Absolutely gorgeous little theater on 44th St in Manhattan. Every seat in the entire house is a good seat and the acoustics are also fantastic. Saw the Betty Boop Broadway show there yesterday afternoon with my Mom and daughter. Very special time in a beautiful venue. ❤️🎭🌹🗽🥰

Wow! Wow! Wow! Boop! The Musical - Such a great show on so many levels. The cast - Outstanding!!! Everything about it was a delight and we left singing the songs and praising it on every level. A very special Thank You to Janise (👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻), who really made our night! The entire house staff was kind, gracious, and really on top of everything in the best ways.

Went to see Boop got seats at the very back of the theater. Tickets were very reasonable and the seats were still amazing! Very beautiful theater inside with comfortable seats. Ushers were very kind and helpful too! Would definitely recommend seeing a show here.

We visited the Broadhurst for Boop! The Musical, which turned out to be the weakest of our 3 Broadway bookings (DRAG: The Musical and Death Becomes Her being the others). My seat- M19 in the Orchestra- provided a clear, near-central view of the stage.

Seat are very small and not a lot of legroom ****BOOP! The Musical - super cute show. It's worth checking it out and ok for most ages. **Hills Of California This was a story with potential. The show is almost 3 hours. The actors are excellent. The story was good but could have been told faster. A lot of filler and I don't understand why this took place in Ireland but ok. I'm sure there was a reason but I didn't get it. A good night out but don't expect to be wowed.

My elderly mother who has Alzheimer's disease and is in a wheelchair, arrived early for the "Boop" show. The staff assisted my mother and her home attendant into the theater. At the end of the show they made certain to assist her out of the theater and into the Uber. I cannot give enough praise to the kind and attentive staff at this theater, a gem in the midst of New York City!

Saw Anastasia here and many more shows before. From getting tickets to being ushered in, was a good experience. Anastasia was an amazing show and we had great orchestra seats. Must watch. Saw Neil diamond musical too. Betty Boop!

The Actress who plays Betty Boop is Breathtaking! Vocals off the charts!! The little girl from America's Got Talent, A Star! Don't miss this show!!

Yelp
January 2024 Thursday 7:30pm Show: A Beautiful Noise-Neil Diamond's life story Bought two tickets at the red TKTS booth at 1:00pm for $100 each after standing in line for 30 minutes. Orchestra Row 5 middle seats. We came to the Broadhurst Ticket Window earlier in the day and Orchestra seats were $130 dollars. So waiting in line was worth it. We saw Mama Mia in this theater and already knew it was a smaller theater with bathrooms upstairs. Arrived at 7:05pm and walked right in and down to our seats. There was a guy walking around selling drinks and snacks but we didn't need any. Fantastic cast! So happy that we waited the year to come see the musical. This cast was amazing. Every song, dance, segment was just so entertaining. Loved Deandre singing Shiloh! We had such an amazing time and didn't want the night to end. Neil Diamond lived an amazing life and this cast shared that so well. Thank you!

Yelp
I've been to this theater at least twice for two different shows. I like the stage how it moves around, and that's how they change scenery or the background. The bathroom is all downstairs like most theaters, and the employees are fairly nice and knowledgeable.

Yelp
We had such a great time at the Broadhurst Theater this week seeing A Beautiful Noise! I ordered the tickets a few months ago and my wife and I were really looking forward to the show. Spending the day in NYC prior to the show, during Christmas season, was a fantastic way to spend the day. We've seen other plays at the Broadhurst and it's always been a great theater to go to. The cast for A Beautiful Noise was excellent! Nick Fradiani played Neil Diamond and was amazing! His voice was Neil Diamond's! Spot on! If you're looking for a fun night out on Broadway, I definitely recommend getting tickets!

Yelp
Great matinee show of A Beautiful Noise through tickets from the TKTS booth. The theater is small because there is really not much of a lobby. Once you step in the doorway, a few steps forward and you are in. Sound quality is great and it is a cozy feel. There are folks selling sippy cups of wine, water and candy before the show and during intermission. The show we saw was fantastic. Great energy and story. Support the theater arts!

