Beautiful hotel with warm and welcoming staff. The hotel has a lovely art deco feel. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely with lots of cold and hot options. Great location just 15 minutes walk from the bars and restaurants but in a quiet street so peaceful when you return at the end of the day. We will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Google
A truly wonderful hotel. We received a warm and friendly welcome from the start and this continued throughout our stay. Our room was beautifully furnished and we had complimentary port. Whole hotel is art deco and spotless. Fantastic breakfast which went on until 12. Well situated within a short walk of the centre but on a side street so it was quiet. Would highly recommend.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Britania Art Deco, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Located right in the heart of Lisbon, the hotel exudes vintage charm, coupled with modern comfort.||The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my visit. From check-in to departure, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable.||My room was impressively large, beautifully decorated in Art Deco style, and spotless. It was a true pleasure to have so much space to relax in after a day exploring the city.||Every member of the team was genuinely warm and happy to help. Their local advice and willingness to accommodate requests made the experience even more memorable.||I was offered a free early check-in at 11 am, which was a lifesaver after my early morning flight out of London. To top it off, I received a complimentary room upgrade, making my stay feel extra special.||I highly recommend Hotel Britania Art Deco to anyone visiting Lisbon. The combination of elegant surroundings, generous amenities, and truly outstanding service made my stay unforgettable. I would happily return!

I had a fantastic experience at this small boutique hotel. The location is excellent—close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful. The staff were truly the highlight: warm, welcoming, and attentive, with thoughtful little touches that made the stay feel special.||The room was spotlessly clean, with great air conditioning, which was much appreciated. A lovely surprise was the bottle of bubbles left for my birthday—such a kind gesture that really made my day!||All in all, a memorable stay. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Google
Very well maintained hotel. Excellent service. Perfectly clean with everything you need in the room. It’s really art deco so you won’t see any modern furniture however cleanliness is the highest level you can find. Little down for variety at the breakfast. Bit disappointing when you look at the local food and the price you pay for the room.

Our stay at this hotel couldn’t have been better. We can say it’s the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Such a lovely place!!!!|The location is excellent, and the breakfast was delicious, with different fresh options every day. Everything was very clean and well maintained.|Graça was always ready to greet us with a smile and somehow always knew exactly what we needed.|The cleanliness was impeccable from the moment we walked in until the moment we checked out.|Our highlight was Larissa, a wonderful woman we had the pleasure of meeting during our trip. She assisted us throughout our entire stay, always ready to help. She made us feel like family. You rarely meet people this committed and caring anymore.|The bar was charming as well. Enjoying Port wine and Ginjinha made for a truly relaxing moment (and to top it off, they were available in the room too!).|All we can say is: book this hotel with no hesitation. It truly feels like a home away from home, run by people who love what they do and treat guests with genuine kindness.|We couldn’t have made a better choice.

This is a true treasure. They even have a door man. This building was once a home and has been converted to a hotel. The bar is wonderful and there is a library room behind it with a fireplace and books and wonderful couches. Very cozy. Yu have your breakfast in this room, which was very good. The staff is amazing. There are several restaurants nearby. Hotel is very walkable.

Exceptional customer service from the entire team during my stay! Every request was met quickly and with genuine care, making my experience truly seamless.||A special shoutout to Larissa – she went above and beyond even before I arrived, helping me plan the perfect days for sightseeing, dining, and exploring. Her kindness, soft-spoken nature, and attentiveness make her an absolute gem and a true asset to the hotel.||I sincerely hope the hotel recognizes and values her incredible talent – if not, someone else will definitely snap her up (I’d even consider poaching her if I ever launch my own hotel in London!).||Truly a five-star experience thanks to the amazing team, and especially Larissa.

Yelp
Fantastic service ! Larissa at the front desk was great. I jetlagged overslept (2pm) and missed breakfast. When she saw me and I explained what happened:: never expecting anything: she offered me coffee and to my surprise brought not only coffee but a continental breakfast! Love this place!

Yelp
Lisbon's Hotel Britania, Portuguese for "British Hotel," feels like you've stepped into a 1940s ship complete with portholes, relevant decor, and paintings that are consistent with a seafaring vessel, all making it quite charming. It is conveniently located near upscale shopping on Avenida de Liberdade, several excellent restaurants including Ginos, and the Avenida metro station. It's not a long walk to gorgeous Eduardo VII Park with stellar views of the city. The customer service at the hotel is excellent, the street is very quiet, there is a small market half a block north of the hotel, and the complimentary breakfast is delicious.

Yelp
We arrived today to this boutique hotel. All staff have been amazing. Our room has a European king so nice and comfy! The hotel is in walking distance to many great restaurants and attractions. We feel safe here and are happy with our hotel selection.

Yelp
I found this place on Yelp and boy am I glad I did. It's got large lovely rooms, great toiletries (Molton Brown- I love you), a mini fridge, a tea set up, (and did I mention the large room?)- lots of storage- a big dresser, and large closet, end tables with storage, a book shelf! With books- including a Lisbon Lonely Planet book- and port to drink in our very own decanter. I'm drinking it now. Also, there was a sample of delicious walnuts. Not sure why- but they are really good. The room is quiet even though it is near the center of town and the blackout curtains really DO black out everything. Make sure you set an alarm! The water pressure is great and the bathroom has a handheld shower and a tub- but excellent. The tub is a little high- so if you're disabled, find out if they have a disabled bathroom. The regular one is not disabled friendly at all (also, slippery marble- beautiful slippery marble.) We were given a card with free entrance to Museu National de Arte Antigua (ancient art) and the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporanea (modern art). Since both these places were on our to do list, it's great to go there free! As to the breakfast- I booked a room which included it- let me just say it was lovely. Pastries, breads, eggs, bacon, grilled veggies, tomatoes, cheese, cold meats, fruit, fruit juice, cereal, and did I mention the pastries? Tea and coffee too!

Yelp
Wonderful hotel in a safe and clean location. The staff here are beyond welcoming and the rooms are spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast spread is beyond filling and varied and their tea/pastry spread in the afternoon is the perfect pick me up! The only reason I am knocking off a star is because our room was on the first floor and located right above the kitchen, making it difficult to sleep in in the morning. The hotel is located on the rodeo drive of Lisbon, but is a bit of a walk from the Chiado and Alfama neighborhoods. Overall, I would stay again and just request a room on a higher floor.

Yelp
I found this hotel on TripAdvisor and on travel books. I read the reviews and decided this would be the hotel to stay. It is just off the main shopping street, Avenida da Libertad. It is an older hotel. The room we had was roomy, no view, but quiet, nice bathroom. They have pillow menu and can adjust the bed for more firmness. During the early evening they have a variety of pastries and tea. There is also a small bar. The reception person was very helpful in making reservations for a Fado dinner.

Yelp
Glad we stayed here. 10 minute walk to city center. Front desk staff is your concierge. English is spoke well here. They do a great job recommending restaurants and the best way to see the sights of the city. Rooms are spacious/clean/quiet and breakfast is a buffet every morning (Always the same but we did not get sick of it). Afternoon tea and a small bar area at night. The bartender is creative and generous. For the location, service and value, this is a fabulous hotel home base for a great stay in Lisbon.
