Brit Hotel Les Comtes de Champagne

The hotel is right in the centre of Troyes and is divided into two parts half on either side of the road. We stayed in the main building in one of the “superior” rooms which had a four poster bed and massive arched fireplace! The rooms in the main building are all different and it’s a bit of pt luck as to which one you get. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. What more could you ask for?|On arriving we were shown to our pre-booked parking place across the road (I’d advise doing this, it’s worth the extra) and checked in in a very friendly and efficient way and throughout our stay all of the hotel staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was very good with a reasonable choice but the tables that had had been already used took a very long time to be cleared for new diners. This does need to be tightened up.

A bit shabby, but tidy. Quite fine for a night's stay. The breakfast is also pretty decent (unless you are a self-proclaimed barista...). Staff are amicable and helpful.

This was rather a nice surprise. The hotel is in the middle of Troyes (jolly convenient for visiting the Rashi house) It is simple and old-fashioned with no lift or air-conditioning. But it’s clean, with good showers, nice staff, who are very helpful, an effective fan in the room and is inexpensive. |Plus the breakfast is very good value at €11.50pp with a range of croissants etc, breads, cereals, meat, cheese, fruit and fruit salad plus home-made jam. Coffee not so great but that’s so often the way. |We would stay again.

None of my complaints are about the hotel other than they could do with air con, they did however supply electric fans which did help. The location on the other hand had us awake until early hours with drunken revellers. Then the early risers. That's the trade off for a city centre hotel. Otherwise a beautiful building which needs some decorating inside. There's a bar and breakfast was quite cramped but had everything.

One night stop over on the way to the Alps. Brilliant location, literally 2 minutes walk to all the restaurants and bars in the old quarter. Private secure parking for motorcycles. Rooms basic and clean and breakfast provided was good.

Superb friendly and helpful staff. Some parts of the hotel could benefit from further refurbishment. Some room features were lacking eg lights not working. Great location. Overall a good stay and would recommend to others.

Great hotel, amazing location right downtown (historic center) at a reasonable price. Staff is super friendly, hotel is family friendly. Great breakfast with freshly pressed orange juice. They even have a parking with a charging station for plug-in vehicles. We also liked the medieval atmosphere in this old house, it felt really cozy. We will definitely go back.

Not a very luxurious hotel, but great value for money. Inside an old historic building (or actually a couple of buildings, I assume) so tons of charm. A bit of a labyrinth, though. Parking available for 7€ (gated). Very friendly reception. Top location in the historic center.