Yelp
We saw a Beautiful Noise (Story of Neil Diamond) at the Broadhurst. Prices for broadway shows have gone up quite a bit since the last time we saw one (obviously), but got the Thursday night tickets for slight discount (paid $120 per ticket). The show itself was OK...loved the music as I knew I would, but the story itself seemed incomplete and not really sure if Mr. Diamond shared everything that he could. It did give a good sense of what his show in the 80's and 90's might have been like, and I was glad for that. The theater was about 3/4 full, and definitely skewed towards his original target audience. I will say that there was a lot of extraneous conversations and not-allowed picture taking throughout the show. It made for good conversation (i.e. "did you see what THEY did during the show?") after the show, but was distracting during it. The theater itself is a fine place to see a show. They let us in (out of the heat), 35 minutes before showtime (8pm). Even though we sat in the corner on the first floor, we could see the entire stage. We found our seats easily, and the sound quality was very good.

Yelp
Came here to see A Beautiful Noise and absolutely loved it! The first time I came, it was through Yelp. I had another friend that one lottery tickets, so how could I say no? The play was amazing and the staff was so sweet. The only thing I don't like about this theater is that it was so hard for me to actually watch the play. I'm pretty short and the person in front of me was clearly over six feet. Unfortunately, this person's head blocked the entire view for me. The other thing I do want to make sure I say is that this place has a bunch of bathrooms that make it easy to be able to take a break during intermission. I would just avoid the orchestra seats. There isn't enough of a platform so the view can be obscured a tiny bit. IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Yelp
"Where it began I can't begin to know when But then I know it's growing strong..." Located on 44th Street in Manhattan and named after the English-born playwright George H. Broadhurst, my friend and I came last night to see A Beautiful Noise, the Neil Diamond Musical to experience a journey through Neil's life with some of his memorable hits such as 'Love on the Rocks', 'Songs Sung Blue' and of course 'Sweet Caroline'. Ironically, the real Neil Diamond was here only 2 days ago. It was a packed house where the audience participated with the cast in songs while moving in their seats including us. We really had a great time. Bravo to the cast and hoping for a Tony!

Yelp
Beautiful old Broadway theatre. I really enjoy these old gems. Saw The Neil Diamond musical A Beautiful Noise. Great entertaining show. I had a comfortable seat in the third row left. Had plenty of leg room. The restroom was down a flight of stairs no big deal. The usher who took us to our seats was very pleasant. These old theatre's reek of history I just hope they stay standing in my lifetime for me to enjoy them.

Yelp
I've seen the Neil Diamond musical 2x and it's so fantastic. The sound and spectacle of this show is really leaving an impression on me. I'm wowed, I cry, I sing. It's a true Broadway show that I love listening to. Will Swenson is fantastic. The band is terrific. I had partial view on the right side and it wasn't even bad. Dare I say not a bad seat in the house. The streamers at the bows are a wow touch!

Yelp
We were thrilled with our last minute seats at Broadhurst Theatre for A BEAUTIFUL NOISE. We were in row J, seats 3 & 5, stage right. We could see everything, and what we saw was fabulous. We had two concerns in this theatre, but they were minor compared to the fantastic production we enjoyed today, Wednesday's matinee on 5/10/23: the bathrooms are downstairs, and the seats are small. I don't know if there is an elevator to the bathrooms, but the stairs were a challenge for me. What about those older or handicapped? The seats were small, and I don't know how someone of large girth will feel sitting in them, but my seat was snug and I am not large.

Yelp
Saw Beautiful Noise it's the story behind the lyrics to songs written by Neil Diamond. He's an American singer songwriter and this show had me singing and dancing to every song. It was wonderfully performed. I loved the old & young Neil Diamond. I highly recommend you don't miss this excellent show

Yelp
I sometimes think I have an old soul lol! When I was a teenager I used to walk the streets of Flatbush - Brooklyn, NYC and listen to Sir Neil Diamond's tunes on my Walkman! . Fast forward to a few decades later and I am here sitting at Broadhurst Theater watching @abeautifulnoisemusical. . It's a Broadway musical highlighting Sir Neil Diamond's musical journey. . 2 of my favorite tunes I still jam to.... . America Lyrics: ...They're coming to America Got a dream they've come to share They're coming to America.... . Sweet Caroline Lyrics: ...Sweet Caroline Good times never seemed so good I've been inclined To believe they never would Oh no, no.... . So about the theater; honestly it's so small yet you can have an incredible view of the stage and feel very engaged with the Broadway s

Yelp
A Beautiful Noise was a Wonderful Experience! A captivating look into the life of one of the greatest singer/songwriters this planet has produced! And to enjoy it in the city where he first began was an added bonus. The lead was spot-on as Neil Diamond in voice and mannerisms as I remembered him. And to learn that I share not only being a singer/songwriter myself, but the Parkinson's that's taking it away; it really hit home! It was this relatable ebb and flow that made the experience even more personal. It was the best part of our NYC experience!

