Brixton wasn't always the place you would think to go for darn-good coffee, (and it still kind of isn't), but a few little shops like this one are changing that for the better.
Conveniently situated a stone's throw away from the major bus stops, and just a short walk from the Brixton Tube Station, it has its own little zen vibe, tucked away in a less busy courtyard, surrounded by shops on all sides. It isn't difficult to find, as they have a rather large chalkboard sign pointing the way to some delicious coffee.
The interior is pretty chill and comfortable, with plenty of seating and free wifi available. The winning point however, is the few seats available outside; there's a tree in the center, and on the off-chance that it isn't raining (good luck), it's a relaxing little spot to sip your java while watching the traffic go by in the distance.
Although I only tried their coffee, and can say it is almost as good as it gets- with a rich, robust, and nutty flavor- they also have some other drinks and pastries available. The coffee is the main attraction, though.
Service is pretty sweet, as well, so skip the Caffe Nero, and give this local independent joint a try.
