Really impressed with the hotel. Great facilities,in particular the pool and beach area. Staff were really helpful and with charming personalities. We arrived well before check in and they found us a room and allowed us to use all facilities. Equally we had a very late flight and after checking out at 11 were able to stay at the hotel and use the showers in the fitness centre before we left. Great decor and cocktail bar. We enjoyed the meals we had. Will definitely stay there again.

This is a beautiful hotel, beachfront, with some nice restaurants. The beach is literally outside their back door. The beach is clean, the water is beautiful and you can see the bottom of the ocean. Clear blue turquoise water. Antoniya at the reception is super nice and Brittney the housekeeper is super sweet. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has the history and elegance of the old times. We like the feeling of being transported to the colonial times, its warmth and class make it unique, stylish and modern. Beautifully decorated. The pools are splendid and the private beach is perfect for spending quality resting time. A luxury just a few will appreciate. Love the place. Stayed 5 days for approx $800. There’s a resort fee of $45/day per room. Not included on the price. Be aware and not surprised but it’s worth it. The staff is friendly. Taxis are the way to travel around and pretty much everything is at walking distance. Not too much to do after 5, everything is closed.

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff were so nice, from the door mam, front desk and restaurant staff, they were great. We didn't use housekeeping because it was a short trip, but they did smile and always asked if we needed anything. The room was shaped in an odd way, so you had to duck to get past the TV at bedtime. The bathroom was very big and newly upgraded, but the room was lacking. Location was the best. It was right downtown, so you really didn't need a taxi very often. Almost everything was walking distance. We will definitely be returning to the Bahamas, and this will be where we stay.

The staff was the best part of our experience. Charles and company (Corey, Christina, Shakara and everyone else) above and beyond for my family. The atmosphere was great, the food was good. All of the people around the beach and pool were phenomenal including the everyone in the lobby and the store (there was a special moment for my daughter who is in a wheelchair in the store). Definitely a good group of people who aim to make your stay better. I would like to take an extra moment to thank Charles and company for a fantastic experience.

We originally booked in at the Reef at Atlantis, but checked out after just 1 night. After a quick Google search we found the British Colonial in Nassau and booked in there. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The facilities were great with a selection of bars and restaurants, Cafe, Pool Bars and evening entertainment. We even had an open air film show one evening. The pool and beach staff were brilliant. Corey and Foster at the pool side made sure that everything was first class and the service was second to none. The room was very nice with a fantastic view of the beach and ocean. Even the room service ladies were very pleasant and very helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. If you are looking for a memorable, peaceful and enjoyable hotel with great staff and facilities, look no further than this fantastic hotel.

We had a short stay, but it was wonderful, Great service, beautiful beach and pool, very clean. Comfortable beds, it was a great stay, they provide you with dressing gowns and slippers. We had a great beach view although we wish there was a balcony, but it was listed in the booking.

The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone who enjoys walking around and discovering new things. It is close to the downtown area, which made it easy to access food and the shops for souvenirs. The hotel was also close enough to the public beach, although we did not utilize it since we had a private beach on site. If you want to visit the fish fry, it is a 20 minute walk from this location. The restaurants on site were a bit disappointing due to the price and also the fact that they mainly offer American dishes and not local Bahamian food. The staff were wonderful and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely come back!