Yelp
We just saw "A Beautiful Noise", a musical based on the life and music of Neil Diamond. (Right now you're humming Sweet Caroline right now aren't you?) The play was amazing! I have to give it to the Broadhurst Theatre, they really had the best acoustics to give the performance some punch. The stage was large and they had a platform where the star was elevated and brought down. That was pretty cool visually. These old playhouses could be a seating nightmare. I swear, I think everyone was 5'2 back in the day! The Broadhurst Theatre was built in 1917, I'm sure they changed the seats a few times. They didn't consider larger people. My wife said the guy next to her looked so uncomfortable. He had his arms crossed the entire performance. Sorry brah. The bar? You know in advance the cocktails are going to be at a premium price. There is something about seeing a performance and sippin' on some righteous libations. I was impressed with the actual cup design, very creative. What would be nice? My car has cupholders, the next time the theatre gets a retro fit add some built in cupholders. Get on that Mr. Broadhurst ok. Coats? Yeah.. good luck with that. If you're bringing a bulky coat inside, pretty much any broadway theatre isn't roomy enough so you'll have your coat folded on your lap for two hours. My issue with the Broadhurst Theatre? My seat was pretty comfy except there was, it wasn't a step but a small ledge? I got up during the performance and when I came back to my seat, I tripped and fell on the ladies in front of us. I apologized when the lights came on. There are some people with short fuses and might have been pissy. I'm glad they were good sports. Overall, we loved the performance! The cocktails were on point and my seat was comfortable for two hours. All these entertainers from Brooklyn have life stories on Broadway like Carol King and now Neil Diamond. I'm ready for The Notorious B.I.G. play. Baby Bae bay

Yelp
Went here to see the Neil Diamond show - A Beautiful Noise. We did love the show (even though I'm not a huge Neil Diamond Show). You could sing along and even dance in your seat. It was very moving-and I found myself crying at the end of the show. Why? It is about Neil Diamond's life and legacy and how he struggles today with his Parkinson's. It is a true reality -fame and then the decline of the human body. We were sitting in the orchestra and we had a birds eye view of the stage. I know it is an older theatre. This one opened in 1917 and has 1218 seats. It is located on 44th street just west of Broadway. The theatre is named for George H. Broadhust, English playwright. If you do need a restroom, the lines are lengthy. You need to go to the basement to use these facilities unless you need wheelchair accessible and that is on the main floor. If you want wine or water, they do walk around selling "double pours" (which will cost you a pretty penny) - but you figure - hey, it's a night out!! And you can keep humming away to "Sweet Caroline!"

Yelp
Saw The Neil Diamond Musical-A Beautiful Noise here! Wonderful musical! Small theater. Sound was great! Everyone was hearing the music and singing along! I was sitting on the side and still had good visual of the stage. My criticism of this theater is that the rows and seats are very close and narrow. I am a pretty small 5'2" person. My knees were pretty close to touching the seat in front of me. The people in the row behind me knocked me in the back of the head several times when getting back into their seats after intermission. I learned to lean forward until everyone was settled back in their seats.

Yelp
Typical of older Broadway Theatres (The Broadhurst Theatre opened in 1917), the restroom lines tend to be long (male and female, however you identify, located in the basement. Wheelchair accessible located on the Orchestra level). This theatre has a capacity of 1,218. My seat on the aisle in the Mezzanine was comfortable with good sightlines. Drink prices, as to be expected, were sky high. No complaints.

Debbie C.

Yelp
Watered down drink $30.00, freezing cold theatre on a freezing rainy day, needs to add another bathroom...lines for womans bathroom is rediculous. Thank God the show was awesome even though I had to leave my wet coat on.

