. We requested more light without success. The waiters told us that usually they had candles in the tables but not that night. We had to use the lights of our phones to read the menu and to eat. Very weird…

Everything was good food and drink wise. But the menu "hasn't been updated in 3 months" according to our server. So don't try to order the tempranillo. And the boards no longer come with dried fruit, even though the menu says so. And the $10+ cheeses and meats on the "build your own" section come with 3 small slices of cheese or 5-6 slices of meat. I have loved all their other restaurants, but the value for the price fell a little flat here...

Warm welcome, polished setting, phenomenal draft and bottled beer selection and creative, delicious foods. The crew cared about their work and were genuinely kind and knowledgeable. Huge thanks to John, Malik and Mason for a fantastic evening in St Louis :)

This place was great! We were in St. Louis for a volleyball tournament, and we assumed everywhere would be packed. We discovered Bridge, had little wait to be seated, and the experience was wonderful! The food was amazing, the beer list was interesting and delicious, and our server John was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel very welcome. We had a great time, and the decor and atmosphere were lovely. Thank you, and hopefully we are able to come back soon!

This was our First visit will not be our last Visit! Started our eating pleasures with the freshly homemade Rosemary Focaccia a delectable you must try for yourself. Was served with homemade hummus, roasted garlic, and marinated olives, mouth watering. Tomato bisque was perfect! Our meals included, Special Scallops with Fettuccine, tasty Capanelle the asparagus, peas in the creamy lemon sauce was a delicious blend, Fettuccine with shrimp, & last Tomato Tartine. All portions were plentiful and staff very accommodating. Compliments to this chef this food was the superb! We live 2.5 hours from this location but we will return, definitely worth repeat visits! 12/21/24

I always make sure to stop at Bridge Tap House when I am in town from Chicago, and my visit(s) a couple weeks ago were the best yet. We decided to sit at the bar and had a great time getting to know the bartender, Vince. He was happy to talk to us through available options and thanks to him, we got to try an incredible rice lager that is a new favorite. He also is a true artist when it comes to craft cocktails! Everything was so excellent, I came back a couple nights later with another friend. It's without a doubt my favorite spot in St. Louis!

Had a lovely New Year’s Eve dinner at the Bridge!! We ordered the Rosemary Focaccia, Beef Wellington, and the Fettuccine. Everything was wonderful but I would say a little salty for my taste (possibly because they’re supposed to be paired with wine). Rosemary Focaccia — The warm focaccia paired perfectly with the roasted garlic and hummus. Great appetizer! Beef Wellington — My bf’s personal pick was this dish. He especially liked the red wine sauce that came with it. Note: this dish was part of the New Year’s Eve special menu Fettuccine — Very delicious! I especially liked the sweet drop peppers in the dish. To note, the fettuccine is customizable with tomato or alfredo sauce, we went for the latter. It was more of an oil based alfredo than a cream base than we expected but nonetheless delicious. P.S The scallops were amazing, but I don’t think they are part of the original dish (possibly just added as we were the last customers).

Had high expectations for this place that were unfortunately not met. This was all mainly due to staff shortage, which made for very slow and inattentive service. The food was good overall, but unfortunately not good enough to make up for the rest. One of our ingredients was also changed without notifying us. The place has cool decorations though and one of the servers was a lot kinder and more patient than the other.

Bridge Taphouse and Wine Bar is such a gem in downtown St. Louis, and I can definitely believe they've been holding it down for around 15 years--what an incredible run for a spot that truly deserves it. The vibe is everything: dark, intimate, and just the perfect setting to kick back and enjoy amazing food and great company. I had the shrimp linguine and scallops, and both were absolutely phenomenal. This place is so #StLouisPescatarianApproved Don't get me started on the sticky toffee dessert! Wow! Shoutout to John, Mason, and Malik for being so fantastic--they made the whole experience even better. I can't wait to come back and dive into more of their menu (and maybe their wine list, too).

