Brighton Store & Cafe is the perfect spot to stop and recharge after a day of outdoor activities in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The views are absolutely amazing—whether you’re sitting inside or outside, you get a stunning view of the mountains and the surrounding nature. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery, especially after a hike or ski trip. The staff is incredibly nice, always welcoming and making sure you feel at home. It’s clear they care about providing a great experience, and it really shows in the service. The food is fantastic, with a lot of options to choose from. I loved their soft-serve ice cream, and they also have great snacks, sandwiches, and drinks to refuel (no actual gasoline). Whether you want something light or a hearty meal, they’ve got you covered. Another bonus is the bathroom, which is clean and well-maintained, something I always appreciate when I’ve been outdoors for a while. The store has a good selection of supplies too, from drinks and snacks to small souvenirs, making it a great place to grab anything you might need while you’re in the area. Overall, Brighton Store & Cafe is a fantastic spot—great food, amazing views, friendly service, and the convenience of having a clean bathroom. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick snack or enjoying a meal while taking in the views, I highly recommend it if you’re in Big Cottonwood Canyon!

The chicken here is to die for! Always a great value for a fresh and quality offering! Great tasting food, fun environment and a few steps away from the slopes! I’ll be back.

This is a nice little lunch and snack spot in the canyon. Nothing too much here besides some souvenirs and some lunch options including chicken and sandwiches. Our drink was pretty good too!

I was very happy to find out that this spot has a Krispy Krunchy chicken locations. The tenders are great and the biscuits are amazing esp the blue berry. Staff is very nice and a great atmosphere. Just wish they had the full Krispy Krunchy menu because the wings I had at another location is great

A cute local shop. We ate lunch there - hot options including hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers. The soft serve ice cream looked fantastic! There's a unique soda menu too. There wasn't any gluten free hot food options. But, I found gluten free guacamole & chips and sausage & cheese containers in a fridge! Also they had some gluten free jerky and candies. Bathrooms were clean.

Todd you’re the man! One of a kind shop with amazing shakes and snacks! The pumpkin spice shake and the Heath bar shake were outstanding! So smooth and creamy and not overly sweet. A must stop shop!

Enjoyed dinner after a hike. Burger was pretty good, seasoned with a toasted bun! Nice! Great escape from the city!

Used to love this place. Kids walked over for some brighton swag and some ice cream only to see a sign on the door that says no cash. I walked over, and sure enough, "no cash". There was another little boy crying as his grandpa was telling him they couldn't get ice cream because they don't take cash. It sucks to have disappointed kids.

Yelp
I was just out for a scenic drive in the mountains and stopped here for some snacks. Once I realized they have ice cream cones, I was all in for one. Super cute little place and the staff was very friendly. They are 100% no cash so make sure you have a card.

Yelp
A middle of the road place to get ice cream or supplies after a day on the slopes. They have the usual tourist trinkets and basic supplies and a slew of ice cream shakes. Hubs got the grasshopper which is a chocolate shake with mint M&Ms and whipped cream. It was decent. I'm a basic bitch so got a vanilla shake and it was good. Not stellar, but good. They have clean rest rooms. The view is glorious of course. Hard not to be beautiful at the top of a mountain. They have a handful of tables outside. Friendly staff.

Yelp
Nothing fancy here but this quirky cafe makes a nice burger. Given the location you can easily take a nice hike to walk off the fries. Simple burgers & fries. Friendly service. Rustic locale. Beer from the store's fridge if you're so inclined. ~m

Yelp
With 9 dollar for a 10 oz pretzels bag, and then tasted awful trail mix, I gave two stars for the clean and convenient of the restroom

Yelp
Cute little country store and cafe atop the canyon at Brighton. We hit this place up after hiking to get a snack and perhaps an ice cream treat on hotter days. The store side is lacking in the snack department, but I suspect its because they'd prefer you ate at the cafe instead of a grab and go meal. They do have some lower calories options, like the Nabisco 100-calorie snack packs and little hummus and pretzel packs in the cooler. They don't have a lot beyond that and chips. They have a ton of novelty candies for kids. The cafe serves typical diner fare, but is way on the pricey side. One day on the specials board I saw root beer floats for $5. Ouch. The counter where you pay has a lot of delicious looking baked goods in it like humongous cookies and muffins, but I've never tried them. We have never dined at the cafe, but plan to, eventually. They have a monopoly being the only place to grab a cold drink and a bag of chips on the mountaintop, but I enjoy the general-store look of the place and the charm of the mountain resort in general.

Yelp
What a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery! The cafe is really reasonably priced for being at the top of a canyon, and the weekend BBQ is unbelievably priced! $6 gets you a burger, chips and a drink? That is crazy for the top of a canyon! Everyone is mellow and friendly. The pre made sandwiches in the cooler make a great quick meal and taste so good! I woul definately recomend their colosal rice krispy treats! YUM!

Yelp
The cafe that moved to Milleys chalet. I took my boys here for lunch one day after fishing. We ordered the fish and chips and split it. It came with two cod fillets that were the size of my small palm. Not worth $9.50. They also charge an extra $1 for splitting a meal.

Yelp
Charged for NOT wasting food! ! What an awful and expensive breakfast experience. I ordered a meal which came with 3 eggs and a side toast. I told the server that was more food than I wanted since I was also sharing a pancake, so I asked her if she could just bring me two eggs and no toast so the food didn't get wasted. She said no problem and that I could substitute the pancake for the toast. When the bill arrived, nothing was itemized and I was over charged by $10- which was MORE than the cost of the breakfast. The server said that I was charged twice for substitutions- one charge for only having 2 eggs instead of 3 and another charge for NOT having toast AND they charged me for the pancake. I asked to speak with the manager but she was also the cook (and the owner) and wouldn't come to the register. The server agreed that the charges made no sense, but said the owner did not care. This was a horrible experience. Avoid this restaurant and CHECK YOUR BILL.