Yelp
One of my first shows back, Jagged Little Pill hit it out of the park. The ushers were great! And concessions were also very kind. As stated in other reviews, the seats are fairly close and tight when it comes to leg space...but going to see a show isn't the same as laying on your sofa at home. Sometimes it's ok to be a little uncomfortable :). Bathrooms are downstairs, so If lots of steps can be challenging for you, I'd recommend getting seats on the main floor. However, they were very clean and well stocked. Overall, I don't think any seat would be a bad seat
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
Went to see a Beautiful Noise. The show was sold out and the theatre was crowded. They started letting you in 30 before the show, which helped to get everyone seated before the show. They were very efficient doing that. The theater is like most of the older ones, long bathroom lines and having to climb stairs to get to them. I think that they do not have enough slope in the floor, so the person in front of me blocked my view, most of the time. Like all theaters in the area, seats were tight.
google avatar

Karen E.

Yelp
We just were able to see the musical about Neil Diamond, who we love, at this theater! It's called A Beautiful Noise! We actually sat right behind the two seats that they have named for Neil Diamond if he comes to the City... that was kind of fun to see!! It was built in 1917 and it is an intimate theater. It was easy to get into since my husband walks with a cane.. we appreciated that!
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
We went here this fall to see the new musical Alanis Morissette jagged Little pill and it was absolutely wonderful. This theater isn't that big making it nice and cozy and easily see the stage from any seat and the acoustics are really good. The restrooms are a little small so get there early when there's a break. The price of drinks here are super expensive, you've been warned.
google avatar

Cassy B.

Yelp
Came here right before Valentine's Day to watch Anastasia and it was amazing! I really can't complain much about the theater. The lines moved quickly, everyone is very efficient. Ticket check, bag check, ushers, everyone was great. The seats from pretty much every angle are great. We were in the back and moved on over once the show started because no one else was in our row. Though if we had to stay in our original seats it wouldn't have been bad at all. The only downside I can think of is that the bathroom is downstairs in the theater we were in. If you have trouble walking up and down stairs it might be an issue but other than that the bathrooms were clean and stocked. I also highly recommend seeing Anastasia before it's gone! Such a fantastic show.

Yelp
Broadhurst Theatre was a perfect place for this musical (Jagged Little Pill). It allowed for us to be close to the show. The theater was very intimate. The only drawback was that they did not sell beer (liquor and wine only). Beyond that, everything was great about this venue.
google avatar

Kseniya K.

Yelp
Saw Frankie and Johnny in the clair de lune on Friday night. Half empty theater, definitely surprising. We sat on mezzanine right and the view was pretty great even from the side. The theater is very small and old compared to others on Broadway. Very, very tight seating--your knees will be very uncomfortable the whole night. Men will find it even more difficult to endure in the same small spot for the duration of the show. Two actor show--the namesakes of the play title do an amazing job of acting for two hours. A sentimental show that touches on a variety of life & relationship themes like trust, hope, intimacy, relationships, love, betrayal, hurt, and bravery. Surprising nudity scenes in dimmed lighting, so definitely not a show for kids/teens.
google avatar

Meri L.

Yelp
The seats are very cramped...and I'm short. A man that was sitting in front of me stated he was 6'5, and was very uncomfortable. Be prepared to be uncomfortable however tall or short you are. I saw a Jagged Little Pill here. I had a seat all the way up, but it was still a great view of the stage. I feel any seat here is a great view. You don't need to spend over $300 for floor seats for a good view. Unfortunately the side I was sitting on, there wasn't any heat. It was freezing. Not only was the heat not working, but there was a terrible draft! Merch and drinks are sold on both floors. Don't rush to the first one you see.

Yelp
I first went to NYC in 2011 to see 2012 be born. On my trip, I got to do a lot of things, but I didn't get to do what I wanted to do the most. What was it? I was dying to go to Broadway. I wanted to see what the fuss was about the shows there. Enter 2018. I went this time around with the purpose of seeing a Broadway show. Specifically Anastasia, which I saw has a separate listing and I will be commenting on the show there. This review instead is for the theatre where the show was held: Broadhurst Theatre. While this is my first Broadway show and the first time ever I am at one of its theatres, I must say that this theatre wasn't fully what I expected it to be. I mean, yes, the line was long and we got in and sat down fine, but the actual seats themselves were tiny and cramped and I'm 5'2", so imagine that! The seats weren't uncomfortable, but coming from Miami, I am used to much more space. Not to mention that we were among the lucky ones being in the chairs right in front of the bar and the accompanying souvenir shop. When we went to go get souvenirs, the amount of "excuse me's" were plenty. Despite this, the view we had was great and I really must echo other people's sentiments that there are no bad seats to watch a show there. Still, I would be curious to see how other theatres on Broadway compare. I feel this is a small one, and given that the show was packed, I am assuming it sold out, and eh, it really did show once we left. So many people for such little space.

