When I arrived during the busy weekend rush, the owner was personally greeting everyone in line, sharing local history and keeping spirits high despite an hour-long wait. That level of hospitality is rare; it’s a third-generation family business, and you can really feel that pride in the "warm and inviting" atmosphere. The food is far beyond your average pub fare. I was blown away by the Chicken Scampi, which featured a perfectly breaded schnitzel topped with a complex, zesty blend of white wine, vinegar peppers, and hot chili over Parmesan rice, a total flavor explosion. If you're craving classics, the Fish and Chips literally melts like butter, especially when paired with their incredible garlic-smothered fries. I also highly recommend the Bacon Jam Sammich if you want something savory and decadent. To wash it all down, their beer selection is top-tier, though the Lavender Haze cocktail is a must-try for something unique. The layout is spacious and cozy, with a fireplace-warmed outdoor room that is dog-friendly, making it a perfect stop for pet owners. What a find. The chicken scampi was by far the best mix of flavours I have ever had for a breaded chicken schnitzel. White wine, vinegar peppers, hot chili, butter, maybe lime?? Omg. So good! Then set atop Parmesan rice! And Guinness on tap! Happy girl today. The staff were all super friendly and so welcoming. Highly recommend!!!

This Tavern feels familiar. A cozy, low lit bar with plenty of seating and a cool and comfortable vibe. 60s/70s rock playing not too loud thru the speakers and various music and sports memorabilia hung on the walls. TV’s with all the games on of course. Staff is all very warm and friendly. Everyone is attentive and on point. We enjoyed it so much, we ate here twice this weekend. The food is high quality, cooked very well, and there’s a great drink selection. I love the variety of burgers including Bison and Elk. Fish and Chips was a hit. Even the Apple Crumble Cake and the Coconut Cake were perfect. Also really enjoyed Oh My Gourd, a seasonal mixed drink with pumpkin bourbon. Very important mention: CHRIS was AWESOME! We got to chat with him for a bit and he really completed the whole experience for us. A very friendly and warm guy you could end up chatting with for hours. Seriously someone write a book on this guy! The Tavern is really a place you could say feels like home. As NYC locals we will definitely be back! Chris thank you for treating us to dessert! And thanks to the rest of the staff for being so awesome too! You guys have a great thing that is hard to find and we really love it!!

We were greeted by the owner who came out to let us know it was going to be a very long wait which was very nice. Once in the place was very warm and inviting. The atmosphere was great. The staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food....oh my goodness the food was worth the wait. It was delicious and plenty for what you paid for. 10/10 if we find ourselves back out this way would definitely come again!!

During the October season, stopping by is the only way your getting a seat, save for the bar seating. Food was out fast if you order fast. Beer I got was the Before and After and I got the Elk Burger. It was soon damn good! I sampled the fish and chips. They were amazing. Save for up in Gloucester! Mac and Cheese was homemade and the Naan Pizza was good too! Both excellent plates for the little ones! View was great too! SHOUT OUT TO THE HOSTESS BY THE STREET, SO FRIENDLY WITH MY KIDS AND THE FAMILY AND A PLEASURE TO TALK TO! SHE TOLORATED AN EAGLES FAN! SO GIVE HER A RAISE!

We went to last weekend while were visiting Sleepy Hollow- and yes. Its close to the Halloween, the whole town was packed with "tourists/non-local" literally everywhere with a long line- we were with our dog, so this place recommended as dog friendly. The wait was about an hour at 1:45pm- The owner sat outside the whole time entertaining the people in line, kindly sharing any useful informations with his local knowledge - the restaurant run through 3rd generation, he was very kind and attentive- the wait feels go faster-! They also let you use the bathroom, while you're waiting! once youre inside- its not packed- they adjusted enough room/sittings (not liked packed sitting in the city) we sat the outdoor room with a wall/fireplace due to the dog accompanied (other rooms must have a nice view of the bridge) very cozy and the service was kind and attentive. The beer selection was great-! We ordered prime burger and bacon jam Sammich, both comes with fries- food was decent bar foods- if you need anything lunch spot, and less loud (as they're outskirt of the mainliad area) also across they have new market with outdoor area that you can stop by as well, you should check it out-!

