Dan Pashman’s Grub Street Diet

"I got dough from our local pizzeria, Broadway Pizza, for make-your-own-pizza night and made my usual: I coated the dough in olive oil and cooked it solo so it got an oily, focaccia-like crust, then added feta, artichokes, and za’atar, cooked it a few more minutes, and finished it with Maldon salt." - Chris Crowley

If you are looking for a good pizza and some great service, look no further. The price for a large pepperoni pizza was very reasonable. The taste was good. The crust had some give to it with a crispy bottom. I have no complaints and would come back if I was still on the area. The service was fantastic. They have this thing down to a science. They were able to work through the line like clock work.

I used to work at the plaza of the Americas many years ago. My husband invited me to came to pick up his laptop here and the only place, I recalled, I wanted to revisit was this Italian place. I was so happy it was still opened; Broadway pizza. Perfect place to get a tasty and original pizza on the go. Loved the kind service and food quality.

Google
Best pizza and best service where everything is an "excellent choice!" They've been here at this same location for 36 years after relocating to Dallas from Times Square New York. Pro tip....ask for your slice "well done" and the white spinach is local fav. Great people you are supporting and everything is very affordable.

I’ve been coming to this place since I was in the 8th grade. I’ve tried numerous pizza places since and no one comes close to them! It’s absolutely the best pizza I’ve ever had hands down! This is why I will always get a slice, or two, or three from here whenever I’m in the area. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed if you give their pizza a try!

Literally the best authentic fresh ingredients! I got a slice of pizza on the go at opening today while visiting elsewhere in the tower building! I had to come back and get pasta for later before closing. The most friendly, down to earth staff ever. It’s a must visit for Italian classic cuisine!

We were here for calzone but was told we always have to call for it before coming in. Apparently they specialize on pizza. Anyway the calzone wasn’t up to par. I would thought they would do a good job. It was as though they put it together in 1min. But the sauce helped us with a good taste so it wasn’t bad after all.

Will never come here again.. Ordered a blacken chicken salad for 11$, and it mostly lettuce with small shavings of meat 😢.. Highly disappointed. Stuff is to high and folk work to hard to put up with this..

Yelp

Yelp
If I were rating Broadway Pizza by cost, I'd give it a solid three star. But I'm all about the quality, and in as such, BP earns a well-planted two Yelpers. A real Italian stereotype behind the counter does not good pizza make (I can say that, I'm Italian). He was a diligent and hard worker, I'd give him that, slinging pies around the hot ovens with surgical precision. But the quality: Like sbarro. Selection: Like sbarro. Cost: Like sbarro. Presentation: Not as nice as sbarro. Salad: Iceberg with tomatoes and carrots. Beyond basic. This is a place when you need to get in and out quick, for cheap. And I believe it's the only pizza game at The Plaza of the Americas, downtown Dallas.

Yelp
We were attending Dance Nationals at the AT & T performing arts center & walked over to food court at the Plaza of the Americas - pizza was great and very filling

Yelp
GREAT pizza and service! Owner/Manager is always friendly and makes me laugh. Lunch special for a giant slice of pizza, side salad, and a drink is only $7.25 so it's a must at least twice a week.

Yelp
This SAME O SAME O pizza you can get at every corner of downtown Dallas ,Same unseasoned sauce, same cheap cheese and same cardboard pizza crust at this place ,I will never eat here again

Yelp
I've had a few different slices and they're all good. Thin crust, heated while you go thru the line, decent options. My only problem is that I think it's a little pricey for what you're getting and sometimes when they give it to you at the end of the line, it's not actually hot. They're not shy with the garlic, so make sure you have a mint for afterwards. You could fend off vampires after lunch with zero effort. Also, there's a definite rushed feel to the thing, which is slightly annoying, but they are pleasant enough while pushing you thru the line and out the door.

Yelp
Love this place for lunch. They are located in Plaza of the Americas. The staff is wonderful. When you order they always...without fail...tell you "EXCELLENT CHOICE!" And so far, they've never been wrong. This is that old-styled-huge-sliced pizza that is NOT cooked on a conveyor belt. The pizza crust is wonderful tasting. They have some specialty pizzas sold by the slice along side the standards. Try the stuffed meat pizza, or the white pizza with the sliced tomatoes and spinach. Get a side of sauce for dipping. They also have great calzones and stromboli. And if you opt for a salad you can add cheese bread for $1.25 (it's almost a meal by itself). You can also order pasta. I've had the lasagna, which rivals sit-down restaurants. And the servings on the pasta make two meals for me, and are under $5. If you want a whole pizza to take home, you can order it anytime and pick it up around 3 p.m. Large pies are only about $15 and they are 18" cut into 8 huge slices. Usually two slices is a whole meal. The only sad note is that it's cash only.

Yelp
It's really convenient to get a slice of pizza from here if you work in one of the connecting buildings. I've had my fair share of visits at Broadway Pizza; however, it was only out of convenience. The service is not nice at all. They are rude and always in a hurry to get you in and out. The pizza is ok, but it's in no means amazing pizza. Since I don't work in this area anymore, I would have no reason to ever return here!

