We were really excited to come to this hotel but unfortunately we were let down. I think it's extremely unprofessional and wrong for the business to let us book while having no transparency that renovation works would be going ahead at the same time. Walking outside and dodging active works wherever we went, leaving to walk outside to construction workers and having to cross over barricaded off areas felt extremely unsafe. Constant construction noises while in the room and issues with the lifts. No sign of any reduced fee, or anything to make up for paying the same price when half the services and expectations of hotel was not meet. No shampoo or conditioner in the rooms and bathroom door doesn't close properly. On a plus the bed was very comfy and the room was very cute. Just overall really disappointed as we paid more to stay here for the fun bar and vibe of the hotel and was meet with loud construction work that inconvenienced us greatly

A lot of the hotel was under construction like 60-70% or the floors including the ground floor. You need to take the small elevator up which proved to be a pain since most of the residents didn’t want to walk through the construction. The internet went down for a good 24+ hours and they really had no estimation of when it would be going back up. This slightly concerned me as I needed to have an important work meeting. The rooms were very nice. Beds were incredibly comfortable. AC worked great. Location is ok regarding connectivity to the metro stops. Most of the metros are 10 minute walk. There are some great restaurants near the area though that I enjoyed.

I preface our review by saying that we raised the issues below with the hotel during our stay in order that they might have the opportunity to address them. Not only did they fail to adequately respond during our stay, they have subsequently failed to deal with them following our departure. Suffice to say I deeply regret pre-paying for our room in advance which has provided the hotel with no incentive to address our concerns. I can see that the hotel has the potential to be a nice hotel but unfortunately it fell significantly short of our expectations. We arrived in Paris on the evening of Thursday 5 June 2025 and were very surprised and disappointed to find that the hotel is currently a building site. We were not advised of the renovation work prior to our arrival and had we known, we would have stayed elsewhere. We are currently living next-door to very disruptive building work and were looking forward to being far away from builders this weekend. Apparently we ought to have been advised after our booking had been confirmed that the hotel was being renovated. Not only did we did not receive any notification of the renovation work, this would not have been adequate. We ought to have been advised prior to booking so that we could make an open an informed choice about where to stay during our trip to Paris; all the more so when you consider that we had booked using the non-refundable pre-pay rate. We feel very deceived by the hotel and feel that they deliberately concealed the fact of the renovation from us. The work is not mentioned anywhere on their website. As a result of the renovation work, the bar at the hotel is not currently open, the ambience that this would have brought to the hotel was one of our reasons for booking Hotel Brittany. The air conditioning units in the rooms are not currently working as a result of the renovation. The room is too hot and stuffy without the air conditioning meaning the window must be open at night. We did ask for a fan but were told there were none. We were offered complimentary breakfast instead. We declined the offer since breakfast is no substitute for a comfortable night's sleep and given the state of the hotel, the breakfast area is hardly a welcoming and inviting place to eat. As a result of the window having to be open we were woken several times in the night and early in the morning by the noise in the street below. Our exit from the hotel on the morning of Friday 6 June 2025 was made very difficult by the builders. The lift was fully occupied for their use forcing us to use the stairs. There were wires running up the stairs and given the lack of lighting, it would have been easy to trip. They were then blocking the way through the corridor. As an aside, there was a large e-bike in the bar area where we had to enter when we arrived. This was not very welcoming. We also experienced poor standards of housekeeping during our stay. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our stay and the lack of response from the hotel's management to the issues we have raised. We do not feel that the experience we had is what we have paid for.

Terrible experience, big no to anyone who would like to consider this hotel. This is the worst hotel I have ever had in my 40 years of life. 1. It is under renovation right now, but no heads up was given anywhere when we make the booking. 2. The hotel is very dusty and lift is not available due to renovation. 3. Worst part is the room was given to us has been freshly painted, which we had no idea, we got paint all over our hands, arms, my cloth and my luggage when we pushed to get in. 4. The card to the room always does not work we have to run up and down to level 6 without lift several times to fix the card. Such poor experience, you have ruined my first impression of Paris . If you don’t care about your customer, you will have no customer.