The good - the pretzel appetizer OMG - I am not a pretzel person but YOWZA - they were truly special. The chicken sandwich with bacon jam was also really good. The service was terrible. Our waiter came and we asked for a milk punch sample as suggested by the hostess and yet he never came back to follow up uf we wanted to order one or take a drink order at all as a result we just had water when we each were looking forward to a cocktail. Unfortunately I also have to question the overall food quality because they clearly use generic ketchup that is very noticeably inferior to Heinz and impacted the French fry game for us. Not sure we will return considering how poor the service was.

Albert K's review is spot on. I love Bridge View as an institution. Place is an excellent bar and watering hole. Main room is great for watching a game, side room is great for dinner with the family, and beer garden is great for day drinking. Service is fantastic and friendly as hell. Beer list is insane. They will have multiple Hill Farmstead options at any point in time, for reasons that escape me. And that is just a recognizable example. I have not had a drink here, but they look good too. Never had a bad time here. They have food too. It is perfectly edible, and even enjoyable based on what you order. Would just caution that it's not the focus--they certainly try--however this is a bar first. Burgers are a very safe bet, and they have a variety of different meat options including wild game. I've found the regular beef is best, although elk is tempting. Special are also worth trying based on what they have any given week. Otherwise keep it simple to bar classics, and you'll do just fine. Like most places during Halloween in Sleepy Hollow, this becomes a mad house. I would say it's worthwhile, however best to come early and avoid the crowds. Either way, we're lucky to have a great bar like this at home.

Friends picked us up from the Tarrytown train station and we came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. We had a good meal, good service, good time catching up. Our 2 friends had the cheesesteak sandwich and both of them loved it. One had fries, the other had a side salad. He had a beer. My husband had the veggie burger with cheese (small upcharge). I had the veggie burrito. We ordered a side salad to share. He had an Amstel light, but I ordered an on tap stout. I must say, the tap list described it perfectly, a stout with hints of peanut butter and chocolate. SO right up my alley; I couldn't finish it (I rarely do) but I enjoyed every sip! All of had the beer pretzels, which come 4 to a serving so that was perfect for us! We each had one deliciously warm soft pretzel, and the platter came with a small Dijon mustard cup and a slightly larger small cup of melted (probably like a Velveeta?) cheese. We happily devoured those pretzels! The only false note, which turned out to be no big deal, was that our server inadvertently misunderstood my friend - he ordered French onion soup as an appetizer, which didn't come. She had thought he wanted it with his meal. But the manager said no problem and took it off the check with no fuss at all. I was very surprised and pleased that for an old-timer tavern they offer a number of vegetarian options! One caveat you should be aware of. This place is in an old building and is definitely not handicap accessible. One of our party has great difficulty walking, even with her cane. But the street-level entrance was chained off, we had to enter through the alley on the side. There's a staircase there that made it very difficult for her to get in. When we finally all got inside, there were 2 large groups seated in that upstairs room, and the hostess asked if we'd prefer a quieter environment - down a different staircase leading to a street-level room. We were actually fine in the upstairs room - actually got a kick out of a small wedding party, and we sang happy birthday to the woman in the other group who was celebrating. BUT again, getting our handicapped fried out, back down those alley stairs, was difficult. So just be aware, if this is an issue for anyone you're going with.

There was a line at the door at opening time on a Sunday morning in November when we visited. We had a great table with a lovely view of the bridge, seated downstairs in the bar area. It doesn't appear any of the upstairs dining room tables have views. We had fantastic service from Melanie, although she bragged about the burgers, which led two of us to order them. And they were nothing special at all. Burgers were both cooked under temp. The medium-rare was rare and the medium was medium-rare. They were thin patties with little to no seasoning. Very disappointing after she talked them up. The other two in our party both got the bahn mi and for a sandwich that is usually packed with flavor, found theirs to be quite lackluster. The fries, especially the garlic fries, were good. And the onion rings were pretty good, too, especially with the creole aioli dipping sauce. Nice lively atmosphere at lunch without being overly loud. All of the staff were friendly. I would definitely give it another shot, just try ordering something else.

I think we've decided this is our go-to stay-in-town hang out spot. So comfortable. So reliable. And the cider on tap is so yummy! We love the folks here. They treat us like family.