The place looked Very Demure Our waiter helped us pick out the best Pinot noir I've ever had The Mac and cheese was 10/10 would eat again and again and again Service was very fast, nice, and knowledgeable

This place is so great, super friendly staff and delicious cocktails. We came here before dinner one night to get some work done and grab a drink. We sat at the bar and ordered the closest they had to an espresso martini. It was a Tiramisu flair to it, but it wasn't too sweet. There was a definite craft in making this cocktail when I watched the bartender make it. It's all a part of the experience which I love. They have a rotating selection of 35* draft beers in a variety of pour sizes, 50+ beers by the bottle, 100+ wines, featured wine flights, build your own beer flights, and more. Awesome place and definitely plan on eating next time I'm here!!

Small pub with big appeal. Friendly bartender. Tried several samples before picking my beer. Food was great on a cold day... with grilled cheese and the tomato soup.

One of the few places left for a decent meal downtown on a weekend that's not outrageous. My husband and I came here when we were visiting St. Louis for the first time in years. This had been a nice date spot when we lived here, but then there were more choices downtown. It's location now does not have much around it to do - maybe it's better during baseball season or blues games though. The food here was good. We were pleasantly surprised that the sandwiches all came with a soup or salad, making it a great value. I opted for a cocktail as they were about the same cost as the wine and the wines didn't seem that fantastic. I had a pumpkin old fashion which tasted like a pumpkin pie in a glass. It was tasty and would have been a great drink instead of dessert. The sandwiches were very good. I had the burrata one and my husband enjoyed the toasted cheese and ham one. Honestly their pricing seems a little all over the place, because while the sandwiches are a good value the cheese and charcuterie is a bit absurd with items starting at 10 dollars. While I originally thought I'd order some wine and cheese, I opted to get the things that sounded like a better deal and they were all very tasty.

A great place for dinner and drinks that is a short jaunt from several downtown St. Louis hotels. It has a very eclectic and romantic ambiance. The food is top notch. We ordered the beef tenderloin and the scallops and nothing was left on either of our plates. Delectable and very well plated. We had the red velvet brownie for dessert, which was good as well. They make a fabulous old-fashioned and smooth rum drinks . Only complaint would be the slow service. Beautiful establishment.

We brought my mom here before the theater because it seemed right up her alley - charcuterie. We came in before the dinner rush and had fantastic service. The cocktail menu was great and they had some amazing wine options. We grabbed a few small plates to share and everything was great. We got the mushroom pate which was a little bland and we could have done without, but everything else we tried had great flavor profiles. The cheese obviously stole the show - we wanted to try all of them. They're very sharing with their cheese portions which was appreciated since there were four of us. We only wished they served more bread because it was so buttery and soft. There was not enough to go around! A very good experience, I'll definitely be back with my husband for wine and cheese.

Ugh. Where do I start. Bridge has the best cheese board selection you can imagine. Pick your own, make your own charcuterie board. The bread it comes with is to die for! The waiter & waitresses were so great & super helpful with the chaotic cheese options, also helping to pair your wine with the cheese & meats you decide on. The dark venue is very calming & quiet. A great date night spot!

I was pleasantly surprised after my visit here. The restaurant itself is pretty cozy and dark (took me a bit to get used to) but the food and drinks were outstanding! If I lived closer, I would likely frequent this place for the vibes and drinks! Will take pics next time!

Excellent food and service! Make sure you go here the next time you are in STL. The love and care that went into the offerings is amazing. So much flavor. Atmosphere was posh and chill. We ordered two sandwiches, a side salad to share and each of us got a flight. I should have taken more pictures.

Came here after dinner for drinks so we didn't try any food. The menu looked very good so we will return for dinner. We live near downtown and are making an effort to patronize more downtown businesses. Our server was very friendly and showed us how to quickly find certain items on their large multi-page menu. We ordered 2 glasses of wine the Two Mountain Chardonnay and Niel Ellis Sauvignon Blanc. Both were very good. I really like the decor and vibe of this bar. Can't wait to come back!