Yelp
Just saw Anastasia and it was fantastic. This was the first show where alot of CIGI was used for the setting. It was very memorizing and the execution was great. Songs were amazing and brought me back to my childhood. If you are expecting something like the movie, its def not the same. But it was still a fantastic storyline. Sat in the orchestra section. Row H, seat 113 and 114. Def recommend these seats. Perfect view and it is an aisle seat. This is an older theater so the seats are smaller and cramped. I'm 5'0 so seating was fine for me. But for average height people like my bf the aisle seat will be best. Bathrooms are on the lower level. Of course there was a line for the womens so def go early. Once intermission hits run to the bathroom. I saw a few people miss the first act because of the long lines. Overall def enjoyed my time!
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
Just saw Jagged Little Pill here which is a must see. The ushers were friendly when entering and security check was speedy. The seats however had the smallest leg room ever. I'm 5 foot short and my knees were killing me by intermission.

Paul C.

Yelp
Just went to see A Beautiful Noise there. The show was great. Having said that, I am 6'-5", which I know is tall, but the seating in this theatre is horribly tight. I literally could not sit down because my legs would not fit. The folks next to use were kind enough to switch with us or we couldn't have stayed. I have attended shows in NY and SF, but never have I had any seating so tight. See photo.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Watched Anastasia Broadway musical here! First timer on box seatings...yikes! Bad angle on Section D because of the lighting/sound system effects' staged at where we were sitting! My date and I couldn't see parts of the stage because of the blockage! I bought them for the experience and for Anastasia because the film had the grandma sitting in the boxed seating so I'd thought it would be nice to experience the privacy of the section as well as for this own musical itself...wrong! I had to get second rounds of overpriced drinks to make up for my decision on that part! Drinks helped with soothing the concern, right? Yes, a bit. I couldn't enjoy the show fully because of the missed views, but it was good music and performance. I'm bummed that they didn't perform, "At The Beginning," song, which was my most favorite song of the film as well as in general. It's probably not meant to be.

Yelp
Beautiful venue. Beware of all the stairs if you have knee issues buy a seat in orchestra. Seating is typical for Broadway ...tight!!

Yelp
Anastasia was AMAZING!!!! I loved the scenery and the singing/dancing. The seats were incredibly comfortable and neither my daughter nor I are small or short!!!! We had an incredible view. The only issue which we encountered is that the theatre was VERY cold! I ended up having to put my arms inside my shirt to try to keep warm. I don't like that the bathrooms are way downstairs, but thankfully that wasn't an issue on this visit. Bags are searched on entry, and no outside food or drink is allowed in. I find it a pain, but it is good to know that they are safety conscious. The ushers and other employees were friendly and helpful. I was quite pleased with any I encountered. We were fortunate that the weather was perfect when we went! We were lined up outside to get in, as there is no real lobby in the theatre. The temperature was perfect and thankfully the predicted rain didn't show up. After the show, it was wonderful to stage door. Most of the cast came out, and they could not have been more gracious!!!! The star even sang happy birthday to several audience members, including my daughter.

Yelp
Went here to watch Anastasia on Thursday Night. The place is small but got a pretty nice seat in mezzanine. I can see the whole view of the show. The seating tight and a little bit crowded but it was good. Tiny ladies bathrooms. I highly recommend watching Anastasia- Its a great musical and performance level. Downside I don't think this place has elevator for those who need it.

David R.

Yelp
The Broadhurst is a long-standing Shubert Theater. The only "negative" comment I have about our experience seeing the play "Beautiful Noise" is that the seating was very (VERY!) cramped. We were in the Mezzanine and I was lucky, no one sat on one side of me. Also, it would be difficult to get out quickly in an emergency. Overall , it's a small theater. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed the play - sound & acoustics were very good.

Yelp
Came here on Tuesday to watch Anastasia on Broadway. It was a beautiful show. Very happy that I finally got to see it. The theater is decently sized. I think it's the same size as your average theater on Broadway. The seats are comfortable enough, however there's not much like space in front of you. The next row is about 2 inches from your kneecaps. But that's how it is in evert broadway theater. I had mezzanine seats and the biggest inconvenience was that there wasn't a bathroom until you get down to the basement which is 2 long floors down. That was quite a hassle to get to. On top of that, there's no elevator in this theater so I couldn't imagine how the handicap would access the bathroom. Definitely think this theater could use an update.