We stopped by for lunch after a walk in Rockefeller State Park. They have a parking lot across the street, but there is street parking as well. The owner and staff were very friendly and informative! We sat right by the corner table, so we did get a bridge view. There are blinds on the window, but the owner opened it up for us as we were getting seated. The Lavender Haze is gin forward. Really good honey flavor as well, though not much of lavender flavor. The Shrimp, Andouille and Grits had good textures, and was well cooked. Most of the flavor is the BBQ sauce. The Wild Boar Chorizo Burger with Fries had a delicious not gamey tasting patty, and soft sweet onions and bacon jam. It's a pretty big portion, with the toothpick helping hold everything together. The Fries were well seasoned and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It held its crisp well throughout the meal. Overall, a nice place to stop by for a hearty lunch.

Went again and weirdly ordered the same thing. But had forgotten that I had been to this place earlier. Sat outside in the garden area (they had fans going) and there is no bridge view :) outside, but still was a nice spot. Service is great and the shrimp po-boy and house salad are still amazing! I think only thing is the dressing was a bit too sweet for me and the tomatoes on the salad could have been fresher. My friend had the fig and goat cheese flatbread and she loved it - the caramelized onions were great

I love it here! I stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I've passed this restaurant many times, but from the outside, you could easily miss it ... The inside is spacious and has great views of the river, if you're in the window/near the bar. I loved the iced tea and the chicken sandwich here. The fries were good, too! I can't wait to stop back in here and try more of their food!

Normally I can't imagine not getting the Biscoff cheesecake, but they have a new dessert since the last time we were here... Lemon Blueberry cake... Amazing!

If you happen to be in my situation, moving from US Storage to Prime Storage, drop by at Bridge View Tavern for a good meal and peaceful atmosphere . You have a lovely view of the bridge & light house during sunset, plus not too far from The popular Bakehouse bakery . No pic cause I was so hungry , no time for that, I enjoyed the fried calamari & lobster bisque / mussels, very tasty , made fresh , the shrimp taco was fantastic with their side sauces. The pulled pork bahi was good. My child. Loved their jumbo chicken jumbo chicken tenders and brownie sundae. They have a nice cocktail list, but that's next time. The price you pay is worth it. Fast & quick service, free parking across the street or pay 2.40 dollars for 2 hrs . Their wall display/ design surrounds you with old school celebrities. Til next time!

You def get a view. The lighthouse is right across the restaurant and behind it mountains/hills. Just the right amount of AC and cold beer. The buffalo chicken sandwich was to die for, and so was the side of chipotle ketchup for my fries. A must stop, even if it's just for a cool down and some beer.

HILL FARMSTEAD ON TAP!!! And not just one!!! FOUR!! Food amazing, the salsa on the nachos was my fav. Staff friendly and happy! You can see the river from the restaurant, very nice inside and out. Unsure how some can get up the stairs to get in but I don't know if it's friendly to handicap and some elderly. I know my mother would complain of no ramp.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Your classic tavern vibes, but they also had a huge seating area. They had a wide variety of beer on tap, and offered samples to folks deciding what they'd like to order. I had the bacon jam chicken sandwich. It was yummy, but the spicy habanero slaw was not as spicy as I'd hoped. More sweet/savory sandwich than hot/spicy. Overall, it was a good meal.

In the area and decided to stop by and try this place. There is no parking lot, but since it was the early afternoon on a Thursday, we were able to find street parking. Upon entering, we were greeted by the hostess and immediately sat down. Our waiter came over and took our drink order. We ordered a Guinness and a Diet Coke. The drinks came out quickly. We then ordered French onion soup for appetizers. It came out quickly as well. It had really really good flavor! The only thing missing from it was that it did not have the piece of bread at the bottom of the soup. For entree, we ordered the build your own. I ordered the grilled chicken, with bacon and cheddar cheese. We also ordered build your own beef burger. The burger was definitely better tasting than the chicken. The sweet potato fries were good. The only complaint I have is that after our food was brought out, no one came over to ask us if we needed anything. We did need hot sauce, and napkins, but we did without either because no one ever came to check on us. We also wanted another Diet Coke and Guinness, but we didn't get a chance to order it. We finished our food and still waited about another 10 minutes for someone to come over. We finally got a chance to order dessert, so we ordered the banana foster cheesecake. This was okay. The outside of the cake was room temperature but the inside was a bit cold. I couldn't figure out if they had warmed it up or if it had been thawed. Also, the dessert menu says that every cake comes with ice cream, but don't be fooled, cheeseCAKE doesn't count for this! Overall, food was up to PAR with what I expected. Service could have been better. Ambiance had a bar vibe.

