On our way home to California after visiting my very ill grandfather in Washington, our family of five placed a takeout order from Bridgewater Bistro. Three of us — my mom, my younger brother, and I — have celiac disease, so we called ahead to explain our needs and confirm gluten-free options. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the staff asked, “What is celiac?” — a concerning response after we had made the effort to communicate our dietary needs.
While picking up our food, a man came out from the kitchen and said to my mom and younger sister, “Oh, are you having a feast?” When they explained it was just dinner for our family of five, he replied, “Are you sure it’s not 500?” This felt unnecessary, unprofessional, and out of place — especially given the seriousness of our dietary concerns and the reason for our trip.
For a restaurant that promotes itself as attentive to gluten-free customers, this experience was disappointing and left us questioning whether our needs were taken seriously…
Over all we spent $160 dollars photos will be attached and the calamari was good, the chicken fettuccine lacks much taste but the chicken was good. The kids meals are very small
Portions.
