Hotel is beautiful, lots of character being an old hotel… renovated nicely, the poolside + service was amazing. Listen your on island time… be patient and relax, the staff was extremely friendly, hard working and we had the best time. Highly suggested for a return visit. Location was amazing too!

Upon arrival the Front Desk clerks were very warm and friendly and assisted the group expeditiously. The hallway to the rooms could've smelled a lot fresher...... it smelled very old. And I love to smell sweet fresh scents all the time. Our room was very clean and so was the bathroom. We were only short one set of towels. We ate at the first hotel after leaving the lobby and the sushi and flat breads were great. The drinks were great as well. The Dj entertainment was awesome!!!! I had a wonderful experience this trip.||||O.D.

Our stay at the British Colonial Resort in the Bahamas was truly unforgettable, and that is entirely because of Theo, Felincia, and Ken. Their tremendous service, incredible attitudes, and genuine care completely transformed our family’s trip into something truly special. From the moment we arrived, their work ethic was outstanding—attentive, professional, and consistently going above and beyond without ever making it feel forced. What truly set them apart, though, were the personal touches: remembering details about our family, anticipating our needs, and making us feel not just welcomed, but genuinely valued. Their warmth, kindness, and positivity were felt every single day. Theo, Felincia, and Ken didn’t just provide excellent service—they created an experience. Because of them, our entire family felt relaxed, cared for, and joyful throughout our stay. They are the kind of employees who represent the very best of hospitality and leave a lasting impression long after the trip ends. We can confidently say that we will be returning to this resort specifically because of them. They are true assets to the British Colonial Resort, and we are so grateful for the way they elevated our vacation in every possible way. Thank you, Theo, Felincia, and Ken—you changed our trip for the absolute best, and we can’t wait to see you again. 🌴✨

Did the day pass here while on a cruise. Super easy walk over. Beach itself extremely clean for being right next to the port. Kids loved swimming and water sport stuff that was included. Also had huge pool though we never used it as the ocean was such a big hit. Employees all extremely helpful and friendly. Food solid. Heineken beer bucket a solid deal. All in all a great relaxing day!

Some constructive criticism: our room needed a blind on the closet window or a way for the doors to stay closed- the lightening storms lit up our bedroom because of that. The rooms really need a full length mirror and a small make-up mirror. We had to request 20 additional hangers, there were only 5 in the room when we arrived. Despite us being out of the room more the majority of the day, everyday, housekeeping always seemed to come at the end of the day which was annoying, because that was when we wanted to go back to our room. The shower soap dispenser was really hard to use. The music around the pool should be shut off at night, we could hear it all night in our room. The bar/restaurant staff around the pool need some more training. It was day three when we realized they provided service, and they would bring a menu but never come take the order. One day we waited over 90 minutes for one burger. The great stuff: The service from your staff was always amazing (except by the pool) - the best we experienced of everything we did in Nassau, the pools and beaches felt very safe and were super clean. The room was very nice, the linens and towels felt luxurious, we appreciated the sunscreen and water that was available by the pool. Overall we really loved our stay, there were a couple minor things that could be improved but we really enjoyed our stay.

Overall- wishing I spent the money elsewhere. Although the entry to the hotel and its restaurants are beautiful, the rooms are super outdated. The shower overflowed all over the floor to where a towel had to be placed in order to shower. The tub was rusty and no longer white. Walls were so paper thin, I could hear even a normal volume conversation a room over. Our room was a freezing 60° upon check in. I’m assuming that’s because the fan in the room didn’t work unless you blasted the AC. TV wasn’t connected to cable and wasn’t a smart tv so it was useless to us. Biggest inconvenience as a female- the only mirror in the room was above the sink. No full length mirror to be found anywhere. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper for a week long stay- even housekeeping didn’t replenish. We had to call the front desk and ask for toilet paper, how awkward. Food and the drinks in the hotel were great! But you’ll have to be ok with waiting 45+ minutes for a seat and another 30+ before food comes out. Bummer when it’s the only option because everything in the area closes at 5PM. This place is also swamped with “day pass” cruise goers. There’s 0 room on the beach or pool area. We walked in/out without the “security” even asking to see our wristbands or say passes. The gym smelled of mold the second you walked in. The water dispenser in the gym had mold all over it as well.

Just dined at the Woodes Roger’s Tavern. Sat for 1 hour before water and drinks were delivered. Server was doing her best but obviously overwhelmed. Food was ok. All except the club sandwich that my daughter was served. Turkey was legit green on the edges. Told the server immediately. Was informed they wouldn’t charge us for the green turkey club sandwich. Really?? Not looking for a free meal but you get one chance to make a horrible meal better and they completely missed the opportunity. Would not go back and definitely not recommend.

⭐ 4-Star Honest Review My husband and I stayed in Room 541 on my work trip. The hotel has a great location and very good value, and we would stay again. However, the room floor and rug could have been cleaner, and the elevator cable made a knocking noise all night, which made it hard to sleep. I would avoid staying near the elevator next time. We also tried the Mahogany Restaurant. I ordered the Seared Snapper, but the fish didn’t taste fresh. As a fish lover and a chef, I can tell when something isn’t right. My husband ordered chicken, and even he said his chicken tasted like fish. Because of that, we’d stay at the hotel again but skip the restaurant. Overall, friendly atmosphere, convenient location, and good value — just a few areas for improvement.