Yelp
Recently watched Frankie and Johnny. Broadhurst theatre is conveniently located in the Broadway Theatre district. Security check in is swift. The theatre is small and seats between a 1,000 to 1,500. It is a good mid size theatre that is fairly easy to get in and out. The theatre is a little worn around the edges however it is a great space to watch leading talent up close. Tickets are relatively inexpensive for NYC.

Yelp
There's not a bad seat in the house! (Maybe the four seats behind the poles/columns, but that's IT!) I went here to see Anastasia on a Sunday. Arrived about 20 minutes early and there's a decently long line out the door already (there's no room to wait inside so they don't let you in until right before you're showing time), so come prepared if it's cold out. The people checking our tickets weren't the nicest lot but you get over it because you're there to see a show, not deal with them for more than a couple minutes. I get inside and run straight to the lower level to go to the bathroom and there's already a line of about 10 women, but it moved fast. I'd read that there aren't a lot of stalls, but there were around 20 so I'd say that's pretty decent. Our seats were pretty high up - Mezzanine level, row H, seats 9 & 11 - but we had an actually awesome view. The theater is relatively small and the seats are staggered so you're pretty close to the stage no matter what. I would definitely go back and buy some cheaper seats in this area again if I was on a budget. Plus, there are bars/concession stands on every level so you don't have to trek to far for snacks!

Yelp
We sat in the first row of the balcony and the sight lines were great! On a cool fall night, the theater was chilly, but we just kept our coats on and it was fine. The seats are plenty wide. The depth of the seats is tight; you'll have to ask people to stand up to get out to run down to the bathroom. The ladies bathroom is bigger than expected, but still small. There's a merch stand in the basement too, which makes sense since the first floor is NYC tiny! I liked the overall feel of this theater. It is not ultra glamorous, but it feels like a historical theater that has been around a long time. We saw Anastasia, having purchased tickets from the Times Square booth last minute. The special effects were great (the train and the snow!) The cast was amazing. There's a special dance scene that is delightful. The script is maybe only so so.

Yelp
I've been to the Broadhurst five times in my life, most recently for the revival of "The Front Page". This is a very popular theater with producers, because it's perfectly sized for either larger plays or smaller musicals and it's on a prime 44th St. block. It's not that comfortable for theatergoers, however, especially upstairs. The mezzanine has slightly less legroom than average for a Broadway house (which is already dicey enough) and I've noticed that it's sometimes a touch warm inside. The men's room is on the landing going up the stairs to the mezzanine, which creates awkward traffic patterns. And many of the exit doors lead out to a sort of alley on the side of the theater, which means that there's a very narrow bottleneck of people trying to merge into the foot traffic on 44th, rather than coming straight out multiple doors onto the sidewalk. Oh well, at least there's a large bar in the mezzanine and you don't have to go downstairs at intermission. :)

Yelp
Saw Anastasia here and had right mezzanine seats. They were actually pretty good seats and the tickets were about $96 each. The show was great! Will call was easy and there was no line. I was able to enter through security and go through the doors with no issue. Since we were early we went to the restrooms down in the basement first, hit a souvenir stand and the bar. The drinks were expensive but that is because you get to keep the mug they came in. My cocktail drink was $24. The staff was friendly in helping everyone find their seats. The theater is set up where all the events are on the right and all the odd seats are on the left. This was my first Broadway performance in times square And it exceeded all expectations. I have seen a few musicals at the Pantages in Los Angeles but loved this little venue. Great performance! I would love to watch it again!!!!!

Yelp
Well, my experience at Jagged Little Pill was far better than Anastasia. They do keep the theater very cold but I am now prepared. The ushers were just fine. And they do scan your ticket as you reenter (no other theater that I know of does this) but it was an okay experience. The Broadhurst is old and the back aisle is cramped. There's nothing they can do about that. It's extremely hard to get in and out and the line for the booze merges with the line to go out to the street. And it's cramped seating. But at least the Anastasia ushers are gone--or on Lexapro. That's an improvement.

