Wonderful family short stay. Easily accommodating 24 of us and plenty of socialising space. Enjoyed 4mile loop walk along river, stepping stones up to tor and through dartmeet. Wild swimming in the river. Picksie land at bottom of drive with scrumptious pasties. We were unable to book for Sunday lunch in advance locally but enjoyed a fab meal at the Welcome Stranger near newton about 30 min drive. Cottage is on the upper level next to the Haystore. Which connects to the kitchen on upper level with patio and parking for 5 cars. Lower level (accessible by stairs ) under the Haystore houses some bedrooms and a sizeable lounge (bigger than you think). Info stand with local attractions. Lower level outside space with access to further bedrooms, hot tub, sauna, pool table, drying room and more parking is secluded from the camping area by a wall. Two huge fridges, two dishwashers, range oven.

A wonderful setting. We had the Barn for a family gathering. The hot tub, fire pit and snooker table entertained the children and adults alike. Several people went for local walks and loved the views. The rooms were comfortable. The kitchen had everthing we needed to prepare food and crockery, cutlery and glasses were in plentiful supply. We would certainly use the venue again.Thank you.

We've had a lovely Christmas holiday t and we absolutely loved it. Our friends and us definitely recommend it. The house is very spacious and clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of, when you are going away. The owners are very friendly and approachable. They popped around a couple of times to make sure everything is OK and to clean the hot tub. Also, they surprised us with a lovely Christmas tree and lovely Christmas decorations around the living room. Day and night we had hot water and the heating was on (the rooms were warm and cosy). Overall it was a great experience. Thank you!

Stayed at Brimpts both at the Barn for a group trip and at the cottage on a short family break. It is absolutely wonderful. Barn: Ideal group accommodation which is quite luxurious, comfortable beds, clean and warm. There is a dry room which comes i. very handy when on a kayaking trip, the jacuzzi is pure joy when recovering your aching muscles. The kitchen is clean and functional and fully equipped. Large communal hall with a big wood burner. Cottage: an absolute jewel! large comfortable sitting room with wood burner, lovely light and well equity kitchen, conservatory dining area with a large dining table. At the back there is a small yard also with a wonderful jacuzzi. Overall value for money is excellent! Can’t wait to get back! Not just the accommodation is wonderful, Brimpts make you feel welcome. The people that run it a lovely, friendly and helpful!

Stunning setting with the River Dart a brief, and beautiful, walk down the hill. I recently attended a retreat and love the location, layout and atmosphere, also the bed was honestly the most comfortable I can ever remember sleeping in. We mismanaged our travel and the owner was super helpful ringing round for a taxi on a Sunday, overall a great experience, thank you so much!

The camping field is on a slope, and if it has rained 🌧️ that day - then YOU ARE SCREWED, 1/2 of my nights were CHAOTIC with mud everywhere... 🏕️ - They have a couple picnic benches, a tap and an okay toilet block w/bins - Nice ppl in the houses tho, with 2x cats 🐈 - Also a BEAUTIFUL night sky + lots of stars 🌌

The Camping Pods are set in amongst the grass and wild flowers, looking across to Yar Tor. The interior smelled beautifully of wood. The lovely owners supply proper mattresses on the bunk beds, which made it feel like luxury camping. Fires are permitted in the supplied fire pits, and there are giant picnic tables set up near the pods for meal times. Brimpts farm is the perfect setting for a gathering of friends, and adventures on the moor.

We stayed in one of the camping pods here for a few days and had a wonderful time. A peaceful atmosphere in a really beautiful location. The pods are great basic accommodation for the price, perfect for sheltering from the rain and great to not have to worry about pitching your tent. I would highly recommend for anybody who is looking for a stress-free camping experience. We will definitely be returning!