We ate here on a Saturday night with a 6:00 reservation for 4. We were seated upstairs. We ordered drinks from our very soft-spoken waiter. We had to ask him to repeat himself several times as we just couldn't hear him, he was that soft spoken. The martinis arrived (one espresso, one dirty) in the smallest glasses I've ever seen - almost comical as if they belonged in a child's tea set. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and it was uninspired, not even an orange slice garnish to be had. One of our party doesn't drink and asked for sweet tea and was brought a hot lemon tea with a glass of ice. When he asked for a Dr. Pepper or a Mt. Dew, he was told they only had coke - in a can. We had appetizers of chilled shrimp, rosemary focaccia with hummus, and pretzel bites with beer cheese. The hummus was very tasty, the chilled shrimp was delightful as was the cous cous it rested on. We all ordered the pastrami sandwich, with their house made pastrami. It was delicious and came out very hot! The house made chips were a great addition. Overall the food was good, but the drinks left something to be desired and the waiter needs to speak up.

Food and atmosphere were both amazing! Will definitely go back. Highly recommend to anyone with good taste. Not great for kids though.

This place is amazing! We had charcuterie for an appetizer and the scallops. My husband had the red velvet brownie and marshmallow ice cream for dessert. One of the best meals ever. They are able to accommodate food allergies and it was no issue to ensure the charcuterie and entree were gluten free. Our waiter, Alex, was amazing and helped us choose from the charcuterie menu.

It's a pretty cool place have been there a few times but sadly the last couple times the service has been very slow and not because it was overwhelming busy by any means and the food seems to have changed in quality, even seemed like we may have got some of the fake meat, not saying we did but none of us felt good after eating a "steak" which had a strange texture.

I made a reservation for 6:30 on a Thursday night 2/15. When I arrived, I realized the reservation wasn't necessary as there were mostly empty tables in the dining area upstairs. They also called me to ask about my reservation and did a cold hangup on me, which really didn't make me feel welcomed. I pretended like it didn't happen and just tried to enjoy my evening. Our server was John, who was super nice and respectful. He gave us plenty of time to decide on what to order and didn't make us feel pressured to order right away. I started with the Spicy Crab Bisque off their seasonal menu, and I forgot to get a photo of that, but it didn't look like much. It was just a mostly white soup with a tint of orange and some bits of classic vegetables mixed in like onion. I was expecting there to be lumps of crab in the soup, but it really just had a few tiny bits of crab in the soup. The flavor really shined through in the bisque. It was a nice balance of spicy and crab flavor. The crab was definitely in the foreground for the flavor, and the spiciness was the background and leftover taste in your mouth. For my main, I ordered the Gateway Cassoulet, which is a chicken confit, duck sausage, and pork belly served with broccolini on a white bean puree. I first tried the chicken and was disappointed. It was a little dry, which for a chicken thigh is hard to do, so it made me think that they already had it cooked ahead of time, let a good portion of the juices run out, and just reheated it in an oven. I shouldn't be guessing that. The price item for the dish is $28, and you don't get very much to eat, so I would expect the food to be of good quality. The pork belly is about a little bigger than a saltine cracker and wasn't anything special. It tasted kind of bland, I was mostly just tasting the fat it was probably cooked in, and I believe it was overcooked a little. My favorite part of the dish was the duck sausage. I'm not sure how that's prepared, but it was really tasty, but I only got two silver dollar size pieces. It was tender, and had a savory but sweet taste to it. The white bean puree was satisfying. It had some oil mixed in with it as well. The brocollini was just 1 piece, and it wasn't prepared in any special way. It looked steamed with light seasoning on top. The atmosphere in this place is probably what makes this place stand out the most. The lighting is perfect for a date night, and the beer and wine go beyond what most places will be able to offer you. This place advertises itself as upscale bar food, so maybe my expectations were too high. I'd recommend staying away from the high dollar menu items. Just stick to a sandwich, soup, salad, or snacks. The charcuterie board options were too expensive for me, willing to give them a try. The portion sizes are 2oz and range from $10-$14. Making a good board would end up costing you about $40. They do have quality cheeses like Florys Truckle. You can get this at parkers table, and it is my favorite cheese. For a comparison, I got a Charcuterie board at another restraunt for $15, and it came with 4 different items, manchego and prosciutto, to name some, along with bread and a pesto. This place provides a nice experience, for a heavy price, and the food leaves you not satisfied for what you pay for. I personally won't be coming back.

