Great value for money. Rooms are humble but the beds were comfy and the bathroom was modern. For $160 a night in a tourist town, no complaints at all.
Was very happy with the restaurant experience aswell. The staff were lovely and the service was great. Food was affordable, came out quick and the chef nailed it every time. I had the steak sandwich, the chicken parmigiana, and the fish and chips. The only nit pick I had was that the salad dressing on the salad that came with the parmigiana and fish and chips was pretty much just olive oil, other than that everything was fantastic. Highlights for me were the fish, which was crispy and golden; and the wedges that came with the steak sandwich.
They also have a range of beers brewed on site. I tried the pale ale, rice lager and amber ale. All were amazing. A little on the pricey side at $14.50 a pint, but that seems to be the case every where you go at the moment.
Lastly, they provide a complimentary self serve continental breakfast if you stay there. I was pleasantly surprised with this. I was expecting stale pastries and cereal but was greeted with fresh bread, a range of cereals, a nescafe pod machine, and a range of yoghurts and fruits.
