A hidden Gem, with wonderful customer service and a smile. A bit of a challenge to find parking, but a nice and elegant restaurant . The wine selection is perfect and the food from entree to desert cannot be faulted. Everything from cutlery to fine china was simply prefect. The service was on time. Highly recommended and would definitely be going back

Came here twice this year~ definitely worth the flight from Sydney. Beautiful bistro with amazing food. Environment is great. Slow and peaceful. Full of artistic design

Probably the best meal that we had during our stay in Launceston, with the fish croquettes and bbq lamb leg being standouts! The service and wine list were also exceptional - highly recommend.

It was a quiet but fantastic dinner. Everything we had was delicious. Specially loved their market fish croquette, very yum.

Jamie was very welcoming and talkative and knowledgeable regarding wines. Food was great (we went with the degustation menu). The mushroom dish was unique. Time went by but didn’t feel it was that long. The building itself felt like an old heritage building but after you enter the atmosphere was great.

On the day we visited, there was only one server for the whole restaurant. He worked diligently and jumped from table to table and greeted incoming guest. However, the food was not up to our expectation, especially the braised Muscovy duck was too sweet that it felt like eating a dessert.

Absolutely outstanding meals and service amid a modern take on Victorian era decor. The meals had well balanced and nuanced flavours and enjoyable textures. The use of great local produce really enhanced the freshness and flavour. You could tell a lot of thought and love had gone into the menu creation. It really felt like food, elevated to another level. The service was prompt and professional, welcoming and friendly. The interior design was impeccable, as was the cleanliness. Save room for the delicious desserts!

This is a really nice, cute little restaurant, 60m off the main drag, but completely worth seeking out. We havered a bit before going in, wondering whether it would be any good, and would have much atmosphere (it wasn’t full) but were so glad we finally took the plunge. Sarah, the owner, was lovely and answered all my stupid questions with a smile, and actually the decor is great - kind of quirky and a tiny bit kitsch, but in a really good way. We had all five starters on offer, between three of us, as our meal, and each one was delicious. We all had different favourites, but I think the asparagus with poached egg and Parmesan custard might just have come out on top. But really, they were all great. After that, we shared the poached pear, sorbet and kind of caramelised shortbread for pudding and that was delicious too. Really, I can’t praise the place highly enough. If you like tasty and very slightly quirky food in a french-ish style, then give it a go. It was pretty darned reasonable price-wise too, given the quality of the food. Go, enjoy. You won’t regret it.

Yelp
I came here for a dinner celebration during my recent trip to Launceston. The decor of the restaurant is fancy, classic but not over the top. You will definitely not want to come in with shorts/ jeans and look out of place. Service was really good. The waitress was very friendly and checked on us periodically without being too intrusive. Food was excellent. For starters, we shared the scallop/ pulled pork croquette and totally loved it! I would highly recommend it. I had the lamb shoulder/ rack for main. A little over-done but still pretty good overall. My boyfriend had the vension and he said it was cooked to perfection. Nothing memorable really but I would recommend it if you just want dinner in a romantic/ fancy environment.

Yelp
We went for the degustation with friends matched with wines. Classic old world style inside with good service and generous wine servings. Food was good but probably 4/5. It was a fun evening with friends.