My sister recommended this place as she has been here before. This time we brought our parents (and our parents are so far the pickiest eater) don't get me wrong, this has its own pros and cons! Arrived mid afternoon for an early dinner, parking was huge. By the time we got there there was already a line! (They must be good then, huh!) we were asked if its okay to be seated in the bar area we are fine, our parents nope! (Too loud they say!) so the lady said so maybe around 30-40 minutes depends if somebody leaves. Waited for 20 mins and we were asked if its okay to be placed in the smaller area they have. We were fine, ordered some fall cocktails. It was great! (I got strawberry lemonade) as a whole my parents loved the calamari, we devoured it and got pita with figs, onion and cheese. Imm the only one who got burger because why not. Only problem was I asked for medium I got well done. My mom, dad and sister all got salads and loved it!

We visited this place mid-day on a Tuesday and was able to be seated right away. There was a large parking lot next to the place, making it easy to get to. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which was amazing. I also had the Wild Boar Chorizo burger with garlic fries. The burger was delicious, but I wasn't sold on the garlic fries, so next time I'd keep them plain. Delicious food, great view of the water, and friendly staff. This is a must visit place.

1st of all, the bridge view is minimal. 2nd, the food experience was mixed. The elk burger was dry but the beef burger was delicious. The service, though, was great.

This is a solid tavern. I've had burgers, pretzels and beer/wine here with friends and family a few times and it's very consistent. I feel like the pretzels used to be better lol but the service is lovely and the vibes are super chill. Great place to grab a beer and a bite.

Was meeting up with a friend from NJ and this was about halfway between us. Snowy Tuesday night and it was about halfway filled. Sat immediately and service was quick. Food was delicious. We both ordered a burger from their special menu. I didn't order a beer, nothing was jumping out at me. Not likely to come back simply because it's nowhere near me, but I would if not.

Very good menu and delicious view. It's worth the wait to get in. We waited almost 45 min. But the food was good. Service great! I recommend this place and will definitely be going back.

A very enjoyable lunch! The onion soup was one of the best I have, fish and chips with three big pieces of very fresh cod covered with a perfect airy batter, shrimp and grit had a good kick with a spicy sauce drizzled on the side. You can control how spicy you want this dish to be. Service was exceptional, friendly, and attentive!! The owner walks around and greets everyone!! There is not much of a view, but the foods will bring me back!

We were walking around Beekman ave, got hungry and stumbled across this tavern. It was around 5pm on a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded so they sat us right away in their beer garden outside which was heated and covered. Food was bar food which we expected but was really tasty! Comfort food with their IPA was exactly what we needed! Vietnamese sandwich was delicious and was pleasantly surprised! Place is close to the water too, nice view outside.

We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday. Great cozy tavern with nice views. Think it would be nice to sit outside in warmer weather. Bar area was busy. We enjoyed the French onion soup, nachos and Cobb salad. The grilled chicken on the salad was moist and nicely seasoned. Would definitely recommend for a casual dining experience.

They refuse to accommodate people with disabilities. They told me fried who js 80 And disabled, she needs to wait 2 hours to get in

A great location which probably adds to the surprisingly high costs. But hey, when in NY... I was most surprised by the Happy Hour beer being $6...for a draught! Food was very good and the ambience cool with a great soundtrack. The service was exquisite attention and friendly. Thanks!

Had a great lunch here after doing a hike nearby. We drove up from NYC and they sat us in the beer garden and provided a bowl of water for our dog Mia. Our server Brian was so nice and attentive and Mia really liked him. We got the calamari and french onion soup to start, the bacon jam chicken sandwich and fish & chips with garlic fries as a main, and a beer and coffee for drinks. Food was delicious, fries were cooked to perfection and the garlic oil/spices they add on were delicious. Fish was light, flakey, not dry, and crispy. Calamari portion size was excellent. Nice attentive staff, great food, cold beer, and the beer garden was cozy - had walls for the wind and some heat lamps too. I'd love to come back!

Exactly what I needed! I took a detour going from Connecticut back into nyc to enjoy the scenery and was looking for a relaxed, delicious lunch. Patty introduced herself by name - call me old fashioned but that always makes me feel like a vip! I ventured out of my norm and ordered the elk burger. Glad I did! Lovely stop!

Five stars all the way. This place is always packed, and with the new developments all around, the crowds will be sure to grow. It's worth it. Unbelievable burgers. Friendly staff. Exceptional memorabilia covering the walls. Two floors of seating, get to the large bar. Great beer selection.

