We were brought here as part of a tour through the cruise line, and could not have had a better time. The driver dropped us off with about 30 minutes to walk around and see the area. I immediately headed up the walkway. (not quite stairs.) to the fortress up above got some incredible views of the oceans. There are also several rooms in the upper area that have placards with plenty of information about the history of the fort and the upkeep and a day in the life. There are several incredible photo opportunities of on the top deck. There were several other people that had seen some monkeys shortly before I arrived, we were told by our tour guide that they do not like noise, and therefore are not easily found in groups of people, however, as I made my way to the back of the fort to check out some of the portholes and open-area areas there was a group of monkeys walking through the trees that I was able to get a short video of… highlight of my day.
