One of the most intense forts we have visited and very well preserved and documented. Excellent exhibits within the citadel and beautiful grounds. Be prepared for the long drive up that is very narrow and doesn't allow passing everywhere. Not sure how larger vehicles make it through the gates.

Get ready to walk and climb if you want to see the Fortress. There are many beautiful sights and views as well as informative displays in the Fortress. We had lunch as well and were treated to friendly service and good portions and, of course, excellent food.

This is a must-see destination on St Kitts. The fort and surrounding fortifications remain intact or are being restored and it must have been quite the impressive location and endeavor to build. The museum has several informative exhibits in the buildings inside the main fortress and the views from the gun terrace are magnificent. Be sure to check out the Artillery Officers quarters. No slumming it for them! There is an introductory film shown in the building below the ramp to the fortress that is worth watching. There are toilet facilities, a gift shop, handicapped parking and it looks like more facilities are in progress. The road up is very narrow in parts and the gates are very tight, so be sure to use your horn to alert others coming up or down. It would be helpful to remind people of this as they pay to enter, although there are signs.

Restored 18th century fort with great views of the Caribbean Sea. The drive up Brimstone Hill is not for the faint of heart - the road is steep and narrow.

Brimstone Hill Fortress is a must-see in Saint Kitts! The views are breathtaking, the history is fascinating, and the fortress itself is incredibly well preserved. We even spotted a few monkeys roaming around, which made the visit even more memorable. Great mix of culture, nature, and adventure—definitely worth the trip!

I was hesitant to come here because I’m not interested in fortresses or war. But, this national park is absolutely gorgeous, with a panoramic view of St Kitts and neighboring islands. What’s unfortunate is that the park does not make it clear that this fortress was built by enslaved people. Erase that history, and you erase the history of the site. We were grossed out by people with kids running around the site and talking about wondrous it is—what a feat of engineering. It isn’t wondrous. It is a beautiful site built on the heartbreak of enslaved people. This must always be acknowledged.

Amazing views and well worth the entry price of $30 the restaurant was very nice however we were charged about £7 for a bottle of water which I thought was a bit expensive, especially when compared to $3 for a bottle of beer. A nice bonus on the way down was that we saw about 20 monkeys.

Fantastic views of the island. The road up is steep, narrow and very windy but it's worth it. There is so much to see here. The cafe is also a great place to chill after exploring the ruins.
