We ended up at the Broadford due to some significant winter weather. We were so grateful they had a room available that fit our preferences (two twin beds). We were in room 3 across from the hotel and it was so lovely, newly finished. Also had a great little outdoor patio. We really enjoyed our room and the fact that we had flexibility with the heater. We also ate at the restaurant tonight and had the best food of our vacation at this hotel! I personally loved the Cullen skink (I ordered it both times), catch of the day which was salmon, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the venison dinner. So grateful for this refuge in the winter storm. The staff were working hard and we greatly appreciated them.

Bradley was an absolute rockstar! We couldn’t get to our originally booked place due to snow and we are so happy with the staff, quality of excellent food (get the venison!! If it’s available!) the new rooms across the street were so good and sufficiently sized! We would gladly stay here again! Thanks to the broadford hotel we enjoyed a simply magical time touring the island! Would recommend!

We stayed here for two nights on a road trip to Skye. The service at the Hotel was really great. We loved the staff we interacted with. They also worked the restaurant within the hotel and were very personable and lovely. We were in Room 1 on the first floor. The room was an okay size, but the bathroom had some mold in the ceiling, which was a small problem for my travel partner. Slightly outdated decor, but overall a good place to stay. It was clearly very popular with locals for dinner and groups traveling together. The pub attached had an odd vibe and we went over there one night to have dinner. We weren't sure how service worked and we didn't ever get waited on by staff, so we left. Overall, the staff was absolutely the best part and we truly enjoyed them. Thank you!

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Broadford Hotel on our first visit to Skye. The hotel staff were welcoming and very friendly and informative. Our room was beautiful and the food was great. We ate dinner at the Gabbro bar which is attached to the hotel, all the food was delicious and hearty and great value for money. Breakfast was served in the hotel bar area and was also excellent. Plenty of choice. I have to say that the poached eggs I chose were the most perfect poached eggs I’ve ever eaten. Our room was spacious and quiet and very well presented.

A lovely hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and good food. The vegan options for dinner were excellent (mushroom pate starter and smoked tofu main). They didn’t have a vegan option for breakfast on the menu but they were able to provide a cooked breakfast. The view from the hotel was beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here.

If you’re looking for a ‘luxury’ establishment as the Broadford hotel believes they are, then don’t bother booking. This place is a mediocre, over priced two star at a push. With tired and scuffed paintwork and carpets that have seen better days. Rude staff that couldn’t be less interested if they tried and a grotty pub right below bedrooms playing loud music. ||||The staff, when they can be located, oscillate somewhere between uninterested and actively unhelpful. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room directly above a bar that played loud music into the night. A small detail, one might think is worth mentioning either at booking or at check in but apparently transparency didn’t make the amenities list. The experience was less ‘luxury retreat’ and more ‘caravan site with ambition.’||||When I attempted to raise the issue in person, the reception desk was left entirely unattended. ||I emailed a complaint and, after several rounds of polite back-and-forth, was informed it had been forwarded to head office in early October. As of today, I am still waiting. If this place truly were the five stars it claims to be, I imagine I would have received a response by now. ||||In summary: save your money, your sleep, and your sanity, and book somewhere that knows the difference between luxury and loud.

We spent two nights on Skye and were lucky enough to book the Bonnie Lodge Suite at the Broadford Hotel. It was a spacious, clean and newly-renovated room across the way from the main hotel. The staff, both evening and morning, were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay, as we had some issue with the heating, but they worked as a team to get it resolved. They were sincerely interested in making sure we had a good stay.|The restaurant was convenient and provided a wonderful breakfast both mornings. Plenty of food to get through the day of exploring Skye.

Very comfortable stay, the room was warm, spacious, quiet with a lovely view. Bed was so cosy. Dined in the restaurant and what a delight the food was delicious - best Cullen Skink soup ever. All staff were lovely but would like to mention the Ukraine girl ( sorry can't remember her name) in the restaurant, her hospitality skills were top notch, she was so pleasant, mannerly and very helpful. All in all a lovely relaxing stay, I would highly recommend.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at the Broadford. Be aware it does not have an elevator so be prepared. The room was tidy and the staff was amazing! So friendly and helpful. We also had breakfast and dinner there. The food was delicious and high quality. The bartender was very knowledgeable. The breakfast/morning staff member (I wish I gotten her name) was so nice and though she was the only staff on duty she was friendly. Definitely a great place to stay and eat when in Skye. The Co-Op is walking distance as was a pizza place for a quick bite.

Yelp
This review is for the restaurant only. After wandering around town looking for an open restaurant in the off season we saw lights on! We turned in and asked the waitress if they take walk ins. After checking with the chef she sat us in the small dining room. At first, we felt a little out of place, it appeared only those staying in the hotel were dining that night. Our drinks were good, local gin and whisky. I was pleasantly surprised by the fish and chips. It was probably one of better ones I've had. Husband got the pork fillet and he enjoyed it. Nice waitstaff came to check on us frequently and didn't treat us like we didn't belong.

Yelp
This hotel is the original home of Drambuie, where the recipe was refined. If you enjoy a wee dram, this place is worth a stop for the history alone. We had a 3 course dinner for 3 people which cost around £100 including 3 glasses of wine and 1 shot of Drambuie. So it's neither fine dining nor your local pub but a nice place in between. The Cullen skink smoked haddock soup was the highlight of the meal that also included chicken curry as a starter, grilled chicken, grilled salmon and cheesy penne for mains. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding which was a little dry and the Drambuie cheesecake, which might have missed the actual dram. Overall, this was a very pleasant evening with a decent meal and attentive service.
