Marvelous stay, my husband & myself experienced while celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was truly a unique and unforgettable experience from beginning to end. Our #47 lodge, situated directly on the lake, was exceptional particularly with the added luxury of the Norwegian SPA. Enjoying the 40°C hot water under a sunny blue sky was an absolute pleasure. The accommodation truly deserves its five-star rating, thanks to the spaciousness of the lodge, the bed quality and the generous shower. The restaurant, however, deserves even higher praise, with a seven-star rating for both the exquisite dishes and the impeccable service. Our special thanks go to Laura (who is always serving with a smile and kindness) and especially to Sylvain, who provided extensive and insightful explanations of the wines served. We are genuinely surprised the restaurant has not yet received a Michelin star, given the brilliance of the chef and the attentive team. A special thank you to the SPA team for the incredible 80-minute massage performed directly on the water. In few words, thanks to the entire property staff and especially to the persons who transported us daily by electric boat between the lodge and the shore. All property personnel contributed significantly to making our stay so enjoyable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our anniversary celebration so special.

In summary: lovely setting of the hotel with the lodges. Service and food are good. Massages not to be missed. There are some safety issues. We stayed 3 nights, 2 in a Spa Lodge and 1 in a Superieur Suite. Of course we have had breakfast and diner. My wife loved the authentic interior. We loved the tranquility of the lodge. The Norwegian bath is real nice, soothing your body. The bed with the round view of the lake is amazing and good. The showers very good. We had a lovely time. The exception is that travelling with the boat to the lodge is not real safe. There are no facilities at the ramp for boarding the small and wet boats, making that a difficult thing to do. There is nothing you can keep an hold on. As a result getting in the boat, as well as getting out at the ramp of the chateau, becomes a bit scary. My wife fell one time as well. Fortunately nothing broken, just some bruises. That could have been different. The suite is real nice. Good space, nice facilities and terraces with a great view of the lake. You need to be careful with the carpets, they slide easily. Mz wife had the special from the chateau. She came back a different woman. I had a manicure and a pedicure, my hands and feet came back nice and relaxed. Expensive, but definitely worth it. All in all we have had a lovely time.

A dog-friendly Relais & Châteaux nestled beside a tranquil lake, this retreat is as peaceful as it is picturesque. You and your four-legged companion can relax on the deck, watching ducks glide across the water and schools of fish shimmer below. Our room had its own private terrace, perfect for slow mornings. Some rooms are reachable only by boat, offering an added sense of privacy and a touch of adventure. You can even borrow one of the boats for a leisurely tour of the lake before ending the day with dinner and wine on the warmly lit terrace.

A great couples hotel… the whole castle overlooking the lake is dreamy. Pool and deck are made to relax. Service is pretty much aligned with a relais & chateaux pedigree. Dinner was not at the level of the menu’s description neither with the price. I would not go there just for that…. Breakfast on the other hand was very good.

A fantastic property, we really enjoyed our two night stay. We visited with our 1.5 year-old and she also felt very welcome! The grounds of the hotel are just breathtaking. The room was very well appointed with a nice lake view, sparkling clean with a really comfortable bed. The breakfast was exceptional and the restaurant was very happy to attend to our various toddler-related needs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Look forward to coming back!

The site is marvellous and so charming, we actually got married there 10 years ago (under the old management) and it was simply perfect and the food was amazing (Michelin starred). We occasionally come back to have dinner, but since they reopened with a new management, the chef is trying too hard and the food is not worth the price. Ingredients in this part of the world are so tasty, I ordered foie gras and fish but both tastes were lost in a mixture of overcomplicated flavours... we were also disappointed with the amuse-bouche and dessert. I am sorry to say this has ruined the whole experience for us. This time we also stayed at the hotel for our anniversary and I got woken up at 8:30am by the gardeners mowing the lawn right under the bedrooms... a small detail that can upset some guests...
