Brisbane Showgrounds

Visited Brisbane Showgrounds for the Good Things Festival. The venue is well-suited for large-scale events. Access via public transport was easy and convenient, making arrival stress-free. Inside, the grounds were kept surprisingly clean, and signage was well-placed, making it easy to navigate between areas. There were plenty of toilets available, which kept queues minimal. Impressively, the sound separation between the stages was excellent, with very little bleed. A solid venue for festivals.

I only come here for the rock and metal concerts... I don't know any other events but those are my favourites Very nice place to do those kinda shows, a lot of space, very good organization and all the staff is very friendly... They have water points all over the place to hydrate in the summer... The food area is super good, they have a lot of kind of foods, me as a vegan I can find a lot of options The beers they sell there is just enough, always is like 2 types of beers , red bulls and water, it would be nice if they can sell ice in a cup because in summer the beer gets too hot too soon but it is what it is

UNMARKED car meet was held in this venue, was very nice and definitely lots to do across the whole event plenty of nice cars, food was available there aswell and really just ended up being a good time. Really long line up around the whole block tho

We had an absolutely amazing day at The Ekka! My daughter’s dance troupe had the chance to perform, which was such a proud moment, and we loved every second of cheering them on. After the show, she had a blast on the fairground rides — so much laughter and excitement! The food was delicious (definitely recommend trying a bit of everything!),also had a few cheeky craft beers and we ended the day with a stunning fireworks display that lit up the sky. Such a wonderful family day out 🎆🎡💃

Brisbane EKKA - wonderful experience. It was really special to feed the farm animals, play some fairground games, pan for gems, go on some rides and eat some delicious treats food at the Showgrounds today. My 9 year old had excitement and fun around every corner. The entertainment in the centre arena was first class with leaping motorcyclists, rollerblading cowboys and showjumping. It was a drain on the wallet though, with 'Fun Credits' eroding the value of dollars and a lack of clarity on what could be 'won' at each stall so we had to be quite disciplined about our budget!

Night time entertainment Started with Australian Flag paraded around the arena by horses. Bumpkin band got crowd going Seeing the horse demonstrations and sheep herding from real dogs to robotic dogs . All the action of hot wheels Monster truck Acrobatic motorbikes Car races Lady in red dress draped over the horse singing with the croad shining their phone torches made a magical show. Then the fire works display with fire twirlers capped off a fun night with the family 🌙

Visited for Oktoberfest 2025. Great event and the showgrounds are the perfect location to host the event. Plenty of surrounding parking area, easy to walk to, ample room to accommodate. Great day out 🙂

Ekka would be a great family outing, but the strawberry icecreams seem to have reduced significantly in size, and there’s not as much free tasting in the Woolworths pavilion. Great atmosphere with thousands of people!
