Broadway Hotel

Stayed here with my parents who are from Assam in the 90s; my mother had been coming to this hotel since the 70s. I started drinking at the bar around 2010. Fifteen years later, the place feels unfamiliar. The menu is confusing biryani and desserts sharing the same space and they ask couples to share tables even on days when there’s hardly a crowd. The simple joy of waiting for a place and chatting with the doorman is gone. Maybe today’s kids are more impatient, quick to leave a bad review. It’s deeply disappointing. I’ve never witnessed such a shift in all these years. Perhaps this is the way forward, but sadly, Broadway now feels like just another place. Future generations will never know what it once was.

They bring the gaslighters from their kitchen to especially serve you. It takes hours for the bill, the food and drinks are slow, but all the while they'll tell you it's gonna be 2 minutes. You can't leave until the bill comes, nothing is automated so orders get wrong and extra charges get added. If your Puja destination is this, don't. Not worth the headache and extra hours. I like the retro ambience, but like their aesthetic their system is also stuck in the 80s.

The food quality is average, but the restaurant’s service is extremely slow. We had to wait for nearly 1.5 hours just to receive our starters. Eventually, we cancelled our main course as it was taking far too long. The elderly manager simply stood at the door without offering any help, overall, a very disappointing experience.

Tuhin is very well behaved and polite. He is one of the best attendant I have met in Broadway. The ambience and the behaviour is amazing. They are kind and very friendly.

Nice atmosphere in the actual bar, not sure about the cocktail one as it was quite quiet. Lemon drop martini was okay, good prices for the area but the place was a great room!

One of the most famous bars in Kolkata. Very popular amongst the locals. Draught beer with a wide range of side dishes is a must try.

The food was too good .Mr.Tuhin served us and he was really nice as well ..please try the carmel coffee tart guys too good

The bar is very Affordable and vintage with great ambience, The draught beers are authentic and the quality of food is also good.