Came with a party of seven, the interior is nice, I like the atmosphere. I had the duck salad which I will say was not close to my favorite salad ever, the barbecue sauce on the duck salad tasted very low quality and was like a fast food restaurant barbecue sauce. one of my friends ordered the Barbie flight of wine and mixed them all together to hopefully make it taste better. we had to remind our server at two different times about drinks that were ordered and never came out. overall the place did not give me a reason to go out of my way to come back to.

This is a hidden gem. I'm going to write a longer and more detailed review, but I wanted to get 5 stars up on this place asap. The level of detail, unique ingredients and their creative combination and preparation is very rare to find. Chef Marquis Benson is brilliant and put together an incredible menu and dining experience. We have traveled to over 20 countries and had fine dining in all of them. Bridge Tap House and Wine Bar is at the top of the list because of Chef Marquis. Thank you!

We had tickets to an event at the Stiefel theatre and this restaurant was close which is why i chose this place to go to. And I was extremely surprised! The food was great and it was a cute contemporary space with solid service! It seems to be on a pretty quiet street in downtown St. Louis and it was busy, so I guess I am late to the game on this place. The lamb meatballs was a solid standout, don't know if it is seasonal, if so they may not be on the menu now.

Overall a positive shareable late night experience. T was our server and he was very knowledgeable and helped us through the extensive beer list. The soup is a potato cauliflower blend. Possibly could have been seasoned a bit more as the ingredients are bland by their nature. The shrimp/corn was an A+. The beers we chose were just ok. That's on us. Next time we'd share the beef medallions as T recommended. Always listen to T. Try this place. Quaint with a cool vibe set in a quiet area.

Bridge is one of my favorite spots in the entire city! From the ambiance to the hospitality to all the amazing food, you can tell that every little bit of your experience is handcrafted with care! Malik was our server and was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to all of our needs! He really went above & beyond to make sure me and my best friend had a great girls night out. Mason, the manager, is so kind and knowledgeable as well! I appreciate when management comes around to check on the service! Marquise (I apologize if I spelled that wrong) made the most DELICIOUS pound cake with blueberry compote and marshmallow ice cream... everything was made from scratch & so divine! Super grateful to these young men making our night so amazing!!! Keep up the great work

Our server was very attentive, there's a romantic feel to the restaurant. Very clean and well organized location. My pasta was a little too sour and acidic but I still enjoyed it. My dirty martini was a little on the bland side, tasted like just straight up vodka with zero olive juice. The strip loin was tasty however the roasted carrots were very raw and hard to eat.

My top tip is you should not be in a hurry. Two hours for appetizer and charcuterie plate is a very slow pace. Fortunately I was not in any rush. Staff not that knowledgeable. But, ok. One item to absolutely have is the pastrami off the charcuterie menu. WOW is all I will say. I had a martini. Don't do that. Not sure if their gin or vermouth, but very medicinal taste.

We had thought it was more of a wine bar than it was. It was very loud, service was slow. Only one waiter seen out and about.

Excellent food at an unexpected price point for a city. Service was through the roof and every item was completely balanced out with their sides and sauces. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy sit down dinner. Didn't make a reservation and looks like we might have gotten lucky. Might not hurt to do.

Oh my gosh this plus was such a delight! Parker our server was such a gem! We sat at the bar and had incredible service. The food was incredible. The wine selection was one of the best I've seen. The owner was so kind and she let us sample an Italian wine. It was delicious. So thankful for that. The red velvet brownie was TO DIE FOR. We were told they make them individually to keep them delicious and moist. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I'll definitely be back.

Tonight was a birthday celebration! It was a huge party of 16 people! T, our waiter was on point! He didn't break a sweat. He was able to navigate all the many personalities at the table. The drinks were good. T had great recommendations for food and drinks. Very charming and engaging with everyone. The drinks came out in a timely manner, food came out in a timely manner surprisingly very quickly. The owner was very accommodating to the birthday Lady. There were two vegans and they were able to customize a meal for them. The food was good!the Beef tenderloin was well cooked. The white pasta, scallops were good the shrimp was great. The only off item was the purple potato soup. It was too much vinegar. My grilled cheese with ham was really good. I would've asked for some aioli or Mayo next time. The tomato soup was ok but definitely tasted better with the sandwich dipped in. The red was was slightly bland Definitely a nice ambiance and good music. Nice spot for a date night or for a group dinner.