Love this place, been going for years. The back room is OK but definitely not as nostalgic as sitting in the main restaurant. Anyway we had sandwiches, the nachos were excellent and surprisingly the salmon entree was very good. Always great beer selections

Tough parking. The hostess' were young and as a tourist killing time waiting I asked them about things going on and their best answer was a thift store. This is a Halloween area and it was a few days before Halloween? This answer was so off to me. Inside it's dark and the view? How could we see it as they were blocking all the windows. I don't understand how this place is highly rated. Our waited was nice but He never offered my 2 year old a drink so we shared and then I couldn't get him over to our table to get any more water and I was thirsty just getting off a 4 hour car ride to get here. The mac and cheese was to be shared and that's what we did but but was a high cost for a small serving size plus it wasn't that good. The chicken bacon jam sandwich...it tasted like store bought bacon bits- the worst I have ever had. Looked like dog food as well. it's supposed to be sweet! The hostess suggested garlic aioli fries to my 12 year old and it was smothered. It was a little to fancy for a 12 year old so we didn't eat it. I would not go back here again

This is THE place for craft beer enthusiasts! Bridge View always has the best selection and rotating tap list of highly sought craft beers. We love sitting in the beer garden, although it can get hot back there. Service is quick & friendly. My favorite thing I've eaten here is the Bahnmi sandwich. I didn't love the nachos, they were ok. Also appreciate that they have their own parking lot and you don't have to find street parking.

On a short trip to New York stopped by to eat. First I will say I loved the renovation that wrecked done to create this tavern and beer garden. Parking was no problem, which is a plus since I come from Kentucky were i am usebto parking lots. Wait staff was some of the friendliest I met. Food was fantastic and at fair price. Would highly recommend

We were here once before, and remembered it was good. So my husband was looking for a good burger! He had the burger w fries. I had the shrimp tacos! No skimp on the shrimp! Gave 3 large shrimps in each of the 2 tacos! Onion rings were amazing! Service was great. We had a wonderful server, Laura!

Nice service. Very accommodating and positive attitude. They didn't rush you, let you enjoy the meal :) Great beer selection and cocktails. The bar has a nice view on a clear day (even on a windy day not bad). Had the burger and po boy sandwich, both came with very crispy fries !!!

*** 3.5 stars *** We went the weekend of Halloween and there was a crazy line outside. They were going around telling people that it would be upwards of two hours to get seated, but we were seated in less than thirty minutes (not sure if they were managing expectations or just really horrible at estimating wait times). The beer garden upstairs, to our surprise, was actually a covered patio (they allowed dogs). There were a lot of interesting beers (it's a beer garden after all) but the food menu was pretty standard. I guess I expected a bit more given the crazy line but we had a very nice meal (I just had a salad with chicken, which I admit is a boring choice on my part). This would be a fun place to come with a group, but probably not worth a long wait.

Amazing, interesting, flavorful menu items. Staff is so kind and patient. Manager comes around and makes sure everyone is doing good. Calamari was delicious - wish there was more sauce! My chicken sandwich was juicy and moist, and the haberno slaw was a great touch. Fries were piping hot. Would highly recommend!

We went yesterday (Saturday 10/25/25) to grab a bite to eat before the parade. There was a line outside to get in. One of the owners, Chris, was outside managing the line, greeting customers, and providing wait time updates. Chris was SUPER nice and accommodating. He initially quoted us an hour, but he hoped it would be shorter. After about 25 minutes we got a bar side table. We got Hudson North Ciders, a Smokehouse burger, and Shrimp Po Boy. Probably the best restaurant and meal we've had in a few years. Atmosphere fit the Sleepy Hollow vibe. Highly recommended.

Lovely and quiet restaurant (a nice change from the nosiness of most of them!) a little further down Beekman than most of the restaurants. Loved the hostess at the door - she was awesome! Server was fine, friendly. My Bloody Mary was okay, not amazing. But my cousin and I split the nachos and the Mac and cheese (both appropriately appetizer sized) and loved both. In fact, shhhhh... we got a second order of nachos

Really excellent place. It's quieter during the day. They're very popular. Service is very friendly. Patti was so kind! Food is great. I wish I had ordered the fish and chips. They looked really good! The burger, too!

Enjoyed the outdoor area which had overhead heaters. Menu was pretty interesting. elk, bison, etc burgers. Shrimp tacos were good. Waiter was patient with us in waiting for us to order. Coffee was good also. Definitely would return. Big parking lot!
