Bridgewater Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

It is first all about location & this is ideal for walking anywhere in downtown with restaurants on all sides. Staff were all great, enjoyed chatting with Kerry at the desk. Room was simple & clean that's all I needed, ice machine on first floor but glad there was one. Liked I can open window to let in fresh air, dark curtains to sleep in. Lobby was comfortable for waiting for ride, loved that there is airport shuttle & luggage hold after checkout with later flight. Always saw staff cleaning & smelled fresh every time I came in, though was some construction still with updates going on upstairs

Location is ideal, front desk staff is wonderful, airport shuttle is clutch. Very simple but does the job. My only complaint is the whole hotel has a mild underlying cigarette smell. Sometimes it was worse than others but seemed to always be there.

Hotel is a bit old but rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice to have an air conditioner on a warm day. Disappointed that breakfast was not available but morning coffee was excellent; good restaurants are nearby. Good shuttle service from the airport and to the train station (when calling the hotel for a shuttle, say “front desk” to the automated system). Great location for walking around downtown and by the river. Definitely would stay here again. ||Tip: good local bus service, very reasonably priced and if you’re over 60, buses are free!

Rooms: I have a nice king room that’s clean and well kept. It’s just me so the space isn’t an issue as I use it for nothing more than a place to lay my head and shower. Shower is a tad small but I’m no small framed individual (6’ and 320lbs) and still fit fine. Room service: they’re amazing, they know we work an odd schedule and sleep during the day. They have been amazingly accommodating to our odd schedules and come back later in the day to check on our rooms as to not wake us early in the morning. We didn’t request this, they just did this on their own. Close walking distance to multiple restaurants and evening venues. I highly suggest Bobby’s across the way, 12/10 restaurant. Front desk is very friendly.

Anyone who is saying it’s clean either don’t have eyes or live dirty. There is black mildew/mold growing in the corners of the TINY shower. The ceiling mucked with sticky dirt dots. The room is not updated, kind of run down and small. Parking is limited and when it’s full, the lot is 3 blocks down the road, having to walk which I would assume is unsafe considering the front door is locked. I do not recommend this place. We cut the hotel stay short and moving to another hotel.

Great hotel nestled perfectly in downtown Fairbanks. Amazing service and the staff was extremely friendly. Plenty of food options within walking distance. They do not have a complimentary breakfast but for the cost you can't beat the location.

I was shocked when I began planning our trip at the cost of lodging in Fairbanks. I decided to forego my usual choices when I saw HGIs for nearly $1000/night.||This is a bare bones Wyndom. The room is plain yet super clean. The staff is super pleasant and helpful. The location was an easy walk to most restaurants and the bus depot.||After getting over the sticker shock, I would recommend the hotel.

Basic hotel but it was clean and the staff was friendly. Centrally located in downtown Fairbanks so it’s a good location if you don’t have a car. ||Would have gotten 4 stars but they put us on the first floor all the way in the back in a room that looked out at a wall about 3 feet away. Basically a cave. At least it was a clean cave.
