I am afraid there is very little to commend this hotel, unless you have business in central Nassau - where it is at least a convenient option, and probably better than over city rather than resort hotels. The property itself is impressive, and from the public areas you might think it was a 5* hotel. It featured in one of the early Bond films. Overall, however, I would say that today's experience is that expected of a 3* hotel at best. My room was clean, but functional, with no easy chair, just a bed and a desk (even though it was the highest room grade). I had poor water pressure and only cool water in the shower throughout my stay, and resorted instead to showering at the gym. In room amenities were minimal and service was sporadic (one day my room was not cleaned, even after I chased; pressing the "guest relations" button on the room telephone just led to a dead line). The smoke detector above the bed had bright LED lights which flashed every 2 seconds. The Japanese restaurant in the hotel only opened sporadically, even though the property was full. Multiple other guests complained about poor service, and two other members of my party were kept waiting for their rooms on chcek-in until after 6 pm. In the gym, which is fine if rather smelly, the hand soap and shampoo dispensers went unfilled the whole week I was here. I'm afraid that seemed typical of my whole experience. For my second week, I changed hotel. I would not stay again.