Very disappointing experience – lack of transparency and zero accountability. I arrived at Hotel Brittany in the evening after a long day, only to find the entire property under heavy renovation: scaffolding, noise, dust, and unusable common areas. This major disruption was not mentioned anywhere – not on their website, not on Booking.com, nowhere. I had to leave around 9 PM and search for a last-minute alternative hotel in Paris, which meant added stress, unexpected extra costs, and major inconvenience. No compensation was offered for the situation, despite it being entirely their responsibility. It’s completely unacceptable for a 3-star hotel to remain open to guests under such conditions without informing them in advance. I do not recommend this property.

Details of the hotel being under construction were not shared at the time of booking, and the hotel refuses to refund for nights I did not stay there because of this. I stayed one night and was kept up with the smell of paint and adhesive, on top of early construction and an ac that didn’t work because of the construction. On top of that, the toilet seat was falling off, there were missing light fixtures, taped on room numbers, and scaffolding blocking any type of view. Even the bar which is part of the hotels name is closed. Despite misrepresentation, and my booking company stating they were not informed of this, the hotel refuses to issue a refund. Horrible customer service and do not recommend to anyone that doesn’t want to have to book another hotel last second due to these issues. Only giving one because I can’t give zero.

I have stayed here at least ten times, and have always loved it and appreciated the warm welcome. One staff member in particular always remembered me each time. Sadly, I think he's gone. Still a great location (near the gourmet paradise that is rue des Martyrs) and close to Gare du Nord. Great area. While the hotel keeps improving its appearance and renovating, I have a few observations from our visit last week: the new bathtubs are inaccessible for people who aren't agile. On a smaller note, the hairdryers are too. Silly I know, but if you have mobility issues, you will struggle. Finally, the breakfast arrangement is ridiculous now, seemingly to cut costs and waste. Come on: people are on holiday and want flexibility. They don't want to a time and a menu the night before! Bring back a buffet.

Yelp
Great location but the room is super tiny and super basic. The room I stayed at supposedly costs €230/night during the high season and €170/night during the low season but thanx to hotel.com I only paid $107/night. However, I had to pay everything upfront online in advance to get that special deal which was completely worth it if you wanna save big. Here are pros & cons: Pros: - Location is pretty fab, just a block away from Notre Dame de Lorette metro station and is a walking distance to L'Opera. - Free wifi - A-OK breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausages, baguette, croissants, hams, cheese, yogurt, & fresh fruits. Coffee sucked but I liked the fresh squeezed orange/grapefruit juice. - Multilingual receptionists - Room is tiny but clean - For €16/person, the hotel can arrange hotel pickup service to the airport. Cons: - Super tiny room! - lighting is too dark - no bathtub, just shower. No hair conditioner so bring your own - wifi doesn't work in the room, just in the lobby. It's also annoying that I had to register myself every time I try to connect to wifi. - super tiny elevator! This is very typical of hotels in Europe but this one is particularly tiny so don't bring big suitcases. $107/night in 9e arrondissement is a steal in my opinion. If you value location and price over space and fancy decor, this might work for you but I would never pay the regular price for a room like this. €230($315) is a real rip off, but remember it's Paris. La vie a Paris est trop chere!

Yelp
The hotel is in a nice and safe area, and we paid about $180 for a single room on a Wednesday night. The person who checked us in wasn't bilingual, but we were still able to converse with the little French I knew. The building itself is really old, and our room was pretty grungy. The shower was filled with mold, and the floors just felt dirty. We also weren't able to sleep much because the Yacht Club was loud with people outside until after midnight. We were also only given one key and we needed to leave it with the front desk each time we left which I thought was really weird. My parents paid for a larger room, however, and their room seemed much nicer. They also weren't able to hear the outside noise so maybe it's just bad on the lower floors.

Yelp
I LOVED this Hotel. Not only does it have my name "Brittany" but it's beautiful, quiet and next to so many stores, bars and restaurants. It also has breakfast which is quite convenient. The staff is super Friendly and helpful. I was traveling solo and they made sure to take a non-selfie picture of me, unsolicited. It was my first time in Paris from the beautiful Sunny Los Angeles, California in the U.S. and my stay here did not disappoint. The only downside is other than the Basilica and Moulin Rouge it's not close to the other popular monuments like the Eiffel Tower so if you're a walker like me (63,500 plus steps and 29mi during my 48 hour stay) it is quite a walk back to your hotel from the Eiffel Tower. However, for the public transportation friendly individual there is ample public transportation availability to get you to where you want to go. LOVED it!