Yelp
Amazing service "excellent choice" ...the cheese pizza is very fresh, wonderful crest...The garlic bread is amazing... Keep up the good work!!!!

Yelp
Pretty good for NY style pizza. Great friendly service, crisp crust, good flavor in the sauce. The sausage was just okay to me. These guys know how to put it together, its quick service and you're sitting to eat or taking it back to the office.

Yelp
I eat here because it's close, not because it's particularly good. Every time I go I wish the pizza was better. The crust is a bit too thick and the sauce is bland. Mushrooms come from a can and are too salty. Service, however, is excellent and quick.

Yelp
In on a Saturday evening for AnimeFest and they are one of maybe four options available and one of two good for picky kids (McD's being the other!). Even though they have a full menu to choose from on view, they tell us they only have premise pizza available when we inquire about ordering cheese bread (my kid hates any kind of tomato product but loves cheese pizza with no sauce). Fine, she's hungry so she'll scrape off what she can and wash the rest down with the $4 bottle of apple juice we buy next door so we order two for a total of $7 and my friend's daughter orders two sausage and pepperoni slices (and that kid will eat almost anything at least once!). Both kids stopped eating halfway through their first slice and said it was "gross" and " too chewy and spicy". My friend took a bite of his daughter's and said it wasn't cooked enough and that the sauce was disgusting. We them took them to Ronald's place for fries and threw the remaining $13 worth of pizza into the garbage can. You feed a hungry adult crap food and we'll usually choke it down with the adage "something is better than nothing" ringing in our heads and the pinch of our bank accounts going down in our pockets... but you can't expect that of kids these days. So disappointed.

Yelp
Can't believe what my son told me about this place. He and a friend went in late and ordered a whole pizza ($17) the person working there told him he wouldn't sell them a whole pie at the menu price because he could make more selling it by the piece ($3 slice) and he was out of dough. I called and talked to the owner the next day and he said yeah he was there and that's exactly what happened. I said that was a heck of way to run a business and he told me to "f--- off." At least you know the price of his integrity, $7.

Yelp
Best pizza. Even better people. They've been there for as long as I can remember and have always made delicious pizza. Big slices so thats always a plus in my book.

Yelp
The big guy (buff) who I think is the owner is pretty rude. Nice to other customers though I've noticed. He puts on face real well. His employees are pretty nice and respectful though. However I will not spend my money here again.

Yelp
Excellent choice indeed. Hard to imagine what else to expect from any business let alone a restaurant. Great value. Superb service and great food. Thank u

Yelp
The lasagna is amazing and the service rocks! Best place to eat in the Plaza! This is absolutely the best lasagna I've ever had. It was my cheat-day go-to. The staff are fun and flirtatious (in a respectful way) as they try to know each patron. Pizza isn't amazing, but that's because the lasagna us to die for. The prices are reasonable, the kitchen is clean and the staff are hilarious. Eat here.

Yelp
Great pizza, large slices, and service with a smile!!! Not only is the pizza fantastic, but the sandwiches are too. Ordering for a large group? Special treatment and pricing to boot. Don't let the lunch line fool you...it moves fast. Try the lunch special pizza salad and a drink it is cheaper than a fast food value meal.

Yelp
Best cheap NY style pie in Dallas that I have had. Greasy, crispy in all the right spots and a perfect spot for work lunch. This is the best thing you can get in The Plaza of the Americas. The people running the shop are the best! Sure you can get a better gourmet pie and a neopolitan spot or Coal Vines... but for the money this is the best. Especially if you like a traditional NYC experience and taste. I promise.. coming here is an EXCELLENT CHOICE MAN!

Yelp
Amazing service and even better pizza! I ordered the lasagna pizza and it was so delicious - crispy and flavorful. Will definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
Excellent Choice!! Great crust, good toppings. Have been working in the area and staying at the hotel. Great deal on the lunch special. Good service. Fast and prompt. Have eaten here 2 days a week for the past six weeks. Very convenient for lunch and one of the best restaurants in the mall area. Glad to have found this place for some filling and tasty food and a good price.

Yelp
Didn't like the fact that they have a 5 dollar minimum on credit card purchase but half their menu is 4 dollars or below. So if you want one slice of pizza, like I did, and your not carrying cash then you're SOL.

Mili L.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. Food tastes amazingly good, it's fresh and the best part is staff's positive attitude. They are always smiling and they make you feel welcome. My favorite is lasagna pizza but I also love their spaghetti with meatballs served with cheese bread. Keep up the good work!

Didi M.

Yelp
The best pizza and lasagna I have had in Dallas. They definetely have got the secret recipe. You should try the white/supreme pizzza. Delicious!!! Every time someone wants to eat pizza, I always recommend this place because their food is superior. Love it.

Richard J.

Yelp
It's not gourmet pizza like you find at pricey Italian restaraunts, but it is as good as lunch-time pizza gets. REAL cheese, FRESH vegetable toppings, CRISP crust and SUPERIOR customer service. The guys behind the counter make the quickie pizza lunch experience an enjoyable fare.