The best place for date night. Everything we order here is always incredible and the staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. One of our favorites!

Very creative place. Has handmade pasta, fresh bread, seasonal vegetables both with dinner and inside soup. Dishes such as mushroom pate, brisket bahn mi, and capellini are certainly beyond what one would expect from a tap house and wine bar. Was interesting to have a "wine flight".

My husband and I came here when we were in town for the night because it was close to our hotel. We came at 5:30pm on a Thursday and it was not crowded at all. We sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and attentive. We ordered the hummus and focaccia appetizer which was delicious. My husband got the Bao buns as his meal, which we didn't love because it was like a pretzel bun, lots of bread with almost no meat. Our drinks were amazing though.

The ambiance is perfect. The selection was multifaceted and variegated. The staff paid attention to details. Good price too.

This place is different in downtown. As we walked over from our hotel we arrived and actually thought it was closed due to how dark they keep it inside. It was shown to take 52 taps with a wide selection of beer, but we soon found out that was not the case. My buddy tried some of the craft brews while I ordered an old fashioned. My drinks were amazing but on the sweet side for an old fashioned. We ordered food, I had the smoked chicken and my buddy had the Salmon. Both were okay but nothing special. Bar tenders were cool but even sitting at the bar the place was loud, mostly from the upstairs patrons. Don't need to go back. It was average at best

This place is so cute! It is very calm and relaxing with a dark, candle lit vibe. Our server was so helpful! He gave us the best selections for what wine would go best with whatever food we ordered. To be honest, I thought everything on the menu looked amazing so I just asked him what I should get (or what was his favorite). He suggested the smoked sirloin sandwich. It was amazing! I'm dreaming about it ahhaha. Such a smoky flavor and the meat was so tender... not fatty at all. The au jus also had a smoky flavor. I ate every bite. He also helped us build our own board which all of the items are all a cart. We didn't know what to mix together for cheeses and meats, etc. He made suggestions and gave us a good selection of each. I was impressed with all of them. Will definitely be going back, hopefully soon! It was freezing in there though! Bring a sweater or jacket!

Bridge Tap House and Wine Bar were able to host our group (14 people) for a nice dinner to celebrate someones wedding. We ordered charcuterie boards and a some entrees and lots of alcohol. Overall the experience was great. We got to try a ton of different wines liquors beers and mixed drinks and they were all amazing! The food itself was good! Our charcuterie board had a myriad of cheeses and some meats and they were all delicious. Out of the entrees the steak was definitely my least favorite. It was chewy and somewhat tough; but everything else I got to try was good! Overall we will definitely be back for a nice wine night. (We did order a flight for $22 and it came with 3 full glasses, best bang for the buck, but not sure if that's normal)

Great Craft Beer selection and top-tier service by the staff and team. I've brought many out of towners here to share a little STL flavor with them.

Awesome little spot tucked away in downtown! Cool vibe inside, along with some outdoor seating if preferred, but all is socially distanced and handled properly by the staff. The Heavy Riff Daisy Glaze might be one of the best IPAs I've ever had, for starters. So, a good recommendation off the bat. We had the Brie-based cheese plate which provided just the right amount of food. Finally the main courses hit the spot. The Cuba-Missouri was awesome, from the perfectly toasted bread, to the delicious pork... totally nailed in. The rainbow trout dish was also tasty. Most importantly, the tomato bisque is a must have (replace the chips for it, you won't be disappointed). Overall, super friendly staff, great food, and good vibe, especially considering covid circumstances. Drop in!

