This is an amazing hotel. The rooms were big, really clean and the bed was huge! Nice to get complimentary port too. The staff were amazing, so kind and friendly and helpful. They helped with making reservations and even left bubbles and cakes in our room for my husband's birthday. The location is great, easy to walk to lots of the city from. Breakfast was good and generous. Can't recommend this place enough.

Great location on a quiet safe street close to many of Lisbon’s sights, activities and good restaurants. We were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to enjoy. The building was lovely. Our room was very nice for the 2 of us. Breakfast was more than fine. The staff were excellent and always helpful.

Our first time in Portugal and we started here. We loved the hotel and the staff. Courteous, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our early check in. The day front desk staff, especially the young man who helps with bags (Says-you) is such a gentleman! The breakfast is spectacular. The history is well preserved. Great location. Everything is walkable

We had our best hotel experience in Europe at Hotel Britania Art Deco. From the moment we checked in until the time we left we were well cared for. Sonia and Henrique offered us great meal and tour recommendations always with a smile and friendly word. Omar took care of our bags from the taxi to our room and even gave us a tour of the room and where to find everything. Superb service. The buffet breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of choices. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful!|It is an easy walk to train stations and metro. We highly recommend a stay here!

We stayed twice in a week at this hotel first in room 62 and than 64. We were glad we picked it. The staff are amazing friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious for a city hotel. The hotel has amazing history and charm. The breakfasts were enjoyable. My only critic at breakfast is that I like crisp bacon and the bacon was far from crisp. My girlfriend is gluten free and she had many options. I wish you can order an omelet but they only have scrambled eggs. There mini chocolate muffins were amazing. The shower has great water pressure. My only critic of the bathroom, the Shower Tub is very high so can be hard to get in and out of. A step by the tub could be helpful. If I come back to Lisbon would come back here for sure. They had a nice touch since we returned and they had left us flowers and a bottle of champagne for returning. Great hotel find.

Hotel Britania was unique with its art deco decor. Its location is excellent as it’s off the main street, so quiet, but easy walking to the main attractions and good restaurants. Our room was large, clean and beautifully furnished. The ensuite was clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. They looked like they enjoyed working there. Special mention to Victor. The extras of complimentary port and a coffee machine in the lounge/bar area ensured that it was the perfect place to relax. The best accommodation we have had in our 5 week trip. Highly commend.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and made to feel genuinely welcome. Every member of the staff went above and beyond with thoughtful hospitality, neighborhood recommendations, and numerous personal touches that made our stay exceptional. The hotel itself is a historical gem… beautifully maintained, with elegant Art Deco details that celebrate Lisbon’s history while providing all the modern comforts we could hope for during our stay. Every corner tells a story, and the ambiance feels both luxurious and nostalgic. Our room was immaculate, quiet, and beautifully designed, offering a peaceful retreat. The hotel location is ideal, as it is just off the main Avenida de Liberdade, a short walking distance from countless shops, restaurants and sites, yet tucked away enough for a restful night’s sleep. We left with full hearts and deep appreciation for the team’s warmth and professionalism. We look forward to our return!

The staff are so amazing and helpful. The location is close to anything you need (shopping, restaurants etc). Definitely worth staying here and also has a great breakfast. We loved the history of this hotel and it was explained in the literature in the room.

Yelp
Fantastic service ! Larissa at the front desk was great. I jetlagged overslept (2pm) and missed breakfast. When she saw me and I explained what happened:: never expecting anything: she offered me coffee and to my surprise brought not only coffee but a continental breakfast! Love this place!

Yelp
Lisbon's Hotel Britania, Portuguese for "British Hotel," feels like you've stepped into a 1940s ship complete with portholes, relevant decor, and paintings that are consistent with a seafaring vessel, all making it quite charming. It is conveniently located near upscale shopping on Avenida de Liberdade, several excellent restaurants including Ginos, and the Avenida metro station. It's not a long walk to gorgeous Eduardo VII Park with stellar views of the city. The customer service at the hotel is excellent, the street is very quiet, there is a small market half a block north of the hotel, and the complimentary breakfast is delicious.

Yelp
We arrived today to this boutique hotel. All staff have been amazing. Our room has a European king so nice and comfy! The hotel is in walking distance to many great restaurants and attractions. We feel safe here and are happy with our hotel selection.

Yelp
I found this place on Yelp and boy am I glad I did. It's got large lovely rooms, great toiletries (Molton Brown- I love you), a mini fridge, a tea set up, (and did I mention the large room?)- lots of storage- a big dresser, and large closet, end tables with storage, a book shelf! With books- including a Lisbon Lonely Planet book- and port to drink in our very own decanter. I'm drinking it now. Also, there was a sample of delicious walnuts. Not sure why- but they are really good. The room is quiet even though it is near the center of town and the blackout curtains really DO black out everything. Make sure you set an alarm! The water pressure is great and the bathroom has a handheld shower and a tub- but excellent. The tub is a little high- so if you're disabled, find out if they have a disabled bathroom. The regular one is not disabled friendly at all (also, slippery marble- beautiful slippery marble.) We were given a card with free entrance to Museu National de Arte Antigua (ancient art) and the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporanea (modern art). Since both these places were on our to do list, it's great to go there free! As to the breakfast- I booked a room which included it- let me just say it was lovely. Pastries, breads, eggs, bacon, grilled veggies, tomatoes, cheese, cold meats, fruit, fruit juice, cereal, and did I mention the pastries? Tea and coffee too!

Yelp
Wonderful hotel in a safe and clean location. The staff here are beyond welcoming and the rooms are spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast spread is beyond filling and varied and their tea/pastry spread in the afternoon is the perfect pick me up! The only reason I am knocking off a star is because our room was on the first floor and located right above the kitchen, making it difficult to sleep in in the morning. The hotel is located on the rodeo drive of Lisbon, but is a bit of a walk from the Chiado and Alfama neighborhoods. Overall, I would stay again and just request a room on a higher floor.

Yelp
I found this hotel on TripAdvisor and on travel books. I read the reviews and decided this would be the hotel to stay. It is just off the main shopping street, Avenida da Libertad. It is an older hotel. The room we had was roomy, no view, but quiet, nice bathroom. They have pillow menu and can adjust the bed for more firmness. During the early evening they have a variety of pastries and tea. There is also a small bar. The reception person was very helpful in making reservations for a Fado dinner.

Yelp
Glad we stayed here. 10 minute walk to city center. Front desk staff is your concierge. English is spoke well here. They do a great job recommending restaurants and the best way to see the sights of the city. Rooms are spacious/clean/quiet and breakfast is a buffet every morning (Always the same but we did not get sick of it). Afternoon tea and a small bar area at night. The bartender is creative and generous. For the location, service and value, this is a fabulous hotel home base for a great stay in Lisbon.
