Staff all friendly and happy to help. Hotel looks nice from the outside and great location with views. Unfortunately the room was not so great. Room 4 - every time the kitchen door downstairs is opened/closed, there is a loud bang that literally shakes the entire room. This was throughout dinner service and then woken up at 7am again by it. Please fit a soft close to your kitchen door. Also, the kitchen extractor is directly between both the windows in this room, therefore if you want to open the window, be prepared for a grease smell to fill the room. Don't like having to leave bad reviews but when you pay £288 for one night you expect a decent room.

£45 for two courses was wild given the quality of food we received. Ordered bruscetta for it to arrive and the bread be stale. Not toasted but hard and tough, one slice with a few cold roasted tomatoes- wouldnt usually bother me but for the price expected better. They were out of the scallops so we got langostines instead which would have been great but they were overcooked and tough. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and couldnt fault the service but really underwhelmed by the food.

Staff: absolutely excellent, Friendly and helpful. Location: awesome. Right in town. Walking distance to restaurants and Co-op. Breakfast: a full Vegan breakfast is available that will fill you through to the afternoon. Rooms: room 6 needs a full renovation. The bathroom needs a really deep clean. There’s yellow stuff dripping down the tiles and the shower needs a thorough clean to remove the dirt and mould. The shower hose and shower head needs a replacement to something less camping shower. Now room 6 is right over the pub and the noise from the music & the customers outside screaming, is not the luxury that the hotel promotes. The smoke from cigarettes gets into the room whether the window is open or not. Previous Google reviews have highlighted the problems with this room & the reply has been „we are actively addressing this“. But it’s the same reply from the hotel for months and nothing has been done. For the price of accommodation, around $300 per night, it’s not acceptable.

Very nice stay. The rooms were clean, and average in size. We stayed in the villas across from the hotel itself, which is where they have additional rooms. Close to the water, great views (pictures added), and the restaurant served a very good breakfast, and dinner was also very good. The pub inside the hotel was also friendly and had locals with plenty of pints. We had a good time while there. The rooms also have a private deck area (from the villas side), and the air is clean. If you go, this is where they came up with Drambuie, a Scottish liquor, that goes great with whiskey, or by itself. I did get myself 2 small bottles (5 pounds a bottle), since I liked it so much, and brought it back home in my checked bag (the bottles are plastic).

Stayed in the Bonnie Lodge section across the street. Fully renovated rooms and large beds in some rooms. Overall the breakfast was very good and the lady serving breakfast was very nice and friendly. I would stay here again!

I will give this place 5 stars. While we did not stay there we did eat there and the food was wonderful. The chef came out and spoke with us, he answered all our questions. The young gentleman that waited on us was very nice and upbeat. The prices were a little on the high side but the food made up for it every bit.

Review of hotel restaurant only. £45 per head for 2 courses and several of the meals were of a really low standard. The bruschetta felt like it was on stale bread and had no seasoning. Two of us had langoustines and they were really chewy and flavourless. The staff were lovely and very helpful. They also took these off the bill after I mentioned it. The next night we just got fish and chips from the place on the high street and it was 10X better. Wouldn’t recommend eating in the restaurant.

We stayed in 2 rooms and both excellently equipped. The breakfast was so good and staff very welcoming.||We’d love to have had dinner too but personally for us the menu was a little pricey and not to our liking. ||Would stay again though! Great location for sites of Isle of Skye.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at the Broadford. Be aware it does not have an elevator so be prepared. The room was tidy and the staff was amazing! So friendly and helpful. We also had breakfast and dinner there. The food was delicious and high quality. The bartender was very knowledgeable. The breakfast/morning staff member (I wish I gotten her name) was so nice and though she was the only staff on duty she was friendly. Definitely a great place to stay and eat when in Skye. The Co-Op is walking distance as was a pizza place for a quick bite.

Yelp
This review is for the restaurant only. After wandering around town looking for an open restaurant in the off season we saw lights on! We turned in and asked the waitress if they take walk ins. After checking with the chef she sat us in the small dining room. At first, we felt a little out of place, it appeared only those staying in the hotel were dining that night. Our drinks were good, local gin and whisky. I was pleasantly surprised by the fish and chips. It was probably one of better ones I've had. Husband got the pork fillet and he enjoyed it. Nice waitstaff came to check on us frequently and didn't treat us like we didn't belong.

Yelp
This hotel is the original home of Drambuie, where the recipe was refined. If you enjoy a wee dram, this place is worth a stop for the history alone. We had a 3 course dinner for 3 people which cost around £100 including 3 glasses of wine and 1 shot of Drambuie. So it's neither fine dining nor your local pub but a nice place in between. The Cullen skink smoked haddock soup was the highlight of the meal that also included chicken curry as a starter, grilled chicken, grilled salmon and cheesy penne for mains. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding which was a little dry and the Drambuie cheesecake, which might have missed the actual dram. Overall, this was a very pleasant evening with a decent meal and attentive service.
