Brighton Beach

Endless beach, Coney Island Amusement Park and miles of Boardwalk. Great shops 1 block from the beach. Early Russian settlement. Well worth the visit. The F-line subway takes you from downtown Manhattan right to the beach in about an hour.

My my everyone should come to Brighton Beach :) it's much better than coney and also much less crowded if you're looking for a more calm and less secluded spot 😉 fantastic beach much cleaner than coney island also ! Defintely stop by and take a look. Lots of vendors on the beach selling drinks and food such as tacos.

Brighton is down the way from Coney Island, you can get there via the boardwalk. If you love the movie Brighton Beach Memoirs, then you’ll want to take the walk and check it out. There are a few German restaurants on the boardwalk and available restrooms between the two beaches however fewer bathroom the closer you get to Brighton. So if you need to go and your taking that trek from Coney Island to the Russian neighborhood, it’s a good idea to stop first. Granted, this report out was from the first day of opening season (Memorial weekend), off season availability may be different. Pushing strollers, wheelchairs or walking with persons with limited balance - be aware there are some uneven board planks that can jump right out at ya. Definitely an iconic spot and with checking out.

It’s a nice beach, went here for the first time and it was a nice vibe. The water isn’t Caribbean lol but it’s what u can expect from an American beach a little cold at first but once your body adapts to the temperature of the water it’s fun time🤩. The sun was perfect and it was crowded but we still had ample space to lay out our blankets and umbrellas 🌂 and we had ourselves a great tan 😆. The views are great which is expected, it’s Coney Island 🏝️ love it over there and there were Life guards present on the beach so I thought that was great. Didn’t see any dogs on the beach so I’m not sure if dogs are allowed but there was a picnic area and public restrooms available and as far as playground goes, the beach is the playground 😆.

the best place in New York to come here for 5 minutes, witness a person get shot because of a conflict on the road, and then for 4 hours not be able to leave the crime scene cordoned off by the police, simply because your car was parked 30 meters away .

A very popular place for walking in the cool season and for a beach holiday in the hot season. The wooden embankment is so wide that there is enough space for pedestrians, cyclists, people with children, people jogging and people with animals. Along the promenade on one side there is a beach, and on the other there is an amusement park, shops with food and souvenirs. There is also enough space on the beach, but this place attracts all of Brooklyn in the summer, so it is often very crowded here. Getting there is also convenient, close to metro and buses. There is also a small but very beautiful aquarium nearby. The area around is very well ennobled - there are drinking fountains, showers, first aid stations, toilets and all kinds of playgrounds. But in the evening, due to the large number of people, it becomes very dirty, a lot of garbage.

An amazing excursion on a weekday. Don't come here on the weekend if you can help it! It's 10x less crowded during the week than it is on the weekend. Some say Brighton isn't as nice as the Rockaways but I disagree. It was very pleasant. Pictures from a Tuesday evening in August.

The water looks like not so clean, but the beach sant and activities and boardwalk area so nice.