I was looking for a place we've never been to before. A place that is nice and slightly intimate but not intimidating. A place with a good variety of beer on tap and a nice selection of wine to satisfy both of our opposing interest when it comes to adult beverage selection. Enters Bridge Tap House and Wine Bar. Made a 6pm reservation and we were seated immediately at a second floor high top table. For a Friday night, the place wasn't super busy. The bar area had several people enjoying their meals and drinks but upstairs, there were only a few occupied table. Our waiter, Josh came immediately to take our drink orders while we perused the menu. They have helpful tabs for ease of finding the menu page you're looking for with guided labels so you don't end up flipping through every single tab. Unfortunately, we were told upfront that they were out of bison and a beer that my husband really wanted to try. He ended up getting just a hefeweizen in the mean time and we looked at their other pre-assembled charcuterie boards for possible options other than the bison board. We settled for the duck charcuterie and added a port cheese with it. The description says creamy and sounded mild and they weren't lying. It was actually great cheese for my wine. I ordered a glass of the old faithful... A Cabernet Sauvignon from California. I would have liked to try their other selection of Cabernet, unfortunately, I can't and wouldn't want to drink a whole bottle by myself and there's a limited selection for wine by the glass. The duck board was delicious though. The focaccia was fresh, well-textured, and hot. I don't eat much bread so my husband got to enjoy half of my share as well. He loved it! The duck sausage paired so well with the mustard sauce. For my main entree, I ordered the bone-in pork chop. The menu said it was brined and you could tell from how flavorful it was at every bite! It was served with some wild rice and grilled asparagus. So delicious! My husband got the Cuban with a side of Gjetost mac and cheese and some potato salad. He gave me a bite of the potato salad and it was really good. I could tell they added some horseradish which brought the flavor to a whole new level! Yum! Maybe I'm just a fan of horseradish but... It was probably one of the best potato salads I've had in a while. We ordered another round of drinks. I chose a beer for my husband. A sour one and he enjoyed it. We kind of wish their beer on tap list were a bit updated as we were told they were not and were worried about picking one that they no longer carry or are out of. I guess, that was probably my biggest gripe of the evening. We ended the night with a hazelnut torte topped with a carefully crafted tuile. Would I ever make a tuile at home? No way but I'd come here for some atop my torte. I couldn't eat the whole thing so we boxed the rest of my dinner and dessert and took them home. I'm so glad to have found and finally tried this place. We had an absolutely wonderful dinner and everything was delicious. The service was good, we had to wait for a couple minutes to get our waiter's attention once so we could order another beer but otherwise, he stayed on top of things and was very helpful and nice. I can't wait to come back or bring friends over here next time so that they, too, can enjoy a fantastic dining experience!

They only have 4 entrees, and was out of 1 of them by 6:30pm. It took an hour to get our food and there were only 10 other people there when we arrived. The shrimp fettuccine was so spicy, we couldn't eat it, and it was NOT described as a spicy dish on the menu. The waiter worked hard and had too many tables on which to wait. The red velvet Brownie was delicious. We will never eat there again.

Great meal here! My husband and I each had a pasta dish and we started with the marinated shrimp. Everything was delicious. Great wine and beer selection and really nice atmosphere.

The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers they have on tap. They have so many beer options to choose from, and you can get different sizes so you can try more flavors. The atmosphere is also cool!

We were told that the bar was our only option because a large party was coming in and that they weren't taking walk ins. This was fine until we noticed several staff members gathering around the host stand socializing and not tending to customers - our disappointment was instantly relieved by the great food that we had. Just wish we could've had a nice dinner at a table instead of the bar. We ordered the pickle plate, kale salad, and Korean bbq braised pork tacos. We highly recommend the pickle plate as a palate cleanser and to add a nice crunch to compliment any entree. Rotating menu. Extensive beer, wine, and spirit list. Portion sizes and prices were satisfying. 10/10 would go back to try other things but insist on being seated at a table.

This place is excellent! Our server was knowledgeable about all the wine selections and was very kind. We made our own charcuterie which was delicious and the place felt warm and cozy. Will definitely be back the next time we're in town!

Not sure where to start. Although the ambiance was nice, and the drinks were decent, the food was awful. And I do mean awful. I had the beef tenderloin which tasted like my grandmas pot roast re heated multiple times and the carrots it came with were the were pitiful shriveled shells. We had a Caesar salad to start which was so bitter and the lettuce wilted beyond life. Unless your going just for drinks- steer clear.