Yelp
**Disclaimer** I've only seen 2.5 broadway shows--Lion King and if you count Aladdin from Disneyland Ok.. so here goes: I was looking up tickets from Today Tix and found one available for 2pm. Seeing that it was already 1pm, I wanted to look for other shows before I made my purchase. When I came back, I couldn't find anything available at 2pm anymore! I decided to just go for it and see if they have any on the stalls. As I was walking, I noticed there are a bunch of lines stacking up quickly, I figured it was for the other shows. Unfortunately it was for Anastasia... I went ahead and risked it again and asked. They let me in and after I got a seat, they told me to just go ahead and enter. I got to skip the line by buying it right there and then! That's a PLUS! As soon as I walked in, i could already feel the vibe! It wasn't as fancy as Minskoff Theatre but it was definitely appropriate for Anastasia. The ceiling had a few chandeliers (I'm a sucker for those!) and the stage was elegantly decorated. I couldn't wait until the show started! The staff were very friendly as they directed us to our seats. As for the broadway show itself--oh my! I would definitely come back and watch it again. The execution of everything was impeccable! The cast... YES! BRAVO! I couldn't help but tear up! But then again, I don't think I've watched a broadway show without crying!!! Anyway, what are you waiting for? WATCH IT! WATCH THIS NOW!

Yelp
The theater is medium sized at the very least. Thought I haven't been in any of the really large Broadway theaters to compare, I have been in theaters so small that "intimate" doesn't really apply to this one. I was seated at the right end of row C in the Mezzanine. It wasn't all that far from the stage, since the Mezzanine overhang hits Orchestra row K, but I still put my new eyeglass prescription through its paces tonight. From what I could tell, all the sightlines in this theater are good. There are zero obstructions. "Wait...was she a great big fat person?" Yes, Buffalo Bill, I'm roomy in the hips and still did not have much of a problem with the seating. Though it's not the width that might be problematic. It's the legroom. I'm 5'9". Though my bum right knee was against the seat in front of me, I didn't feel too squished. I've been in Honda Accords with less room. The runtime for my show (Misery) was an hour and 30 minutes without an intermission and my legs didn't cramp, so I was fine. If you keep your both feet on the floor like the good Lord intended (I'm talking to every woman on the IRT who insists on crossing their legs, as well), then an average sized person shouldn't have a problem sitting in the mezzanine at least. Also, don't come after doing a day's worth of shopping with a bunch of bags. We've all seen that person. Don't be that person. There is literally nowhere for you to put them. The restrooms are located in the basement. Anyone who cares about that bit of information already knows to go before the show. Or before you even get into the theater for that matter. The older I get, the more important these things are to me. There are bars on two levels, so don't do the lemming thing and block the stairs for your over-priced cocktail. And if you want to do the whole Stagedoor Johnny thing, the stage door is to the left side of the marquee. Overall, it's a solid theater. Literally... solid. The seats and the floors don't squeak and creak all throughout the show to take you out of the moment. This I've noticed is a problem with many of these older theaters. Not this one. If it weren't for the legroom, it would easily be a 5 star rating. The Broadhurst is really a 4.5 star experience.

Yelp
Medium sized theater. Not spectacular as other larger theater. The seats are tighter on the lower level then that mezzanine. It that even possible? I felt more comfortable upstairs. The entrance is tight and cramp. The restrooms are in the basement with lots of stairs. I did not see an elevator so for those who require one will be a difficult time moving up and down.

Yelp
This review is solely based on a theater itself and not the musical that I saw at the theater. I had mezzanine seats and a leg room was very very very tight. I'm only 5'4" and I couldn't even sit straight with my knees ahead of me. I had to sit sideways (and at times had to 'man-spread') and although it was uncomfortable, it was a better option than sitting forward. I'm not even sure how other people who are taller than me even managed without cramping up. Good thing I had no one to the left and right sides of me so I sat slanted and stretched out my legs as much as I wanted. I also thought The acoustics could have been improved. There was some parts that I felt the sound was very weak and did not radiate through the entire theatre as intended. Other than the configuration of the Theatre seating, the staff and ushers were very polite and aesthetically, the theatre itself is clean and well-maintained.

Yelp
I've seen a few shows here. I'm a little guy and the seats are cramped. Lavatories are in the lower level. Men's room isn't too bad. I saw "Misery", which was only about 90 minutes with no intermission and that was okay but I think for a longer show I would have been much more uncomfortable.

Yelp
Came here to see "Jagged Little Pill" before everything shut down. I don't remember having to adjust too much to see the stage, it was another nice theater though who knows how that's going to be used or when it will reopen. Staff was friendly and helpful and I had no issues here. If things reopen, I might return and see an affordable show while wearing a mask.
